  • Does the Lenovo G580 mother board supports three monitors?

    Hi,
I have a Laptop Lenovo G580 and I would like to know if it supports 3 monitors. The graphich card is not the problem but when I connect the third monitor to the HDMI port it shows that something is connected but doesn't detect the monitor.
After eading the documentation regarding windows 8 I learned that the problem could be the motherboard.
    Please advise.
    Thank you

It does not depend on the board but the cpu (and it's integrated gpu) being used. The board just offers the connectors for it. Check Intel's Configuration 3-Displays FAQ: http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-033714.htm
It lists supported and unsupported configs as well as possible modes and required igpus. With the correct mode and proper cpu a three screen setup is possible.

  • Bios rootkit, mother board malware

Hi, I am a newb with with a problem with ALL the machines I own (Presario CQ62,CQ56,and three Lenovo desktops).
I think my machines all have mother board malware. I am now running Linux (Ubuntu13.04,Fedora15 on the notebooks because my windows OS's were performing so poorly. Linux isn't much better. I decided to look at my dmesg log and found a few lines that concern me. They read as follows:
[   0.000000]  Booting paravirtualized kernel on bare hardware
    [   0.000000]  ACPI: HPET id: 0x1002a201 base: 0xfed00000
    [   0.000000]  SMP: Allowing 4 CPUs, 2 hotplug CPUs
Even though they are dual core machines. The CQ62 is a single core! This appears if I boot a live cd w/no HD or if I boot from the hard drive. The dead give away is that to connect to any network I must use a virtbr (virtual-bridge) interface. I cant just use the realtek and connect directly to a net. My machines cant see the hardware. My theory is the OS is loading into a virtual environment  that is being controlled by someone else. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If you need more specific info, please let me know. If you are some kinda mobo/bios guru I would be happy to ship one or two out. I'll pay the postage!

  • Pavillion DV4 mother board replacement

My Pavillion dv4 VM298UA won't charge.  I tried a new battery, charger and DC jack but no luck.  After searching the forums it looks like I need to replace my mother board.  Does anyone have answers to the following questions?
    1. What causes a mother board to go bad like this?
    2.  If I replace it is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again?
    3.  I have seen new and refurbished boards avaliable with the refurbished ones being about half the cost of new.  Is it ok to use a refurbished one?  The benefit is lower cost, but what is the risk?
    4.  Is there anything else that needs to be replaced at the same time?  ie fan, heat sink, etc
    5.  The boards I have seen do not come with a processor.  Is it a big deal to take the processor off my existing board and transfer it to the new board?  Any special tools or techniques needed?
    6. How likely is it that the mother board is the problem and not something else?  Is there any way to look at the mother board and tell?  Any tests that could be done?
    7.  Anything else I should be aware of before I invest any more $ into this thing?
Thinking about this another way, with the hard drive from this computer fit into any other computer?  I really would like to reserect the computer, but wjhat I really need to do is to get some stuff off the hard drive.  Is there another compure I could get that I could plug this HD into?
Are there any post that address these issues that I just haven't found yet?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Hello , the mother board notebook burned . How and where can I buy a new one, being in Brazil ?
Check with HP of Brazil or if they have eBay in Brazil and search for your board number to see if there is someone selling a matching board.

  • Video card to cupertino2 mother board

    Cheers!
I´ve got a HP Pavilion p6-2055sc with a motherboard cupertino2-H61-ua-TX, and i3 processor 2120. I am about to upgrade to a core i5-2500k. I am also considering a new graphics/video card compatible with the mother board. I am not looking for a high end graphics/video card since this would cost to much, require doing something about the power supply, etc (and thus I guess I could go for a new computer altogether). Do you know of an "affordable" and compatible card better than the nvidia gforce 520?

What is your BIOS revision? If it's 7, ok.  If it's 8, your into UEFI.  It's possible to get GPU's that do not have UEFI requirements.  Some readings to understand why WIN8 and UEFI are the newer system.
If you can get over the PSU hurdle, look at this UK seller for example.  Corsair 600W
If you go to this site, you can run various configurations.  I took the liberty of linking "Assassins Creed IV".  You enter various specs, and it gives you "values" based on these specs.  If you want to enter a different game, either google into the site with that game name, or use the "Can I Run It" tab.  Then you need an account, but it's free.

  • HARD DISK NOT WORKING AFTER MOTHER BOARD REPLACEMENT

Mother board of my laptop had to be replaced. meanwhile i had used hard disk from my laptop as external hard disk without formatting. After replacement of motherboard i have reconnected the same hard disk without formatting. but system does not boot up to operating system.

I have this issue before, in my case, its ribbon cable issue. dv9000 have two ribbon cables the one that have broken is the long one, (connect mobo to switch panel). However there is other possibility that the switch panel also broken.
Try buying the ribbon cable first, it is much cheaper compared to switch panel.

  • HPE-400f running but no picture or beep/manuf defect mother-board/should'nt HP fix it?

