レンズプロファイルにオリンパスがないのはなででしょうか?cs5にも6にもありません。
why does not cs6 have lens profile of olympus E-5

Could be one of two reasons:
1— No one has created such a profile for that camera model yet; or
2— If Adobe has determined the effort is warranted and already has had the occasion and time to make such a profile (which I have no idea if that is the case or not), you need to update your software.

  • Lens Profiles - Search Online greyed out

    Hello,
I was looking for more lens profiles within Photoshop CS5 and I noticed that within the "Lens Correction" window under "Lens Profiles" the "Search Online" button is greyed out.  I am looking for more Canon lenses.
    1. Why would this option be greyed out?
    2. Where can I go to get more Canon Lens Profiles?
    Thanks,
    Dave.

    @simonsaith
That helps to understand what is going on, I checked my images in Bridge and under "Lens" in the EXIF information there is no data, so this makes sense.
I just took some experimental shots and Bridge verifies that is has the Lens data.  I pulled them into Photoshop Lens Correction and the "Search Online" button is now available.
I am not sure why it did not see the lens data before and does now.  Perhaps it is because I recently ran the Canon EOS Utility and registered the Lens Peripheral Illumination Correction data with the camera? I am not sure.
Thanks for your help on this!
    Dave.

That is NEVER a good reply to someone. What you and people like you don't seem to understand is that these forum posts quite often become the top google search results. I can't tell you how utterly livid it makes me to search for a question on Google and the first 5 results are people with the same question but instead of answers I just see people telling them to "Google it."
This is a forum, the point is to discuss and to ask questions. No one is wasting time or resources by asking questions. The only time you have an excuse to criticize someone for asking a question is when that question has been answered on the actual forum; people definitely should search the forum first before posting. That's a controlled environment though, you have access to the forum and the archived posts don't change. You have no idea what Google's search results will be in the future so you have no business telling people to search for something on Google because what you find today will be vastly different from what you'll find just two weeks from now. Google servers could go down or the person could be using the forum via Smartphone app, any number of factos could affect how they access information. If you have the means to answer the question on the medium you know they can access, why try to redirect them?
That's my two cents. Telling people to "Google it" on a forum is a total cop out. Answer the question or don't even post, you are the one wasting everyone's time by providing misleading and/or unhelpful answers.

  • Does the Lens Profile Creator work with Photoshop Elements 8.0..?

    Hello,
I am very new to the world of Photoshop, so please forgive if this is an obvious/stupid question...
I am using Photoshop Elements 8.0 and I have a couple of pictures that I need to remove the 'fish eye' lens distortion from around the edges...
The blurb for the Lens Profile Creator says that it is for use in the "Adobe Photoshop® family of products"...
Does this include Photoshop Elements 8.0 or do they really mean it is just for Photoshop CS5, Camera Raw and Photoshop Lightroom...
    Any help will be appreciated...
    Many Thanks
    mc1903uk

PSE does not have the user-interface to turn on lens-corrections, nor does the ACR 6.1 update for PSE contain the lens-profile database installer, so if PSE is the only member of the PS-family that you have installed then effectively you cannot apply lens profiles.
If a computer has the lens-profile database installed and lens-distortion-correction has been enabled in the XMP sidecar for a particular image, both requiring PS-CS5's ACR 6.1-updater or LR3 to be installed and one of those used to enable lens-corrections for the image, then PSE can use ACR 6.1 to apply a lens profile, because the version of the ACR 6.1 plug-in for PS and PSE is the same plug-in.
BTW, removing fish-eye distortion completely, which is what enabling lens-corrections does by default, will leave a rather poor looking image that has been completely rectilinearized but has severe stretching of the pixels at the edges, so only the center is useable.  With my 8mm Sigma fisheye, I reduce the Distortion part of the correction down to 44 so the black corners are gone, but there is still some bulging of the image.
If you want to experiment with lens-corrections, you could install the 30-day trial of LR3.

  • After updating to ACR 6.4.1 i've got no new lens profiles

    Hi,
    i've installes LR3.4.1 and CS5 x64/x86.
    Now i've bought a new Fujifilm HS20.
I read that within ACR 6.4(.1) a lens profile for the Fuji HS20 is included.
So i start the update out of CS5.
The update to ACR 6.4.1 runs without errors and completed successfully.
After a restart of my system i tryed to open an HS20 RAW within CS5
and i saw that no new lens profiles were available.
    Same within LR3.4.1.
But booth (LR & CS) are knowing ACR 6.4.1.....

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance, Rainer

Ok, i think this was my mistake.
I thougt that with the RAW support also a lens profile would come.
    But as i've read http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2011/04/lightroom-3-4-and-camera-raw-6-4-now-avail able.html
i understood that RAW support and lens profiles do not come togehter.

  • Lens Profiles in Lightroom 3

I've created a lens profile for the Olympus E-P2 M.9-18mm F4.0-5.6 lens using the Adobe Lens Profile Creator. I used RAW files converted to DNG. However, I cannot figure out where to put the profile so that Lightroom recognizes it. Initially, I saved the profile to the default location chosen by the Profile Creator, but this didn't work, though Photoshop finds it with no difficulty. Can anyone help?

I'm using Windows 7 64x so I can't comment on a Mac but suspect the same applies. Two downloaded profiles were stored in a default user location - the same place that Lens Profile Creator would file it but the default location for Lightroom profiles was the shared profiles location.  I simply copied the only two profiles across from user location to the shared location After a relaunch Lightroom placed them at the bottom of my list.

