Lens Profile Not Showing Up in Lightroom 5.7

Despite the profile for a particular lens appearing in (what I presume to be) the correct places on my hard drive (see paths below), the lens profile does not appear in the drop-down within LR panel for Lens Corrections / Lens Profile.  Other new Sony lenses (FE series) do show up but not ALL of them that are in either location (paths below).  Weird.  What am I missing?
The profile does show up in ACR 8.8.  Similarly, Photoshop CC 2014.2.2 populates the profile automatically when I use Filter>Lens Correction but it just won't appear in Lightroom.
Background: CC subscriber, Lightroom 5.7.1, Win 8.1, 64-bit; I have restarted my computer and LR several times.
Profile that is not appearing: SONY (Sony FE 24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS) - RAW.lcp
I see it here:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1\Resources\LensProfiles\1.0\Sony
and here:
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0\Sony
The camera (Sony a7ii) also appears in the related "Camera Profile" locations and it does show up in the "Make" drop-down in LR.
Thanks for any help,
Bill

Thank you.
Worked perfectly.
Bill

  • Lens profiles not showing up in cs6

I have cs6... the lens profiles are not showing up in either camera raw or photoshop. They are grayed out in the lens correction filter tab. any help would be appreciated.

Okay, I'm answering my own reply. I discovered the problem. It was the fact that LR was running in 64-bit mode. Apparently Epson's profiles are not set up for that...
So, if anyone has this issue, that is the answer. 64-bit mode was either selected as a default after upgrading to v2.5, or I perhaps selected it after reading Seth Resnicks' Lightroom book where he recommends 64bit for speed.

  • Printer/Paper profiles not showing up in Lightroom 1.3.1

I installed 2 new paper profiles from Red River over the weekend in XP Pro. Only 1 of them actually show up in lightroom to choose from. The one that can be selected works fine but I can't view the other one. I've tried uninstalled and reinstalling it. I can, however, see and select this profile in Photoshop CS and other applications. Lightroom seems to be the only one with problems. Does this point back to a red river problem or is lightroom picky about something I don't know?

I talked to LR today -- no help, told me to call Epson.
Epson advised me to go tp PRINT mode > RT menu > Print Job > Managed by Printer click this and choose other. Drop down menu appears and you can choose your profile. then back to print setting and the profile should show up there.
My profile did not show there -- I was advised that because I have Matte Black ink cartridge in the print that the Premium Luster will not show because PL will only print with Photo Black.
So I need to change the ink type and hopefully I will be able to print on the Prem Luster.
    ope this helps you.

  • Lens Profiles not showing up (manual focus lenses)

I am trying to create profiles for a few manual focus lenses. The profiling process seems to go as it should and I create and save a profile. When I go to Photoshop > Lens Correction, however, the profiles I just created don't appear.
Clearly there is no EXIF data and I don't know if Lens Correction requires that in order to find appropriate profiles. The profiles I've created do appear in the proper folder.
Any ideas? What am I doing wrong?

    Hey,
not sure if you resolved your Problem by now, but I just post this cause I did have a similar Problem that the profiles created didn't show up in CameraRaw.
I solved the Problem by altering the following line inside the profile:
    <stCamera:CameraRawProfile>False</stCamera:CameraRawProfile>
Just replaced False by True et voila:
    <stCamera:CameraRawProfile>True</stCamera:CameraRawProfile>
    Problem solved for me
    Hope this will help someone

  • Lens Profiles not registering in Lightroom 4

I have a number of lens profiles that I have created with Adobe Lens Profile Creator and placed in the  designated folder, but when I run Lightroom, they do not appear in the list.
There is an "index.dat" file under folder 1.0 that I suspect needs to be updated, but I don't know how.
I also added a Minolta folder since there was noe befor to place my Minolta lens profiles. This does not show either when I run Lightroom.

