Lenovo Tab 2 A7-30 Is Very Similar To The First Version, Will The Original A3300 Get Lollipop Too?

The processor is the same, the display is the same, but the tab 2 has 16gb internal memory.
But I know our A3300 can handle Lollipop. Please make a Lollipop upgrade for our tab!

If they're not going to release a lollipop update to the first version, do you think we could flash the firmware from the tab 2

  • When the first version of the Restore Session tab was implemented in an update for Firefox?

''Duplicate post, continue here - [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/806369]''
Essentially, I'm trying to find out how many sessions I can restore since, after the creation of this feature, I typically allowed the "Restore Session" Tab to remain in the window, allowing me to at least access the last few sessions later on when I'm much less busy. Unfortunately, I let it get a bit out of hand. Is there any way for me to find out how many sessions I have saved in this way by searching through files or folders affiliated with this browser? Even if the history clears about every 290 something days, are these sessions and the information they require stored in such a way that the clearing of history would not create a problem if I want to restore very old sessions that were left in this manner? (I recently changed it to allow all of my history to be saved, rather than just limiting the number of days, but I fear I might have taken this action too late. And I'm going to download a "Session Manager" add-on, to help me with this in the future, but, I'm still worried about these past sessions.) Any help or information would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

You can only manage multiple sessions with an extension like Session Manager (extends the build-in session restore) or Tab Mix Plus (has its own implementation of session restore, so can be less reliable if Firefox doesn't close properly). The basic build-in Firefox session restore only handles the previous session. Firefox 4 has a button on the about:home page and a menu entry (History > Restore Previous Session), but Firefox 3 doesn't have that feature. Session Restore stores a list of currently open tabs, so the amount of history that you keep shouldn't matter.

How can I get the phone numbers in contacts to appear with dashes between the first 3 numbers, the next 3 numbers, and the last 4 numbers?  Until very recently
it did so.  Contacts on my macbook pro does show up this way.  I do have a mobile me account and in the past syncing was no problem.  What setting has changed?

The phone number format as well as the date language and format and the time format are controlled by the Region Format setting. Go to Settings > General >International > Region Format.  When you change a region format, you can go back one page (to International) and see an example of the date/time/phone number format that your selected region format will produce.

What version of iTunes do you have installed? If you are trying to update to iOS 6 you need iTunes 10.7 or later.

  • Will the next version restore the very useful "Bookmark all tabs" option? This was the closest Firefox feature to Opera's "save session" option; I can't believe it was taken away.

Sometimes FF has crashed and lost its "memory" of the tabs I had opened. I want to have a backup in case that happens, so I know what tabs I had up and can restore them.

Some menu entries in the main menu bar are hidden if you use the mouse and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu (Bug 626825).
You can see the difference if you use Alt+F to open the File menu or other menus like the Edit menu (Alt+E) and Bookmarks menu (Alt+B) and compare that to what you see if you use the mouse to open the menu after you have made the menu bar visible by tapping Alt or by pressing F10.
    * "Bookmark All Tabs" (Shift+Ctrl+D) no longer shows in the Bookmarks menu unless you open the Bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).
    * "Bookmark All Tabs" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of a tab on the tab bar.
    * "Bookmark This Page" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of that browser page.

  • How many pages can be open in one single tab before I lose the first page of the tab?

I use a tab for weather info on many places and I have lost the first few ones if I put too many places. Example: First page is Vancouver, last New York, and in the middle many places. How much pages is it safe to put in a single tab without losing ANY places from the beginning of the tab? EXTREMELY irritating to lose ones as I have to put all the places again (of course in fewer numbers)!
PS.Mozilla: If I shut down Firefox and I'm in the end of the tab containing the previous weather pages, I only get around 10 or so places backwards and lose all others, this SHOULD CHANGE! I want to have at least 30 places backwards there when I come back! Weather is not the only thing where people want tab-pages to be saved and safely there for the next session. This has bothered me for a year, please change this!

I'm not totally sure how many pages Firefox can remember. Its a lot though. If you want to view them, and count them if you want, click the back icon and hold it and a list will come up of recent web pages. I like your change idea though.
    Cheers
    Jon

  • Mouse wheel stops scrolling page, and sometimes refresh does not refresh the correct tab, but the first one in the window.

I have 27 firefox windows open with a grand total of 141 tabs.
Some times the input is directed to the wrong window. I will click refresh and it will refresh the first tab in a window, but not the tab I am on. Apparently this also happens when I try and use the mouse wheel or the up and down arrow to scroll a page.
Some times it works correctly on 1 window, but when I switch to another scrolling stops working.
Usually rebooting the computer helps, but I should not have to do that.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

  • My Macbook Pro is very very slow with OFFICE.. when will the new office

come out? the one that is native to OSX... not using ROSSETTA or somehting?
    Thanx!

