Lenovo Yoga 13 Airplane Mode not working

Hi I recently did a fresh install of windows 8 on my yoga and I've installed all the drivers on Lenovo's website.  Most of the things are working except for the airplane mode button on the keyboard.  Does anyone know where I can find the driver for that? I no longer have the drivers that came with the laptop so if someone could upload it that would be great.  Thanks!

  • Lenovo b590 power management not working

Hello! I have a problem with my laptop, a lenovo b590. (pentium 2020m, 4gb ram, intel hd graphics): the Lenovo Power Management driver not working....
Is exactly the same as here, but, the only difference is that I use windows 8.1:
    https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-3000-and-Essential/Lenovo-B590-Lenovo-Power-Management-driver-no...
As no one could solve the problem there, I thought it may be more visible now and someone can help me
So, how can I solve this problem?
Edit: I tried everything that was said there, to no avail ...
    Sorry for my english..

i'm not sure if there's any suitable cooling pads for your computer but cleaning the fan could be another solution. it may work but it may also void your warranty.
due to it's probably hardware issue, at this point i don't think i have much suggestions for you.

  • Widgets on my desktop using dev-mode not working in Lion

I'm trying to get iStat back ontop of my desktop like I had in Snow Leopard. Dev-mode not working to bring widgets forward anymore. Any Ideas how to do this in lion? In Snow Leopard it was defaults write com.apple.sashboard devmode YES now that isn't working.

When I connect my MBP (mid 2010) to iMac 27" (mid 2010), via Mini DisplayPorts, after pressing Command+F2, iMac screen went "blank" while MBP screen stays "blue" for few seconds and went back to normal. How to solve this problem?

  • Blue screen on start up. Safe mode not working?

Blue screen on start up. Safe mode not working, any suggestions?

Thank you, I had forgotten about target mode. I was able to back up all of my files. I also copied some additional 50 GB of files of the disk as a stress test and the hard drive worked fine and quick (and because it was quicker than retrieving the same files from a network drive to my desktop).
I was hoping to also unpack the Applejack files on my desktop and put them back so I could run them in single user mode without running /etc/rc. However I haven't been able to get my Linux desktop to mount the iBook in Read-Write instead of Read-Only yet (I don't have access to another Mac at the moment).

  • Yoga 2 Pro rotation too sensitive & stand mode not working

In tablet mode the Yoga 2 Pro is too sensitive. It seems to rotate for the smallest thing. You have to hold it vertically in order to prevent it from rotating.
In stand mode, the image is always upside down. I cannot get it rotated, even after pressing the rotate lock button several times. It's fairly difficult to get the screen right.
I am a experienced Yoga 13 owner which works perfectly. I am worried about the sensitivity of the Yoga 2 Pro and the fact the image is always upside down in stand mode.
I am on a clean factory install, no modified drivers.

    A reinstall didn't work.
So presumably the sensor board is faulty.
Where can I buy the sensor board? (page 64)
    http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/lenovo_yoga_2_pro_hmm.pdf
Or maybe the sensor board is installed upside down if this is possible. Maybe it's flipped vertically. Because the sides are working just fine!

    Hi GaBI13,
You can switch on - off the wireless by pressing (airplane mode) F7 or Fn-F7. If this doesn't help you check that wireless device is present in Device Manager, is enabled and working properly (no arrows or yellow triangle present on device). If everything OK go to Control Panel-Network and Internet-Network Connections, identify the Wireless Network Connection. If this is Disabled, double click to enable it, right click and choose Connect. The driver for WiFi you can find here in case that you need.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Lenovo Yoga 2 13 (NOT Pro) Review

