Lenovo T61 palmrest , want to change it with T400 palmrest!
Hello thinkpad users .As seen in the title this is the operation that i`m willing to make on my new t61 laptop .I heard that this kind of change could be made without problem .
But i have 2-3 questions.If i change the palmrest do i have to buy a new touchpad chip ,or is it possible to use the t61 old touchpad component (the thing under the plastic palmrest ) with the new t400 palmrest !?
My laptop came with a finger print reader module.Surely i have to buy the new palmrest with fp intergrated on it ,but same, could i use the old fp module ,or i have to buy a new one special for this t400 palmrest .To be more precise do i have to buy the palmrest only with the hole for the fp reader ,or with the fp reader module integrated !?

I could be wrong, but I don't think this is possible. I just built a T400 and I was hoping that the plastics were the same as the smaller 14.1" T61, but they were not. I didn't specifically try to swap the palmrests, but everything else is different so I don't think the would exchange.
Also, the touchpad and FPR are part of the palmrest on both model. You can remove the touchpad, but they are usually replaced together.

I am trying to connect to 32" LCD TV 1080P from T61 with a VGA connector. When I do (Fn+Ctrl+F7) I can see the T61's output on my TV if I set T61's display setting as 1280x768. Then If I increase the resolution on the TV the screen becomes black. I want to change the display setting to 1920x1080 so that I can see output as full screen on my TV.
Notebook setting as follows
Color Quality - 32 bit
Refresh Rate - 60 Hertz
How can I change the screen resolution?Most likely the TV won't support higher resolutions via the VGA connector. But there is a workaround.
After spending several hours at a TV store last October, we found an obscure reference in the TV's manual stating this limitation. We also discovered that HDMI will support the max resolution. The T61p docking station has a DVI port that outputs a signal that can be converted to HDMI. We bought a DVI-to-HDMI conversion plug ($75) and took the docking station, conversion plug and an HDMI cable back to the store. Worked great so we bought the 65" LCD for trade shows. There are some settings to play with on both the T61p and the TV that will increase the image clarity significantly. The image is stunning at full res. -

Want to change payer and update credit limit data with out delete documents

I have a problem that user feed 50-60 documents ( Sale order & delivery ) with wrong payer. Now we want to change payer and shift credit limit data ( open sale order , open delivery ) from old payer to new payer is any option for this.

Ideally in your case, you may have to delete the delivery documents and then recreate the deliveries after updating the payer in the sales order. This is because the source for the partner function in Delivery will be mostly updated as "from sales order" and hence it is not possible to change the payer in the delivery document.
In this case, you have to first find out the relevant delivery documents and delete them
Then you can change the partners in the sales order
Finally you can recreate the delivery documents.
However I would request you to do the following test before following this.
In the SO, change the payer without deleting the delivery. If the partner in delivery gets changed automatically then it is fine. You can ensure this by checking the delivery in DISPLAY mode.
If payer is not changing automatically then go to delivery in CHANGE mode and now check it. If the payer changes automatically now, you are spared with the pain of deleting and recreating deliveries once again.
If both of them fails, then the only way is to delete deliveries first, change payer in SO and then recreate deliveries.
This is applicable only if PGI is not yet done. -

You need to transfer your domain.sites file from your MacBook to your iMac. This is the file where iWeb stores all info and can be found under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites.
Transfer this file from your MacBook to the same place on your iMac and double click the domain.sites file and iWeb will open it on your iMac and you can update your site from there too. -
I created the apple ID that I currently have about 6 years ago and I want to change my primary email from my childish one to my most current email that I constantly use, but I think I accidentally created an apple ID with that email, I want to delete that apple ID so that I can just plug my new email in with all of my old information (that is still the same). I don't believe Apple lets you delete old accounts. They also will not let you merge them.

Although I can access iCloud, my system preferences on my iMac still show Mobile.me. I have to sign in with my mobile.me ID which is not the same as my Apple ID. I want to change my iCloud ID and password to be consistent with my Apple ID and password. How do I do it?
you need to be running OSX 10.7 or 10.8 to use iCloud i believe. It shows you are using 10.6.8 which doesn't support iCloud.

You can't merge accounts, if you start using the gmail account for iCloud by logging out of the me ID in system preferences and back in using the gmail ID, you'll need to copy all your data in calendars etc to the gmail account. you also won't be able to use the me address for mail unless you add the me account as a secondary account at system preferences > mail, contacts and calendars.

Need help with what to do if I want to change my apple id but my id is my icloud e-mail address

I have spent days and hours trying to find a definite answer on what I can do with my situation. I have been able to figure out that I cannot change my apple id because my apple id is my icloud e-mail address. But does that leave me no option? Does that mean that I will have to create a new apple id and subsequently I will also get a new icloud e-mail address? If so, then how will I retain all of my purchases? Is it possible to delete my icloud account and then change my apple id?

If you want to want to change your Apple ID and your iCloud email address, you'll need to create a new Apple ID using the name you want, then create a new iCloud account with it and migrate your data to the new account. After creating your new Apple ID, save any photo stream photos on your iOS device that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iDevice and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted. Then sign back in with a new Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data to the new account. You will then have to recreate your notes in the new account from the emails you sent earlier. When you turn on Mail in Settings>iCloud you will choose your new @icloud.com email address.
Once this is done on the first device, if you have other devices, you can just save any photo strema photos, delete the existing account, then choose Delete from My iDevice (since the data is already in the new account) and sign back in with the new ID to download the data.
You'll then have to decide if you want to keep using the old ID for iTunes or not. Personally, I wouldn't recommend changing it to a new ID for several reasons. First, all of your current purchased media is tied to the current ID and cannot be moved to your new ID. This means that you will end up with different things purchased with different IDs over time, which can make things complicated. Secondly, if you have already enabled automatic downloads, or have downloaded previous purchased using your old ID, you cannot change it to your new ID for 90 days from the time you first did this. Once this waiting period expires you can then change to the new ID and access previous purchases with your new ID, but you would not be able to access previous purchased from the old ID again for another 90 days. (This is what I mean by it being complicated to have multiple Apple IDs for iTunes purchases.) -
I have changed my Apple ID name and I want to change it on iCloud, however I am not able to delete the previous account because I need to turn off the Find my iPhone - and for that I need to log in with the old name and that is not working. Help anyone?

Can I change my verified primary email address that is currently associated with my apple id? I don't want to change my apple id because I have music and apps assoicated with it. I tired following some of the posts that shows going to an apple dialog that allows you to update your apple id and primary email separately, but when I try doing it I get a dialog that says I can update my apple id and my primary email. I don't want to change my apple id only my primary email. Anyone have any suggestions? That email is going away soon. Thanks for any help.
Did you change the email for the Apple ID or did you create a new Apple ID? A new Apple ID cannot be used with content that was bought using a different Apple ID.
