Leopard Date in Menu ?

I have been using iClock for several years but when I installed Leopard, I’ve had problems with it.
‘My question, is there a way using preferences to show both the Date as well as the Time in the Menu Bar ?

photolab,
Apart from third party apps, here are a couple ideas:
You can play around with date formatting as shown here:
http://lifehacker.com/software/mac-tip/display-the-date-on-the-menubar-316029.ph p
and here:
http://creativebits.org/macos_x/date_and_time_in_themenubar
The downside, is that it effects formatting system wide, so while you may like the results in the Menu Bar you may find you don't like them elsewhere.
Also, with Leopard, the iCal icon in the Dock now displays the correct date even if the application is not running. I've gotten used to just glancing at the Dock to see what the date is and the Menu Bar to see the time.

  • Data Manager menu option

In BPC 5.1, I had a Data Manager menu option in BPC for Excel and now it has gone. Is there some criteria that must be satisfied for an Application to enable the Data Manager option? Or might I have switched Data Mnaager off somewhere?
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Al.

About what version are you speaking?
BPC 7.0 interface is the same with BPC5.1 regarding DM.
If you are not able to see some option that's measn or the client installation was not correct done or you didn't set correct the profile for you user into BPC.

  • OEM - Data Guard Menu is not visible

    Hello guys,
at the moment i am trying to install and configure Oracle Dataguard in our test environment.
Because of some easy managing of Data Guard i want to use the OEM Data Guard interface in the OEM. So i configured my local OEM on my test database and started it.
I login with SYSDBA privileges to the local OEM on my test server, but i don't see any Data Guard menu.
I go to Maintenance -> High Availability and the last point that i can see is "File System Backup and Restore" .. but the help of the OEM says:
File System Backup and Restore -- Backup or restore the database file system.
Data Guard -- Use Data Guard to protect critical data by automating the creation, management, and monitoring aspects of standby database environments. I don't see any Data Guard menu point in my OEM.
The documentation of the Data Guard .. says the same:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14230/install.htm#BABFHFEI
To use DGMGRL, the best practice is to install the Oracle Enterprise Edition or Personal Edition database software on each location you expect to include in broker configurations. You must install Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control to use the Enterprise Manager Web-based user interface for Data Guard.
The DGMGRL is available. Am i doing something wrong?
UPDATE!!: The problem is solved.. i justed mixed up the ports between database and grid control :-\ .. it is working now

  • How can I get Time Machine to restore a Leopard date on a Snow Leopard Mac?

I just got a new winter 2011 MacBook Pro. I want to load up the date of May 30th via Time Machine, but I've run into a few errors. The biggest one being that it said Snow Leopard cannot use an older OS Leopard date. Therefore, I used Migration Assistant, which said it was a success after a 2-hour transfer. What do I do after that? It did not load the May 30th OS.

I think the only way to do what you are asking is to first reinstall Leopard which will involve erasing the disk first before you can install the older version of Leopard. Once you have done that then you should be able to do the restore you are asking about.
Since that is probably a significant amount work to do the restore, exactly what do you hope to gain by doing this? If you will share with us the problem you are attempting to solve, maybe we can come up with a easier solution for you.

  • Can I have mavericks time machine on one partition of a WD  external hard drive and snow leopard data on another

can I have mavericks time machine on one partition of a WD  external hard drive and snow leopard data on another

If you want to and it is so large that it has room (350% is a good estimate for TimeMachine), then use a partition(s) to hold system restore images or bootable clones. Or VM images.
Using SSDs most Mac Pro models can easily hold 6 or more storage devices inside, except the nMP cylinder 6,1's;  which do need external Thunderbolt and USB3.
System drive / data / scratch / backup data / backups of system / ....
I recommend a couple system backups, especially when faced with dual boot situations as well as an OS that is still undergoing updates and changes.

  • Change Button from Mobile Data Entry Menu

Hi, as we know, we can start the mobile data entry menu via t-code: LM00, my question is, how to change the button sequence, or add addition button, or remove button from the mobile data entry screen...
    Please kindly help.
    Best Regards.

You do this with configuration.  You need to setup a menu, attach the menu to a queue and then the queue to a user profile.
    Go to SPRO,
      Logisitics Execution
            Mobile Data Entry
                  Define Menu Management
Here create the menu,  Give the menu name and for each transaction you want on the screen you assign a different tcode.  Say you have 3 transactions tied to this menu, this means that you will have 3 buttons on the initial screen of LM00.
Back out of that, and now go to "RF Queue Management"
Choose Define Queues from the menu,  Create your queue .
Now go to "Assigne Processor to Queues"  Here create a record for your user and assigne the queue and the main menu.  Now when this user logs on and runs LM00, you should see the buttons that you just configured.

  • Date in menu bar

Not sure why but the date does not show in my menu bar. I've been to System Preferences and selected Show Date and Time in Menu Bar but only the day and time shows, not the date, e.g. April 18. Any ideas?