A few things (and please note that I am no techno geek). But I want to include things that helped me:
    - If you do searches online, and even talk to customer service reps, here and at stores, they tend to get the Yoga 2 Pro mixed up with the Yoga 2 13.
    - Reviews for the Yoga 2 13 are often for the one with lower end specs. I bought the one with upgraded specs.
    - For some reason the Lenovo Sales reps will tell you that the Yoga Pro is the only Yoga model with a backlit keyboard. This is not true! The Yoga 2 13 has a backlit keyboard - as does the yoga Thinkpad. Lenovo Backlit keyboards always have a little red "light" symbol on the space bar. And yes, this is a feature that I use all the time.
    - Wifi issues. Yes, I have had a few issues, but they were solved by going to Intel's website and updating the driver. When I tried updating it from the device list, I was told it was up to date, however it obviously was not. I have also read of another fix having to do with the bios, if the connection starts going out going in tablet mode, but have not needed to try this yet.
    - Speaking of modes...I use Tablet, Desktop and Tent mode all the time. I use stand mode too, but I like that tent keeps the keyboard clean. Really, I'm not sure how I functioned without a laptop that flips. My 3 year old can happily play ABC Mouse in tablet mode, my 12 year old son can watch YouTube videos, and I can fall asleep in bed watching Psych on Netflix in tent mode. I read books in tablet mode, which is quite comfortable resting on my lap.
    - The keyboard. I love it. My only regret is that the space bar has more travel to it, which means you have to push it harder then the rest of the keys, so many ofmy sentenceslook likethis. The backlit is awesome. I believe the Yoga Thinkpad has a backlite that you can adjust, but no biggies.  I do hate that the onscreen keyboard pops up -annoyingly so - when I am clearly in laptop mode.
-The screen. I looked at the Yoga Pro, but really, I was quite pleased with the Yoga 2 13's screen. The colors are vivid, and true to life, and I have had no issues with yellows, or ghosting etc. I will say that trying to read in bright sunlight is next to impossible, but it's nice to be able to adjust the brightness level with the touch of a button.  I also love the touch screen, and use it all the time.
    - Sound. The sound quality is nice, but I wish you could turn it up louder. Watching Netflix by the pool is next to impossible, but I think you can buy an external speakers.
    - If you have never had a computer with SSD, then you are in for a treat. This computer does have an extra slot for an upgrade, but I am fine for now with what I have.
    - Windows 8.1. I love it. Now, I have been using my Windows phone for over a year now, so it's what I'm used to. Win. 8.1 still has a desktop with all if the old features, you just have to get used to where everything is. ***Note that Windows 8.1 comes with a FREE virus scanner, but it will not work if the computer has other virus software loaded on it (like what this one comes with). So ditch the McAfee, Norton, or whatever else and ho with free.
-Bloatware. Yes, this comes with Lenovo stuff, but who cares? Keep it or delete it. I will say that some of the things - like the motion control and Dragon - have not worked at all for me. Whatever. Not a big deal in the scheme of things.
    - The Yoga 2 13 with upgraded specs - i7, 8gb, SSD, - does not exist in orange. At least not here in the US. I would've like that, but again, not a huge deal.
    - I wish this one came with the Lift and Lock Keyboard, but again, it's not that big of a deal, as the keys are deactivated.
-The Yoga Mode App is sometimes a little hyper, and hearing the ding noise while I'm watching a movie, and barely move, gets a little old, but I'm sure I could just uninstall if it got too much.
    - Battery. The battery is pretty good. I charge it up every night, and during the day when I can, and It's just fine. I love how the connecter is sturdy, and can be connected no matter which way you plug it in (unlike say, a mini USB)
-Weight. My last laptop was a 15 inch, that I got 7 years ago, and it was far from portable. This one is light enough to carry like a book. I am still trying to find a good bag for it, but have not found the perfect one yet.
So, why didn't I just go Pro?
I bought this computer elsewhere - rhymes with seegay - because I was nervous about having to wait moths for shipping, but regardless the Yoga 2 13 is a tiny bit cheaper. The screen issues and crazy resolution of the Pro did make me nervous, as well as the fact that I read some reports if the screen cracking - it is thinner then the Yoga 2 13. I like how sturdy the Yoga 2 13 feels, and how easily it is to switch modes, When I played with the Pro, the screen flexibility was concerning to me.
Also, the Yoga 2 13 is the NEWEST Yoga model, right now. It was released in 2014, and is the Yoga 13 with all the links ironed out, and upgraded features - like backlit keyboard - and specs - Haswell possessor, etc.
Asus is said to be releasing a Yoga like computer soon, but I am happy with my purchase

    Thanks for the review.
I have had my Yoga 2 13 since the end of March.  I had spent several weeks researching notebooks and just needed a nudge to make a decision.  The Yoga 2 13 for $799 from BestBuy nailed it for me.   I have been very happy with my purchase.  The screen is the best I have ever had in a notebook.  My other notebooks lacks the contrast and color fidelity of the Yoga 2 13.  I love the long battery life and the speed of the battery charge.
Have fun with your Yoga 2 13.

