4) Какие док станции к нему подходят ? Только ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock ?
5) Где можно посмотреть подробную спецификацию разъёмов и т.п. материнской платы (про frusonfone.com знаю) ?

Никакой другой официальной информации, кроме как по ссылке в предыдущем сообщении, на ноут с указанным Вами MTM я не знаю. Есть в названии S5 или нет - значения не имеет, только в заблуждение вводит. MTM - исчерпывающие данные о модели.

Представленное Вами описание - с сайта одного из магазинов, неполное. Ни о чем не говорит, кроме MTM.
Итак, файлы HMM, fru_bom (перечень совместимых запчастей, по ссылке в предыдущем сообщении), сайт lenovoquick, psref отвечают на все Ваши вопросы. Остается #5, но тут уже зависит от степени подробности ожидаемого ответа.

Lenovo Thinkpad S1 Yoga shutting down automatically near magnetic fields

Hi,
We have a problem with several units of Thinkpad S1 machines 20CD-0038SP, they need to be used near strong magnetic fields, and it seems that they are affecting one or more sensors so the machines are shutting down immediately. Changing the power options in Windows so the computer doesn't shut down when closing the lid hasn't helped, it's still happening.
Currently we don't have any of these machines here, they are located at our customer's site, so I don't know if something can be tweaked in the bios or can be done to stop this behavior, because otherwise the machines won't bue usable in such environment.

UPDATE:
Except for handling speed, all did not go well with the first warranty repair. Despite my having explained the problem multiple times as a defective hardware display panel (LCD), whoever got the laptop decided the issue was a "Docking/Port Replicator Failure" and replaced the system board! The unit was returned to me promptly; however, within 10-15 minutes of being turned on, the original problem manifested itself - no change!
The original ticket was closed and could not be reopened, so I had to report a 2nd case and am now in the process of sending the unit back for warranty repair again - this time with a pictorial!

Genuine Lenovo Battery Not Attached, Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga

I am having a message that says "Genuine Lenovo Battery Not Attached" message that appears after Windows 8.1 starts up. A similar sort of message appears before even Windows boots up, and I need to press the 'Esc' key in order for Windows to boot. This seems to have happened after a recent Windows update. I have uninstalled an reinstalled the Lenovo Power Management Driver but it does not appear to have fixed the issue. My BIOS is the latest version.
This issue is on my Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga S1.
Any assistance is appreciated.

Reset simply does a circuit discharge, it doesn't wipe anything off your hdd.

Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga OS Upgrading

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga laptop, Model no is 20CDA016HH. In this windows 8 Home edition is already installed. My doubt is that, can I upgrade the windows 8 Home Edition to Windows 8.1 Pro Edition. What should I do for that.

There should be an installer somewhere on your computer - look for a file called "iTunesSetup.exe" (32-bit) or "iTunes6464Setup.exe" (64-bit) - you'll almost certainly have got the second of these on a Windows 8 machine. Then double-click on this file to install iTunes. If you can't find the files, the direct links are here:
iTunes 12.1.1.4 (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe
iTunes 12.1.1.4 (64-bit) - itunes6464setup.exe
iTunes 12.1.1.4 (64-bit "for older video cards") - iTunes64Setup.exe
The last of these is an alternative installer for 64-bit systems you find that using the "standard" 64-bit version causes playback issues or problems with QuickTime or Outlook integration.

I have XP installed
I have updated my bios also.
It is also not shown in Disk Management.
My hard disk is being detected on other desktops and laptops.
My hard disk has only got a usb connector and no external power cord is provided with it.
Transcend Storejet 25 mobile 250GB is my hard disk
Please help me sort out this problem

Lenovo ThinPad S1 Yoga want to make it faster.

Hello everyone, I just came into the Lenovo community the other day when i bought my LEnovo Thnkpad s1 yoga. i got the i5 version with up to 2.90 mhz. i know this is not a gaming computer but i would like to do some games on it, i was wondering if you guys could help me with the setting i could change or anything at all to make it better, so that downloaded games dont lag so much. An example of a game that i am trying to play is Spin Tires. hopefully you all can help i reall yappreciate it!

If you want to enhance your gaming experience by using the touchscreen you might also like GestureWorks. For example, by using this you can play Call of Duty or Counter-Strike Source by only using the touchscreen.
I am about to get it on Monday or Tuesday. Maybe it's something for you.

New to forum and opinions on the Lenovo T420 being my first Lenovo Thinkpad?