Yeah, your right. That's a new feature in Snow Leopard. Instead, got to http://www.islayer.com/apps/istatmenus/ and download istat menus.
When it installs in system preferences, disable all the menus except for "Date and Time" By editing the "menubar layout" you get very extensive options for how to display your date and time.

  • Can I set up a data-driven menu box to have a default value?

I'm working on building a little webpage that lets user's
    update one column.
So, for this column.. I have setup a drop-down box giving
    choices (from a table).
I'd like for the box's "default" selected value to be the one
that is already choosen in the table...
How can I get this to bind?
Example: Each row need to get tagged as "lost", "won", or
    "unsure".
I need these three choices to be in the drop-down (easy -
    already done).
But if there is already a value of "won" for that column,
then I want the drop-down to say "won" as it's default.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks so much!!!

It looks like that VBScript already has this capability built
    in.
    <%If (Not
    isNull((rsContact.Fields.Item("ContactNumber").Value))) Then
    If
    (CStr(rsNumber.Fields.Item("Number").Value) =
    CStr((rsContact.Fields.Item("ContactNumber").Value))) Then
    Response.Write("selected=""selected""") :
    Response.Write("")%>
    ><%=(rsNumber.Fields.Item("Number").Value)%></option>
This markup is comparing the current value of the data from
    the
rsNumber.Fields.Item("Number") recordset to the value of the
    data from the
    rsContact.Fields.Item("ContactNumber") recordset, and if they
    are the same,
it is writing the selected attribute to the field -
    Response.Write("selected=""selected"""). Is this not working?

  • Can you set the 'time, day, AND DATE' in menu bar ?

I note that the DAY and Time are in my menu bar (top line of screen), I would find it more than handy to be able to have the DATE also there , there has GOT to be a simple answer ?????.
I am having fun learning a 'new' (to me) system....the wife is now a computer widow !!!
    iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

Click the Time - greyed out date.
Just like a real wife -
they don't tell you everything unless you ask ... in the right way.

  • Time and DATE in Menu Bar

How do you display BOTH the time and DATE in the menu bar?

    Greg
Here is one way: Date and Time in the Menu Bar (10.3, 10.4).
If you are not keen on the command line, you could try this from macosxhints: 10.4: Easily add the date to the menubar which I think some people have used successfully.

  • Cannot display date in menu bar

For some reason, my computer (in OS 10.3.9) will only display the date & time in the floating window (by checking the box to display date & time and selecting the button to display in window thru system preferences), but won't display the date & time in the menu bar (even though it should since the menu bar button is selected in the system preferences).
This seems to be a bug in OS 10.3.9 that has not been fixed yet. Has anyone had this problem and been able to fix it?
    Thanks

Hi ndl! And Welcome To Discussions!
From March 2006 MacAddict magazine p.56
    Open Terminal
At the prompt, type or copy & paste
    defaults write -g AppleICUTimeFormatStrings -dict-add 2 "MMMM d, y hh':'mm':ss' 'a"
    Press Return
    Then type killall SystemUIServer
Press Return again, and your menu bar will disappear.
Click anywhere on your Desktop to reload it.
This setting only affects your User Account; other users on the Mac will not see the change.
To restore your menu bar to normal, repeat the process, omitting the MMMM d, y part in the first Terminal command, like so:
    defaults write -g AppleICUTimeFormatStrings -dict-add 2 "hh':'mm':ss' 'a"
    For Tiger 10.4.x
Easily add the date to the menubar Mac OS X Hints
    For Panther 10.3.x
Add the date to the menubar clock Mac OS X Hints

  • Moving snow leopard data from from old iMac time machine to Yosemite

I have a pre-2007 17" iMac running 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.  Time Machine is used to backup this machine.
I plan to buy a new iMac or Mac Mini with Yosemite, and would like to move some of the data from the old iMac to the new Mac machine.
Can I connect the new Yosemite Mac to Time Machine and selectively restore data from the Snow Leopard backup?

    This solution worked perfectly (almost).
Tips: don't forget to deauthorize old computers for itunes content lol.
The folders copied over easily, and lauching each program, a few prompts and each had pulled in my old data easily. I noticed one currupt picture that I'll look on my old machine to find. I plan on verifing quantity of music, photos, etc to double check. And iMovie was having a lil trouble opening, hopefully thats resolved with my gbs of unedited videocamera movies. Otherwise easy.
I noticed my iweb didnt import, so I probally need to find it in documents or something.
Thanks for all the help. Hope this helps someone else.

how do i get the long format -- i.e., Sat. Mar 5, 08 AND the time -- to show in my menu bar? as the help menu suggested, i pulled up the date and time window and specified the long format in international but the menu bar still only shows Mon and the time but no date. many thanks, steven totosy

Thank you. I will try this method when I have the courage. There was a cut and past technique with time and date in international preferences which I read as a tip which I could easily do with my MacBook Pro but not with my wife's. I can't find that reference now.
