Lens (Tamron 18-270) not available in Lens correction menu

Hi all,
I only see some lenses to pick from in the lens correction menu. According to a list on the Adobe website, my lens (Tamron 18-270) should be included, but it is not.
I am using Lightroom 5 on a Win PC and a Sony Alpha 58 camera. Photos made as RAW.
Any idea where I can find or activate the lens?
Could it be, that the Sony camera does not write the lens information in the EXIF file so that Lightroom doesn`t know which lens I used? But if so, why can I pick several from different companies (Canon, ...) but not the one from Tamron?

There are 5 18-270 Tamron lenses listed if you set the Make to Tamron and scroll up in the list to the top using the arrow at the top left of the list.
There is only one Tamron lens listed, not an 18-270, if you have a non-raw file selected.
Here is what I see at the top of the Tamron list and I just chose one of the 5 arbitrarily. I have no idea which of them is right, if any, for your Sony:

Photoshop CC OSX 10.6.8 Patterns in the Patterns folder are not available from the fill menu? Any help would be appreciated.

Patterns which do appear in the Adobe Photoshop CC, Preset, Patterns folder are not available as a "Fill" option.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you repaired the disk permissions?
You might also try resetting the photoshop cc preferences by:
Press and hold the Shift+Command+Option keys while starting photoshop cc
Keep holding the keys down until you get a dialog asking if you want to delete the adobe photoshop settings file
Press Yes because you do.

Option for saving a file as a pdf is not available in scroll down menu

I've been trying to save a file as a pdf by selecting print but pdf does not show up for one of the options in the scroll down menu. All I have to choose from is Fax, hp psc 1200 series and Microsoft XPS Document Writer. I was able to do this back in November but don't know why I can't now. I have Adobe Reader on my computer.

Create App option not available in drop-down menu

I am unable to access the "Create App..." option in the drop-down menu for the Folio Builder. All options in the drop-down menu are there except for the Create App option. Does anybody know why this is the case?

Oh, I see. Thank you for the quick response. I suspected that may be the case. So, if I may, I would like to ask you a follow-up question: how do I access the App Builder using a PC? I have managed to publish my folio in the DPS Folio Producer, but am unsure of what to do next. I have watched a few tutorials and they work with Macs and neglect to mention any difference between PC and Mac. Is there a resource that can help guide me through this process using a PC?

Tried to update to IOS6 and now my ipad is trying to restore -- getting error "activation server not available" help! Have I lost all my video files?

I was trying to do a simple udate of the ios software. I connected to ITunes and the Ipad screen popped up saying there was an update available. I clicked on the update and it started updating and also there was a message saying it was backing up. But then I got a message to click here to complete the update -- with a restore. I did that and now my IPad is n ot woking at all -- I get the initial startup screen and a message that says "your ipad cannot be activated because the activation server is not available" I've tried connecting to itunes and get the same message -- server not available. The devices menu option is grayed out so I cant sync, backup,, restore nothing.... HELP! please! I only wanted to do a simple update -- now I think I've lost all my pictures and video files -- is there a way to get them back??

Try restarting everything and then try to sync or reactivate. Quit iTunes, reboot your computer, reboot your iPad and then try again.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Browse in Mini Bridge is not Available under File Menu in Photoshop CC

Recently installed Bridge CC and Photoshop CC in Windows 7 enviornment. "Browse in Mini Bridge" option is not available under the File menu. I reinstalled Bridge CC, rebooted, yatta yatta, but no Mini Bridge option. Any ideas how to get it to install/come up?

Mini Bridge is no longer available, so it's never going to show up again. All Flash-based extension panels were removed from Photoshop, and Mini Bridge was one of them. More info here:

Payment method Cheque is not available in IT9

Hi Experts,
I have a query.
In Infotype bank details, under payment method Cheque option is not available in the dropdown menu.
But It is defined in payment method. Even though it is not displaying is there any other settings I have to make.
Please help me to solve this issue.

Payment methods are to be defined in the Financial Accounting configuration menu, where the following steps are to be carried out:
1. First of all, make all specifications that are required for a country-specific payment method.
2. Then define per company code the terms under which a payment method can be used.
All payment methods are displayed in the customer or vendor master record in the screen for selecting the payment method
Kindly check with FICO consultants.

Stacks not available in Collections?

Is "Stacking" not available when working within a Collection? That is what it looks like to me for LR2.
While in a Collection of pictures from a recent trip I selected 4 images. Stacking was grayed out (not available) in the Photo Menu. With those 4 images still selected I switched to "All Photographs" view. Now I was able to Stack them.
Is this a bug?

Not to mention the docs specifically state you can choose filter or use a collection when auto-stacking:
See the "Automatically stack photos by capture time" in the online docs.
Auto-stack is nearly useless unless you can use it on a selection or a collection. Unless I'm missing the point here. I would never want to autostack everything.
I suppose I can try with a filter, but finding the right set of filters without missing something is a but crufty. I already know the set of photos I want to selectively stack up, and they were all taken in the same session, and have been set aside in a collection!
Sounds like a feature that got pulled-back. Apparently, stacks can't work across folders for some reason (according to a user comment in the docs).
And the fact that auto-stack ignores a selection while regular stacking does not is a usability defect in my opinion.

IPhone no longer backs up, backing up not available on menu

My iPhone 3GS is not backing up anymore when connected to my computer, the back up option is not available on the device menu.
How can I back it up, how can I have it restart backing up when the iPhone is connected to sync?

Since this forum was of no help whatsoever, I did some other research myself and found a program called "Backup Switch" available at http://www.microseconds.com/
This worked and nothing here did.

Photoshop not available in 'Tools' menu in Bridge

Hi all,
Very strange occurance for me, in the Bridge tools menu of CS5 - photoshop showed up as an option and I used it to access image processor which in turn opened photoshop and nothing happened.
I restarted both programs and photoshop was then not available on the tools menu of bridge.
I had a problem with photoshop last night and I had to trash the preferences file, is this something I have to do with bridge also?

So in Bridge's preferences, there weren't any startup scripts showing when the problem occurred but when unchecked 'start bridge at startup' and restarted the machine the tools menu once again had photoshop available. All by magic apparently.
Any idea why this magically disappearing then reappearing happens?

I upgraded to PsCC 2014, but Select Focus Area is not available. Why?

I upgraded to 2014, but none of the new features seem available from my menus. In particular, I wanted to use the Focus Area feature, but it is not available from the Select Menu. Is this a common problem?

You don't have an iMac PPC if it is running 10.9.1. PPC refers to PowerPC, which was the CPU architecture for pre-2006 Macs.
To re-enable Bluetooth preference, it is in Hard drive -> System -> Library -> CoreServices -> Prefpanes -> Bluetooth.prefpane. Double click it, and it should appear in your System Preferences.
The Bluetooth administrative utility is also found in Applications -> Utilities, and that may need to be run.

Nikon Lens Not Available?

I'm interested in purchasing a Nikon 10-24mm lens from Best Buy but it's not available on the Best Buy website. Abe's of Maine is one of the marketplace sellers and they do carry it on their own website, though it is currently listed as "backordered". Is this something that Best Buy can order for me? I'd like to use my Best Buy credit card to take advantage of the 18 month financing.
I'm aware that Best Buy does offer the Tamron 10-24mm but I'd prefer the Nikon.

If we don't even have this lens listed on BestBuy.com we would not be able to order it. Given that this is not a new model I would assume we will not be carrying it in the future.
