Lexmark printer driver error

Im having issues with connecting my mac to a Lexmark P4350 printer. I connected and it worked for a while and then stopped. Now it consistantly is in pause mode and an error message that its unable to use the legacy class driver.
How can I resolve this? I tried to uninstall the printer driver but I recieved an error message to say this was unssupported. So i deleted all signs of Lexmark on the printer and then reinstalled without success.
Any helpful comments are appreciated!

no, unfortunatly its still wont print. New error message in the printer log:
Cannot find function pointer USBPrinterClassFactory for factory 90F72EE8-60CD-11D8-971A-000A95A72C48 in CFBundle/CFPlugIn 0x7f9922c788a0 </Library/Printers/Lexmark/2005/LexmarkUSBClassDriver.bundle> (bundle, not loaded)

Hello, We have multiple Server 2003 Print server and are working on testing a Server 2012 print server. We have run into an issue where a PRINTER (type 4, normal) works with our Windows 7 32 bit clients, Windows 8.1 64 bit clients and the
2012 R2 server, but when trying to install to a windows 7 64 bit clients using \\SERVER\PRINTER we are getting the above message. (The printer is not offered currently in the directory).
I have been scouring the Google and Bing and have yet to find a satisfactory description that matches this issue. Nor have I found other information that resolve this issue. Like, blaming this on the spooler or DLL fixes or Reg hacks (applied
on the client side).
Specifically, we have used the native 2012 R2 drivers "Ricoh Class Driver", "HP LaserJet 4240 PCL6 Class Driver" and "Xerox Phaser 6120 Class Driver"
If I use a Type 3 driver from Xerox I am able to print from the Windows 7 64 bit client to the print device, but I was hoping to get all of my clients onto 1 driver. I understand that I might be able to use some sort of WMI filtering in our GPO

Satellite L300 PSLB8C: printer driver error - NT 4.0 blocked

I have recently just brought a new Satellite L300 - PSLB8C 04P01X with vista home premium 64bit installed.
I am trying to install a driver for a printer (ML-2010). In the process, I have encountered these two errors:
'the printer driver is not compatible with a policy enabled on your computer that blocks NT 4.0 drivers'
I have also tried to install the driver in several other different ways, including updating the driver from the device manager and adding a printer from the control panel. Neither methods I have tried accepted the driver that was in the vista package for the ML-2010.
In addition, I encountered the same errors in the process.

If you search a little bit with Google, you will find a lot of links.
Many people have problems with this printer on Vista 64bit.
I have founded a short review via Google about this printer and found out, that for this printer is no 64bit driver available.
On the manufactures website I also did not find a Vista64 bit driver.
Only for Vista/2008 and XP 64bit.
Sorry but I think this is not possible to use this driver with Vista 64bit but in your case I would contact the manufacture of the printer.

Sudden Canon CMFP Printer Driver Error?

My Canon MF8380 had been working fine with my macbook pro (printing wirelessly), and all of a sudden today I am getting an error that says:
"Canon CMFP Printer Driver: Printer is not responding. Check the printer power and connection, and then try sending printing job again."
I have tried the basics - turning off and on the printer, rebooting the macbook pro, printing from different applications, making sure Job Accounting is not checked in setup, seeing that the driver seems like it's acknowledged, checking and unchecking sharing prefs... Not versed enough to do much beond that.
Any advice?

Photosmart C4480 Printer Driver Errors

I have two problems:
1) Some files with complex images print OK in PDF, but on the C4480 have either a large black box on part of the image, or part of the image duplicated further down the page instead of the correct part
2) I cannot print some characters from MS Word Formulae. These are [ ] { }
Is this a driver error? Is there a fix?

I am very frustrated with my HP printers right now.
1) I have an HP Photosmart C4480 that has new ink and over 20 times has asked me to print alignment page, scan page and then still doesn't work! The ink doesn't print my documents well at all, I can't even read them unless its an alignment page!
2) I have a color HP 8500a and this printer also doesn't work except to eat all my paper and then spits out nothing. I am slammed and my two HP printers are on the brink!!! Why isn't there a phone number where an actual customer service person can be spoken with? I have time lines, am a small company and cant' belive how much I pay for my ink and printers only to have been struggling for weeks. What is up?

Unable to load HP printer driver-Error message!

Just wondering if anyone can be of any assistance.
I recently purchased a HP Photosmart 2575 all-in-one printer and installed the necessary software, which said it was successfully installed. However, whenever I boot up the G3 I keep getting the following message 'Unable to load the printer drive, open the applications Get Info dialog and increase the preferred memory size. If this does not help try quitting all other applications or reinstalling the printer software.'
After clicking ok on this message about four times the message goes and I am able to print fine. Just wondering why this is happening. I have increased the memory allocation and also turnt on the virtual memory to see if this makes any difference, but all to no avail. I have also uninstalled and then reinstalled the software to see if this makes a difference, but that didn't help either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS: The printer is connected via ethernet on my router to enable me to print from another machine

Use Techtool Lite or Trash*Desktop (TD may delete Finder comments )to rebuild your desktop w/extensions off. Does a better job than manually & you avoid all the finger gymnatics. You just have to hold down the shift key to shut off extensions.
Restart to turn the extensions back on again.

