Lens Profile Vignetting Slider greyed out

For lens correction of Sony RX1 images, only the distortion slider is available, and the vignetting slider is always greyed out.  Is that normal?

Thanks Jeff,
You are absolutely right.
I thought I had upgraded properly, but I had not.
Ran the updater again, and success.
Thanks again.

  • Lens Profiles - Search Online greyed out

    Hello,
I was looking for more lens profiles within Photoshop CS5 and I noticed that within the "Lens Correction" window under "Lens Profiles" the "Search Online" button is greyed out.  I am looking for more Canon lenses.
    1. Why would this option be greyed out?
    2. Where can I go to get more Canon Lens Profiles?
    Thanks,
    Dave.

    @simonsaith
That helps to understand what is going on, I checked my images in Bridge and under "Lens" in the EXIF information there is no data, so this makes sense.
I just took some experimental shots and Bridge verifies that is has the Lens data.  I pulled them into Photoshop Lens Correction and the "Search Online" button is now available.
I am not sure why it did not see the lens data before and does now.  Perhaps it is because I recently ran the Canon EOS Utility and registered the Lens Peripheral Illumination Correction data with the camera? I am not sure.
Thanks for your help on this!
    Dave.

  • Camera profile tab suddently greyed out

Went to use LR just now and the camera profile options are greyed out. Anyone else experience this? I'm using 5.7 and OSX 10.10.2
I've never seen this disabled ever.

You're quite correct that both operating systems have problems. To offer my story, I had used Windows exclusively since 1993. I'd wanted a Mac at that time but they were SO much more expensive than the Windows 3.1 machines, and I wanted a larger monitor so was quite proud of my NEC monitor at that time.
I wasn't able to acquire a Mac until 2.5 years ago. I'd planned on switching over entirely to the Mac but I soon discovered the "joys" of having two systems on in front of you at once! I soon began to prefer all of my photo editing work on the Mac, partly because my Windows 7 machine is much older and slower. I can tell you that during this two years my Mac has crashed on three times, when it became unresponsive. I had to restart without saving but when it rebooted (which takes about 20 seconds) everything was fine. My Windows 7 machine, on the other hand, has crashed many times, and had many more problems where it would not boot, or would not shut down and I simply would have to cut the power and try and do a system recovery. I'm a "power user" so I am not uneducated about how to maintain a Windows computer. The Mac just works so much more reliably. I AM NOT an Apple freak. I do not use an iPhone (I prefer Android) and I am not planning on acquiring an Apple Watch. BUT I do know a good operating system and hardware when I see it, and my Mac is one smooth operator.
Sorry for going on about Mac/PC in the wrong forum, but we sort of touched on it.

  • Windows Deployment Service. Network Profile Radio Buttons greyed out with R2

    Hi All
I have downloaded and setup Server 2008 R2 (not yet activated). I have added the following roles "DHCP Server", "DNS Server", "Active Directory Domain Services" and "Windows Deployment Services". I can PXE boot a test client machine and (using the boot.win from windows 7 dvd) multicast a XP Image to it. This setup is connected via a 100 Mb switch and is an isolated network.
Under windows deployment services - if I right click my server - select properties - network tab "Network Profile is greyed out". I have tried running wdsutil /Set-TransportServer /Server:big /Profile:100Mbps but get the following error message: "Windows Deployment Services Management Utility Version 6.1.7600.16385. Error code 0xC110011F This WDS transport server does not support network profiles.
I have tried this on two hardware setups:
An Intel D915GUX 3GHz 2GB RAM and Marvel Yukon 88E8050 ethernet controller.
    An Intel D965 Core2Duo 1.86GHz 2GB RAM and  Intel 82566DM Network controller.
Incidently I have done the same setup with Server 2008 (not R2) on the D965 and the Network Profile radio buttons are not greyed out. If I upgrade the same test machine to server 2008 R2 the Network Profile radio buttons are greyed out. Is this a design change, does Server 2008 R2 no longer support network profiles as I am now unable to select 10 100 or 1000 Mbs ?
If more information is required or if anything needs further detail please let me know.
    Thanks for any help.

Is there any way at all to manually set or control the network profile? In my environment, a SCCM\WDS multicast stream is bottoming out on speed and network utilization when the stream crosses a Nexus 7009 router. Speeds go from 200 Mbps to 20 mbps. I have
a theory that this "new" automatic configuration is placing the clients in a slow network profile that are on the opposite side of the router and I have been unable to find a way to speed of the transmission. I have also ruled out the "master
client" slowing down the stream buy using different clients only connecting to a stream 1 at a time. I have also ruled out the router as the source of the problem by having a VLC client listen to the multicast stream on the same side of the router as
the slow clients. The VLC client (unknown to SCCM\WDS) was able to receive the transmissions at 20 % utilization / 200 Mbps.

  • Playbook won't charge past 77% and brightness slider greyed out / unresponsive

I have had this 32g playbook for over a year and this problem has persisted, no matter what I've tried. I have hard reset it numerous times and tried several of the suggestions provided on this site. Even at the 77% charge, the playbook battery doesn't last more then 24 hours and I am wondering what exactly is wrong with this device. Can anyone help me with this? I like the tablet and I haven't junked it because I want it fixed, but after a year of this same problem I am at a loss.

I am having the same problems as you do, brightness slider unresponsive and battery cant be fully charged.
I got my playbook as a gift from a friend who works at Blackberry. It's a brand new employee clearence unit and hence there is zero after sale support, I dont know what i can do with it. The battery cant last at all, it's a faulty unit.
Can anyone provide me a phone number that I can call blackberry support?

