I hope I'm not over stepping the forum's bounds here, but I'd like to see some of your work you've done with FCExpress.
Here's a quickie I did with video I took off youtube and still from using google.
I put this video together as my way of saying Thank You to those who fight for the freedoms I enjoy everyday. Seems appropriate on Thanksgiving!
I didn't spend a ton of time on it and could have done more if I had the time. Things like using Livetype and photoshop / layers and filters... but here it is.

Before anyone asks.... Yes, I shot the background red in water look. I had a large container of water with white paper behind it. Then I put red food coloring in the water and let it roll for a bit.
I think it came out well enough.

Want to see what can be done with a Java and specifically a Java3D application. Go to the Java3D forum and download the application "Free Java3D Demo Application".

Go to system preferences, mission control, and unselect "Show Dashboard as a Space". While you're there, you may want to make dashboard set to a hot corner "Hot Corners" button at the bottom.

Why is background black and text black so you cannot see what you are typing

Why is the background black and the text black. You cannot see what you are typing or read the text of posts?

I'm not sure what you mean by the background and text being black. The sidebars are black, but the text is supposed to show up on a white background. I haven't seen this, nor has anyone else reported this issue yet.
Can you give more information where you see black on black text so we can try to correct it?

As a troubleshooter, I've always been amazed at the number of files people stash on their desktop, number of installed applications, number of installed plugins, etc... Some people try to fill their hard drives to an extreme. The lesson learned here, which I hope to pass on to anyone reading this tip, keep it simple. Only install what you need, and nothing more. Archive away anything you wish to keep for posterity, but don't just let it hang out unless you might need it right away. Backup your data religiously, and remember to keep at least two copies of your data, and preferably at least one off site.
For every added driver, font, plugin, and widget you might find one that doesn't work well with another, or one that may not have been tested with your operating system. If you don't ensure they are known to work well together, you are building what is idiomatically called a "house of cards" or "jalopy."
And the more you add, the more that can go wrong. The more you add, the longer you'll spend the time of you or your troubleshooter solving problems. And remember, time itself is money. So be careful, and only add what you need to your system. Practice good judgement. If unsure if something extra is necessary, ask on the board.

You can verify on the [http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ Adobe Flash Players Test Page] that the Flash plugin is installed and working. 
You can also check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" and on the about:plugins page, open that page like a website via the location (address) bar.

HERE IS WHAT I HAVE DONE.
All i am trying to do is insert a simple piece of audio what
am I doing wrong. Is it my browser pluginfolder? I dont think so
because flash shockwave mp3 mp4 midi wave avi mpeg wma quicktime
realtime everthing plays outside dreamweaver is it dreamweaver
plugins? I have downloaded flash and shockwave from this site via
manually install plugins from websit preview in design view. Is it
that my folders are just not configured correctly? Why do i get
these errors please please please help some one has to know...
here is what i have being doing .
1. Made a folder and called it webwork.
2 Made a folder and called it imagies
3 made a folder and called it media. I have put the media
folder in the imagies folder the imagies folder in the web folder
so Im left with one main folder.
4 I have defined dreamweaver site as follows. local
rootfolder (webwork) c/documentsandsettings/myusername/webwork
default imagies folder
c/documentsandsettings/myusername/webwork/imagies
5 on starting a web page I call it my webwork1.html and save
it.
6 I import a converted media file from flash encoder put it
in the media folder along with an none converted media file just to
see .
7 I goto insert media shockwave or insert plugin or insert
flash( look in webwork imagies media select the file (my tune)
8 When I try to play this in design view i get the error
message (unable to find media that handles this media type
dreamweaver looks in both the configuration/plugins folder and the
plugin folders of each of your web browsers)so i copy my web
browser plugin folder and put it in my webwork media folder still
nothing
9 When I view it on my browser the media icon(shockwave)
disapears and the puzzel icon appears (plugin) when i click the
plugin no plugins are found
10 When i do this process through flash button paper or text
and load it up to my web browser it downloads the tune and plays
away via my plugin winamp5?
11 All I want to do is to emmbed a tune so you have the
option of playing it stopping it (but not downloading it to listen
to) why cant this work for me? Is there a fault with the browser or

Acrobat X, seeing what % you print

In Acrobat 9, you could see how many % a page was shrunk (is that a word?) to fit on an A4 page. Like this (in Swedish):