  • Yoga 13 touchpad not working at one spot

    Hi,
i bought an Ideapad Yoga 13 from amazon and it has one problem. One spot on the left side of the touchpad is not working. When I move my finger to that point, the cursor does not move and the little icon in the notification area of Windows 8 does not show any pressure. The area goes from top to the bottom of the touchpad but is only a few millimeters wide. This is very annoying when I move my finger from one side of the touchpad to the other for example when I'm dragging something with the cursor, because at this point the cursor just stops.
Could this be a problem with the driver or is my touchpad faulty and I should just send the Yoga 13 back? Also do I send it to amazon or lenovo?
Thanks for any answers and suggestions.

    hi pagefault,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
One way to try this out is to Uninstall the Synaptics Driver and try the touchpad using windows driver if it still the same.
    To Remove Synaptics Driver:
Go and open Control Panel / Programs and Feature / uninstall a program
You will see Synaptics as one of the programs, Uninstall that and restart the Computer.
Once restarted Try the touchpad and see if the problem is still there.
Verify that the synaptics driver is uninstalled by Checking the mouse properties
Open Control Panel / Hardware and Sound / Mouse
This option should be gone if the synaptics driver is uninstalled
If Without a driver,  you're still having the same issue I would consider this as a Hardware Concern.
You can contact Amazon or Lenovo Technical Support  about the issue.
If the problem disappeared without a driver
Try reinstalling the Synaptics driver by downloading and installing this
Synaptics TouchPad Driver for 64-bit Windows
    Best Regards

  • ThinkPad Yoga - Digitizer is not working

    Hello,
I just received my new shiny TPY (again). The first time I got it, the digitizer wasn't working. After a bit of research I realized that it probably was a hardware issue (No digitizer, pen or wacom device in device-manager). So I send it back.
The mainboard got replaced and today I have my machine back. It was all working fine including the digitizer.
But from one minute to the other it stopped working and I can't find any wacom or digitizer devices in the device-manager.
Now my first thought was, that the Windows updates messed something up, so I've done a rollback but it's still not working.
Am I doing something wrong or is it a hardware issue again?
    Thanks for advance.
    Robinhuett

Hello. It isn't a Hardware Problem. It seems to be a software problem after Windows 8.1 Update.
I have the same problem :-( When I start the PC it works perfect, until I used it as Tablet. After that the Digitizer Pen didn't work. So I reinstalled all drivers. After that the pen worked.. so I tested it again as Tablet, after that. the Digitizer Pen didn't work. Now I installed all drivers again but the Pen didn't worked.
It is a big problem at Lenovo, because Lenovo has problems with the pen software a long time. It is soooo sad because I love the Thinkpad Yoga but with this Problem the price isn't acceptable. So I am going to send it back and wait for the Surface Pro 3. Because Thinkpad stands for the perfect Business Notebook and now... Lenovo has with the digitizer pen more problems than all others. And this is very sad :-(

  • Yoga 2 wifi not working after update to Windows 10

Hi all, I just updated my brand new Lenovo Yoga 2 (13") from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. But after doing so, I cannot establish any WiFI/W-LAN-connection! If I go to the settings for network adapters in the system settings, I even caanot find the wireless LAN adapter as if it was not installed at all! Can anyone help me? Is there any source for new drivers or something else to fix this? Thanks a lot and best regards from GermanyJohannes

We had the same problem of wi-fi not appearing at all in network connections, with a newly bought Lenovo Yoga 2 13 with Realtek wireless just upgraded to Windows 10, and after a lot of tinkering managed to get it working. We did three things at the same time, which between them fixed it:1. Installed the Intel Chipset drivers for Windows 10 (from Lenovo's support site)2. Did a HARD/FULL SHUTDOWN (hold SHIFT when clicking shutdown), bypassing Windows fast hybrid shutdown.3. Accessed the BIOS, turned Wi-Fi setting in the BIOS off and on and saved settings (there's a button on the side to access the BIOS) I suspect the combination of 1 and 2 fixed it (with the FULL shutdown being key!), because I can't see just accessing the BIOS doing much, but thought I would list all 3 just in case! Sorry for not being more specific, but I hope this helps someone!