I've never run into a word document or excel spreadsheet that didn't display properly in NeoOffice, and deal with dozens of office files each day. I suppose files with complex layouts may have issues, but I have yet to run into one. YMMV, I guess. In any case, it's native, quick, and free, so it doesn't hurt to try it out.
I've had really bad luck with Office on the Mac - buggy, slow, awkward non-mac-like interface, plus it installs junk all over your system (in typical MS fashion). Plus, it's fairly expensive. The next version of office shows some promise - the MS mac team supposedly did a serious overhaul on the interface and internals, but time will tell. The only thing I really miss is the AppleScript support - Office is very script-friendly.

  • Under options/tabs: open new windows in a new tab instead does not work. many sites open their popups or new windows NOT in a tab as it should. How to solve this, has been a problem in the last versions incl. the latest.

i would like the option ´open new window in new tab instead´ working properly so no new windows will be opened except when I command them to..
as said, many websites have popups (most are blocked, still some come through) who open in a new window.

Type '''about:config''' in the Location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key. When you see a warning, click '''I'll be careful, I promise!''' button.
    * Preferences that have been modified are shown as '''bold (user set)'''.
    * Preferences can be '''Reset to the default''' or changed via the right-click context menu.
-> In the '''Filter bar''' type '''browser.link.open_newwindow'''
    * Right click the preference '''browser.link.open_newwindow''' and click '''Modify'''
    * change the value to '''3'''
    * click OK
-> In the '''Filter bar''' type '''browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction'''
    * Right click the preference '''browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction''' and click '''Modify'''
    * change the value to '''0''' (zero)
    * click OK
-> Close the '''about:config''' tab and then Restart Firefox.
Check and tell if its working.

  • It seems that a very large number of people are re-installing verson 3.6 due to the vast number of problems with the latest version, will this force an extension of the support cutoff date for version 3.6?

Been running ver 3.6 ever since it came out and it's only crashed a few times. No other problems at all

We had to do some serious gymnastics to remove at least most of the ability to use IPB. We removed it from the gui, but unfortunately, if they know the hotkey, they can still bring it up. Security has some serious headaches with this, as by law they have to be able to track where students go, and going with private browsing removes their ability to do forensic work they're required to be able to do. Not a very well thought out feature from Mozilla in my opinion, but it is what it is. Successive versions have made it even more difficult to remove even the gui portion.
We do plan to release ESR due to the aforementioned security issues, but testing has been slow.
But thanks for the reply. I think we can turn off the updates if it isn't already done.

  • Why in the new versions are the tabs half the size than in version 30?

When I upgraded, the tabs were half the size than in version 30.

Hi jjalarie, your question was about "size" without specifying what dimension. Thank you for clarifying that, but maybe you could have been nicer about it.
What two versions are you comparing, exactly? The currently available version is 33.1 but the forum software detected your version as Firefox 30.

  • Do you recomended a lollipop update to LENOVO TAB 2 A10-70?

I found some many complaints about that updated, please lenovo what happened ???I just buy a LENOVO TAB 2 A10-70 today and have some many bugs with the Dolby app,WiFi,......I just wait to see if lenovo is working on any update,I have 15 days to return this tablet....please this tablet is great.... Not leave alone lenovo

I figured that I'd give the update a try and if it didn't work out then I'd return it and buy another to keep KitKat...   I'm happy to say that the upgrade to Lollipop went smoothly and everything appears to be working correctly - no issues with WiFi, audio, battery life or anything else that I can observe.  I initially thought that web browsing performance was a bit slower, but after some more use I now think it is at least equal if not better than KitKat.  I don't bother with benchmarks, for me it either feels good or it doesn't. I upgraded my tablet shortly after receiving it, so I had not installed many apps before upgrading to Lollipop and the tablet was fairly clean.  The upgrade went very smoothly, taking about 15 minutes to install.  I received the architectural error others have mentioned after the primary upgrade, but ignored it and continued to install the last update that followed.  The last update suggested performing a factory reset which I did, and when the tablet rebooted all errors were gone. All in all it was a painless experience and I am satisfied with the result.  I think two factors might be causing others some trouble...  I personally would start with a clean tablet, so if you have installed many apps I would perform a factory reset both before and after the Lollipop update.  My screen never went black for long, but in any event once the update starts you should just leave the tablet alone until it completes.  I set the sleep timer to max so it wouldn't power down while the update is in process. Curiously, the major update to 5.01 Lollipop was identified by Lenovo as simply bug and stability fixes (but 1300+ MB), while the last patch with bug fixes had much more verbage and warned of data being deleted, and also mentioned performing the factory reset...  Lenovo should improve their changelog notes for these patches because the biggest one doesn't very clearly state it is upgrading to Lollipop. Anyway, its cool that Lenovo keeps updating the tablet,  Asus never provided any updates to my old Memo Pad FHD10.  The Tab 2 A10 is a great deal and I'm very happy with it.

