LG Octane transferring pictures to computer

I've been reading everyone's postings on transferring pictures from phone to computer. My SD card card was already in my phone when I left the verizon dealer so I don't know is its formatted. When I connect the usb cord to phone and computer I get a phone message of "connection failed", "check connection". I have, repeatedly. Please help me. I'm really a novice. Thanks.

I understand your frustrations and I would like to help get your pictures transferred from the phone to your computer. Do other USB devices work in the computer? Are you using a PC or a Mac? Unfortunately, the Octane is not compatible with Mac OS. Before hooking the USB into the computer you will need to active the USB Mass Storage mode.
Press Menu
Choose Settings and Tools
Choose USB Mass Storage
Select ON
Connect the phone to your PC using the USB cable
Drag the phone file to transfer and
drop it in a pre-selected PC directory.
If the device will still not connect you do have the option of inserting the memory card into a card reader. I would be happy to continue troubleshooting with you, if necessary. I look forward to hearing from you.

I took some pictures using only the internal memory of my BB Style 9670 and I cannot transfer them to my computer. This is what I did: I connected BB device to my PC; opened the BB Desktop Software v6.0.1.18; and clicked "Pictures" under Media Sync. This is the message that I got: "Media storage is not available. Please check that a media card is installed correctly in your BB device and that mass storage mode is turned on."

With mass storage mode enabled the BlackBerry acts like a usb thumb drive. So if you go to your start menu>computer - you should see BlackBerry1 and BlackBerry2 under "Devices with removeable storage" 1 is internal memory and 2 is your SD card.
There is a setting which might turn off your access to BlackBerry internal memory. So if you don't see BlackBerry1, Send your pics to your SD card. If you have one.
But you need to double click on the BlackBerry1 or 2 to open them up, Then double click the folder "BlackBerry" then you will see the folder "Pictures". From there you can copy the pictures to your desktop. Or copy pictures from your pc to your BlackBerry.
I never use BlackBerry Desktop software for anything. It honestly just seems to make things more difficult.

i had this problem as well when i was attempting to transfer photo's from my computer to my iphone. i believe what i did was simply change the destination of the sync folder in itunes. for some reason itunes didn't like syncing the "my photo's" folder on most people's PC's. try creating a new folder somewhere and changing the sync directory in itunes, you can create as many subdirectories in that folder as you'd like too!
for instance:
iphone pictures
wallpapers
friends
family
etc...(you get the picture)

Problem transferring pictures from my camera memory card to my computer. When asked where to save them, it only gives me the option of saving to "Snapfish". There is no option to save the pictures to my computer???

You delete them the same way they got there, through the iTunes sync process. Deselect what you don't want on your phone under the photos tab, then hit the apply/sync button.

Here’s my question,
I have a new HP Photosmart 7520e all in one. I put my memory card in the slot but the printer screen does not show my computer as a destination option. I'm using Windows 7. Nothing at the computer end acknowledges that the card is in the printer slot. The computer is wireless hook up. How do I transfer pictures from the card to the computer?

My computer does NOT have a card slot or I would have use it to start with. Next: This sentence doesn't make any sense to me. (youyr answer) "You can map the card to network drive but why you have to do that hard ?" I don't understand "maping net works".
All my previous (4) HP printers had card slots (as this one does) but when I put my card in the computer would read it and ask me if I was ready to import them and I picked the destination ... click on "import" and it happened. This one.. nothing happens on the computer but the printer screen gives me a choice of destinations (snapfish & usb cord) but does not offer an option of moving them to the computer. Photos in the ?Camera Roll can be deleted by tapping on Select, then selecting the photos to be deleted and finally tapping on Trash.
Photos in albums that were copied to the device by syncing with your computer running iTunes are deleted by syncing again. But before clicking on Apply or Sync deselect the no long wanted albums in iTunes. Finally click on Apply.

I Have PSE 8 for many years and never had an issue transferring pictures from my cellphone to PSE 8 until I upgraded a month ago to PSE 13. I didn't like this new version so I contacted customer service to cancell the recent upgrade. Then, I went bank to my PSE 8 and I can't transfer pictures from my iPhone to PSE 8. The USB works and I use windows.

I usually see this error reported when the iPhone connected has not been unlocked prior to being connected. Disconnect the phone from the computer. Unlock the phone with the passcode and make sure it is "awake" when you connect it to the computer. This seems to be a quirk under Windows 8.

i transfered pictures to a folder on my computer...i did not delete them from my camera role...
if i take more pictures and transfer the pictures again, will there be doubles or the other pictures unless i uncheck all the pictures that are already on the computer?

One thing that might help out.
It depends on the way you are transferring the photos.
One way is to connect the iphone, then open my computer.
In my computer you should see apple iphone.
Open apple iphone and you should see all the photos you have taken with the iphone.
You can copy and paste from here to any location on your computer you want.
The nice thing here is that if you copy to the same directory, you computer should warn you that your already have some files of the same name in here.
You should be able to choose to replace or not copy.

ive just sussd out how to transfer my songs off my cd i have of 60 albums in mp3 mode,onto my ipod classic.the prob i have now is transfering pictures from my pc as i dont see anything saying pictures on itunes.also how do i compose songs on my ipod into different albums.

Here's a simple "How To" on downloading photos from a folder on your hard disk to an iPod:
1 Create a folder on your hard drive to hold the photos you want on your iPod. Call it iPod Photos for example
2 Drag the photos you want from your usual picture folder into the folder you just created
2 Open iTunes, select your iPod in the iTunes Source list.
3 Click the Photos tab and select “Synch photos from.”
4 Choose “Choose Folder” from the pop-up menu and select the iPod photos folder you created.
5 When you want to change what photos are on the iPod just add or remove the photos from the folder you have made and syncronise the the iPod
iTunes will add "optimised", small TV quality versions of the photos to the iPod for you to view. if you want to include full size photos so you can move them from one computer to another check the "Include Full Resolution photos" box. When you want to change the photos on the iPod you simply add or remove the photos you want from your iPod Photos folder and sync the iPod.
If the folder you are syncing from has sub folders you can choose the update option to sync from selected folders they will show in a box below the main setting. This allows you to use the selected folders option and choose one or more of the sub folders. For example you may choose to sync from My Pictures and inside My Pictures you have folders for different subjects. You can then choose which of those subject folders you want to update to the iPod or you might want to make a folder in there especially for iPod photos. You can drag these folders into an order of your choice.

Try using RecBoot to kick it out of recovery mode. If that does not work, try a manual install, as outlined in link below. If it STILL keeps entering recovery mode, you most likely need a new logic board.

The computer has to be authorized for the account that purcchased the media.
What error message are you getting when you try to lauthorize the computer for that account?

Apple's policy is clear: iTS purchases can be downloaded only once. It is your responsibility to make back-ups . (For most people, this will involve either CD's/DVD's or an external drive .)
That being said, at their discretion they have made one-time exceptions to this policy. You can ask for an exception by submitting the form on this page:
