Leopard newbie looking for The install video
Hi everyone, just finished installing leopard on my machine and since I moved away from the computer I didn't see the first boot video... Is there a way I can see it in my HD or on the install DVD?
Also I remember in tiger I could move icons (wifi, bluetooth, ...) in the menu bar with a key combination could someone remind me what the keys are.
Thanks
The leopard installation intro movie is on youtbube. The one on your harddrive does not have the sound flattened with it.

To move the menubar icons you 'Command + Drag' them into the oder you like.

I threw the program away. I need to have it on my computer. Is there anywhere I can find the download for mail for mac. I have looked for the install disks to no avail.. Can anyone help me?
There is nowhere that you can download it from. You need your Mac OS X install disk. If you can't find it, you'll need to replace it. Then you can install Mail from that disk.

Hi Everyone,
Can I force the bootcamp wizard to skip looking for the bootcamp drivers? I have already downloaded the latest drivers and loaded them on a FAT usb drive. All I want is for bootcamp to create the partition and allow me to install windows 8 pro.
The bootcamp drivers have been downloaded from apple's website. Filename: BootCamp5.0.5033
I have a iMac 27" late 2013 model.
NOTE: I have downloaded the drivers manually from apples support site as the bootcamp wizard fails third of the way through the download.
Appreciate any assistance.
Regards,
asdutoitThere is a missing point in this thread, and it is that the Boot Camp drivers for the Late 2013 iMac can only be downloaded from Boot Camp Assistant. The Boot Camp drivers available in the Apple site are not compatible with that iMac.
Delete the Boot Camp drivers from the USB drive, open Boot Camp Assistant and try to download the Boot Camp drivers again. If you get a message telling you that they could not be downloaded, I would try reinstalling OS X through OS X Recovery, by holding down Command and R keys while your Mac is starting up -
How can I use pdf pack to convert cubase documents (music scores) into pdfs? I am looking for the former possibility to install acrobat like a printer but i don't have this option with "pdf pack". Can you help?
Hi mariab,
What format are those music scores (I'm not familiar with cubase documents). But, it may be that Adobe PDF Pack doesn't support that format. In that case, Acrobat is the way to go. You can then print your files to PDF as you'd like. You're welcome to try Acrobat for free for 30 days to see whether it's going to work for you. If you decide it is, and you'd like to use it going forward, you could convert your PDF Pack subscription into an Acrobat subscription.
Best,

I had a friend airdrop a video to me last week from her iPhone and I saw it on my iPhone after the upload was complete. I'm looking for the video now and can't find it anywhere on my phone. Where is it and/or is it stored on my phone?
I airdropped the video again and it now shows up in my camera roll.

i'm looking for the adobe suite 5.5 and it says it will only work on leopard or snow leopard... but i'm running on lion... anyone know what to do here?
Hi.
I'm guessing that you'r not buying a new edition of the Adobe Suite 5.5.
Apparently Adobe haven't been awake to make sure the 5.5 is 100% compatiable with Lion. However, I do believe it's only a few minor troubles you will experince and Adobe constantly update their software to adjust to Lion.
You should go to Adobe.com and see the list of known issues.
Best regards. -
I had to change the computer I have iTunes installed on, my iPhone is still looking for the old computer to sync over WiFi. How do I change the WiFi computer associated to my iPhone?
Hi Terri571,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
See these steps for setting up Wi-Fi syncing between your iPhone and new computer:
iOS: Syncing with iTunes
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1386
Wi-Fi syncing
Open iTunes
To set up Wi-Fi syncing, connect your iOS device to your computer with the included USB cable. Select your device under Devices on the left-hand side.
In the Summary tab, select "Sync with this [device] over Wi-Fi".
Whenever the computer and the iOS device are on the same network, the iOS device will appear in iTunes, and you can sync it. The iOS device will sync automatically when all of the following are true:
The iOS device is plugged in to power
iTunes is open on the computer
The iOS device and the computer are on the same Wi-Fi network
While the iOS device appears in the left-hand column of iTunes, you can select the content tabs and configure sync options.
Click Apply or Sync to sync the iOS device.
If the iOS device does not appear in the Devices section or you are unable to sync, please see this article for troubleshooting.
Best,

Leopard Driver for the X1900XT Video card?