Rikk is correct. User created lens profiles should be put under the user specific lens profiles folders.
On Mac, put them under (note there is no space in the "CameraRaw" sub-folder) or any of its sub directories:
    Hard Drive>Users>your user name>Library>Application Support>Adobe>CameraRaw>Lens Profiles>1.0
    On Windows,
    C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0
I thought ALPC will default to save to these user speficic locations.

  • Lens profiles not available in Lightroom CC

I have downloaded and installed lens profiles but they do not show in Lightroom CC as choices in the drop down menu? They were there for Lightroom 4 but not since I purchased and installed Lightroom 5 via the Creative Cloud?

I have downloaded lens profiles in an analogous folder on my computer and they work ok, so you're putting them in the right place, assuming you're logged in as user Michael.
The other thing is are the photos you're opening RAW or non-RAW, and is the lens-profile you're hoping to use for RAW or non-RAW, and is it for the same camera manufacturer (Canon, Nikon, etc) as your photos?

  • Lens Profiles not working in Lightroom 5.4?

I've got OSX 10.9.2, Lightroom 5.4, latest Camera raw, everything up to date.
When I "Enable Profile Corrections" for an image shot with a Sony a7r and Sony FE 55mm lens, it should automatically retrieve this profile:
      /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0/Sony/SONY (Sony FE 55mm F1.8 ZA) - RAW.lcp
Well, it doesn't.  The only Sony lens available in Lightroom's Lens Correction panel is "Sony DT 18-200mm."  But there are several dozen Sony lense profiles in the "Sony" directory.
And more puzzling, the camera "Make" menu lists 8 manufacturers (Apple, Canon, DJI, GoPro, Nikon, Sigma, Sony, Tamron) but leaves out a number of others — Fujifilm, Hasselblad, Leica, Mamiya, etc.
And as with Sony, only one Tamron lens is listed.
I've tried re-installing Lightroom fresh, and no luck.
Photoshop works fine and has all the lens profiles.
Anyone else noticing this?  Got a fix?
    Irked in Cambridge,
    Mike

I only shoot in RAW, and I am having this same issue. I shoot Nikon with a Tokina lens. This morning, Tuesday October 14, 2014, I had this setting. I closed the program and restarted it, and now I only have Apple, Canon, DJI, GoPro, Nikon, Sigma, Sony, Tamron lens profiles. There was not an update, nor did I actually change any settings. What is going on here?
I talked to customer support, whom suggested that I was stoned out of my mind because these profiles do not exist in lightroom. I did as the rep asked, followed the link and downloaded the "new" profile. Now I can't get it installed. Meanwhile, my photos are waiting for me to edit them. Can someone please help out here?!

  • Lens profile not appearing in Lightroom

    Hi folks,
I have installed Lightroom 5.4 from CC on Windows 8 and just ensured it is updated.
I am attempting to use a lens profile correction for a Sony E 35mm 2.8 lens (which should have been added in the Lightroom 5.3 update).
When I attempt to select the lens profile, the only lens I have showing under Sony is a DT 18-200mm.
Do I need to activate anything in order to get the Sony 35mm to show?
    Cheers

The lens profile is likely built in and always applied so there’s nothing to select; however, if you want to upload a raw file I can check in Photoshop, which actually tells you that it’s using a built-in profile, rather than leaving you wonder.  Use http://www.dropbox.com and post a public download link, here, in a reply.

  • Lens Model label not showing up in Lightroom 5:  Pentax HD DA 55-300mm f/4-5.8 ED WR

How can I get this resolved?
    Thanks!

