Lens profile for Canon PowerShot S120?

Is there a lens profile for the Canon PowerShot S120?

Powershsot S100 is available - minor difference in aperture specification but same zoom range - implying that the elements may be the same.  Could serve for your purposes and works well for my S100.

  • Tokina 12-24 F4 Lens Profile for Canon 500D

    Dear Adobe Support Specialist,
I found a Tokina 12-24 lens profile for Canon 450D in this Forums but I am using Canon 500D.  Please kindly advise if it works on 500D too. If not, will there be one soon for download.  Look forward to your soonest reply

    Hi
I'm not the Adobe support specialist, but I made a lens profile for my Tokina11-16 by using EOS kiss F.
The profile works well on my EOS kiss X3 too. Thus I guess the prolide you found is also fit your 500D.
Why not try the profile you found. you can check the profile works well or not.
    kiss F = 1000D, kiss X2 = 450D, and Kiss X3 = 500D.

  • Lens Profile for Canon 500mm f/4?

I seem to remember that there used to be a lens profile for the Canon 500mm f/4 lens in my older versions of Lightroom 3, but now when I use LR3.6, I see "none" listed when looking for a profile for this lens in the Develop module.  Is this a change in 3.6 or am I mistaken?  This probably is not a big deal because I don't remember seeing much change when turning on the profile correction before for this lens, but I am beginning to wonder if I was imagining something.... If the profile was dropped from the latest version, are there any independent profiles for this lens?  Can you remind me how to load a user developed profile?  Thanks.

Most likely you saw it listed for a CR2 file, and now you're looking for it for JPEG. The raw versions are lots more numerous than the jpeg versions of the profiles.

  • Lens Profile for Canon EF200mm f1.8L

I'm not sure if this has been answered before or not, but I am looking for a lens profile for the Canon EF 200mm f1.8L. Does such a profile exist? If not, how can I request the creation of this profile?
    Thanks,
    Shawn

There doesn't appear to be any available. As this would be a rare lens there would be little chance of Adobe producing one, however you can create (and share) one of your own with your camera/s.
    The tool is here: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/lensprofile_creator/
    Don't forget to share it!!

  • Produced lens profile for Canon G12 put in folder 1.0 does not show in lightroom edit pane

Noted that adobe show lens profiles for G10, G12 G15 and G1X but only G10 shows in downloader and in lightroom edit pane profile selection
Created my own lens profile for G12 svaed it but does not come up in edit pane choices??

What LR version are you using, and does LR let you manually select the profile you want?
I take your point that Canon could have offered their own Adobe-compatible profiles, but those would probably have needed to then be supplied to the end user by Canon, not by Adobe.
I am seeing the particular Canon profiles that you mention, in LR 5.4, offered against Raw images but not against non-Raw images.
Unless you are using an older software version, or selecting perhaps a derived edit version in e.g. TIFF instead of a Raw, I am at a loss why you are not seeing them too.
I believe these will have been generated by Adobe. They are here on my PC:
Please note that there is a non-Raw profile listed there for e.g. the G10 but not for e.g. the G12. So the fact that you ARE seeing a profile for the G10, lends some weight to the idea that the image currently selected may not in fact be Raw based.
BTW, I don't think that any extra profiles that the user might make or find, and then save in here, are going to ever be seen by LR (or ACR). This is apparently the Adobe "official installed profiles only" location.
Any profiles made or found by the user, need to be saved into a similar folder within the user's data area, in order for LR to see them and use them. And if these are Raw based, they will still not appear for a non-Raw based image.
On my Windows computer, that location is C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0
This has a "Downloaded" subfolder (which is, I think, the destination used by the Adobe profile downloader utility).

  • Is there a lens profile for Canon EF100-400mm/4.5-5.6L IS II USM for Lightroom 5 ?

I have Lightroom 5.7 and Camera RAW 8.8 (Via DNG converter 8.8) in Mac OS X 10.10.2.
According to Adobe documentation there lens profile for EF100-400mm/4.5-5.6L IS II USM should be provided by Camera Raw8.8.
However, I cannot not find lens profile correction for this lens from Lightroom 5.7. Does anyone know howto enable lens profile for this lens ?

    Thanks, this workaround works:
I copied appropriate lens profile from (the .lcp file)
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0
    to:
    /Users/<my username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles

Sorry Adobe, but this is Canons Compact camera Flagship and still have no Lens correction profile after 9-10 Months on market??
    I cant't understand it!!