This is the letter i just sent to the HP CEO.
    PLEASE HELP!
I have been trying to get to the bottom of my HPE-400f problem for months now, and now I found an article disclosed by HP, that my model is included in the models that have a MANUFACTURER's DEFECT!
I believe it stated that the ongoing defect was with the mother-board.
I am hoping you will help me, because I am trying to avoid having to call India, and be put on hold for 1 hr., like the person that give me the link for the recall did.
I purchased my PC on 01/12/11, with the 2yr. extended $120.00 warranty,
Hp states they are adding 1 yr to that, but that still puts me out of warranty for like 7 mths now.
Why was I not notified by mail, that my investment in an almost $900.00 HP PC, had a DEFECT?
I hope that you will help me by doing the right thing, and taking care of this problem for me?
If you will, I will continue to be a loyal HP customer, as I have been since the 90"s.
If I have to pay, to fix HP's screw-up, I will NEVER have another HP product no where near me!
This Manfactured Defect, is the same thing to me, as an automobile recall.
I have to take my Toyota Prius in now for a problem, which has been recalled!
Of course , there will be NO-CHARGE at all, for this was their screw-up!
Please put yourself in my position, have some compassion/sympathy, and treat me the way you would want to be treated.
Please respond as soon as you can. I have been w/o this PC for some time now.
I have already purchased a video card replacement, due to its fan not working, and a power supply, because I thought maybe that was my problem, until I found HP's recall on the motherboard.
Here is the link to the RECALL information, that was NOT sent out to their customers!>>>>>>>http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c03199423
Thank you for your time, and hopefully for your help!

You'll certainly need a new logic board.
If I were you, I would take the machine into your local Apple Store or an AASP and have them evaluate the problems and give you an estimate for repair. If you're out of warranty, be prepared to pay a very high price to get your computer repaired.
    Good luck,

  • Can G5 1.8 dual mother board replace by a 2.5 dual

I've got a g5 2.5 dual mother replace to a 1.8 dual g5 tower, nothing happen except all the fans, did anyone know is it work, or my 2.5 mother board also dead?

2.5 dual mother replace to a 1.8 dual g5 tower, nothing happen except all the fans
FSB is completely different between the dual 1.8 and dual 2.5 GHz processors of the 970FX series....900 MHz vs 1.25 GHz. That likely isn't going to work as it is a big overclock.
Also, if the 1.8 processors are 970 series processors, I doubt that they would work on a 970FX board, which the 2.5 GHz board is..

  • Mother board failure in Compaq Presario C770TU Notebook PC

    Dear,
    My
Compaq Presario C770TU Notebook PC has an problem during windows installation. it hangs out during the installation process. when the step of 39 minutes is going on. earlier i have changed my battry from hp care centre. i have shown to IT person without opening the laptop he seems might issue of mother board.
please suggest me what shall i do.

    Hello khadkemm,
You mention you are performing an installation of Windows.  Is this an upgrade situation?  What operating system is currently installed and what are you upgrading to?  You may want to take a look at this page, and see if it helps.
You can replace the motherboard by looking at your Maintenance and Service Guide, but the software hanging up does not necessarily mean the motherboard is defective.  Are you experiencing other issues and error messages?  If so, what are they?
Please reply with more specifics and let me know if the info above helps.
    Good luck!

  • New Hard drive and mother board, how do I get my music off my ipod?

    Hi all,
I recently had my headphone jack replaced and Apple was nice enough to also replace my mother board and my hardrive! I neglected to back up my music, and now all my music is on my Ipod and I don't know what to do.
Is there any way to export my music from the ipod to my computer?
    Thanks!

There is a program or two that you could download and use to transfer files from Ipod to Computer. Senuti is the one I have used. Works great and is free.

  • M8530f desktop PC with a m2n78-la mother board doesn't see my drives

i have a m8530f desktop PC with a m2n78-la mother board it doesn't see my drives for some reason. i thought it might be a bios problem. is there any way to fix this or do i need to get another board

Before you begin, disconnect everything from the computer (USB devices, printers, floppy disks, and CD/DVD discs) but leave the mouse, monitor and keyboard connected. You already checked and made sure that the power and data cables have a good connection to your drives and the motherboard now go to your BIOS Setup (should be F10) and reset the BIOS to its' defaults (should be F5 and then press the enter key). Arrow over to the Main screen and the hard drive should be recognized. Exit BIOS and save the changes. The computer should load the Windows OS if it's installed on the hard drive. If you get into Windows, check the Device Manager to make sure that the drive is showing up there too. If the hard drive was not detected, after you save the changes and exit the BIOS, turn off the computer. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the PC then press the power button on the computer for 5 seconds. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the computer and see if it boots up.  If it still doesn't boot up, try a different SATA connection on the motherboard (one that hasn't been used). If that doesn't help, disconnect the Memory card reader connections inside the computer and try to boot again. If it still doesn't work and since you already tried a new hard drive, I would suspect a SATA controller/bus problem and you may need to install a SATA controller card to resolve the problem.
