LG G2 flash stays on too long
Our LG G2 when used in low light, the flash stays on for 6 sec before picture is actually taken, it can blind the subject for minutes after. This issue was asked before on this link https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/830574. I followed all the steps to include the Safe Mode, it also happens in safe mode. The discussion ended without any resolution. Any suggestion, this phone is 4 days old with the latest software version VS09827A. We have another phone, the exact model also new and it also has the condition.

Thanks for getting back to me. I wanted to wait until it actually got dark to test your theory. The Night mode is not the solution, the picture is dark and grainy. The flash does work but with the light staying on for the 6-7 sec. The camera does take great pics but when the flash is needed it can not be used for people only objects. I understand LG's quest for the best result by lighting the subject until the camera can sort out the best focus, but my HTC2 takes a great picture, with flash, in about 1 sec. This is more like a "real" camera's handling of the need for flash.
You also mentioned a 3rd party app but reading the reviews some have the chance to turn the phone into a "brick" if not done correctly or they don't work at all.
I may consider turning this phone back during my trial period for a Samsung, only after testing its handling of the flash issue.

IPhone screen stays on too long
Can anyone tell me why my screen would stay on longer than a minute when the phone isn't being used? Sometimes I've noticed this when it's attached to a music dock or via USB to my laptop, but lately it seems to stay on even when it's sitting on my desk unconnected to anything. Easy enough to shut off the screen by pushing the button on top, but I'm using up battery power I don't want to, and it seems like the phone should go to sleep sooner than it is.

I see how it happened. I'd turned on a password lock for a couple days a while ago, and when I turned it off, I set Auto-Lock to "never," thinking this was the way to turn off the password lock. -
OS X Mavericks (10.9)- Ejecting external drives taking too long
So ever since I upgraded from 10.8.5 to the 10.9 GM any external hard disk or flash drive take too long to eject (~10 s). I'm sure it's not the drives because I've tested the same one on different Mac mini on 10.9 but it ejects within a second or two. I've tried USB 2.0, 3.0 and Thunderbolt drives. Is anyone having this issue and does anyone know how to fix it? I would rather avoid having to do a clean install. I'm using a mid 2012 MBA.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I can't view my website at www.artisancandies.com, even though it's working and everyone else seems to see it. No, I don't have a firewall, and it's not because of my internet provider - I have AT&T at work, and Comcast at home. My husband can see the site on his laptop. I tried dumping my cache in both Firefox and Safari, but it didn't work. I looked at it through proxify.com, and can see it that way, so I know it works. This is so frustrating, because I used to only see it when I typed in artisancandies.com - it would never work for me if I typed in www.artisancandies.com. Now it doesn't work at all. This is the message I get in Firefox:
"The connection has timed out. The server at www.artisancandies.com is taking too long to respond."

Compile error "input line is too long" when using useLegacyAOT
I'm using FlashBuilder 4.7 and the release of AIR 4 on Windows 7 to package for iOS...As soon as I include 3 or more ANEs I can no longer compile to iOS (and also use the new "useLegacyAOT no" command). When I try I get an error "The input line is too long. Compilation failed while executing : compile-abc"
I found a couple other similar issues. One post suggested instead of pointing to individual ANEs (in Package Contents) to point to a folder instead--but this doesn't fix the
Another post for a slightly different problem said it was fixed in the release of AIR 4.
Any ideas? I wonder if I move my AIR SDK to a simple path (like "c:\air\adt.jar" instead of "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 (64 Bit)\eclipse\plugins\com.adobe.flash.compiler_4.7.0.349722\AIRSDK\lib\adt.jar") if it'd help.

Siteinfo.sol file path too long
Hopefully someone here can help with this problem. First, I'm
running Windows XP Pro. Every night I do an automatic backup of my
C: drive to an external hard drive (Maxtor) using Maxtor's backup
software, EMC Retrospect Express HD 2.0. However, the backup quits
when it tries to write a particular Flash file because the file
path is too long. The file at the end of the path is siteInfo.sol
and it is in a folder that is nested within 13 other folders. The
file path is:
C:/Documents and Settings/[my username]/Application
Data/Macromedia/Flash Player/#Shared
Objects/5WGFZ2N2/assets.cobalnitra.com/teams/repository/export/535/e93087b291004840/b0003 ba76d6c7/535e9308/7b291004840b0003ba76d6c7.swf
From the "teams" folder on down through the nesting, there
are no other files in any of the folders. The simplest solution
would be to delete the "teams" folder, and thus all of the folders
within it and the siteInfo.sol file, but I need to know if these
folders (from "teams" on down) and this file are necessary for the
operation of Flash Player. If they are, does anyone have another
solution? I could go into the backup program and manually designate
that every folder and file on my C: drive other than these be
backed up, but that's a pain. I would love to call Adobe technical
support, but there is no phone support for the free version of
Flash Player.

