Lenovo tablet A3000 doesn't charge as it powered on

Hello
Please I have the following strange problem with my A3000 tablet, recently as I try to cahrge the tablet while it is powered on I got the charge mark on the battery for few seconds and then it disappear and the tablet of course doesn't charge. However as I turn off the tablet and connect the charger it start to charge normally without any problem.
Any suggestions?
Thank you,

Try a forced restart(power button+vol up until the phone vibrates). It shoud charge fine.

  • Another lenovo (W530) doesn't charge a battery

    Hi folks!
I was a happy owner of brand new W530 machine untill I mentioned that it doesn't charge the battery.
The machine came to me with 94% charged batt and since then it got to 4% mark.
    Symptoms:
-Lenovo Power Manager detects the batt, says it's good and charging, doesn't estimate how long it would get to charge it.
-Windows power manager says "Pluged in, charging"
-W530 worked perfectly on the batt, I made it to drain the battery by unplugging power cord and running "heavy" applications.
-The battery indicator on top cover is flashing orange once per second.
-AC Power source outputs 20.5V, BIOS v.1.08, Lenovo software of the most current versions.
    What I've tried:
-Uninstalling and reinstalling Lenovo Power Manager.
    -Enabling/Disabling/Uninstalling "Microsoft ACPI - blah-blah"
-Unplugging power cord and battery, pressing power button for 40 seconds and assebmling all together.
    Any working ideas are wellcome.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

What have happened since my last post:
Note: Lenovo power manager used to estimate power consumption 60-70W even if W530 in idle state. I thought it's ok, w530 is a powerful machine with 170W AC adapter.
Lenovo was charging the battery very  slow (estimated 14 hours to full from 40%), with stops.
I was looking through this forum and desided to check if I have CUDA enabled. I launched GPU-Z and found out that K2000M was suspened. Then device manager showed me troubles with K2000M. I reinstalled it with fresh drivers and rebooted. Despite K2000M was functioning since then, power consumtion is floating between 28-33W (almost idle state) and the battery is being charged like it should (1% per 2-3min).
Now I may confirm that my lenovo works fine.
BTW It's still about 0.35V between first and last battery contacts. Looks like w530 doesn't output charging current if it doesn't detect any battery.
    PS Still no CUDA support

  • IPad doesn't charge all the time

Ipad doesn't charge all the time

Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

  • Battery doesn't charge but ibook still runs on ac?

I've got a 2004 iBook G4 1.0ghz processor 1.25gb ram. Had it 16 months, no problems so far until today.
When I plug in the AC the laptop runs off this power- the battery symbol changes to show the power plugs- but the battery does not charge. It stays at 49%, no matter how long I wait. I tried inserting my backup battery and it doesn't charge either, it just stays at 26%. The laptop will run off the battery if it needs to, I just can't get any more power into the battery itself. And the leds in the adaptor do not change colour anymore, they are always out. Applecare recommended a PMU reset, which I did, but nothing changed. Next recommendation was to take it in to the shop. I'm hesitant because my original iBook never really came back from the shop... it had 3 logicboard failures and a hard drive failure in the first 90 days. My current iBook is a replacement. Hopefully this is not logicboard as well. If there's anyone out there who has experienced something similar and has some non-invasive advice please help! Thanks.

Same here with my AT270 bought in January 2013. The tablet does not load and remains on the screen with the red battery without recharging.
Even powered on, the tablet does not charge.
I am looking for a replacement battery, but the one I found on the web are more than 50€ would you have a better price?
    Thank you in advance.

  • Battery doesn't charge on my newly purchased t500

when i discover my new t500 is completely out of battery the first time, i immediately plugged it in to charge. i notice it doesn't charge, if i doble click power management it recognizes the battery but it doens't chaqrge no matter what i do with the setting. (it was at )%
what i did was take out the battery and then put it back in, and it works. i thought maybe it's new, so it's in the break in period. it happened again today, it wouldn't charge. i had to pull the battery and put it back in in order to get get it to charge. is this a hardware problem? i would like to exchange it since i am still under the initial 30 days period. please advise, and thank you.

it sound like a hardware problem, which shouldn't be occuring.

  • Upgrade android to tablet A3000-H??

