Leopard 10.5.1 and many program crashes

Since installing the Leopard patch 10.5.1 I have had all sorts of problems. Programmes stop operating and I get a message that says "Quit while unresponsive", images take way longer to load from internet, if they load at all - and I am talking about all the little pics that show up on say - Facebook; in fact - the Facebook home page looks totally different and is unusable, as do other pages.
Suddenly I have had way more problems in 3 days than I have had in the past 3 years!
Any suggestions?
Oh - my first clue was that since installing 10.5.1, iPhoto automatically loaded or attempted to load all my photos upon re-start.
never did that before either
Oh - and just in case I should be able to change my operating system in the box below where I am writing this - after all there is a triangle - I can't = it still says "Mac OS X (10.4.10).

I'm not even sure if my problems are the same as anyone else's. I don't get specific errors, but Mail, Safari, Transmission, Full Tilt Poker App, and anything that uses the network causes my MacPro to behave like my crappy old PC. I get rainbow ball of death constantly and have to PowerCycle at least 3-8 times a day depending on how often I use my network.
Won't automatically crash, but Mail just stops out of the blue, Safari will become unresponsive when loading a plugin like flash (YouTube for example), transmission will just stop, same with all net-based apps.
Only error I get through Activity Monitor is that the UserAgent(something) is not responding and is red.
I need my bootcamp, and Time Machine is too useful. I need a fix very soon!! Anyone else going through this?

Maps, Weatherbug, and other programs frequently crash then take you to the home screen.
I've restored my iPhone, but the prob still occurs.

Really curious thing started happening to me a couple days ago - Mail, Safari, and other programs will just crash without warning - and without a dialog box of any sort. Like they were never launched - and it happens on things like when I add attachments, or go to some webpages that I used to go to without problem.

There are a few things to try here.
1. Do a Hard reset of the phone, hold the Home and sleep/wake button down until you get a apple logo on the screen. If issue continues go to next step.
2. Reset network settings.. Settings>General>Reset> Reset Network settings (This will power cycle the phone)
Does the issue continue after both of these steps?

Safari and other programs crashing constantly

Just picked my Macbook Pro from repair at the Apple Store.
I had the logic board replced and the top case due to water damage.
Laptop has always worked fine, unitl then. I've got it home this afternoon and Safari, iTunes etc. all quit instantly or a few moments after opening.
I tried fixing this by updating OS X to Moutain Lion 10.8.3, but no luck. Everything is up-to-date etc.
Help is much appreciated. I hope I've not wasted money on this repair that could have gone towards a new machine.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Step 2
Still in the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports for crash reports related to the process. The report name starts with the name of the crashed process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents — again, the text, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.

In PSE8 organizer, freeze selection and also program crashes.

Since the first installation, the organizer always crashes. Tried to uninstall it many times, but not working. I also rebuild my computer and make sure that I have the latest up-date. I have also the problem that, if I click outside the menu inside the organizer window, I'm not able to select anything. I'm only able to change photo by using the arrows. ???? I tried to troubleshoot using the guide but ...no go... Did someone have the same problem and how you have fix it? I'm discourage. I always have pse before and I had no problem. You might have a 3rd party plugin that isn't compatible with Safari 4.0.4. Go here for help...

If you are using a USB hub, try disconnecting and restarting with just your keyboard and mouse connected.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
from the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.

It contains fixes that might help. Then repair disk permissions.
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

Many programs I used to use in Tiger doesn't work in Leopard

Here are the ones I've noticed have not been working or have errors:
iMovie
iChat
Yahoo Messenger
Adium
VisualHub
There are probably like 10 more but I haven't seen it yet. Why are so many programs are acting like this. I was thinking it was becasuse it wasn't ugpraded enough but I did install the newer version and it doesn't work.

Well, haven't we had to deal with a slew of updates every two years?
And at least Vista x64 is probably more secure, supports EFI (UEFI 2.).
The same people that would need a Mac Pro (dual cpu, 8GB RAM, etc) would be looking at 64-bit.
Did not Apple tout the G5 from IBM as finally being a 64-bit system? But yes, even Adobe CS3 is still 32-bit and limited to 3.5GB of user space, which there are work arounds for.
One person I tried to help was using Maya but his version doesn't work with Leopard, and blames Apple and 10.5 it seems, rather than realize he needs to consider an 8-core system rather than 4-core, more memory, make better use of disk and RAID, and of course... upgrade software or... WAIT FOR MAYA AND 10.5.x to catch up to each other!
People assume you have to wait for SP1 for Windows, but think they should jump rigtht in, when we all have seen that X.3 is usually the first "sweet spot" in any release.

Since moving to Maverick and the new updated of Keynote, I have a constant problem when typing in a text box, the program crashes. Is there a bug fix for this. Drives me nuts.

This is most annoying. Is there bug fixes for this. Apparently I have the current updates and this problem still exists. Is it a Maverick bug or Keynote.

I switched to Apple Mail in the last two months. When I attempt to print an email message, I get a blank piece of paper. When I attempt to use the print options suggested in "Mail Help", the program crashes and has to be reopened. Any ideas?

Which version of Mail are you using as well as which Snow Leopard version you are using?

Can't open and Office programs since loading Leopard

Since upgrading to Leopard I cannot get any Office programs to open. I get an error "Microsoft has encountered an error." Then it gets stuck in a loop trying to load the file.

Many MS Office programs are not Leopard compatible - others need to be updated, either with patches or with newer versions.
Sometimes removing and reinstalling them works.

The Yosemite upgrade very often damages existing Photoshop installations. Thank Apple for that.
You need to uninstall and re-install Photoshop, then apply all the Photoshop upgrades from scratch.

Programs Crashing with Snow Leopard

Since I've updated to Snow Leopard, I'm having massive problems with iTunes and iWork '08. All of my programs (iTunes, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers) are crashing on launch with the error "Program quit unexpectedly." I'm not getting an error code.
I've tried the following:
iTunes: uninstalling/reinstalling/updating, deleting library, launching with another user profile on same computer, deleting preferences.
iWork '08 programs: updating, launching with another user profile, deleting preferences, disabling duplicate fonts.
With all programs I have tried going into the activity monitor to get more information, but the programs crash so quickly that I can't get any more information.
Any one got any ideas?

Oh, realy? When last time you used Windows? In the middle of 90's? Get a PC with Windows Vista or 7, you will understand that IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO MAKE a 64-bit Mac with Blue-Ray, HDMI ports etc. 2009 is the year of Macs TOTAL END. Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.
Do you have an iPad 3 as well? And is yours not experiencing any issues close to mine?
