LG Ally, Can it connect to my computer?

I was wondering if I could set up my phone to be able to access my computers data such as browsing and download history, keystrokes and the files stored on my computer.
So like when I'm not home, I can log on to my computer from my phone even if I'm 30 miles away, and then I can check everything that was typed, check the history, see whats downloaded etc.
Is this possible to do or do I have to know some programming crap?

You could use the a service called logmein on both your phone and your computer so you can access your information from either your Android phone or your computer. Hope this helps you out.

  • E4200 Can't Connect 2nd Wired Computer

Installed E4200 with an iMac running MacOS X Version 10.6.8.  Wireless connection works great.  Also connected a wireless laptop without a problem.   But can't connect a 2nd computer is wired.  That is a PC running Vista.  I know the wiring is good, because the E4200 is a replacement router in a network that was working fine.  Is this configuration possible?

So the Wireless works great but as far as wired is concern does your MacOS X Version 10.6.8 works as wired ? Check , is there any Static IP address assigned to your Vista computer If yes then make it automatic and restart your computer ....
In case if there is no manual IP address assigned then check what is the IP address that your computer is getting...

  • HT3819 I can use remote on my iPhone to connect with my iTunes library, but i can't connect to another computer using home sharing to access apple tv.  I have used the same access ID and password that is used for the apple tv.

I can use the Remote app on my iphone to connect with my itunes library on my computer, but I can't connect to the Apple TV using home sharing with another computer in the house.  I am using the same ID and password that the apple tv uses to connect with the other computer.  Also how do I check what version of IOS that my iphone is using?

    Version:
iOS Settings>General About (or it'll say when you hook it up to iTunes)
Are all the devices on the same physical network?  I think you're saying all are set up using the same home sharing credentials.
If you've not done so restart all devices and your router.
If you can get any of the devices connected by ethernet to reduce the wifi burden that may help but to be honest I would not expect simply beoing on wifi to prevent devices/computers appearing in the list.
Does the other computer have any firewall or port blocking software running?

  • Can people connect to my computer via airplay if I use their wifi?

I've always wondered this about the airplay function, and I'm not sure if that's possible because on the top right hand corner there is an airplay icon and when I look through it I can find some AppleTV's that do not belong to me and are from the place in which I use my wifi. What I mean by the question is can they connect without my permission and view my screen without me knowing?
    I currently use Yosemite 10.10.1

AirPlay is a protocol, as you know, that is used to stream a multimedia source from an AirPlay-ready source to an AirPlay-ready "receiver." That source can be a computer running iTunes or an iOS device. The receiver can be an Apple TV, an AirPort Express, or an AirPlay-ready third party speaker/receiver.
As such another computer on the same Wi-Fi network could not use AirPlay to access your Mac's screen or files. That would be a totally different set of protocols. In addition, you would need to enable your Mac to accept these types of requests.

  • Can't connect to shared computer

I am trying to transfer some files from my old mini to my new macbook. I have the folders shared on the mini I want to transfer and can see the mini in the finder on the macbook. The problem is I can't connect. I get an error stating "the server may not exist or is unavailable. Check the server name or address, network connection and try again" Both compters are on and connected wirelessly to my network. Anyone have any ideas of what the problem is? Thanks
I found a work around for this problem. I turned off the firewall on both computers. I'm sure there is a better or the correct way to do this so still any help would be appreciated for the future.

If you are downstream from the router, you probably don't need the firewall on.
Did you set up System Preferences/Sharing on both computers?

  • Can't connect to another computer in network

There are 4 macs in our network. I can connect just fine to 2 of them. But one of the computers I can not connect to. The drive will appear, but when I select it to navigate to a desired file inside, I get the message:
    Server connection interrupted:
    Drive name
    (Disconnect) <this is a button
Why is this happening and how do i fix it?
    Thanks in advance,
    Brad

The IPs may not help... most likely not, but here we are off in cyberspace trying to visuaize the problem, interpret what has been given us, decipher what the other person may or may not know... all with very little to go on.
It's not like the people here that are trying to help have a little black book that says...
    Symptom: Server connection interrupted
    Cure: Click Fix Button

  • How do I fix my ipod touch when the screen turns green , buttons are unresponsive and can't connect to a computer

My ipod display screen only shows a green light and the buttons are unresponsive. When i connected it to the computer , Itunes would not recognise it. Please can you help or seggest things that may help.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Can't connect to another computer on the network with 'good' password

