Hello, i have just bought the Vibe Z2 (5,5 inch-not the pro).I am very happy with it.it is a great device with great possibilities, BUT i would like to suggest the following
1.you should not release again two devices with almost the same name.it is very confusing for the market.also the superior model always shadows the inferior in every aspect(i.e. reviews,accesories etc)
2.it would be great to offer the option to use pure android instead of lenovo UI.as someone mentioned in this forum, it really doubles the value of the device and in my opinion the prestige of the company(and the possible buyers).although i find Vibe UI awsome.
3.The camera.it is a great camera but i think your software engineers could make it even better. The sensors is there, the lense is there, why not to work to make it even better through an update and make it compete flagship stadars.the photo processing needs to be more mature.More specifically i reallly feel that you need to work in the noise reduction.the photos suffer from this.also the colour saturation in auto mode needs some tweaking and finally the shutter sound!there is no option to mute it!
it would be also great to offer the Z2, the camera tools and software that Z2 Pro uses.
4.please release some accessories for the Vibe Z2(an official functional case for example)

Vibe Z2 (not the Pro) in-call volume

Hi there,
Vibe Z2 (no Pro) would be my ultimate phone, except for one big disadvantage for me and that's an "in-call" volume (loudnes). Simply it's too low. Not just the speaker itself but the whole in-call volume (same when switch to loudspeaker). What's even worst - I can't use it in car with built in Parrot simply because I can barely hear the other side. All other phone was great with this, Nokias, Sams, HTC was even too loud...
Please is there any known solution? On other phones with mtk chips I would use mtk tools, but Z2 is a Snapdragon of course .

The Call Quality on the Vibe Z2 (not Pro) that I tested was so bad that I returned the unit to the seller, who then returned it back to lenovo. Since my first phone in 1998 until now, I never had a unit that would have such a bad call quality as this Vibe Z2. I thought it is only the unit that I have, but it could be that it is more (all) units.
While I was in a shopping mall and someone called me, I could not hear them properly as the sound was too low. On high volume the speakers make a little noise as being overburdened. When making a call in Skype, on the contrary, the other party could not hear me as the microphone did not seem to work with Skype properly.
I did not have any issue with loudspeakers, they seem to be loud as it gets, but there seemed to be an echo. With headphones the call quality was fantastic, so I believe it could be the hardware's fault. So if it does not get fixed you can return the unit to the seller or lenovo and wait for the Vibe Z3.
This is the ultimate phone, as you rightly said, and I wish someone from China could send me a unit with a good call quality on Vibe Z2 (and all the other small bugs fixed). I would even go to China to show the developers this faults so it can get fixed so I could have it as my primary phone.

It sounds as if when you connect your iPad to your computer it does not show up in iTunes, is that correct?

Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

Lenovo Vibe Z2 (NOT PRO) Lollipop bugs

Hi, would you be so kind and provide the previous (KitKat) ROM for Vibe Z2 (not Pro) too?
I also have some bugs after upgrading my Z2 (but less than experienced in case of K920). Maybe I'll wait for a while for the next OTA update but if I decide to downgrade I'd like to have the proper ROW firmware for SDFUSE method.

Now I am using an app named 'LBE Security Master' It is a Chinese app, but someone made an English version of it (can be obtained from XDA-developers.com forum).
It was just a suggestion .You can install and use whatever you want.The choice is yours.

The brand new Lenovo K3 Note phone has Lollipop right from factory and among the pre-installed Lenovo apps there is Safe Center too! (See screenshot attached.)
The K3 Note isn't a ROW(rest of the World/Lenovo Android devices sold outside China) model.It's a China only model meant to be used only in China.Unofficial sellers tweak this kind of models,like the K3 Note and add GMS,multilingual support(CN devices are generally only in CN and EN)and remove unusable(for non CN speaking users) Chinese apps....other small modifications are also made.The downside of this is that you can't really OTA update or if you do.....Example of CN only model after OTA update->Message 1

Android is ''split'' into two distinct parts: AOSP (Android Open Source Project) that allows manufacturers to freely use Android on their devices, and the closed GMS(Google Mobile Services), which gives access to Google Play services and Google branded apps like Maps,Gmail,etc for manufacturers that agree to various guidelines.
As far as I know the ''elimination'' of the Security app was a Google requirement.
Please Lenovo, address this issue immediately!

You cannot install a trial version of Acrobat Std. as it's not available.

You can use the trial version of Pro for 30 days and compare the features you require and those you can afford to miss in the Std. version

Go to appleid.apple.com and create it there. Type the country name in the space and a dropdown should appear. Nigeria is clearly available there.

Two Identical Devices. Flash Works on One, Not The Other. Suggestions?

I have two Windows 8.1 with Bing tablets in my household. They're both running IE11 version 11.00.9600.
They are both just two weeks old!
Unfortunately, one of them was infected with adware and browser help objects but as far as I am aware is now clean. Both Windows Malicious Software Removal tool and Spybot have run full scans and find nothing. I'm no longer seeing pop-ups or any adverts in the browser.
Just to be sure, after running the scans, I also reset IE to its default settings through Internet Options --> Advanced --> Reset.
The Flash player version is 16.0.0.235.
When I "Manage AddOns", shockwave is installed and enabled.
In "Safety", ActiveX filtering is OFF.
As far as I can see, all other settings on both devices are identical.
However, on the previously infected device, no matter what, when I try to play a flash video I am informed that Flash player needs to be installed. Adobe's help for Flash tells me that the player is Disabled. All the settings\options I can see are telling me it is both installed AND enabled. The second device streams from the same website (BBC iPlayer) perfectly.
I'm assuming that there must be a registry setting somewhere that is not being reset no matter how many times I change the settings in IE and/or restart the device. I would love if someone could offer some advice that could fix this anomalous behaviour as it is now officially driving me mad!
Looking forward to some expert hand holding on this...

