Leopard upgrade says I don't have OS X 10.4, when I do

Please help. I am attempting to upgrade my mac mini but can only get passed the language preference. A window then opens telling me I am not running on OS X 10.4. I have 10.4.11.
I have already upgraded a new macbook so I know the disk works.
Any suggestions?

Is this a full retail install disk and have you deleted anything from your /Library/Receipts folder?

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

If you edit your account and add your paypal or credit card info it will use that instead. Or go to the store and get a small iTunes gift card ($10) and add that to your account.

What machine are you running on?
As far as I recall, Snow Leopard's memory requirements were 1GB of RAM. All Intel-based Macs have shipped with at least that much, so I don't understand how you have a machine that doesn't have enough memory.

If any apps do not see the camera try other Mac User Accounts (create one if required).
IF that does not seem to get any app to see the camera check the System Profiler. (Should be under Hardware > USB)

ITunes update wiped out my music and apps. When I got everything back, now it won't sync. It says I don't have enough space on iPod. I have more than enough.

I Updated itunes and it wiped out all of my music and apps. I had over 4500 songs and had to reload. Some from backup, some from cd's. Now when I try to sync my IPods and IPad, it says I don't have enough space to sync. I know I do because I have less now than when I would sync before all of the nice update.

Depending on how you recovered the library iTunes may see the restored files as "new" content and not match them properly with what is already on the device. See Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash for the way I would normally approach the issue. You may need to manually backup and then restore the device in order to fix things.

Working on that now. Tech support is not normally available on weekends. You should contact them as soon as the weekend passes and pick up where you left off with them.

In general, you don't need drivers for camcorders on Macs, and the .exe file you downloaded is a Windows program, which won't run on a Mac unless you also have Windows installed.
It would help a lot if you tell us the exact model camcorder you are using, and what application you want to use it with.
Regarding iTunes, the latest version is iTunes 11. You need to have OS X 10.6.8 or later to install iTunes 11. Your profile says you have OS X 10.4.11, which is a much older version of OS X, so you won't be able to install iTunes 11. (Here are the iTunes 11 specs.)

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to move everything to your new computer.

What version of iPhoto do you have installed? Is if one of the versions shown as not compatible in this screenshot?
If it is then go to the App Store and download iPhoto 9.5. It will be free if you have an iPhoto 9 or later verson currently.
