Lenovo Yoga 10 Bluetooth Keyboard Cover
I saw the preview of the new version of Lenovo Yoga 10 Bluetooth Keyboard Cover that has regular USB charging port instead of the proprietary one. Does anyone know when it is going to be available? It seems like the lenovo.com still ships the old model.

Yoga 10 Bluetooth Keyboard disconnects
I just received my bluetooth keyboard for the Yoga 10. The keyboard touch is very nice and the function keys will be useful. My complaint is that every time the Yoga 10 goes to sleep I have to manually reconnect the keyboard using the bluetooth settings? Is this normal?
Solved!
Go to Solution.I called Support and they did not know the answer. So I figured it out myself. In the Bluetooth setting screen you will see 3 dots ... next to SEARCH FOR DEVICES. Touch those dots and choose Visibility Timeout and then set it to
Never time out.

Lenovo Yoga 3 14" Keyboard and Mouse, Blurry Screen and GT 940m
Hey Guys So today my girlfriend bought a Lenovo Yoga 3 14" with the Geforce 940m graphics card.Straight away we notice some of the images and fonts from different applications seemed a bit to blurry for a modern computer so we decided to check through the forums and some of them said to adjust the text from its default (Larger). Then we tried minecraft and it then we notice you can not move in the game while looking. So this means that you move than use the mouse which is very annoying. Another thing we notice in the game was the computer was not using the 940m graphics card it was still using the Intel 5500 HD graphics. So my question is1. How do we stop the screen from being blurry?2. How can we move and use the trackpad?3. How do I make the Geforce GT 940m the main graphics card? Thanks in advance!

LENOVO 888015720 Yoga Tablet Case - Bluetooth Keyboard Cover for Blade10
Is this going to be the only way to put stuff on my tablet via the keyboard?
with only one micro connector, do I use this for playing an external speaker? After you plug the USB cable in to both the PC and tablet, pull down the tablet notifications. Look for the notification with the USB symbol beside it and select it, then choose 'Media device (MTP)'. After that the tablet will show up in Windows Explorer like any other external drive. If you have an SD card in the tablet it will show up separately.
To adjust the screen timeout go to Settings > Display > Sleep > select the one you want to use.
There is a speaker jack on the right side of the tablet, directly opposit the power button.

Bluetooth keyboard lag - Yoga 2
I bought a Yoga Tablet 2 10 w/keyboard 3 weeks ago. The bluetooth keyboard works fine but every once in a while what I type would not appear on the screen. It happens randomly and lasts for 10-15 seconds. If I had kept typing when the words weren't showing, after 10-15 seconds all the words would suddenly appear, but would appear jumbled. I asked somewhere else and the person asked me to try to turn off BT sleep mode under Device Management. But I can't find it, I only found Device Manager and I can't find the place to turn that setting off. I think it might not be the issue anyway because the keyboard shouldn't be sleeping; the lag happens as I type. Please let me know what I should do, or if this is an issue with the keyboard and I'll need to return it for another one. Thanks.
Please post back if you solve this. I would like to buy a Yoga 2 Pro, but for some reason, Lenovo will not ship a non-bilingual keyboard to Canada.

[REQUEST] rtl8723au_bt bluetooth driver for lenovo yoga 13
Hello.
I have a lenovo yoga 13 laptop with 8723 wireless card.
Wifi is working bacause of dkms-8723au-git package. As I know, in 3.15 kernel it will work out of the box and lwfinger will no longer maintain this source code.
Bluetooth is not working and there is no bluetooth driver in aur. It is required to install another package from here https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8723au_bt.
I cannot build this package, because when I run make command it ends with error make[1]: *** /lib/modules/3.14.4-1-ARCH/build: No such file or directory. Also there was written about no dkms support in code. But I cannot fix it, because I am still noob in Archlinux. And for some reason it is written "Support kernel version 2.6.32~3.13.0" in readme.txt. I have already 3.14.4-1-ARCH kernel.
Could anyone help me to fix that and make aur package for other people to get bluetooth work on lenovo yoga 13?I think bluez5 is ok, because when I run bluetoothctl it can detect my cluetooth controller now. However, I cannot start working with it

I lost my Bluetooth keyboard battery cover.
I lost my Bluetooth keyboard battery cover on my way to work yesterday.
Can I buy the cover???The same thing happened to us in the office. My boss took one of the cabinet locks (from Knoll office furniture) which happens to be 1/4 inch, cut it between the 3rd or 4th rib of the lock with a hacksaw and vice grip, placed the batteries in and used duct tape to hold everything in place. The duct tape works better than the electrical tape because electrical tape tends to stretch. Good Luck, apple doesn't sell this piece as a replacement so get creative!

