LG Ally ~ Any way to get pictures to size correctly as a wallpaper?
With my last phone (Samsung Glyde) i could take any pics i had in Photobucket, upload them to My Verizon, send them to my phone and then set them as a wallpaper. For some reason when i use that method with the Ally the pics are usually oversized and blurry. Anybody know if there is a solution to this?
I've tried the built in "crop" option but it won't let me highlight the entire pic? I have lots of crisp quality pics but when putting them as a wallpaper they don't resize and get blurry. Any help?
Hi. I am sorry you are having issues with your wallpaper and I can look into this for you. It may be an issue transferring from Photobucket to the My Verizon pix place. Try to save the picture to your computer and then login to your My Verizon Pix Place and upload the picture that way.
Let me know if this works
Thanks!

HT1212 any way to get pictures off a disabled iphone?
My daughter's iphone4 is disabled after too many attempts to enter her password. Before we reset it, is there any way to get pictures/videos off the phone first? The phone has never been connected to iTunes.

Luckily, the phone can be synced, backed up, or have pictures uploaded from the camera roll while it is locked.
iTunes will not let you access the phone if it's in a locked state. It will pop up with a message telling you, you must enter the passcode on the phone
Do you have a Mac or PC?
On a Mac anyway, iPhones and iPads are different. An iPad will lock you out as you describe, whereas an iPhone will let you sync, backup, and upload pictures without unlocking it.
I just tested it and it worked fine. Not long ago, we tested it the hard way when my son got a mild concussion, the only lasting effect of which was to make him forget his iPhone passcode (we theorize he had just reset it prior to the accident).
I don't know what happens on a PC. -
On my iPhone 4s, I sent a picture via email and asked to size it down. However, it seems now that the pic stored on my iphone is now forever the smaller size which is not suitable for printing. Is there any way to get the larger size back?
sure pretty simple. make a backup of your current settings
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766?viewlocale=en_US
then restore device from old backup you need pics off of
then import pics to computer

you may need to save pics to camera roll first
then restore the new backup and sync pics back to phone via itunes

Is there any way to get true "actual size"?
The "actual size" view on my new 20" Apple cinema display is only 75% of actual size in all of my layout/image programs. Is there any way to fix this?
I posted a similar topic earlier, but no one has responded.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.I assume you are referring to the 72 point-per-inch legacy standard. The only way I know to get there today is to use an old 21" CRT monitor and set it to 1024 x 768. But I am not really sure you would like the end result. Pretty retro.
Tiger has an undocumented facility to independently scale the UI to any screen DPI (dots-per-inch). There was supporting software for this on one of the developer's CDs. You can read about that here:
http://appleinsider.com/article.php?id=610
Even better is that 10.5 is rumored to have this feature fully implemented. That would be great. It will clear the way for monitor resolution to climb higher without further damaging WYSIWYG, or "actual size" as you call it.

TS3219 any way to get pictures off an iphone 4 that wont respond
iphone got wet and i want my pictures off the phone but it won't respond
You should never try to use it while it is wet.
Hopefully you haven't already damaged it.
If your device gets wet you should:
Power it off and allow it to dry out.
Put it in a ziplock bage of dried rice for 24 - 48hrs. The rice will draw the moisture out of the phone.
DO NOT power the device until it is completely dry. -

I just got a 5s and had taken some pictures. Then I plugged it into my PC and set it up using my previous backup from my iPhone 4. Now the pictures I had taken are gone, is there any way to get them back?!
Sorry no as you wipe the current data when you restore from your backup.

I had backed-up my iPhone and when I try to restore it it says that the back-up is corrupt or the iPhone is not compatible. I had a bunch of pictures that I need from that restore. Is there any way to get them back? I did the back-up to my Macbook
If the backup is corrupt, there is nothing that can be done.
For what reason did you choose to not copy the pictures off the device to a computer prior to attemping an update or whatever caused the need to restore? iPhones are not intended as sole storage of any media. -
I accidentally restored my new phone to an old backup and lost all my new pictures, videos, texts, etc. Is there any way to get them back? I cant find an "undo" option.
Apple isn't here. This is a user to user forum.

Took pictures on new ipod. Did restore - lost all current pictures. Any way to get the others back?
Had Christmas pictures of family and friends. I'll be so sad if I can't them back. You should be importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera, most especially before any update or restore.
If you failed to do this, then they are very likely gone.
You can try restoring from backup -
Is there any way to get your pictures back after updating to maverick?
is there any way to get your pictures back after updating to maverick?
Is Aperture not launching at all? Then update Aperture like Ernie recommended. You'll need version 3.5.1, or 3.4.5 with Mavericks. If you have any Aperture 3 version, you should be able to update for free.
After updating Aperture, make sure you have a backup copy of your Aperture library, before opening it in the new version. Click the Aperture library, to open Aperture on your library.
Or, is the problem, that Aperture opened on an empty library? Then check the file system on the drive with your Aperture library. It may have the wrong formatting. Then move your Aperture library to a drive formatted MacOS Extended (Journaled). Click the -

When I went to sync my iPhone, I accidently hit restore and it made my iPhone have all of the settings of my iPod Touch, erasing my iPhone pictures and contacts. Is there any way to get everything back?
Not to doubt you, but something sounds fishy. I can see accidentally clicking Restore, but to load your Touch's information you would have had to select your Touch's backup file after restoring, which would be hard to do by accident -- unless your iPhone and Touch have the same name?
In any case, your iPhone should have its own backup file on your computer. You can click Restore again and this time select the iPhone's backup file (there should be a device name and date associated with the pop-up window at the end of the restore process). This process will erase your iPhone, reload the OS, and then when you select your backup file then all your iPhone settings, data, sync options, etc. will be re-loaded, including your media (if you auto-sync ... if you manually manage music and video on the iPhone then you'll need to re-select the items you want loaded onto it). -

<Edited by Host>Does she normally sync to the MAC? IF she does, she can restore her phone from a backup, if she has one.
If she doesn't normally sync to the MAC then she can sync back to her PC and then restore to her backup.
If those options don't work then she is sol
