LG EnV3 vx9200 on prepaid daily plan?

CAN THE ENV3 BE PUT ON PREPAID DAILY PLAN AGAIN?!
When the LG env3's first cam out, a few of my friends jumped and upgraded to them on their prepaid daily plans cuz env2's suck feature-wise compared to env1 but env2 was modern looking both with it's display and it's physical looks. Env3 was everything good about the EnV1 mixed with the good about the EnV2. By the time i got the money to get one, i couldn't get it on the prepaid daily plan with texting only. I was required to be put on a 64.99 a month prepaid plan instead of the 20 i was paying. so i had to sale my Env3 i just got for 120 bucks. Ended up trading it to a friend for his broke PS3 i fixed and traded for an xbox360. Now I am hearing rumors that the EnV3 is available on prepaid daily plan again! IS THIS TRUE? I'm happy with my cosmos touch right now, just wondering in case my cosmos touch completely craps out.

Minniehaha,
You can use touch screen phones on the daily prepaid plan (99 cents).  I am using my sister's LG Env Touch on my prepaid plan, and my dad has the extravert.  I just switch over to it yesterday.  So Touch Screens WILL work with Daily Prepaid plans.  Usually as long as the phone is retired, and it is a basic phone, it will typically work on the daily plan.
So you could use the Env 1, 2, 3, or touch on daily prepaid or monthly prepaid or what not.
I know this because I'm using the Env Touch right now on my daily prepaid plan :-)!!!!!

Any phone that has a touch screen will not work with a Daily Prepaid plan. Most of the Reps don't understand that the prepaid daily is different than the Monthly Prepaid or the contract phones. I use the daily because I'm a texter and I buy the $30.00 card for 90 days of service so I'm paying $10.00 per month, you can't beat that. Everyone I know is on Verizon  so it works out good for me. If you ever have a question you can put it on the prepaid section of the community site or

Hey ,
I use the daily prepaid plan because all I do is texts mostly.  I was told that I could use my sister's Env Touch on my prepaid daily plan by a verizon representative if I wanted too.  I would assume that you could use the Env 3 too.  I wouldn't definitely call and ask them!! :-)!!  That would be great if you could use it on the daily prepaid plans!!
Verizon needs to make more fancy phones come out for prepaid.....instead of having to have us rely on our sister's upgrades to get her old phones that are better than the new prepaid feature phones hahahaha jk

    Okay,
So it is just AT&T and T-mobile then.
What is the difference between month to month and prepaid? I thought they are the same thing.
For Tmobile with limited iPhone features, will this mean cheaper cost VS. AT&T then?
    Thank you

It the same phone but you don't have to have data on it if you don't want since they are older phones.  We had these phones without data as I didn't think they would be good for surfing the net compared to a smart phone.  Mary

  • Prepaid Data Plan?

I have been using an old iPhone 3g using a prepaid att sim card for almost 2 years now. I recenltly discovered a forum that allowed the iphone to use the prepaid data services. http://http://gigaom.com/apple/how-to-give-your-old-iphone-new-life-with-prepaid -data-and-minutes/ I tested this before upgrading my rate plan and it worked flawlessly. After upgrading my minute to minute plan to the $50 a month unlimited talk, text and data package safari can't connect to the server all of a sudden. Before It was working and charging large amounts of data usage charges to my account. Any suggestions? I already bought the package so I am up a creek without a paddle on this one as of right now.

There is no possible way to make an iPhone pre-paid.
The only suggestion I have is to get a checking account and a debit card and have the money taken from your account ($59.99 a month) taken out.

  • Charged for checking voicemail remotely?

My wife is currently using the 0.99 prepaid daily plan.  After browsing the other posts here, it appears she is not charged her daily access fee when she receives a call and does not answer it.  If she checks her voicemail remotely (say from our home phone), does this trigger teh 0.99 usage fee?

I have the pre pay (not the monthly one) the daily prepay and I have the Core plan and pay 99 cents per call when used, I have been charged the 99 cents for answering my voice mail both by landline and cell. Prepay customers: To access your Voice Mail, press *VM (*86), then SEND. Follow the prompts to enter your password and retrieve your messages. Airtime usage applies for Voice Mail setup and retrieval in most areas. If you press *VM (*86) and hear your own or a system greeting, press the # key to interrupt the greeting and follow the prompts to enter your password and retrieve your messages. So if airtime appies to voice mail it will charge you 99 cents because it considered using air time.