  • Adobe Lens profile Downloader doesn't install on Mac OS/X

I want to include Zuiko Olympus and panasonic/Leica lens profiles to be used inside Lightroom 4.3
I try to install Adobe Lens Downloader 1.0.1.air and get an error during the installation process
I am using the last release of AdobeAIR.dmg
    My O/X is  10.6.8
Soory the image is in French ...so here is the translation for US readers
    "Sorry, an error has occurred.
This application cannot be installed because this installer has been misconfigured. Please contact the application author for assistance."
    Any ideas?
    Francis

I have the same problem on Windows 7 Pro, its not about McIntosh, its probably an "Air-Error".
When I started Lens Profile Downloader, an Air update prompt popped up. So I updated Air to v3.3 if my memory serves, after which yet another Air update prompt appeared, this time to version 3.6. I installed that one too.  After which I found on Adobe web pages Lens Profile Downloader 1_0_1, but ONLY as an *.air file, no *.exe.
Ah well, why to go the simple way, lets develop our own "downloader" of a "kind 3000 and 7", and maintain it, just like every camera just have to have its own raw format.
With this *.air file and the Air 3.6 I also get this installation error:
I suppose we have to get an older air version, or just wait for the version 3.7 or something...

  • Lens Profile Downloader 1.0.1 - Can't sign in as required

To download profiles the utility requests sign in to photoshop.com.
When entering the same e-mail and password that I use to sign on from my browser I get:
"Could not log in to this account"
I am using Win7 64bit.  Previously I had CS5 Ext and just recently upgraded to CS6.
The same Adobe e-mail and password that work for everything else, don't work in Lens Profile Downloader

You shouldn't have to sign in just to download the profiles, just hit the Download button.
I believe you would only sign if you wanted to rate or comment on a lens profile.
Not sure that part of photoshop.com even exists anymore.

  • Should I bother with the Adobe Lens Profile Creator?

I am concentrating mostly on architectural photography these days and I need a pep talk about the "Adobe Lens Profile Creator". The process seems laborious and error prone -  in other words it could end up being a waste of time and money (for the printing of the calibration charts). Has anyone used it to good effect? And with what lenses?
I do the bulk of my work with the 24mm PC-E Nikkor f/3.5 lens and I also use two older lenses  - the 28mm PC Nikkor f/3.5 and (my favorite) the 15mm Nikkor f/3.5. All three lenses suffer from a small amount of barrel distortion and chromatic aberration so some correction is usually needed.
I have two specific reservations about the lens profiling process -
    1. It came out with Photoshop CS5. Since then the manual controls have increased in sophistication. Can't I get pretty much the same result using the manual adjustments?
    2. In my drop-down menu in Adobe Camera Raw CC there are eighty-one lenses listed - but not the three I am using! This is crazy and reflects badly on the people who designed the whole process. Who cares about perspective correction in a 600mm lens?
Anyway, I would appreciate a reply from anyone who has gone through the profiling process. Thanks.

    create an jpg/tif – profile
create a copy from the lcp
rename this copy with “ – RAW”
open this lcp with an editor
search any “False” and rename it to “True”
save it and you have a perfect raw - lensprofile
Ok, but what does it mean rename and correct the content of the lcp file?
It remains a profile created from jpg source, CameraRaw could consider it like a raw lens profile but it has no more value than a jpg profile, I believe...
Anyway, for whatelse it could be useful your suggestion to modify lcp file?
    Thank you for your attention

In Camera Raw Photoshop CS5 lens profile list. The lens AF-S Nikkor 24mm - 85mm f3.5 - 4.5 is not included

There are some lenses that are not that popular, so no profile has been created.  You can create your own profile:

  • Lens profile corrections unresponsive

I need a hand in troubleshooting the following:
The last time I accessed my catalog I was able to use the automatic lens profile corrections feature of Lightroom. Now, I am unable, and get the error message stating that Lightroom is unable to locate a matching profile automatically.
I'm using supported equipment (Nikon 24-70 / 70-200) and the lens shows up in the EXIF data as viewed in Lightroom.
At first I thought this was a result of first using Photomechanic to caption my images but when I attemped to import into lightroom directly from the card, the same thing happend.
    Any ideas?

Profiles are not presets, they are stored somewhere in a shared system directory. Camera Raw shares the same location for profiles, that's why uninstalling CS5 removed the profiles.
    Reinstall Lightroom.

  • Lens Profile for Tokina 10-17mm

I have just downloaded LR3 to try out the distoortion tool for a bunch of shots I took with my D200 and Tokina 10-17mm.  I understand this lens has not been added as yet by Adobe.  I have read I might be able to find a profile through the CS5 community, but I don't own CS5 so that isn't an option.  This is quite a common lens so is there any other way of getting a profile as sure someone has done this already?  Failing that I get an improvment using the Nikon 10.5mm or 16mm profile so if it looks OK on the screen am I doing anything stupid?
    thanks any advice
    Mike

    Mike,
The Adobe Lens Profile Downloader (see bottom of page) released together with LR3.3RC provides an access to the community profiles of Photoshop. I've checked quickly and couldn't find a profile for what you're looking for, but for the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8. Please check yourself, as I might have missed something.