First off thanks for letting me join. Just wanted to get some opinions from some of the more experienced Lenovo owners and users. I want to pick up the T420 as my first Lenovo Thinkpad. What is the overall verdict on this laptop (Good build quality, reliability issues, or anything else I should be aware of)? I use to own a IBM Thinkpad and just missed the overall layout of the Thinkpad specific look and functionality. To date, the IBM Thinkpad has been my favorite Windows based laptop. Any and all opinions would be deeply appreciated.

I've only had my T420 for a couple of weeks but so far I really like it. I reminds me of a mini version of the W520. My T420 has the i7 processor, NVIDIA Optimus and most of the options. I upgraded the RAM to 16GB and currently have the Intel Series 510 120GB SSD in the primary bay. I am waiting for a Samsung Series 830 SSD to arrive.
No complaints so far. It runs nice, quiet and cool.
If I were going to improve anthing on the machine, it would be the screen. The 1600x900 AUO screen on mine is fair but I can live with it. I bought this machine new on eBay for an excellent price.
I am using the 6 cell battery right now and get a little over four hours of battery life. The 9 cell is quite a bit better but I like the flush lighter 6 cell.
Love the keyboard. The trackpad is fair but I haven't tweaked the Ultranav settings yet. Been using a mouse mose of the time.
I have several ThinkPads and I think the T420 is an excellent balance of power and features. I am comparing it to my X301, T410s, T61p and W510. I added a 34mm USB 3.0 ExpressCard (still testing).
After my experience with the W520 random shutdowns, I won't be totally comfortable with this machine for a couple of months but it's looking really good so far. I am optimistic.

Not thru HDMI, but it will thru the mini-display port. You simply need a mini-display port to full size display port cable, something like this.

About Lenovo Thinkpad W540 for Music Production at a Professional Level

Hey there! I just signed up to this blog in search for an answer to my quest. I've heard a lot of good things about Lenovo ThinkPad W540, and I would like to make sure that I am getting what I really need to stay up to date, in this everyday changing technological world, for a while before making a purchase.
So far, this is what I got in my wish list:

I would like to know what are the major differences between the above items, which I have in my wish list, and the ones below:
1) Intel Core i7-4930MX Processor (8MB Cache, up to 3.90GHz)
2)15.5” 3K (2880 x 1620), IPS LED Backlit Anti-Glare Display, Mobile Broadband Ready, Color Sensor

Hi ColonellONeill, thank you for taking your time in attempt to solve my problems.
Temperatures varies, but it never reached to unbearably hot.
Shutdown warning: for the last couple of times, I did got the blue screen warning (that windows had problem and will restart after collecting the necessary information) on my Helix and hanged display on my external monitor. Otherwise, most of the time, there isn't warning at all.
I doubt if there is anything to do automatic windows update as I have scheduled it every morning at 3 'O' clock! Sometimes it works from weeks to couple of months without even noticing any of these technical problems but then when it starts, it stays for weeks; it just comes and goes - never been able to resolve the issues completely; even the technician.
(It just happend right now! and this time wihtout even warning, and Helix wasn't even running 30 minutes - temperature is normal, I can feel it's little warm.)
Currently I am using my Helix with Thinkpad USB 3 dock connected to external Monitor with wired keyboard and mouse connected back at the dock.

I get an error message when trying to connect my iphone to a lenovo thinkpad

I cannot get my Iphone to work on the Lenovo Thinkpad edge 520, when I connect the phone it brings up an error saying there was a problem loading the device. In the control panel I get a yellow exclamatin mark next to the mobile usb device. I tried to update the OS of the phone and the driver on the laptop, and uninstalled the viris program.

The iPhone will NOT pair with any computer via bluetooth with the expetion being for tethering an internet connection. This has NEVER been a feature of the iPhone or any iOS device.

Lenovo Thinkpad 8 Wifi driver for Windows 10?

I've installed Windows 10 Technical Preview on my Lenovo Thinkpad 8. It's been working pretty nicely, except for one thing: the Broadcom Wifi card driver (Broadcom BCM4324 Wireless LAN Driver). Since this doesn't work I have to use a USB antenna.
This driver has gotten no update since the release of the Thinkpad 8! I tried running it in "Windows 8 compatibiliy mode" and that still doen't work. Does anŷone know of a possible way to make it work (either with an update, or an older driver in compatibility mode)? Any idea or suggestion (or word from Broadcom) is welcome!

I had the same problem and installed the Win 8.1 version of the driver.
First deinstall the microsoft driver, download the driver from http://support.lenovo.com/<xx>/<xx>/products/tablets/thinkpad-tablet-series/thinkpad-8/?tabName=Down...
replace <xx> by your language code. eg. en (my language code was de)
look for Broadcom BCM4324 Wireless LAN Driver for Windows 8.1 (32-bit) - ThinkPad 8 or (64-bit in case)
Start the installer and you're done.
