Level Indicator

The audio level indicator (LE 7) shows very low volume during record but plays back at normal levels.
How do we set this meter so we have a more realistic reading and better signals to see for editing?

  • 7D Mark II Exposure Level Indicator missing in Manual Mode

    Hi guys
I just put my hand on the long awaited Canon7d mark ii; I was all excited up until I found out that there was no level indicator (horizontal) as it should be, on Manual mode. Weird thing is, all the other modes have the indicator illuminated except in Manual mode, which I believe is the mode whith the greatest need for it. To make matters worse, the vertical level indicator is far off to the right, and not very bright as well. C'mon Canon, you have a great product, but seriously!

    Firmware won't fix it.
And "the cop out or excuse" (nice - let's call it the reason) is that this is how it's done in the 1D-x and earlier pro bodies - and if it's good enough for pros, we should be able to adjust, eh?
    Took me about ten seconds.
and I soon to notice how anoying this is for many photographers,
Says who? You and one other guy on an under-used forum which is self-selecting for complaints?

  • SmartView - Line ID - Level Indicator Please HELP

Im looking to create some flexibility in(excel) my smartview reports that allow the user to see the upper most level or lower level. They wont have Smartview access so need to use excel's functionality.
What I want to do is have a line Id that distinquishes between a low level and high level. And then use Excel subtotaling features to display the way my customers want it displayed.
Need level indicator in the report like I show below that I can utilize in excel. Does smartview have a setting that will show the level indicator..
    Example
    Line ID Account Amount
    1 123(Salary) $500
    1 456(Bonus) $500
    2 Subtotal $1000
    Thx

So, Hyperion doesn't have level ID's that you can use in Smartview to distinguish the different detail levels?? The weird thing is that it allows you to select what level of detail you want to see so you would think
it would have to have an ID to deselect certain levels...
    thanks

  • Customizing Fill Level Indicator

    Hi!
I want to customize a fill level indicator (tank). I´m not very experienced with LabView.
The main problem is, that I don´t know if it is possible to create an indicator with a curved upper part.
The attached picture shows an example, how I want the indicator look like. The left side should be the indicator,
from the lower bar to the upper bar. The normal bar seperates the left side and the right side.
Later the right side should also be an indicator if it is possible.
Is it possible to form  the upper part of the tank like shown on the picutre and if it is, how can I realize it.
If not, I thought about creating an array or ring with about 100 pictures, each assigned to a certain fill level.
Is it a good idea or is it too complex?
Are there any other ways to solve the problem?
    Thanks a lot,
    Martin

The difficulty is to find an application able to manage transparency. On Macintosh, it's fairly easy, but I had some difficulties with Windows. Search for "Import transparent picture" on this forum.
The attached vi is an example of what can be done : create a picture with a transparent part corresponding to the tank shape. Paste this picture on your front panel, above a wide slider, and you are done.
I'm not sure that my example will look good on a window machine, there may be white zones where I applied transparency. Works fine on my Macintosh.

  • Officejet J6415 ink level indicator

    Hi,
I had a J6413 which was getting the "scanner failure" message. Took it in for repairs and got a J6415 as an exchange unit.
The problem now with the J6415 is that the ink level indicators on the control panel or via the HP Device Manager (on Mac) does not show the correct levels.
The black cartridge was almost empty. When I inserted it, it showed as full on the control panel and via the device manager software. After doing some research and contacting HP Support, I did a partial reset. This caused the ink level indicator on the control panel to show as a "?", for color and black. Both levels then appear as empty via Device Manager. A full reset changes the levels to full again, on both the control panel and Device Manager software.
Any ideas? As a last resort, I will take the printer back, but that leaves me without a printer until it gets repaired. Been trying to find a solution before having to take the printer back. The person I spoke to at HP Support suggested that I should use the printer as is, and maybe the ink levels will show correctly after a while. Doubt this will change anything.
Using the printer showing the "?" now. Tried partial resets (# & 3), full resets (# & 6), and the power cycles, but no luck. The levels have changed between full and the "?".
Anybody else experienced the same, and more importantly found a solution, other than taking it back for repairs?
    Thanks:-)

Just configure your printer again.Uninstall your driver and then again install it.You may be get your solution.