Basically, just run a terminal command to force the recreation of "com.apple.xpchelper.cache":
sudo /usr/libexec/xpchelper --rebuild-cache

Kind of. There are 4 normal resolutions 480, 576, 720 and 1080. Both 720 and 1080 are considered HD.

I noticed, that Lenovo Vibe Z2 is already available in EMEA as of this week and cost rougly 299 euro. I am not sure if this is the final price or the price can still go down.
Does anyone know what is the model name of Vibe Z2? LIke k920 is the Pro version so what is this phone called?
Finally, do you know if the 2GB of RAM is sufficient for running the VIBE UI smoothly?
Is the Vibe UI exactly the same as for this phone as for the Pro version and do you think it will get updated to Andorid L?

I got my hands on Lenovo Vibe Z2 (not the PRO) yesterday, so I thought I give some update here on the model. It was releised last week in Slovakia and probably whole EMEA.
It as a 5.5 inch and it feels quite well in hand, in fact it feels like a normal phone and not a phablet. Desptie 5.5 inch it feels like 5 inch in hand, it is very conftable in fact and lighter than the PRO version.
Although it is still metalic, it is a bit differently desgined than the PRO version. One could argue it looks even nicer. The main downside, is that the metalic buttons seemed shaky making little noises when touched slightly.
The VIBE UI on a Vibe Z2 is similar but not exactly the same as the PRO version. For example, the camera has no professional mode. There might be a few other difference too.
Questions:
Does anyone know if there is still the option to use stock android in Vibe Z2?
I also wonder if there is the Secure Zone or that is also gone for Vibe Z2?
(Sorry, I did not get to test these two).

Dear All, Hope all is fine with you. Friends, I have bought this model (Lenovo Vibe X2) in the month of January 2015 from online purchase in India. THe phone is really nice, except the few things i.e. Picture/Camera Quality specially in low light, the photo quality is too poor, if there is network issue, phone gets heat a lot but overall, I am completely satisfied with the product. Recently, I have came across one issue, that from April onwards, my phone if connected to Laptop/Desktop using USB cable, it charge's but shows the message as "USB Device not recognized". I tried lot of things, even factory resetting but nothing helped me. Download the drivers as well, but no use. Tried with multiple computers but same message. Can anyone tell me how can I fix this issue? Since I have lot of data & need to sync my contact & backup the phone regularly, I face lods of issues doing above activities. Hi, I am using Lenovo Vibe X2 for the past 6 months. Suddenly my main camera is not connecting and throw up a message "Camera error - Cannot connect to Camera".
I tired various options like restart the phone, clear the cache in the app and factory reset. Nothing Works. Can any one help me to fix this problem. The front camera connects and main camera is showing error.

Lack of EZ Photo Print PRO on the PRO-100 ONLY

I've been using Canon printers for fifteen years, I think, so this is not so overly picky newbie observation. For the last five years, iP4300 and 4500's, and a 9000 MK II. All come with the Easy Photo Print EX, as does the PRO-100 printer. Way too "EZ" for me, I can just use the built in printer dialogue boxes, thank you very much.
Not so long ago I discovered the Easy Photo Print PRO, which requires either an Adobe product, or Canon's Digital Photo Professional.   Not having a Canon digital camera, I did find a source to download the original DPP 1.0, then upgraded straight off of an EOS Canon page.
Very nice! All of the dialogue boxes into one, or almost one screen. And what is really worth the price of admission, the "Pattern Print."   What we old wet darkroom types called a "ring around." Wow! Fine tune your color profile w/o expensive profiling equipment.
So yesterday I got a new PRO-100 which added the Print Studio Pro to the DPP. Of course I check it out. HORRIBLE!   First, I just HATE this trend of gray text on black backgrounds. Who thought this *&*^$% up? Form did not follow function. Then, all the choices, which seem to be pretty much the same as the EZPP PRO, are packed into a long slider box on the right. Said sliders are very narrow, very hard to grab and move.
OK, I'll just no use this and continue with the EZPP PRO, right? Wrong! The latter recognizes both the iP4500 and the 9000, but not the PRO-100, while the new PSP sees all three printers. Upon looking at all the current PRO printers, ONLY the PRo-100 does not list the EZPP PRO as compatible!
What's up with that, Canon? This is illogical and really frustrating, especially for a long time Canon fan leading the charge against the Epson lemmings.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the various print programs, nothing changes.
So at this point, with my PRO-100 I'm forced to either wade through dialogue boxes or find my anger rising with PSP.   The bit of good news is that one can get a "Pattern Print" from Manual Color adjustment, "Print a pattern for color adjustment."
Rant done. Awaiting immediate resolution from Canon. Yeah, right.

Well, I didn't get into the Adobe, pro/con, did I? I'm such a gentleman. The only way I could hurt myself is to pay a lot of money (which I don't have to spare) for programs that just aren't intuitive to me, to look at those damnable gray print on black backgrounds eyeball breakers, and have the use and control of programs so locked down I can't make a transfer to another machine without a call to Adobe.
I'm a hobbyist, not in the graphics business, so I have lots of options. Nor do I do things because "everyone" does it, or it was the first program out there (Photoshop.)
For quick looks at files and simple things, Irfanview. For complete digital asset management, digiKam. Open source, designed by Linux users, is ported to Windows, with maybe 95% good results. If I ever started working with layers and photoshop type manipulations, there's always The Gimp.
For a po' boy like me, these are all I need and all are free.