  • Target Display Mode not working iMac 27(2012) Bootcamp to iMac 27(2013)

    Hi All,
I recently purchased an iMac 27" 2013 which replaced my iMac 27" 2010.
    ===============
    PREVIOUS SETUP
    ===============
    (1) iMac 27" 2012 - Running Windows 8.1
    (2) iMac 27" 2010 - Running OS X Mavericks
    (1)+(2) were connected with a Mini-Display-Port cable.
    (1) was using (2) as external display while (2) was set to Target Display Mode using CMD+F2
    ==============
    CURRENT SETUP
    ==============
    (1) iMac 27" 2013 - Running Windows 8.1
    (2) iMac 27" 2012 - Running OS X Mavericks
(1)+(2) are connected with Thunderbolt cable.
    (1) can't use (2) as external display anymore becuase CMD+F2 has no effect anymore on (2) in this scenario.
If (1) and (2) are both running OS X all works as expected.
I am aware about the support hint from Apple where they state TDM is not working under Bootcamp.
And I agree, while booted into Windows Bootcamp this machine can't serve as external display. Makes sense because TDM is baked into OS X display drivers.
Anyone had the same experience and came to a soltuion?
    Thanks,
    Martin

"Apple has no plans to implement a client driver for Windows since there is no Thunderbolt SW stack available for Windows like there is for Display Port."
That is a little bit funny since Gigabyte and other big companies have said that 2014 is the year that they are going to implement Thunderbolt in many motherboards.
"GIGABYTE 7 series motherboards are the very first to offer fully certified dual onboard Thunderbolt™ ports. Capable of connecting up to 12 devices plus 3 digital displays simultaneously with breathtaking data transfer speeds that can transfer 1TB of data in only five minutes, GIGABYTE Thunderbolt™ motherboards offer the fastest connection interface on the desktop PC."
Have you asked Apple about that? I dont understand why Apple is crippling Thunderbolt on their devices...

  • Lenovo A1 - Touch screen not working after digitizer replacement

After dropping my tablet and breaking the digitzer, I ordered a replacement digitzer from a company in China. (It took about a month to get it) After watching this video, I was able to install my new digitizer and it finally looked new again....well at least the screen!
But.....when I powered up my tablet, the touch screen wasn't working..... I emailed back and forth with the company and they told me to install drive program, and send me a link to a site with a video, this site may have contained more than the video, but it was all in Chinese and I couldn't figure it out even with Google Translate. So I started researching. I thought I would try and load ICS on it, I thought, "Whats the worst thing that could happen?" it wasn't much more than a brick at this point anyways.
I found this website that let me through installing ICS on it. I had absolutly no expectations...but IT WORKED!!!! MY TOUCH SCREEN IS NOW WORKING!!!! I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!!!
When I was researching for this problem, there was absolutly no posts anywhere for "Touch screen not working after new digitizer". So I wanted to share my experience.

Yea you are correct.....it must be a hardware problem. You must contact service centre of Lenovo and get help from there.
You can say thank you by pressing the star left to my post IF I HELPED YOU

  • Lenovo IdeaPad Flex15 WiFi not working

IdeaPad Flex 15. Changed drivers to the latest from Intel. 17.1.0.19 from 7/21/2014 and the system always drop down in a few mins. I changed the power settings so fixed the issue with sleep mode. (when close laptop, and oipen, the card was not working anymore until manual disable/enable device).
Now it works, but lost connection and need to be at least switched off and on to reconnect network.
I want a quick solution please or take the laptop back and give me more mone. I'm not able to continuously work with that device and it is pain to have it. I just feel it was really bad investment into this device.. and to know that before, never will buy it.

    hi oxley
Sorry to hear about your Wi-FI trouble.
If you have the Intel® Wireless-N 7260 (Single Band, Wi-Fi + Bluetooth) combo card, can you try the following:
    1. Install Version: 17.0.6 (Latest) from the Intel site:
    File name: Wireless_17.0.6_De164.exe
    Version: 17.0.6 (Latest)
    Date: 08/11/2014
    Size: 21.35 MB
    Language: English
    Operating Systems: Windows 8.1, 64-bit*
    2. Disable the Bluetooth (see this guide)
    3. Set the power management settings of the Wireless Card and the PC to High Performance (see Method 2 and 3 of this guide)
When done, do a continuous ping via the command prompt (eg. ping -t www.google.com) and observe. If you get continuous reply and no connection drop / request timed out then that means the Wi-Fi connection is stable.