  • MacBook Pro battery level indicator is stuck at 100%

Got this MacBook Pro in January of 2008. Great machine, replaced battery last spring and more recently had some sort of repair done when the screen would not activate. No problems otherwise.  Now all of a sudden my battery level indicator is stuck at 100% regardless of actual battery charge level. The computer will allert me that it needs plugged in immediately or it will go to sleep, but it would be nice to have the indicator working again. Any ideas?
    JG

    If it's a pre-unibody MBP with a removable battery:
    1)  Shut the computer down
    2) Disconnect the Magsafe AC adapter
    3)  Remove the battery
    4)  Hold the power button down for 5-6 seconds
    5)  Reinstall the battery.
    6)  Connect the Magsafe adapter to power and turn the computer back on.
This will reset the System Management Controller.  One of the SMC's functions is reporting of the status and remaining charge of the battery.

  • Green level indicator no longer works in soundvol.exe

    Hi ,
I'm trying to screen capture a game for reporting, but the sound recorder says it has -127 db level set.
The windows soundvol.exe mixer no longer shows the green level indicator either.
The two things I have done recently is ...
    1. installed a Microsoft cordless 800 mouse and key board( I uninstalled the microsoft keyboard and mouse center but it made no difference).
    2. Upgraded the System drive to a SSD drive.
The sound volume seems to be working fine, but I can't capture the speakers output anymore and the level indicators are non existent in the sound mixer app.
Any ideas on what's going on would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards
    Bernhard

  • Battery Status Level In Desktop Manager Does Not Agree With Battery Level Indicated On My Curve 8330

I just got a new Curve 8330 from Verizon.  It came with a Desktop Manager 4.3 disc.  I installed it, but then learned that version 4.7 was available.  I uninstalled 4.3 and downloaded and installed 4.7 from RIM.  When I started to charge my Curve via USB cable to my PC, the Desktop Manager showed a battery charge of 37%.  My Curve was 100% charged later in the day, but the Desktop Manager still indicated it was only 37% charged.  I uninstalled 4.7 and reinstalled it, per advice of Verizon.  Then the Desktop Manager correctly showed a battery charge of 100%.  But as I used my Curve and used up battery to a 50% level (as indicated on the Curve), the Desktop Manager still showed a 100% charge.  A minor glitch with the Desktop Manager software?  Any solutions?  Thanks.

it's a glitch. The(false) value can be updated by going into the Help menu if I recall correctly.

  • Using VI server to obtain parent level indicator reference.

    Hi Folks,
I'm just starting to make more use of the Application and VI server of late, and so I'm not fully up to speed with how things are supposed to work.
Basically I have a top-level VI with an indicator, and two parallel subVI's. We'll call them GUI and ACQ.
Right now I am able to get TOPLEVEL to pass the reference of the indicator to GUI, and GUI uses a property node to update it's value.
My dilema is then how can I get ACQ to also pass that same static reference to GUI? Is there a way to obtain the reference of a specefic 'parent' indicator without explicitly/staticly passing it (ie vie terminals/wires, or other).
Just FYI the indicator is a string debug message window, and the 'passing' is done via queue's.
Thanks for your time, I know this is likely a very basic question.
    Kindly,
    Jamie
    v2009 devel. w/RT

Ton: Thanks for the reply - that was exactly what I was looking for, the sequence/nesting of properties to get the control ref.
Lynn: I am interested in hearing more about your main VI topology. The reason I needed the reference was because the subVI handling all of the display updates is inside the GUI subvi - thus I can not update the toplevel indicators without using global variables. I did this *primarily* to try and keep the application uncluttered (see below screenshot). This is a project re-write with over 100 globals and case statements sometimes 12-15levels deep.
Anyway so in the screenshot you'll see the event structure responds to a boolean event, which presents a dialog. Once the info is entered, the event passes a 'changenotice' to the MAIN queue. The main queue stores the data for later calculations in the shift register. Lastly it reports to the GUI VI that the config has changed. This is not exactly a good example for this layout, but it allows any subvi process to communicate with the GUI.
My problem arose in the ACQ subvi. For example the MAIN state machines queues a channel configuration to the ACQ. Rather than having the MAIN subvi report this in the message log, it would be desirable to just have the ACQ handle this mundane function. So each 'process' handles its own reporting, logging, etc unless it needs to report outside.
You'll notice it somewhat mimicks expressionflow's QSM design.
I welcome any suggestions, this was just my first stab.