Bluetooth Keyboard - Power Button 'Cover'???
I picked up the bluetooth keyboard for my iPad and am very pleased at how well it works... My only issue is the power forces the on-screen keyboard off-screen...
When I put it into my bag I find at times the power button is pressed and it turns the keyboard back on... I'm looking for some type of a power switch cover... Anybody have any ideas??? I'm hoping to find something a little better than a taped piece of cardboard...I just came up with a solution to this problem that is cheap, and in my case free. I went to the office supply cabinet and fished out the big kind of clip. (http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/963439/OIC-Large-Binder-Clips-2-Wide/?cm_c at=2000000351) The black kind with the wings/handles that flip down. Turned the keyboard off first, since the clip will depress two keys, and clipped the clip around the round part of the keyboard affording a little over hang so nothing can easily depress the power button.

Keyboard question on Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro
Hey people,
Just picked up a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro. Awesome piece of machinery. Silly question tho about the keyboard. A lot of the keys seem to have 4/5 different things on it. For instance I have a 2 @ @ " all on the same key. How do i access them. I've tried ctrl, shift, alt etc but doesn't seem to work and there's nothing in the guide either.
Silly question i know but this is the first time i've seen this.
Thanks you
Solved!
Go to Solution.I don't see this on my Y2P, either.
Could you snap a picture of your keyboard and link it for us to take a look?
Thanks.