Uninstall Lexmark Printer Driver

So, I had to install a lexmark s403 ('er something like that…functionally similar) as part of my job.
I don't actually use it. I was troubleshooting why someone couldn't get the wifi-based print server to work. My conclusion was that he was dumb. But installing it littered my hard drive with a bunch of garbage I neither need nor want.
And I can't find an uninstaller or a list of installed files and config changes. I'd rather not reinstall from scratch to get rid of it.
Anyone happen to have a list of files/changes for the install or know of an uninstaller that I can't seem to find? thanks.

Your profile info indicates Leopard and these are the Snow Leopard forums. Either post there or update your info. Printer drivers are usually stored in /Library/Printers/"name of printer manufacturer"/ and possibly a "name of printer manufacturer" folder in /username/Library/.

The Hardware Test detected a RAM problem. Take out the chips and make certain that the connections are clean and reinstall them. Make certain that they are well seated.
If the problem occurs again, test with one chip at a time. Also swap bays if necessary.
Please indicate if you have installed new RAM and if so what brand and the specifications.

Help with printer driver error message after Yosemite upgrade

Hi, I have a MacBook Air and just upgraded to OS X Yosemite Version 10.10. Following the upgrade, I am not longer able to print wirelessly at university. When I tried to reinstall the printer drivers, I got the following error message "The file /Volumes/InstallLibraryPrinter/.drivers/bizhub_C364_101.pkg does not exist". I do have access to IT support, but they were stumped by this error too. Do you have any suggestions for how to fix this, so that I can print again? Thank you for your assistance.

Printer Driver issue

I am using printer HP4000X to generate PCL files. This is an PCL6 printer(HP LaserJet 4000/4000N (PCL6)). When I compiled IFD, i have checked this printer to generate MDF file.
When i generate PCL file in Adobe central with this MDF file and a dat file, the PCL file is getting generated, but an error file is also generated along with this saying "[247]Printer Driver `hp4000x' has not been compiled into this MDF.". Can anyone please help me on this. I don't want this error file to get generated.

Hi, I am running into the same issue using Central5.7linux. I have compiled my template with only two test fields and I have made the .dat file very simple, yet, I am getting the same error:

Problem installing Laserjet 4050 in Windows 7 x64, No driver in Universal Print Driver v5.0.3

I have just installed Windows 7 64Bit operating system. I have be successful in installing several other more recent HP printers in the office. However, my main "workhorse" printer is a HP Laserjet 4050 and I have downloaded the Universal Printer Driver v5.0.3 for Windows x64 - PCL 5 and PCL 6, and in both cases it does not find a suitable driver. The HP download site states these Universal Drivers will work, but I cannot get it to install.
Is there a driver that will work on the 4050 in Windows 7 X64? Thanks everyone.

You're probably getting the "Windows cannot locate a suitable printer driver" error if you're trying to add the driver while adding a printer that is shared over the network. You see, HP's Universal Printer Driver (UPD) doesn't contain the PnpIDs of every printers it supports, so when you specify HP's UPD as the drivers for the network printer, if Windows can't find a match for the printer's PnpID it spits out the driver isn't compatible.
The way to overcome this is to install a "generic" printer locally, using HP's UP driver, and change the port afterwards to point to the shared printer. So, first, add a local printer (that will be using the LPT1 port - make sure no printer is attached!), and click on "Have disk(s)" to browse to and select HP's UPD. Going through the remaining steps should install a locally-attached printer named something like "HP Universal Printing PCL 5" (or "[..] PCL 6"). You'll then go in the new printer's properties, on the "Ports" tab, and click on "Add Port...". If you're installing a shared printer, you'll select "Local Port", click on "New Port..." and specify the path to the printer (e.g. \\myserver\hplaserj) as the port name. Those steps should do the trick.
Last thing: beware, though, as HP's UPD PCL 6 might not be compatible (anymore) with your LaserJet 4050, as they use a PCL XL class number/revision (class 2.1; sort of a version number of the protocol) that is higher than what your printer's firmware might support for PCL6 (should be class 2.0) I know the latest versions of HP's UPD PCL 6 doesn't work with our LJ 4000 & 4050 printers, so you might have to use the PCL5e driver for those 64-bit workstations.

Office 2013 with Lexmark printer - Cannot change printer settings

I have a Lexmark x4650 and I can open the printer settings within all of the Office 2013 applications (Windows 7 64-bit). But after I change the settings to what I want, I cannot exit the printer settings dialog. If I click OK, nothing happens. If I click
Cancel, nothing happens. If I click the X in the upper right of the window, nothing happens. The only way to close the printer settings dialog is to force the Office application to close through the Windows task manager. I've tried re-installing both Office
and the Lexmark print driver/applications with no success. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Does anyone have a solution?

We need to narrow down the issue, to see if the root cause is on Office side or Printer side. Please try below steps for troubleshooting:
1. Try obtaining an updated printer driver from the printer's manufacturer. And update your PC, restart and try again.
2. Try to select another printer in Printer
drop-down list in any Office application, and try again to see if we have the same issue.
Printing is primarily controlled by settings in Microsoft Windows:
3. Please try to print a file outside the Office application, say a .pdf file to determine whether your printer setup in Windows is correct or using the Windows Printing
Troubleshooter.