  • Battery Level indicator is eratic

This weekend my MBP battery indicator has been acting very eratic. I put the machine on charge. Take off the power cord and it shows 100% charge, but says i only have 1hr 5 mins of usage. Yet as recently as yesterday that would show 3 hours plus. As im typing this post the indicator has risen back from 42 mins remaining to show 50 mins. (oh scrap that it suddenly dropped to 46mins again) I have 69% of the charge remaining. The indicator on my battery is showing 3 1/2 lights.
Do i need a new battery? Is it normal for a battery to go from full performance to this without any period of decline?
    Any help appreciated.

You might try resetting the SMC and calibrating your battery:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1411?viewlocale=en_US
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1490
Your battery should have up to 80% of its capacity at 300 cycles. How old is the battery? They do decline with age as well as with cycles.
Also, check the battery carefully for any distortion, bulging, or leaks. Here is another battery article that might apply if you feel your battery has a problem. It will describe the characteristics of a faulty battery:

  • Battery Level Indicator with Logitech V270

I have the Logitech V270 Bluetooh mouse with my 15" G4 Powerbook. The mouse works great, but in the system preferences under Keyboard & Mice in the Bluetooth section, the battery indicator is greyed out and there is no mouse listed. Is this only for the Apple Bluetooth mouse? Thought it would be nice to see my batteries life in my Logitech.
    Thanks!

    15" G4 Powerbook Mac OS X (10.4.4)

I am using a Logitech V270 with a Mac Mini with built-in Bluetooth.
I have the same issue in the Keyboard & Mouse / Bluetooth preferences; the mouse name and battery indicator are grayed out.
I think the Logitech mouse is only minimally compatible with Mac OS X and its implementation of Bluetooth.
Furthermore, Logitech doesn't have any Mac OS-compatible software to enable button re-assignment on the mouse.

  • Why not an External Battery Level Indicator?

One of the features I really like on my MacBook Pro (and all previous Apple laptops I owned) is the small little button in the bottom of the computer (in the battery) that allow us to see the battery charge status without having to turn on the computer (Press the button next to the lights and the lights will glow briefly to show how much charge is left in the battery.). I found it really useful and allows me not to charge a battery that is already charged.
Anyways, as far as I can tell, the MacBook Air lacks this feature. Can anyone confirm this for me?
I don't think it would be very difficult for Apple to incorporate this in the bottom of the laptop.
    Cheers

You are right, it's not on the MBA.
I do miss it too.... more than the DVD, Firewire or Ethernet jack everyone else complaints about...

  • Low battery level indicated on BT Keyboard

I went several months on the included alkaline batteries that were included on the included Apple BT Keyboard. After that I switched to Energizer Rechargeable (2500 mAh), and since then performance has been very poor. I can put in a fresh pair and I'm lucky if it shows 50% battery life. Constant disconnects, as well as the range of the device seems less. Is the keyboard a demanding device, are these batteries underpowered? I've had no issues with these batteries in other devices, including the magic mouse.

Rechargeable batteries are only 1.2 volts as opposed to the alkaline batteries which are 1.5 volts. It will not show 100%. I just put rechargeable batteries in my mouse. It showed 75% at first. Quickly went to 50% from there, but, they are holding up well since. I plan to use the alkaline in the keyboard since they last a long time as oppose to the mouse.
Try putting alkaline back in the keyboard and see if you get 100% reading. I don't think the keyboard is more demanding, but since it uses less battery than the mouse, I would just leave use the alkaline if you have no problems with them.