This is a User to User forum. Official requests to Adobe go here: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/products/photoshop_family_photoshop_lightro om
Adobe provides a free tool for you or some other G1X user to create your own profile. http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5489 It doesn't take that all that much effort.

  • Lens Profile for Canon 16-35

Using Canon Mark11 camera and Canon 16-35 lens.  I can not find a profile for it in Lightroom Lens Correction.  Any thoughts on where I can find a profile for this lens?
    Thanks,

I also don't see the Canon 16-35 f2.8 II listed in the lens corrections popup list, using the Lightroom 4 Demo downloaded a week ago.  How can get this profile to show up?

  • Canon FD 50mm 1.8 Lens Profile for Canon 60D

I've created a lens profile today for the Canon FD 50mm 1.8 on a Canon 60D using the Fotodiox adapter.  I sent it to Adobe for posting publicly.   If anyone would like to download it in the meantime you can find it here:
    Please click this link
I might have messed it up.  It's my first time creating a profile and seemed to work fine for me in Lightroom.  Let me know if there are any improvements to be made. I used f5.6 since that seemed to be the sweet spot on the lens and the imager was about 5 feet from the chart.

JPG lens profiles are distinct from RAW lens profiles because cameras can fix things with the camera-produced JPGs that the lens profiles also fix and you can get double-corrections by using a raw lens profile with a jpg, but it depends on the capabilities and settings of the particular camera.
If you are sure your camera isn’t correcting geometric and vignetting issues with your JPGs, then you can hack the lens profile you downloaded to use it with JPGs, by editing the .lcp file with a text editor and change the flag indicating it is for raw files from True to False.  I forget what this flag is called, exactly, but it is obvious and near the top of the files.
On Windows, the lens profiles are downloaded to:
    C:\Users\--username--\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\
AppData is a hidden or system folder so you’ll need to unhide such folders in the folder options in Explorer or just type in the path an hit Enter in the address area of Explorer.

  • Lens profile for Canon 28/1.8 - already installed in LR4?

Hmm, the explanation of lens profiles and how to add them is a little confusing.
When I look here in Adobe's own list of supported lenses, my new "Canon EF 28mm f/2.8 IS USM" is listed there:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/lens-profile-support-lightroom-4.html
Does that mean that profile should already be installed in LR 4? (I am running 4.4)
The profile is not showing up in Lightroom for me. (I am shooting JPEG.)
I downloaded the lens profile downloader, and found a profile for this lens, but is that the official Adobe profile for the lens? I installed it but it still doesn't work for me because it is for RAW only.
    Sorry for the newbie question.
    thanks in advance,
    Paul D.

  • Lens Profile for Canon 24-70 2.8 USM II lens in ACR 6.7.1, PS5, Mac?

I use a Mac, PS5, ACR 6.7.1.  Recently I bought a Canon 24-70 2.8 USM II lens, but found that there is no such lens profile in the ACR to enable lens correction.  How can I download this lens profile?

Which version of mac os x are you using?
If your using a version newer than mac os x 10.6.8 snow leopard, then see if installing the 8.6 dng converter gives you that lens profile in camera raw.

The Canon 500 F4 IS is an extremely (perhaps the most) popular lens for wildlife photographers.  Yet it is missing from the lens profiles.  Why?  How can I request that Adobe get on the ball and include this popular lens?

  • Profile for Canon Powershot SD870 (Ixus 860)

I could not find a Lens/Camera profile for the SD870 so I created one myself.  It does help and shows I neat it is to make these corrections.  I don't know much about setting my camera and very little about Lightroom 3, except that both are excellent products.
I will upload my profile, but first I would like to see if I can improve it or find a better one.
    Limitation is my profile:
Small target - Legal 5x13 72 Points, therefore camera close to target.
    Shooting in auto mode.
Not knowing what I am doing
    As to my profile questions.
What do I put for Screen Dimension (pixels)?  in the Adobe Lens Profile Creator
Has anyone else profiled the SD870?  If so, they have probably done a better job.
Does the Adobe profile have any relationship with the Raw profile I see when I google about this?
    Thanks for any help
    Richard

I found the answer to one of my questions.  The ruler for the screen dimension is part of the Profile Maker. These are good instructions.

  • LR4 lens profile for Canon 85mm 1.2

Somehow, I have lost my profile for my lens. I have a profile for the 1.8 85mm but not the 1.2. Same goes for the 50mm 1.2. What do I need to do to find them and install them?

To search for lens profiles on the web you have to download & install the <Adobe Lens Profile Downloader>.
And for the installation of that you need first to download and install <Adobe Air>.
Both programs are free and can be downloaded from Adobe's website.