    Hello
i need to know if there any upgrade android to tablet A3000-H
    to Kitkat or Android 5
or it will never be any upgrade to this tablet
    thanks

    Hi.
I have exactly the same problem & coincedently, I also have a black tablet & a white one, the white tablet having the same problems as yours. I can only presume there's a batch of them in white..?
I rang Lenovo customer support yesterday & they were very helpful. The 1st person I spoke to took some notes about the problem & we decided to see what would happen once the 0.98gb becomes full with Apps etc so he gave me a customer reference number & I went away & loaded apps. As I got towards the 0.98gb limit, I started getting error message 919 but the apps did load on a second try until the last app when it said 'couldn't install on USB storage or SD card'. I hadn't put an SD card in it so it wouldn't be able to install it there anyway.
I rang them back, quoted the reference number & explained what had happened. The 2nd guy was also very helpful & suggested hooking it up to my pc to see what the drive was showing up as. He also made notes & was going to refer it to his supervisor.
When plugged the tablet into my Windows pc it shows up as 1 disk of aorund 12.4gb so I presume that is only the large partition of the storage..?
Rang them back a 3rd time & they're now sending me a label to return it under warranty.
It'll probably take a week or 2 before I get it back but will update once I have news.

  • Make clear FM app on Lenovo Tablet

    Hello,
I am looking for a tablet which has the analog FM (not the one over WiFi).

In the end, is Fm radio supported by lenovo tablet ?
Is it market dependant (e.g. only available in south america countries ) ?
Can someone shimmer a light ?
    Thanks,

Install A3000 FM tuner on S6000 - I found a link to the A3000 FM tuner software which was easily installed onto the S6000.
I can't remember where I saw the reference - maybe on this site but google for A3000 FM tuner apk or software and you should find the article and link to the software.
It works great and is the best FM tuner I have used, ever! Very sensitive, easy to tune with lots of preset slots for quick tuning.
Please remember though that you must have the earphones or a link cable plugged into the S6000 earphone socket to work as an aerial. If I recall correctly, you can switch playback between earphones and the onboard loudspeakers or use the bluetooth function to transmit to offboard loudspeakers.

    Hi Hasheb,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I’m sorry to hear that the inbuilt memory of the Tablet is displayed low, below is the link where it explains the reason for the same and I suggest you to update software in the tablet by connecting it to a Wireless network and then go to Settings > About phone > System update > Online update.
Why is my device internal storage less than advertised?
Do post us back for further queries.

    Hi everybody!
My BB playbook doesn't charge and turn on.
When I tried to charge it,  at first ,the red color appears for 10 seconds and after the green color starts blinking several times. And that's all. Every time when I am charging it the same thing is repeating. What should I do in this case???
If someone knows how to solve this issue please HELP!

    Hey LM344,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
If you're receiving the flashing green LED light, it sounds like the BlackBerry PlayBook battery is completely drained.  I suggest plugged the BlackBerry PlayBook into the wall charger for several hours to get a charge again.
Let me know if the issue still persists after charging it after several hours.
    Cheers.

  • Ipod Touch doesn't charge while on, but charges while off?!

    Hi,
I have an Ipod Touch 3rd Gen that I got shortly before xmas last year.
The problem is that since the weekend it doesn't charge. I'm using a charger and my wife's ipod charges fine with it, so that rules out the charger.
My problem is rather peculiar, the Ipod doesn't charge when it is on. But when the battery is low and it powers down, then it starts to charge. The moment it has enough charge the Ipod powers up again (when the black screen with the nearly empty red battery and the thunder sign disappears and you can now slide and use the ipod) at this time the ipod STOPS charging.
I have tried up to restarting and no luck. I'm unconfortable going to for SW upgrade if the device is on such a critical power level. Any suggestions?
It is running OS 3 (can't tell exactly which version, I did update the last time around xmas).

An update on this: Tried plugging to the PC and it behaves the same way, what's worse is that it wasn't recognised. The PC detects an USB device but it can't work out its an Ipod.
Tried with the wifes (same model and SW) and it works fine with the PC. My guess is a faulty USB interface.

Do you have a wall charger? If so, then try connecting your iPod to that, and does it charge, or not?