Lenovo Yoga 11s SSD and RAM Upgrade - Great Results
Picked up a Lenovo Yoga 11s from Best Buy. I chose Best Buy for price, color, and processor. They had a slightly better deal than Lenovo.com. The clementine color looks great. Quality is great. I'm very happy with the purchase. It has the i5 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD.
I upgraded the SSD and RAM and found the upgrade relatively easy. Here is a basic step by step and results. (note the parts I chose increased the cost by close to $400. I chose these parts based on quality, performance, and power usage. There are cheaper alternatives, but I wanted an upgrade and money was not my concern.)
Upgraded Parts
RAM - Patriot Memory 8GB PC3-12800 1600MHZ CL11 1.35V - Purchased at Newegg, but could have saved a couple dollars on Amazon.
I chose this part based on previous experience with Patriot and the low voltage RAM. A lot of the RAM is higher voltage and I wanted to make sure I reduced heat and power usage. When you look for 1.35V RAM, there are not a lot of options...
MSata SSD Drive - Intel SSD 525 Series 240GB Drive
Intel SSD Page
I purchased through Newegg
I chose the Intel drive based on previous experience with Intel. They cost more, but I've found their performance to be good and reliability good. There is also a good review on this drive on Tomshardware Tomshardware Intel 525 Review. Toms review shows top performing drive and low power. I also looked at many other manufacturers and Intel had the lower power consumption. This means less heat and longer battery life.
Cloning Software
Intel provides a free cloning software from Acronis
My Digital SSD MSata external case
I purchased through Newegg.
Nice quality device. I used this to help in cloning the OEM SSD to the new Intel drive.
T5 Torx Screw Driver
I purchased this from Home Depot T5 Torx Home Depot
I read all the reviews, posts and issues around cloning the Win8 SSD drives. Many people have/had issues. I was prepared for problems. Another reason I chose Intel, as they have migration software that I felt would be top notch.
You need to have the Hardware Manual handy. I read how to remove keyboard and top cover. This is required to upgrade RAM and SSD. It was very easy. Take your time. Note, this is very different than the Yoga 13 youtube video for part removal. I think it's easier. Here is the link to download manual Yoga 11s Hardware Manual.
How to clone your SSD
I expect if you're doing this project you can learn how to use the Intel software for cloning. Read the web, watch their youtube video. Read the manual...
Remove your factory SSD and insert new Intel SSD (note, you must insert Intel drive in notebook for cloning. Do not try and clone on the USB external drive. Intel software will not detect drive properly). Create a bootable version of the Intel software on a USB drive. Install your factory OEM SSD in the external MSata SSD drive. Go to BIOS and set boot to support legacy, no fast boot, boot to USB.
Boot to the Intel Acronis app on the USB drive. Then connect your OEM SSD via second USB port.
Then follow the wizard on Intel's software. Cloning process took less than 5 minutes.
Unplug your USB devices, go to BIOS and set all all your boot settings back to factory UEFI, fast boot etc.
The PC booted to windows second try. The first time it said it has issues and went through a process to repair. It then said it failed. I rebooted again and it went straight to windows. Did all my windows updates and everything is fine.
Performance
Windows Performance Improvement
Memory - Factory score was 5.9 - Patriot Memory is 8.2 *** Nice Improvement
Hard Drive - Factory score was 6.2 - Intel 525 Drive is 8.2 *** Nice Improvement
This pc is crazy fast booting and shutting down. It boots in 7 seconds. Not sure it's really faster than OEM, but I've never seen a pc boot this fast.
Over all performance is fast. I installed Office 2010 pro from a USB drive in under 5 minutes. Web browsing is crazy fast. I'm super impressed with the speed of this pc. Much faster than I expected.
Size, Shape, Weight, color is great. Performance is great. Happy with upgrades and quality of parts. May be my best notebook purchase to date. I don't have any battery life numbers to report yet. Everything is new and I haven't really spent much time off the charger.
Issues I've experienced during this upgrade of parts
I first tried to clone the SSD drive by putting the Intel drive in the USB enclosure first. The intel software would not work as the PC detects the external SSD drive as a SCSI drive and Intel cloning software could not identify the drive as an Intel Sata drive. I called Intel and they had no advice or help. I also tried a few other cloning softwares that ultimately did not work. As a last resort I switched the drives and everything worked great. Lesson learned, swap the drives first and use Intel software to clone.
Factory restore - doesn't work. Not sure why the factory restore is not working on my new Intel drive. Windows works great! All the partitions are there. I suspect I messed up the OEM restore portion of the drive. At one point I thought I had booted to the Intel drive, and tried the restore (I had about 7 failed cloning tries before the final one worked as I outlined above). It went through the restore process and then failed. However, what I later found was that I had actually booted to the OEM drive in the external USB case and I may have corrupted the restore functionality.
I contacted Lenovo Support and explained I could not restore using the 1 key restore. They walked me through some basic troubleshooting and then opted to mail me factory restore disk. I have the disk and will keep them available for when/if I ever need to restore.
Solved!
Go to Solution.I upgraded from the Yoga 13 to the 11S and am happy to report that the machines are so identical that apparently you can just yank the SSD from one and drop it in the other. I had upgraded my 13" to 240gB SSD + 8gB RAM and simply plopped the two components into the 11S and after about 30 seconds of Windows alerting me that it was 'setting up devices' the machine booted normally and has been working perfectly since!