  • LR3 Blacks out corners in UWA Lens Profile Corrections

    Hello all,
I am fairly new at all this, so please forgive me if this question is ridiculous, but I cannot seem to get to the bottom of a particular issue. I recently went on a trip with a new Nikon D7000 and Sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6. Most of the pictures (all RAW) with the Sigma turned out great. LR3 properly applied the automatic lens profile adjustment for those shots and ironed out most of the distortion. However, one photo turned out very weird. It looked like I shot through a tube, the extreme corners were totally blacked out (think 100% vignetting).
I thought this was weird, especially because it looked ok on the back of the camera. Sure enough, it was perfect when I opened the RAW with the Nikon software (and on the back of the camera) no blacked out corners. Confused, I turned off the auto profile adjustment for the lens on that image and the corners immediately came back. Its an artsy shot, so I am not too concerned about the loss of lens correction, but now I am concerned that some random image will show this problem down the road. I have attached a picture of the jpeg exhibiting the problem, and a link to the RAW so you can try to replicate it. I tried OTHER lens correction profiles and they all worked fine (no blacked corners). Any idea what might be causing this?
    Thanks in advance

I downloaded your image and get the same result. It would seem that the profile is defective. I'll submit the bug report.

  • Slide duration button greyed out

I have imported a sound track to my slideshow in Aperture 3 and everything seems fine except that the slide duration button is greyed out and therefore not allowing me to set slide durations 'on the fly'. Any suggestions on how to make the slide duration button active?

What theme are you using? Some themes require a minimum slide duration to allow for smooth transitions. The "Classic" theme is the most flexible.
With some themes the option "Fit slideshow to main audio track" will disable the "Play slide for ..." button. To enable this individual control again, you will have to turn off  "Fit slideshow to main audio track" if it is active.

  • Deployment Profile items are all greyed out

I am using Jdev 10.1.3.3.0 with Jheadstart. I created an application and started looking at deploying it as a WAR file. I was able to create a connection to the target Application Server with a Successful test connection. The next step is to create a Deployment Profile for the JDeveloper Project. I am following the Jdeveloper Help step 3.
Step 3   Create a Deployment Profile for the JDeveloper Project
Deployment profiles are project components that govern the deployment of a project or application. A deployment profile specifies the format and contents of the archive file that will be created.
    To create a deployment profile:
In the Applications Navigator, select the project for which you want to create a profile.
Choose File > New to open the New Gallery.
In the Categories tree, expand General and select Deployment Profiles.
In the Items list, select a profile type. For ADF applications, you should select one of the following from the Items list: WAR File EAR File
You can also select Business Components Archive, if you are using ADF Business Components.
If the desired item is not found or enabled, make sure you selected the correct project, and select All Technologies in the Filter By dropdown list.
    Click OK.
I problem is that all the items listed under Deployment Profiles are greyed out.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Maybe if I select the right object as the project I would fix my own problem.
    Thanks

  • Sudden Change to Slide Show Display/Presenter View Greyed Out

Two weeks ago powerpoint was acting normally. I would come into class, hook my netbook up to the projector, set my monitor output option to extended desktop and start my slideshow in presenter view. This morning I went into class and I was unable to use
presenter view. It was greyed out. I had to clone the displays and wing it without my notes. Also, the slideshow itself *looked* different. There was an orange menu bar at the bottom that I could not get rid of. Has this happened to anyone else?

    Hi Michelle,
Do you mean the "Use Presenter View" option under "SLIDE SHOW" tab on the ribbon is greyed out for you?
When you are in the "Slide Show" mode, please try to right click on the slide and see if you can select the "Show Presenter View" from the context menu.
Have you ever made any changes to your computer recently? You might want to try installing any required updates, including updating your graphic card driver to the latest version, then try again.
"There was an orange menu bar at the bottom..." - Is it possible to share a screenshot of it with us? You can send the file to this email account:

  • I cannot import a Quicktime file (.mov) which I generated from a slide show out of iPhoto8 in iMovie8 (filename is grey); what did I wrong?

I cannot import a Quicktime file (.mov) which I generated from a slide show out of iPhoto8 in iMovie8 (filename is grey); what did I wrong?

iMovie 08 will only import files that contain codecs that it can edit. It will generally import audio and video codecs that iPhoto generates. However, if your iPhoto slideshow contains a manual advance track, iMovie cannot edit this and therefore will not import. In iPhoto, check to see if you can do a timed advance rather than a manual advance. Then it should import.

  • BUG REPORT - Lens Vignette slider

The Lens Vignette slider only goes from 0-100, but if you float over the slider and use the arrow keys, it carries on going into minus figures, and also records that as part of the history. Other sliders don't show the same behaviour, and the effect of going into minus figures looks like the default setting of 50.

  • Lync 2013 profile picture, the option "Edit or Remove Picture" is greyed out

    Hi
I am using Lync 2013 standard server, with Lync basic client 2013.
the profile picture button, the option "Edit or Remove Picture" is greyed out
how can i solve this problem.
    with get-CsClientPolicy, DisplayPhoto = AllPhotos.
is this the policy issue or client issue?

You can actually manipulate the client policy to have the option to upload a picture reappear in Lync 2013.
You can manipulate the PowerShell script below to apply it to the necessary policy
    $PolicyEntry=New-CsClientPolicyEntry -Name EnablePresencePhotoOptions -Value true
    $currentClientPolicy=Get-CsClientPolicy -Identity Global
    $currentClientPolicy.PolicyEntry.Add($PolicyEntry)
    Set-CsClientPolicy -Instance $currentClientPolicy
    Enjoy !!