    Hi;
Out of the blue my wife can no longer connect to my machine on our local network using her normal password. She gets the error 'Sorry, the password you entered is incorrect. Please re-enter it' at the login box. In testing her password it seems fine for all else - can log into her machine fine, can log into other computers on our network OK, do administrator things, etc.....just no long into mine.
I can log into my machine from hers using my account info, so the connection is fine it seems. It just won't accept her password for this single action.
Have repaired permissions on both machines, restarted several times, etc. all to no avail. Went to look into her keychain to see if something was amiss there but did not really see anything that pointed to this particular interaction (perhaps it is stored elsewhere?)
Nothing out of the ordinary happened to her nor my machine that I can think of. Her machine is still on 10.3.9 and I'm on 10.4.7.
Scratching my head on this one, so any help much apprecated.
    ~Roger

After considerable testing I've determined that the problem is in the sharing settings on my computer and not the password on the other computer. I've not solved the issue but clarified the questions I have and posted under the 'networking and sharing' discussion in hopes of some help.

  • Can't connect to another computer on the network

Hello. In my office, we are currently trying to upgrade to the new Mac Pros and Leopard. We have one computer setup so far. We constantly connect to different computers to share files, but we cannot connect to this new one. When I open Network in the finder, I can see the computer, but when I click connect, it just says AFP connection status "Looking up 'Comp X'.local.." The computer is definitely hooked up to the network. Why can't I connect? Thank you!

Ensure that file sharing is enabled on all computers, and under the file sharing in the "Advanced" (or maybe "Options" button) settings ensure that "AFP" is checked (there should also be SMB and FTP options as well).
Additionally, try turning off the firewall in the "Security" system preference pane. Set it to allow all connections, and see if you can connect. The Firewall in Leopard is relatively new in OS X, and still has some problems where it denies service to some network functions.

  • Can't connect to XP computer by name, only IP address

Hello. I have a Windows XP Pro computer with a shared folder and a shared printer. When I try to connect using //smb:[computername] to view the shares, the Mac tries for about 30 sec and then says "connection failed. server may not exist etc etc." However, when I use the XP machine's IP address //smb:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, then it works - I get the login prompt, and I can then view the share.
I used to be able to use the XP computer name when connecting in Tiger. Anyone know why this stopped working in Snow Leopard? I have 10.6.1
    Thanks
    David

    try installing Bonjour for windows
Another workaround would be add the computer name to your host file.
    edit /etc/hosts
    add an entry such as
    192.x.x.x computername
obviously replace the entries with actual IP address and hostname of the pc.

  • Can't connect to a computer I can see on the network

I have 4 machines connected to this wireless network. 2 Macs, 2 PCs. Both MACs are running Tiger OSX 10.4.7. The PowerBookG4 using Airport Extreme and the G5 running a direct LAN connection. The wirelss router is downstairs and the G5 Mac is upstairs. I am using a buffalo WLI-TX4_G54HP wireless ethernet converter. It picks up the wireless broadcast signal from the router and provides 4 hard wired LAN connections for the machines upstairs. When I click on the Network Icon in the finder, it shows a workgroup "My Network" and another one MSHome for the PC. From my Powerbook downstairs I can click on the Network/MSHome/my PC and it connects like it always did. But when I click on Network/My Network/G5, I get a message that says..... "The Alias "G5" could not be opened, because the original item cannot be found"
    It offers me 3 buttons...Delete Alias....Fix Alias...and OK.
When I click Fix Alias, it opens a finder window to choose an application to "fix the alias". But I don't know what that would be. If I try to Delete Alias, I get another pop up menu box that says I don't have sufficient privileges to delete that alias file.
Now, if I go upstairs and use the G5, I can click on the Network/My Network/PowerBookG4 and it will mount it up just fine. I just can't get it to work the other way.
    Any suggestions?
PS: This really started to become a problem when I moved the router downstairs and installed the Buffalo ethernet converter. By the way, this is also intermittent. Sometimes it does connect, but at least for the past two or three days, it will not. My printer is connected to that G5 machine upstairs and I use it to print from my PowerBook downstairs.

    Tony,
The dialog box you're seeing is a standard offer coming from OS-X. If you "fix" the alias, the Finder offers you top relocate the original it should point to (thus the dialog box). To "delete" the alias is not possible, as in this case it is a network alias created by the Finder itself...you need to be "root" to delete it but deleting it would make no sense anyhow...so just click OK and forget it!
Onto the connectivity problem : If I understood well, you cannot connect to your G5 unless the G5 itself initiated a network connection. My first thoughts are : firewall...check if your firewall is activated (SysPrefs>Sharing>Firewall) and look for the port(s) of the services you want to connect to in the list it shows...are they "allowed"?
Another trick : Have you already tried to access your G5 by entring its name, for example in the Finder : Connectto>MyG5name.local (.local is important)? It should connect it straight to your machine with no browser interposed.
Keep me posted to your results or enlighten me when I misunderstood your problem!