The reason to why I want this:
We get dimensional drawings on our units from many different suppliers. They all save them as pdf:s in different sizes. OK, we can use the "Anpassa" (fit to page) above, but the thing is that it's so easy to forget to set it back to "Verklig storlek" (real size). EVERYTHING else we print should be in "real size". If we print what we produce ourselves in the "fit to page" setting, it comes out in 94 % size.
So I open all dimensional drawings and check the "fit to page" setting and see what % it says. Let's say that the result is 68 % as given above. All would have been well if I could print it in 68 % (print it in fit to page size), but if I do that, parts of the frame are not printed. So if the answer is 68 %, I want to print it in 65 %.
Now with Acrobat X I can't get the percentage, so I have to try and try and try until I get a good print. That takes a lot of time. Is there some way I can see this in Acrobat X? Or do I have to install Reader 9?

But it also shows the % of scaling when the page is fit on your paper size as this shows:

I started using Logic Pro a few months ago, and I've purchased the training books. I've been working on this for about 3 days now and I know my voice isn't a singing voice, but I don't wanna use anyone else's voice until I've mastered the program .
What I'm looking for here is things to improve on; things I can add to make it sound better. How I can continue the song, I only have the instruments that come w/ logic, and I just go through each one, play the song and hit a few notes to see if the instrument sounds good and if it doesn't i continue looking (I'm still learning how to edit the sound of each beat as well as using plug ins). What method do you use to combine instruments? What's the general rule? (Do they have to be the same pitch?) I'm also having trouble switching up the beat (as they do in all songs) I'll start the song out w/ 3-4 tracks that I'll be happy w/ then after about 10-15 seconds it's time to add something new to the ear yet it never seems to piece together right for me. Any advice would be soo appreciated!

What you're looking for it seems is some subjective input on how to write a song. Given the huge variables involved, I don't think too many people here will dive into it detailed responses given this board is more focused on the mechanics of using the software, not the creative process.
That said, I use Logic because of the enormous amount of possibilities it puts at your fingertips, and what you are doing by just trying something, then moving onto try something else to see if it works better IS creative songwriting and not a bad way to go about it. Don't worry so much about the process, learn the tools and just do it until you come on something that sounds right/good/gels. Then "save" and back it up.

When I try to submit my podcast I receive the error "We had difficulty downloading episodes from your feed." I don't understand what's wrong. My feed is "http://sleuthcast.tumblr.com/rss".

Your episode media file is hosted on Dropbox, and you've evidently placed it in the area intended for your own storage, judging by the error page which it leads to.
Dropbox does do webspace hosting, though this isn't what you are using: but you would be advised not to use Dropboc - it really isn't suitable for podcast media files. There have been numerous problems with it reported on these forums.
You should host your media files on an ordinary website server. You need to check before committing to one that it can handle 'byte range requests' - this is the method used by iPhone for accessing these files (by requesting part of it at a time rather than the whole thing) and it's mandatory for being in the Store. If the service you are considering using doesn't confirm they can handle this (and I might add the Dropbox doesn't) you will need to go somewhere else.

I shall wait until Kaspersky URL addon and virtual keyboard are available before upgrading. Why not let us see what addons/ extensions are available for each upgrade without having to download each and uninstall again?

I have 3.6. It works fine for me. Kaspersky link filter and virtual keyboard are on the toolbar.
I have upgraded twice now, but each time these and other extensions are not available for the version. So I uninstall and go back to 3.6.
As you are having this spate of upgrades, it would be so much better if we could know what extensions are and are not available before we upgrade.
Why not build the upgrades so that extensions work?

Same problem here too. Curious to see what could be causing this. It has been happening for me for the last two years (South Park). Not too big a deal but it would be great for the auto download to work properly.

The last V I A chipset PC I bought was for 10p.
This included an 8x cdrom, floppy, LAN card and sound card, so they paid me to take the V I A off them. :D
Since then, before the nForce, I built PCs based on Aladdin's Magik1 Rev. C Not bad, very stable, OK price.
But the nForce gave me far more than those Aladdin boards ever did for my money, and I'll recommend them to anyone thinking of building a PC. note i said a PC, not just AMD based PC :D
What would REALLY be cool, however, is to see an nForce-based dual-CPU board.
Imagine the IRQ possibilities and the sharing of processes to run all those onboard things across 2 CPUs. That machine would ROCK!