This is a Flash Shared Object that was written to your
machine by cobalnitra.com. It's like a 'cookie' inside of Flash.
You can safely get rid of it, though you might lose perhaps some
saved game settings (or something saved by cobalnitra.com).
Basically if that site is something you use a lot and does
something important to you, then keep it. Otherwise you can delete
everything under the #Shared Objects folder. -
Why can't you provide specific instructions here in HT203909 (Boot Camp: Creating an ISO image from a Windows installation DVD) about how to make the USB drive bootable? The article referenced for partitioning the drive is not dedicated to Bootcamp--too long, too many options. How do you make it bootable?
If your BC Assistant shows the option to create a USB Installer, it automatically is marked as bootable. There is no need to have manual intervention to make a bootable USB. Once the process is manually modified, it is supported by the person modifying it.
You have two or three options (depending on your Mac Model).
1. Create USB... - Use a USB2 flash drive, which is erased and formatted. If your Mac supports ISOs then BCA will prompt for the Media. Any Mac which does not have a built-in Optical drive will support an ISO. There are specific Mac models which support both, DVD and USB based installation.
2. Download Software from Apple servers...
3. Install Windows...

How can I make the lock screen stay active for longer than 5 seconds?
I'd like to have the lock screen stay active for longer than 5 seconds. Too many times I've not seen a notification come through. I'd like to have it stay on for at least 5 minutes for shutting down. I'm suprised a "lock screen delay" option isn't a general setting available to unjailbreaked phones.

I've tried hard to find someone else with these symptoms, and nobody seems to have a complete answer.
After upgrading my 2008 MacBook Pro to OSX Lion, these problems began.
Whenever I leave the lid closed for too long - not entirely sure how long, but the longer I leave it the more likely this is to happen - it refuses to wake when I open the lid. The power light will brighten, as if it were about to wake, and sometimes the screen will flash, but then it will all go black, power light and all.
At this point I press the power button, and the power light briefly flashes, and then the macbook seems to 'really' turn itself off.
Then I press the power button again, and it begins to boot. I enter my FileVault 2 password, and the apple logo and spinner appear, but as soon as the graphics driver kicks in (or whatever it is - the point when the shades of grey suddenly change and the brightness automatically adjusts) suddenly the mac goes straight to sleep immediately, and we're back to the same symptom as before.
It will do this repeatedly through a 2nd, 3rd, etc power cycle.
Resetting the SMC doesn't seem to help.
I have managed to get the macbook to boot normally by clearing the NV Ram, and also by booting into single user mode and immediately shutting down and rebooting. But this does not solve the problem, it merely lets me boot one more time.
Any thoughts appreciated, it's driving me mad, not to mention losing me work.Anyone? Is there really nobody else who's seen similar symptoms?
I'm still experiencing this. I've discovered that booting into Recovery Mode usually works first time, but this doesn't help with my wake-up-from-sleep problem. -

What if PMU Reset is held too long?
I've been working with a dual 867 MHz MDD G4 PowerMac. Back in the Fall (I think October or November) it suddenly would power on, but not boot up. The Power light comes on and stays on, no chimes (although there is one noise that sounds like the audio supplying power to the internal speaker), the fans run, the Hard Drive & Optical Drive are getting power, the red light on the motherboard stays lit, the video is dead, the USB keyboard & mouse are getting power, the battery reads a little over 3.6 volts. At the time I tried the suggested fixes (unseating / re-seating the video card, removing / installing the memory modules, resetting the PMU, leaving it unplugged, etc.) none of which had any apparent effect. But one day it just started working again, and worked up until about 3 weeks ago when its' behavior became pretty much identical to what it was doing in the Fall.
This time I have focused on trying to reset the PMU, yesterday I re-seated the CPU card. At times I know I have held the PMU reset button down longer than the suggested firm but quick press, likely as long as 10 seconds. This was done with the power cord removed, and the battery out. Does holding the PMU reset too long actually put the PMU in a permanent state of confusion? What are my choices to make sure everything is starting over from scratch?
From what I've read, this is likely either a CPU, or logic board problem at this point and either one will be pretty expensive to try and isolate.
I have a MDD FW800 that I could potentially try substituting the CPU from, but the bus speeds are different (dual 867 is 133Mhz, FW800 is 167MHz), and I'm not sure if the CPUs would work in the other logic boards.
Is it time to declare this dead, or is there any low cost things I can try?

As long as the PMU reset was done with one push, even a long push, there shouldn't be any problems. If the push were actually two or three, then the PMU could quit responding. Anyhow, a push is a push, so one can assume the nvram is reset (unless the PMU is compromised....)
I assume that the machine doesn't respond to keyboard commands? Have you tried booting to OS install disc? How about a verbose mode boot (command+V)? If it will boot to verbose, you can see where the machine is stalling, possibly allowing you to determine the cause of your problems.
If you have a CD with the Apple Hardware Test on it, you could attempt to run that on the QS. Get a copy here, burn to disc, and give it a try....
You could test the power supply to see if that's the problem. There isn't a proper guide for the QS that I can refer you to, but if you use these instructions (generally), and apply it to the pinout for the QS on this page, you should be able to test the voltage of the PSU. -
Why does it take too long to open attachments from email account?

After clicking open on the pop up box asking whether i want to open or save the attachement It takes too long to download it. The transfer window stays open showing that it is ready to download but stays at that bhox window. I press cancel and try to open again, if lucky it opens that file, otherwise it takes forever forceing me to cancel. The files very small files most of the time, usually between 50kb so should take seconds.
I have even tried to save the files but again same process. The transfer box stays open but does not download.
Any one any ideas.

It is not easy to say what happen exactly but it must be something with email account provider and their page. For me this case is not some typical Vista problem but you can try to find solution on Microsoft Vista IT Pro forum.
By the way: do you have alternative mail address by some other provider? Is there the same situation?