There is a profile available for the Pentax HD DA L 55-300mm f/4-5.8 ED  but not the Pentax HD DA 55-300mm f/4-5.8 ED WR.  I do not know if the profile is compatible between the two.  If not, your options are to wait until Adobe profiles the lens or to profile it yourself using the Lens profile tool: Adobe - Adobe Lens Profile Creator : For Windows

  • Lens profile not recognized by LR 5.3

At work, on a Windows 7 laptop, I used the Adobe Lens Profile Creator utility to make an LCP file for a Nikon 1 6.7-13mm zoom lens.  After submitting that LCP file to adobe via email, I copied it to my Dropbox.  At home, on my Mac OS X 10.8.5, I copied the LCP file from the Dropbox to:
    \Library\Application Support\Adobe\Camera Raw\Lens Profiles\1.0\
Then I launched LR 5.3, navigated to a raw (NEF) image shot with this lens, and attempted to apply the lens correction in the Develop pane.  Although the Library correctly shows the meta data for the lens and camera, the Lens Correction section in Develop does not even list that lenses LCP file in the drop down menu.  Instead, LR attempts to apply a different lens profile which does not match the focal length of the zoom.  I'm wondering if the LCP file that I created will only work on a Windows PC since that is where it was created?  What other explanation could there be for this problem?  Thanks for any advice...

Update - I stayed up late last night and re-ran the lens profile creator at home on my Mac OS X 10.8.5.  Placed that LCP file in the directory I originally mentioned above (I overwrote the earlier LCP file created on a Windows machine), launched LR 5.3, and LR successfully matched the new profile with my lens.
Lesson learned - an LCP file created on Windows OS cannot be used on a Mac, and I assume, vice versa.  In retrospect, this shouldn't be a surprise (but some other file formats appear to work on either).  I wonder if Adobe translates user submitted LCP files from one platform to the other, so that downloads are offered to the community equally on either platform...

  • Lens Profile not available for old photos

    Hi
I got busy creating a lens profile for my Canon 550 and EFS 15-85 f/3.5-5.6 IS USM as there was no profile listed for this lens when I took some photos in early July. I now find that the profile is now available  (for the photos taken in the last week or so) and automatically selected when I select 'Enable Profile Corrections' BUT is still not available for the older photos - can someone tell me how to get the new profile available for the older photos - in fact why does the list not show the new profile??

    Thanks Ian
I do all RAW now but to get more photos on my SD card
    used JPEG for a time.

  • Camera Calibration profiles not showing

On Vista Business SP1, only ACR 4.4 and ACR 4.2 show in the Camera Calibration tab, in both ACR 5.3 and Lightroom 2.3.
    Both
    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\Camera
    and
    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\Adobe Standard
are present, with entries for my Canon 40D. The profiles were showing in earlier (beta) versions of ACR and Lightroom, and, I think, in the latest version, but now are not showing.
    Thanks for any help.
    Dan Dill

Somehow my install must have gotten munged.
I just reinstalled PS (and so Bridge and ACR) from the CS4 distribution, applied the related updates, and now the camera profile show properly in ACR 5.3 and LR 2.3.
I should say, the reinstall and update process went without a hitch, for which I am grateful.

  • Using Lens profiles for Nikon D800 in Lightroom 3.6

When I use Lightroom 3.6 with pictures from Nikon D800, the lens profile for the Mikro Nikor 60 mm lens is not in the list of coice. However, when the picture is from a Nikon D5000, the same lens appears in the list. So, a lens profile exists, but is not open for pictures from the D800. How can I solve this problem? The same is true for the 18-200 mm lens, which however is not suited for the D800 due to heavy vignetting at wide angle, and with the 70-300 mm, which gives good results.

The D5000 is a crop sensor. The D800 is a Full-Frame sensor.  The Profile for D5000 cannot be "scaled" for a full-frame sensor: thus, it cannot be used.
Every lens has multipe profiles: 1 for Raw and 1 for Jpeg in each sensor size.  If one has not been created for your particular lens, camera a file format you have three options.
1: Download the Adobe Lens Profile tool from Adobe Labs and create on yourself. It isn't hard but it is time consuming.
2: Part of the Adobe Lens Profile tool is a Lens Profile Downloader where you can gain access to a community of people who have shared their lens profiles.
3: Wait for Adobe to include it in a dot release of Lightroom.
I checked and I did see the profile for your 60MM available via the downloader.
