Lexmark 7600 Series reinstall

Here are the reinstall instructions I got from Lexmark Support. Has anyone tried these?
<<We have the driver available online for your X7675 printer to work with MAC OS
10.6 Snow Leopard operating system. You need to delete all software associated
with the Lexmark printer first before installing it again. Below are the steps
on how to do it:
1. Go to HD>Library>Printers and drag the Lexmark folder to trash.
2. Click HD>Library>Printers>PPDs>Contents>Resources and drag the Lexmark
files to trash.
3. Open HD>Library>Receipts and drag the Lexmark files to trash.
4. Click HD>Library>Applications Support drag Lexmark files to trash.
5. Go to HD>Library>Image Capture>TWAIN Data Sources and drag Lexmark file to
trash.
6. Click HD>System>Library>Extensions folder and drag Lexmark files to trash.
7. Empty the trash.
8. Open Disk Utility and then do repair Disk Permission.
9. Reboot computer (it may take a few minutes to boot up completely).

2. Remove the USB cable before running the installation wizard again.

Had something similar with my Prevail 705. I ended up deleting the print queue, downloading the new printer driver from the Lexmark web site, then re-adding the print queue. I then did a software update from finder which installed the latest driver (I thought that was what I had done myself) Now it is all working correctly and I have now got back the use of the scanner etc.

Cannot print with Lexmark 7600 after installing Lion

Since installing Lion I haven't been abe to print. I use a Lexmark 7600 series. I reinstalled the printer a couple of times and I just downloaded the latest software update for the printer. The printer installs and I can see it in my system preferences but nothing happens when I click the print button. Not even an error message. I have tried both wirelessly and plugging in to the phisical printer. My other computer with Snow Leopard still prints without problems.

We had similar problems with a Brothers printer just today. I suspected the driver was faulty but had the same results after a fresh software download from Apple, and one from Brothers web site. I print using a USB cable to my mac and my wife, who is running SL, prints wirelessly through my mac. We switched the cable to her mac, thinking this was a Lion problem, but had the exact same problem you describe above. A call to Brothers coached me through my System Preferences>Print & Scan> to select each printer in the "Printers" window and remove by clicking the "-" symbol. Then click "+" symbol and select the correct driver. Then select that printer as the "Default printer" in the lower dialog window.

Lexmark 1200 Series All in 1 Will not work on my MAC

I recently purchased a Lexmark 1200 series all in one an it will not work. Plug n play doesn't happen so i went through system pref, clicked printer and add printer. It seen it plugged in via usb so i clicked it then it said select drive. The driver for this model isn't there. I did a software update, didn't work so I searched online and cant find anything and neither did the official lexmark site.
Don't know what model mac I have. All I know is its a new mac book so ignore what my OS is.

Lexmark Z510 series

Hello everyone. I've bought a mac pro and I can´t install the lexmark Z510 series driver. On the website of Lexmark it's just avaible until the 10.4.x version of this printer. I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.1. I´ve been looking on topics and I saw that lexmark is working for new drivers for SL. It would be for Z510 series too? Does anyone know? Or if somebody knows a way to install the printer driver please tell me, I can't use my printer and I almost looking for a new one.

Lexmark does not support the X2200 series printer for OS 10.5 or above and I don't think apple does for OS 10.6 or above. I ran into this with my wife's Z515 in snow leopard. could not find drivers for it. Maybe gutenrprint has something. This is a generic print driver. I think you are downloading a windows virsion . Lion does not know how to convert it.

Each time you configure a class with bandwidth allocation or shaping,.. a queue will be used so if you use such card to provide QoS for a lot of subscribers sharing the same interface, you will need a lot of them !!

Heb een probleem bij installeren Lexmark pro series 800-900 printerdriver, apple kan de software niet vinden en raadt aan dit op de site van de leverancier te downloaden, heb ik gedaan, maar de printer werkt nog steeds niet? Kan hem niet toevoegen in afdrukrij, iemand enig idee? Het gaat om installatie op een MBP, OSX 10.7.3. Zowel draadloos als usb geprobeerd, geen resultaat.

Lexmark 9300 series - wiped and not not working when 10.5 installed

I installed 10.5 and when I went to print found my Lexmark 9300 series printer was no longer on the machine. I re-isntalled, but when trying to print from MAIL an error arose about the quality check and created an error message which was sent to Apple. At this point I cannot print at ALL. The Lexmark send a message to the Mac if the ink level is low and this is what caused the failure.

I had this problem too. I bought a full new Lexmark X2550 last wednesday. It worked fine with Tiger. I bought Leopard saturday and installed it… but my "Print…" menu from all applications didn't work (I was just able to quit the application). It's recognized by the system in the Printers preference panel and I was able to print test page with the Lexmark utility.
When I saw the message yesterday from the crash about IJPrintQuality I searched for it and disabled all the plugin in the folder : (yourharddrive)/Library/Printers/Lexmark/PDEs
I just rename the plugins with disabled at the end of their names (like IJPrintQuality.plugin --> IJPrintQuality.plugindisabled)
And now I can print from every applications !
But my scanner in this all-in-one printer doesn't work too… If you have a solution post it !

Can anyone suggest a bluetooth printer adpter that works with the Lexmark 4300 printer series? Failing that, any suggestions for a bluetooth ready inkjet printer?

This is an HP support site, you probably need to look at the Lexmark Support site for information. It appears from the site Lexmark site here that your X7170 is not supported in Windows 8.1.

Compatibility re MacBook Pro (early 09) and Lexmark 7100 Series All in One?

Just purchased a new MacBook Pro with OS 10.5.6. Having difficulty getting my Lexmark 7100 All in One Printer/etc. to work with it. Computer does not recognize Lexmark 7100 printer/etc. and I keep getting messages saying that Lexmark works with OS 10.2.3 and later, not Classic. Of course computer has OS 10.5.6. Already downloaded new Lexmark drivers; did not help. Used this Lexmark with my G4 computer and OS 10.4.2. Is it compatible with OS 10.5.6?

Has it created a virtual printer icon on the Desktop ?
If not then it's not installed or configured correctly. It should work once you've got the settings right ...
(I has one that did work with 10.5 but recently upgraded to a Canon Pixma)