Lenovo Yoga Windows 8.1 Update Solution Thread
Before you attempt anything, I would suggest you read it first . This is probably not a conclusive guide for everyone's situation.
I updated to Windows 8.1 about a couple of hours ago and it's screwed up everything. I noticed users on this forum having a load of problems too so here's my 'roughish' guide on resololving all the issues that affected me (Lenovo Yoga 13 (2191))
Lenovo have release some official upgrade literature (incl rough solutions)
http://download.lenovo.com/lenovo/content/windows8-1/upgrade/ideapad/index_en.html
You are going to need to download new drivers and reinstall a few apps.
Windows 8 Drivers (Back them up - Do not delete them)
This is what I've done. All of your drivers will be stored in c:\Drivers if you haven't got a custom installation. I would move everything in there into a new folder (C:\Drivers\Windows 8) so you have a historical backup because the Windows 8.1 may not upgrade them all.
Windows 8.1 Drivers
Go here;
http://support.lenovo.com/en_GB/
Click Drivers & Software and search Yoga. This link should take you directly there but they never seem to post right on forums so...
http://support.lenovo.com/en_GB/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS032590
Change the filter to show Windows 8.1 as the OS. Download everything it displays and save it in a new folder (C:\Drivers\Windows 8.1).
Now you have all the new drivers ready to install. Go into your C:\Drivers\Windows 8.1 folder and install each thing in the list on by one. If they request a reboot I would suggest you do that before progressing onto another driver. Do this until everything is installed.
At the time of writing the drivers include;
Bluetooth/Wlan, Camera, Card Reader, Chipset (Important), Management engine, Alscontrol, Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework & Graphics.
WARNING:
Updating Wifi drivers it may reset your settings (lose network passwords etc) so you may need to get your wifi pass to hand or skip this driver if you have no problems.
Graphics
My graphics went blurry. This was due to the HD graphics driver. This is in this pack. This fixed it for me, but in case it doesn't totally fix your problem, there is a suggestion to change a setting if problems persist of your graphics (Thanks Ezekial)
1. Right-click on Desktop and select "Screen resolution" option.
2. Now click on "Make text and other items larger or smaller" link.
3. It'll open "Display" settings page. You can also directly open "Display" window by selecting "Personalize" option from Desktop context menu and then click on "Display" link given at the bottom of left-sidebar.
4. Now enable "Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays" option and apply the changes.
5. Restart your system and your problem will be fixed.
Trackpad
If you have a problem where you lose your trackpad like I did, you can uninstall in that device manager but I would suggest you are careful in there. You can then click actions, and scan for hardware changes.
Get to Device manager this way;
Right click My Computer/This Computer and click manage. Down the left side look for Device Manager.
When updating the drivers (anything with an exclamation mark) you should right click and update drivers. Search in your new folder. If you installed all the above drivers you may have nothing here.
Airplane Mode Hotkey/Function
To fix the problem with the AirPlane mode not working you will need to go back to the above downloads page and change the filter to Windows 8 and look in Power Management. You will need that. I had to run it with Windows 8 compatibility and Run as administrator.
Lenovo Transition/Auto-Rotate/Keyboard Disabler
Download this;
http://driverdl.lenovo.com.cn/lenovo/DriverFilesUploadFloder/36071/Win8_lenovo_transition_x64.exe
(Thanks to the other th3is & mikey94025)
Uninstall Lenovo Tranisition.
Reboot.
Reinstall the downloaded version. If it fails at the end, reboot. If it's still sketchy uninstall, reboot and install again but with Windows 8 compatibility. Hopefully you won't need to do that though.
Sound
This was broken. Drivers haven't been updated so in device manage update from your "C:\Drivers\(Windows 8)" folder
Bluetooth
I haven't tested my bluetooth yet, but if your's is broken the drivers are in your "C:\Drivers\(Windows 8.1)" folder if you downloaded the drivers linked above..
Others
Citrix Receiver (I wouldn't expect this to affect the majority of you)
My desktop version of this broke. Maybe my custom installation, but a reinstall with the same commands fixed this.
Windows Update
I would suggest you enable this and make sure you are up-to-date. Swipe in from the right and search for update. Find Windows Update.
I would also update other apps & drivers (link on that page to download an update to enable this.
I don't seem to have any other problems. The support page Is not all completely relevant IMO and it has some drastic views on what you should do to upgrade. Just take note that McAffe may have also broken, so be careful on the net as you may be unprotected.
You may want to run through Device manager on anything you are still having problems with. Also depending on the age of your yoga there may still be other things you could update, but unless you have a problem, I wouldn't really worry too much.
Windows 8.1 also no longer pins your apps to the start page by default. Now just swipe up from the bottom to find your apps if you want to pin them or just search for them (swipe in from the right)
Good luck!!! Sorry if I missed anything. Can you be more specific with the below, as I can't make sense of what you're referring to? I don't know what element size is at all, or where to change it. And, I don't know what you mean by unchecking a checkbox in the device manager as there are no checkboxes. More guidance and specifics would be appreciated.
* Change the element size back to recover from blurry text
* Go to device manager and uncheck that checkbox for the first of the USB devices in HID so that the touchscreen does always react on the first touch (this setting has been lost during the update process)
