Yep. Some phones came out with Jelly Bean 4.1 that was fine until 4.2 came out then it was garbage "Where is my 4.2?" then they got 4.2 and then they said "Oh 4.2 bricked my phone can I roll back to 4.1? 4.2 is stupid." Then 4.3 came out then "Where is my 4.3?" then they got 4.3 and then they said "Oh 4.3 bricked my phone can I roll back to 4.2? 4.3 is stupid." Then 4.4.2 came out then "Where is my 4.4.2?" then they got 4.4.2 and then they said "Oh 4.4.2 bricked my phone can I roll back to 4.3? 4.4.2 is stupid." Then 4.4.4 came out then "Where is my 4.4.4?" then they got 4.4.4 and then they said "Oh 4.4.4 bricked my phone can I roll back to 4.4.2? 4.4.4 is stupid." Now it's going to be "Where is my lollipop?" then if they got it and they will say "Oh lollipop bricked my phone can I roll back to 4.4.2? Lollipop is stupid."

The Android Market is for Android phones. To download apps for the iPhone, you need to use the iTunes App Store. Software for the Android OS is not compatible with the iPhone and vice versa.

  • Is there any sample Android Native App using MBOs?

We are building a native android application using MBOs (SUP 2.1 ESD#2).
We are able to register the user but not able to synchronize. We are following the "Developer Guide: Android Object API Applications"
Is there any sample android native application for this scenario?  Only sample available now uses OData SDK.
    Thank you

Transaction examples for IIOP are in the works for the next release.

It appears that is possible to have distributed transactions across RMI-IIOP
    clients and RMI-IIOP applications (servers).
I am surprised by the note:
Note: These code fragments do not derive from any of the sample applications
that ship with WebLogic Server. They merely illustrate the use of the
UserTransaction object within an RMI application.
The above note suggests that there is no sample code available.
Is there any sample code that illustrates RMI-IIOP applications (servers)
    participating in distributed transactions?

  • An Open Letter to Verizon about Android 2.2 and Fascinate

                                                                            March 12, 2011
    Dear Verizon,
I purchased my Samsung Fascinate phone from one of your stores last September.  I distinctly recall the sales rep saying that Android 2.2 would be available within the next 2 months.  As everyone knows, Android 2.2 is much anticipated, particularly due to its support of Adobe Flash.  We are now into the second week of March 2011, and there is still no Android 2.2 available.  It is particularly frustrating that Android 2.2 has been pushed to other Samsung Galaxy S phones, but not to the Fascinate.  I believe that Verizon has really dropped the ball on its customers.  Another source of frustration is the fact that Verizon has steadfastly refused to provide any sort of information on when, or if, Android 2.2 will ever be available for the Fascinate in an official, supported form.
I would like Verizon to do the following:
    1)      Give us an estimated release time (not necessarily date) for Android 2.2
    2)      Inform Fascinate customers on what the technical hurdles are and when and how they should be addressed
    3)      Or, be frank with your customers and tell us you don’t want to be bothered anymore with the Fascinate
If you want an idea of how badly this whole Android 2.2 non-availability issue has damaged your relationship with your customers, I suggest you log onto your online Forum for Fascinate Users.

I installed the verizon leaked 2.2. Everything works perfect, including flash. Same UI as we have now. Phone is better in every way. I will include the link so you can do the same. Very easy, don't be scared. Enjoy

I really like Adobe Reader for annotation of pdf files on an external microSD cards in phones and tablets. Android Kitkat took access away. Android Lollipop gave it back.

Thanks for your request. We have noted it down for consideration.

  • When are Verizon and Samsung going to be releasing Lollipop (Android 5.0) for the S5?

I am anxiously waiting.  I've been reading for the past few weeks that S5 owners in other parts of the world (Poland, the UK, etc.) have been updated to Android OS 5.0 (Lollipop).  When will Verizon and Samsung be making this available in the US?

In the USA, Lollipop is the slowest release ever. I was reading a major android forum about it. They said its because of all the issues with some of the firmware vs software and carrier added software that they are testing testing testing. With all the issues that hapopened to motorola droids on the move to kitkat, you could see why Verizon is going slower this time to roll out lollipop to devices that came out awhile before Lollipop. I personally would rather wait and have my phone keep working than to add Lollipop and have the thing brick on me or have all sorts of errors......

  • Adobe reader is not letting flash videos for android at this time what am i going to use with my android phone now?

i went to Adobe Reader to download flash player for my Android phone and they are nolonger supporting android phones . what can i do? so that i can watch my email videos?

Some people have suggested installing the last version of the Flash plugin that worked, but due to lots of security bugs in older versions of the Flash player, this is hard to recommend.
Could I suggest asking on a forum specific to your Android device? You can find those on many sites now, but the one I generally visit is [http://forums.androidcentral.com/ Android Central].

I would like to sync my laptop and android but get the above message

To install Firefox from the Android Market web site, you must be logged in to the web site and your phone using the same Google account. If that doesn't work, you can follow the instructions here for other ways to install Firefox for Android: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android

  • Is there an APK android app downloader for Firefox? Need to download via PC then copy to a non-internet connected tablet for installation

I have two Android tablets that are not connected to the internet (long story). I'd like to download Android Apps via my PC and copy them to my Android tablets. I do not want to use the Chrome APK extension for a variety of reasons. The apps I need are free, but without an internet connection, I can't obtain them. They are not available for direct download from the developer sites.

Read the question again FredMcD, he was asking for ways to download .apk files on computer to then install them on Android tablets.

  • Lollipop Android 5.0 Update For Galaxy S4 --- WHEN???

The Lollipop upgrade has been pushed to Samsung S5, Note 4, and Note 3.
I heard that it has been pushed to the S4 in India and Europe ...  WHEN WILL THE VERIZON push the update to the S4 in the US???

Verizon doesn't announce proposed dates for updates to their phones. One day it will just be available to download. You have to hope that Lollipop for the S4 will go a lot better than it did for the S5. I for one will not jump to the chance to update my S4 until I see what is happening to those folks that do update right away.

  • Let there be sound! (HP dv3500/dv3510nr)

I was having trouble getting sound to work on my laptop (an HP dv3510nr), but adding the "model" information for ALSA got it functioning correctly.
    options snd_hda_intel model=hp-m4
Add the line above to /etc/modprobe.d/sound and sound should now work!

Can you share it on the wiki (if its not already there)so that others who have the same problem can find it easily