  • Samsung Alias 2 with a daily prepaid plan?

I have an Alias 2 and i tried to get a service only plan but when i tried to do it there was no option for a daily plan just monthly.

Call Customer Service at 1-888-294-6804 it might have to be reprogramed for a daily prepaid. I was told that the Alias 1 was useable on prepay but I don't know about the Alias 2.

  • What is the reason contract phones cannot be used on a prepaid plan?

I originally posted this question in the Basic Phones forum, but I think that may have been the wrong place to ask this.
I am interested in activating a phone on the $50 basic phone prepaid plan, but the phone I tried to activate would not work.  It was the Casio Ravine 2 C781.
I already know that contract phones will not work on the prepaid plan.  I also have already spoken with two customer service reps, and they were helpful, but they could not answer my questions.
What is the actual reason that basic feature contract phones will not work on the prepaid basic plan?  Is it the PTT feature?
The Ravine 2 was new with a clean ESN, and it's just a basic phone.  I don't blame anyone except myself, but I would like to avoid this in the future. btw, I gave the Ravine to my mom and dad who are on a contract plan, and it is working great.
One of the reps I spoke with said that this may change in the near future, and that phones like the Ravine 2 may work on the prepaid plan soon.  Does anyone know if this is true?
To make things more confusing, I just read an older post that states if a contract phone like the Ravine is activated for at least 6 months, it then can be activated on a prepaid plan.  Is there any truth to this?
Finally, I understand that there are some basic flip phones available that I can purchase like the Revere 2 and the Gusto 2, but I prefer the quality of the Ravine 2.  I need the rugged phone capability due to my work environment.
    Thanks for your time.
    Jim

  • Planning at daily level and weekly reports ?

    Dear Experts,
Will be advisable to do Planning at daily level and weekly reports in 7.5 NW?
Any body did these kind of project earlier ? Kindly provide suggestions / recommendations please...
    Thank you,
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
We had done a planning at the daily level. However, the scope was also small for this planning scenario.
The main point is that in case of daily planning, the volume of the data might get too high. Any complex manipulation of the data might take a longer time due to the huge volume of the data.
    Hope this helps.

  • Prepaid plan question

I purchased a $35 prepaid monthly plan for my father back in WVA..  Why do some calls deduct from anytime minutes of 500 & one number, 713.725.xxxx shows up as a roam call, .20 per minute?  I had him do *228 option 1 to update prl.
He can call me & other #s w/ no roaming costs. Do certain area codes hit different towers & cause this roaming fee?  I don't care about the .20 cent fee, just want to know how Verizon bills calls.
    Thanks kindly..

        CrazyDiamond,

  • IPhone 3G on the prepaid plan

Supportive of Apple products as I am, I have brought yet another one home - iPhone 4. I intended to still use my well kept 3G occasionally, and thought a prepaid plan would be a way to go. However, I have just heard back from ATT, and they told me that they don't permit iPhones on prepaid plans?!
Is that not wasteful??? Anybody aware of a way to still use my 3G beauty as a phone?

but some folx told me one must use the phone purchased with the prepaid ATT plan for 6 months before being able to stick the card into the iPhone
And who were these "some folks"? When you got your iphone 4 & activated it, AT&T de-activated the sim in your 3G. Pop it out & pop a pre-paid sim in, you should have no trouble activating the voice part of the sim. You won't be able to activate the data part.

  • $60 single line plan vs $50 prepaid

    Hello,
I have an iphone 4s and just had my contact expire in January.  I  called customer service and after having the call get disconnected 3 times and being  transferred 3 times (over a 40 minute time span) I got a customer service rep on the line.
I asked her to move me to the $50 prepaid plan and she said  "Well you should do the $60 single line plan because your calls get priority on the towers over the prepaid calling plan". Is this true?
I then asked her then what all the differences between the 2 plans were and she said "the 4G LTE is available on the $60 plan and not on the $50 prepaid" I told her I did not need the extra speed so that is a moot point.
Both plans offer unlimited talk and text and 1 gig of data.
So are there any other differences in the two plans?
    Thanks in advance.

Well it is true for other pre-paid companies that use Verizon towers like Straight Talk. So it could be true for Verizon's own pre-paid. The iPhone 4s does not use 4G anyway so not having access to the 4G network wouldn't mater in your case. The $60 plan allows you to tether. Also you get free international texting and 25 GB of free cloud storage. If none of those matter then you might as well go with pre-paid.
