Let me reset my ----- SKYPE ---- password

Okay so I don't know what the hell is going on with this messed up useless system you have going on here, but I got locked out of skype for some insane reason since I didn't change my password (hell it stopped on autoload!). And when I go to get my password reset by sending the email to my linked account...
It resets my microsoft password!
Seriously WTF. They use different passwords! Why in the flaming hell would resetting my microsoft password help? If signing in with it that way worked, sure, but that option hasn't worked since it's been installed. Let me reset my damed skype password please for gods sake!

I lost my password, and when I went to the "forgotten password" section I get a message telling me that a mail will be sent to the email address that was used to create the account. Now, that email address was a previous work address, so I dont have access to it. i can open from face book ID I can change my password .is there any other way of reseting my password?

Cannot reset skype password

My Skype acc was compromised and I have two questions please:
1. where can I check my recent login info? ip, location, date and so on?
2. I am trying to reset my skype password. I have tried to reset it through my skype profile, there are two acc related to my acc - one is skype acc and another is my Microsoft acc(I have merged my skype acc with my microsoft acc years ago). I could not change my skype password because I could not remember my old password, I have been using my Microsoft acc to log in for years. I also tried to click "I have trouble log in" on the login window, but everytime it redirects me to microsoft password reset page!! Now I did reset my microsoft password, will the hacker still be able to log in with my skype username and password?
Please I need instruction to reset my skype password if they still could!
The whole reset process is so confusing and fraustrating!!!

Skype won't let me type in my password!!!

Whenever I try to log into skype, I keep getting this odd login box, as to the regular one. It won't let me type in my password or even change my username. I've tried to uninstall and re-download numerous amounts of times, but it didn't help. Any ideas?

What you are seeing now is the new login window introduced with Skype 5.5. The new login procedure requires that a functioning Internet Explorer with enabled JavaScript is installed on the computer. You may try with resetting of Advanced and Security settings in IE. You can also do this by applying the Fix It from this Microsoft site:

If nothing of this helps, then the following procedure will return the old login screen:
Quit Skype. Make sure that you don’t see any Skype.exe processes in Windows Task Manager. If necessary, then stop these processes. Open C:\Program Files\ folder. If you have 64-bit Windows then it should be C:\Program Files (x86)\ folder. Find the Skype folder and then Phone. Right click on the Skype.exe file and select: Send to – Desktop (create shortcut). Right click on the newly created shortcut and select the Shortcut tab. In the Target field you will see now: "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" (or with (x86) if you are on 64-bit Windows). Click with your mouse on the text in the Target field and move your curser one space after the last quotation sign and add the text /legacylogin. The text in the Target field should now read:
"C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /legacylogin
Click OK to save the changes. Start Skype using this new shortcut. Can you now login to Skype?

Never Receive Skype Password Reset Email (verizon)

Quite honestly, the Skype password reset process is by far the worst I've ever seen... I have, over the past few weeks, requested a Skype password reset upwards of 30 times which never arrives to my Verizon email account (no it's not trapped in spam). Want to call Skype? You could contact iTS and ask for a hint on what your rescue email really is. You probably forgot.

HAD TO RESET MY AOL PASSWORD AND NOW MY BLACKBERRY WON'T LET ME SEND EMAILS.

I had to reset my AOL Password and now my Blackberry won't let me send send emails. I can still receive them but can not reply either. Went to setup to change AOL password there and it wouldn't take my Blackberry Password ID. So I clicked on "forgot password". It said it was sending my password to ######(my cell number)@vzn.blackberry.net Where is this??????? How do I find it?

We all need access to our email and we're happy to help make sure you are able to use your email account. Are you receiving a specific error message when attempting to send emails? Have you attempted to remove the AOL account entirely and the re-adding it? How did you attempt to reset the password? All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

I have 1 skype account and 1 microsoft account. Both are registered to the same e-mail. They are not linked because i can't remember my skype login password. When i try to reset the password for the skype login i need to enter my email and then i tries to reset password the microsoft account not the skype. How do i reset my skype account password?

When you sign in to skype, do you write a user name (like "freakalis") or do you use a mail address
(like [e-mail removed for privacy and security])
AND
are you sure that you don't have TWO skype accounts? one with a normal user name, and one created using your micrsoft account. (have you tried logging in to skype using your microsoft account)?

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.

Don't have Skype password, can't login

I'm trying to login to skype, I know my name but don't know the password. I clicked the button to recover the password which reset my Microsoft account password (?) Now I can log into my Microsoft account, but then it asks me for my Skype password to link the accounts which I don't have.
I tried to recover the SKYPE password a second time and it says that I can only do that once every 24 hours.

Every mail account has a password. So lets start at the beginning.
Have you added your account to Thunderbird?
Do you know the email password issued by your mail provider? If not ask them!

I have a TBI. Password security is hard for me. How do I find someonne to let me use my own passwords w/o writing them down or storing them on a computer??

I have always used the same 3 passwords for everything. 3 are too many for me. I forget them and need to reset. Now, I can no longer use passwords I know and can remember. The new requirements for length, types of characters and stuff is really hard. I came up with a good one, but because it was new, I forgot. Then they say you can't reuse your passwords! Everytime I forget, I have to make-up something new to forget.
I have a request for reasonable accomodation under the ADA. I need an exception on my account that will let me use a recent password. I do not mind going through security questions. I can remember the answers to those! I am disabled. I need this assistance for account accessibility. I do not believe accomodating my problems from traumatic brain injury would be unreasonable.
Apple can't pay for enough peoople to actually do customer assistance, I guess. They just think we all have the same issues, they've heard it all before, and you can hunt and find your answer. This forum was all I saw that could lead to human interaction about this.

There are a few applications out now that may be able to help you out. 1Password and LastPass are both password vault or lockers. They allow you to save passwords for applications and websites. That way you have a single password you use to keep the vault/locker secure and then all of your other passwords are stored for you so you don't have to write them down or try to remember them all.

Is there a way I can just pay apple to reset my restrictions password?

I have forgotten my restrictions password for my my iPad air. I tried restoring it but It is save to icloud and won't let me reset/change it. Is it possible that I can just pay apple to fix it? I also have the same Apple ID on my 5s and restrictions is not on so there not a problem there and my ipad two and thee have restrictions turned off to. Well, i haven't accessed my itunes account for more than 7 months because my old computer was dropped and it broke. Now i finally got a new laptop. Then when i downloaded itunes and signed in to my account, i tried listening to music but a notification popped up and said my account was disabled. I changed my password but itunes still wont let me play music.