  • Very similar procedure almost milion times slower

    Hello,
I have two PL/SQL procedures, both doing the same. The first one has all values hardcoded in it, the second one expects some input parameters which it uses in the select. However, it is the same select in both procedures! They both return a ref cursor, which I try to fetch in my program. The problem is, that while fetching a cursor from the 1st one (hardcoded) takes approx 0,1 sec, to fetch a cursor from the 2nd one it takes cca 15 seconds. Can someone help me find out why?

That's what I am saying. Both the select are exactly the same! No, the execution plan - and that means the actual runtime one not the one you get from TOAD etc. Probably the execution plans are different because the hardcoded literals give the optimizer more information. If you take the hardcoded version and the bind variable version and you compare them by replacing the bind variables with hardcoded values then of course they will then be the same.
If I copy out the select from ReturnCursor1 (with hardcoded values) it has a cost of approx. 115If a query isn't performing well then very likely the optimizer's estimate is off, and so the cost is not what it should be. You shouldn't normally care what cost is reported.

  • The waveform chart in the tab control

    Hi,
I'd like to change the plot number and the plot name of a waveform chart in a tab control.
First of all, it works fine without a tab control, but I have many charts(such as temperature, pressure, voltage...) so that I put each chart into the pages of a tab control.
Error 1077 happened when I "add" the plot number and change the plot name.
The following is a sample I made to describe this problem.
Let's begin if the number is 20, so there are 20 plots in that chart in page 2.

Do not turn on the switch, change C to 3, minus N to 18, and run it and it can be seen that the tab control will switch to page1.
Switch to page 2, and the plot names are updated but left some relic.
Add N to 22, change C  to 2, and run it again.
Error 1077 happened! Switch to page 2, and the plot number is still 20, and the plot names are updated to 20.
Run it again, and it works fine!
It is very tricky for me.
If I switch to the page 2 first and run the program, it works fine too.
(That is, if the switch is turn on, then the program works fine.)
The LabVIEW version of mine is 2011.
I'm not sure I missed or misunderstanded something about this problem.
Does someone can give me some suggestion? Thanks a lot
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi, Bob_Schor,
I'm sorry my poor expression confused you.
All I want is to demonstrate that the chart in the 'hidden' page of the tab control results in the error when the user tried to add plot number and change the plot name.
To make a scenario more specific, there is two pages in a tab control, one is for setting, the other is for the plotting.
When the user change the channel configuration, the chart is going to change correspondingly.
If I'd like to change the plot number and plot names, there is possiby a problem when staying in the setting page.
I hope I do not mislead you to the wrong direction
You're right I should make the parameters more clear to facilitate reader understand my purpose easily.
Switch True means switch to the chart page before the modification of the chart, and return to the first page after the modification. Switch False means stay in the first page while the chart is modified.
C is used to make the plot name different among each execution. If the plot names of the chart in the previous execution are [101, 102, 103, 104, 105], and I'd like to decrease the plot names to three items [101, 102, 103], but in the case of the false switch, it will be [101, 102, 103, 104, 105], it is hard to tell if it is really updated. I can change C to 2, and the plot names in this execution will be [201, 202, 203, 104, 105], it could be shown it is updated indeed but left some unexpected plot names[104, 105](I call it relic...).
N is just the plot number the user can increase or decrease it.
I'm afraid of being the guy you mentioned...
Like my original post, I probably have several charts to show their results(temperature, pressure, voltage...) so that I make a tab control of 6 pages, and put a chart in each page. The user can also determine the channel numbers of each kind of measurement before the acquisition. I didn't think too much about it(actually now I still have this direct simple idea only...), what would you do if you have to show these data? Very thanks to your reply

  • Tabs issue uppon upgrade with 4.0.1 just says "connecting" the whole time.

ever since i have upgraded to 4.0.1 i can connect to a web page fine, but my tabs don't show me what page im on like facebook etc... just says "connecting" and also doesn't display an icon. HELP!

I had the same problem and tried disabling all the ColorfulTabs add on. That didn't help.
The problem was seemingly solved when I removed ColorfulTabs and went to their website and downloaded the latest version.
    The website is [http://www.binaryturf.com/free-software/colorfultabs-for-firefox/] .
I installed the version for FF5.
    Everything is working fine now.
Good luck. This is a very frustrating problem. It really messed with me in an organizational sense.
