Leopard Install Deleted iMail Accounts and Archive
I just completed a Leopard upgrade. It completely eliminated all existing mailboxes I had in iMail. I lost all mailboxes and anything that I had not backed up in the past week to an external drive is gone.
Is this normal? How can I recover the lost week? Or can I?

OK, sounds like you want to reimport your Tiger database, but also preserve the new contact info you have created already on Leopard. This will take a lot of steps but it should work. Please make a backup of the AddressBook folder (path shown below) before continuing!
Here are the steps:
1 - Quit all applications
2 - Open a Finder window and go to (home folder)/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/
3 - Drag AddressBook-v22.abcddb (the Leopard database) to the trash
4 - Make sure the AddressBook folder contains AddressBook.data file (the Tiger database)
5 - Rename the Metadata folder (you could call it Metadata.leopard for example)
6 - Launch Address Book.app (this will import the Tiger data, create a new Metadata folder, and fill it with the Tiger contact info)
7 - Wait several minutes for the Metadata to be written out, then quit Address Book
8 - Drag AddressBook-v22.abcddb to the trash again
9 - Go into the Metadata.leopard folder that you renamed in step 5
10 - Copy all of the files in that folder, and drag or paste them into the new Metadata folder that was created in the AddressBook folder
11 - Launch Address Book.app again

I think you have to turn off Private Browsing.
Tap "Private" on Safari Screen to disable Private Browsing. When top of screen is white, Private Browsing is off.

It is my understanding that if you delete the account per the instructions below, you will be able recreate, but you will NOT have access to the prior BBM contacts.

You have to remember either the BlackBerryID password, or the secret question answer. Without either, you're stuck.
Your choices are:
--Use another email account to create an entirely new BlackBerryID (with which you will lose access to any purchased apps using the "forgotten" first BlackBerryID, or
--Find the initial email you were sent to confirm the initial BlackBerryID, and in it is a link to click to cancel and delete the account. Click on that, delete the account and then you can use that same email to create an entirely new account.

hello, this is a scam tactic that is trying to trick you into installing malware, so don't download or execute this kind of stuff! as you've rightly mentioned, you're already using the latest version of firefox installed and you can always initiate a check for ''updates in firefox > help > about firefox''.
you might also want to run a full scan of your system with the security software already in place and different tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes], [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner] & [http://www.kaspersky.com/security-scan kaspersky security scan] in order to make sure that there isn't already some sort of malware active on your system that triggers these false alerts.

I delete an account and tell my notes not to show in the mailbox but each time I close the mail program or restart the computer the mail account comes back and the preferances reset.
I have deleted preferances. I deleted the account using the - sign in system preferances. I make the account inactive, close mail and relaunch and it is active. I have using the email and installed a new ssd system drive. I was able to change some of the mail program settings but then it just quit letting me change and save them. When I delete it in the mail program, it asks it I want to remove it for good, I say yes.See:

How do I move my iMail accounts and settings to a new mac when both machines are running Mountain Lion?
On the destination Mac, I have two mail accounts that I want to keep, so essentially I will be adding another 4 accounts (from source mac) to the exting 2 accounts (on destination mac). How can this be done?If the request above is too difficult (no replies??), then can someone help me with moving my mail & settings between the two Mountain Lion machines (the 3 mail accounts from the source machine to be moved to the new mac - the 2 mail accounts on the new Mac can be trashed if required - simple move from one machine to another)? Is that easier??

Without realizing it, my daughter and I are both using my icloud account for our phones. Now I cannot go to the cloud without importing all of my daughter's data to my phone. Is there any way to remove her data from the icloud account or delete the account and start over? I plan on wiping her phone clean and having her create her own account with her own email address
Be sure she signs out of your account before wiping her phone. Also, make sure Find my iPhone is disabled before you wipe it..
Unfortunately, since you have "merged" her data with yours, you will need to delete each unwanted item individually. If you delete the account, when you sign back in with the same account the same data will be synched back from iCloud. -
Mail on my iPad 2 has stopped working since the latest update. The symbol is on the screen in its' usual place but it either opens briefly, just showing the blank framework for Mail before suddenly quitting, or all the App symbols disappear completelly from the screen. I'm not confident that i know what to do! If I delete the account and reinstate it will I lose everything that was there before? Looking at an earlier question along the same lines it doesn't appear that that would make a difference. If I reset the whole thing will I lose all my documents, photos etc.?

1.Double-click the Home button.

Help! I upgraded my iphone 4 to ios 6 and now one of my two emai accounts - my work account - no longer receives/sends emails. I checked my e-mail settings and they were correct. I then deleted the account and tried to re-add it, per discussions in other forums, and it won't verify the account. In addi tion, there was previously an Advanced section in the e-mail account setting, and now there isn't - don't know if that is part of the probem and the phone needs additional information that it's not asking for anymore . . . I'm beyond frustated. Many hours of lost productivity. Any suggestions? Can I got back to the previous version? I was thinking of buying new phone in next few months, but if this is resolved I'm leaving Apple.

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever. -
gmail on iphone was working fine until yesterday when it prompted me with the message "cannot get mail user name or password for gmail is incorrect", i have tried deleting the account and re-created a new account, same problem, can anyone help?

Set it up again. If you didn't delete anything from the mail server, everything should sync right back up.

Download the yahoo email app, if you already deleted and reinstalled the email account and still have issue.

1. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view
2. Swipe up on the screenshot of the app you want to exit.

I have Files HD on my iPad, and when I open a pdf in Files HD and hit the "Open In iBooks" button, it adds the pdf file to my iBooks app (as it should). My problem is that when I delete the pdf from iBooks, it appears to disappear, UNTIL I open anoth