If the PC was made before 2005, there are probably no graphics drivers available for W7 or Vista. -
Looking for the *.ppd file for an HP P1102w printer (to install in an eCS system (=> OS/2)). (.ppd means
PostScript printer description, applies even if the printer is _not_ postscript.; available for most printers
but isn't on the CD!) Can anyone point me to the file ?
John H. LindsayThe LaserJet P1102 models are 'host-based', which means that they do not understand any of the 'traditional' Page Description Languages (PCL5, PCL6 (a.k.a. PCL XL), PostScript).
So unless your eCS system (whatever that is) has knowledge of the (various) proprietary and model-specific host-based languages, I don't think that a printer description file would help at all. -
I'm not much of a computer person and when I tried to update the program it wouldn't process it and is looking for the Adobe_Lightroom_X64.msi file.
Has anybody had the same issue and a possible fix?
Thank youUpgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
Snow Leopard General Requirements
1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
2. 1GB of memory
3. 5GB of available disk space
4. DVD drive for installation
5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
fees may apply.
6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
terms apply. -
Getting the name of the installed video card
I'm trying to discover if exists any way in java to get the name (ATI, nVidia, Creative) and other properties (version, memory size,...) of the installed video card where the jvm is running.
Thanks in advance,
JoanDefinitely not directly with Java APIs....
2 approaches...
1. get another external program to do the work for you, and export it to a text file.
then you parse then text file.
On WinXP, there's a program called msinfo32.exe in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSInfo
type msinfo32 /? for a list of command line options.
Looks like you can route it to a text file.
2. Write a low level JNI library in native Windows C++, which somehow finds that hardware specific information from the Windows API.

Satellite U500 (PSU9ME) - I'm looking for the Windows 7 display driver
I'm looking for the video card driver U500 PSU9ME. My operating system Windows 7 32Bit
Please help me ..OFC my INF won't work because it is for nVidia g210m. You need to add Hardware ID of your display adapter, that can be found in Device manager, to the INF and try again, replace my PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0A74&SUBSYS_FF401179 with yours, other modifications + new drivers for 310m could be required.
I still don't understand why you installed x86 version of windows when laptop came with x64 with all drivers on it, and all of them can be downloaded from toshiba site.
Install Windows 7 x64 and you won't have these problems. Other option is Windows XP x86 if you NEED 32 bit OS, and I can't see why... -
Looking for the right application.
What is the equivalent of the Notepad on the Macbook Air?
I am supposing you are looking for a text editor, and NOT a word processor.
I was one looking for an equivalent, and found some difficulty in finding one. IMHO, Apple devastated TextEdit with the advent of Lion. They added "features" which removed its ability to act as a simple text editor. For a while, I simply installed a copy of the Snow Leopard version, but was on the lookout for a super-simple editor for editing txt files, and not adding any formatting, paragragh styles and other features which can ruin batch and text files. I also did not want anything which littered the disk with "versions".
If you are truly looking for the closest equivalent to "Notepad", I have found an app in the Mac App Store, curiously called "Notepad", a simple TXT Editor By Kupon.BG Ltd. It is even better than Apple's old editor.
Just do a search within the app store for "notepad", and select the first entry...the one by Kupon. Or use this link. -
How do i find a recent backup from on icloud. i don't want to restore on my iphone, just view on my Pc and keep as file. looking for pics and video i recorded thanks
The password is set on the WiFi router providing the service, by the owner of the network to prevent unwanted "guests" accessing the network. The only way to know it is to ask the owner permission to use the network. Otherwise, you have to find a free WiFi hotspot that doesn't require a password.

For X, for console, etc..
Edit:
MPD supports Icecast also, to create streams.
