LG optimus exceed 2

My flashlight on the LG optimus exceed 2 has stopped working, haven't had this phone not even a month yet. Haven't dropped it in water or dropped it at all

    Hello Wbarbour21!
I am so sorry to hear that your new phone has stopped working so quickly! Do you get an error message when you try to open the flashlight? Please try uninstalling & reinstalling the app you have to see if that will correct the issue. Also, be sure that your camera's flash is set to "on" or "automatic." You can do this by going to the Camera, and clicking the lightening bolt shaped arrow button on the left. If flash is set to off, the flashlight may not work either.
Thanks,

  • LG optimus exceed 2 flash problems

Just got this phone a few months ago. Its been in a protected case ever since I bought it. The cameras flash was working fine a when I first got the phone. Also my flashlight app was working good too. Now a few weeks ago my flash stopped working completely,  I can't use my phone as a flashlight or on camera flash. Then a few days ago it worked one time and isn't working again. I don't know if I may have damaged the phone or if it may just be an issue I can fix. I reset the phone to factory setting and that didn't fix it. I haven't dropped the phone in water. Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

I constantly use my flash light on my LG phone. Let's get your flash to shine bright again. Have you added new applications to your phone recently? Applications can affect the way your phone functions.  Click on the link to place your phone in safe mode.  This will let us know if there is an application that may be causing the issue.  http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/optimus-exceed-troubleshooting-app/

  • LG Optimus Exceed 2 - Keyboard disappears

I've only had this phone a couple of months.  The first problem started with the keyboard issue.  I'd be typing and after a few keystrokes the keyboard would just disappear.  I could tap the message box, or toolbar, whatever I was typing in and MAYBE the keyboard would reappear, but only long enough to MAYBE type one, or two more letters before disappearing again.  If I was lucky, I MIGHT get a full web address typed in after 5 or 10 attempts, but most of the time before that happens, now it completely shuts down and goes back to the phone's main screen and I have to start all over again...clicking the browser icon and hoping the keyboard will show up so I can try to type in a website address.
This isn't just happening when I'm online.  It happens when I try to send a text message, when I'm trying to play Scrabble, or Family Feud, or any game that requires typing, and even when trying to type in contact information for my phone.
NOW the 2nd issue is that my phone will not stay online.  I use my home wi-fi most of the time, since I stay home due to being disabled, and it saves using my plan data, but it also happens if I enable mobile data when I'm away.  I click on my browser, it opens the internet to the last web site I was on, and before I can do anything, it's gone back to my phone's main screen!
What was happening sporadically escalated to CONSTANTLY over this past weekend and now I can't use the internet at all.  I tried calling Verizon twice today for support.  The first time, they disconnected me.  The 2nd time I was instructed to dial *228 on my phone and select option #1 and that would "definitely fix the problem".  (this after being on hold for about 30 minutes).  I hung up, followed those instructions, the recording assured me my phone had been 'reactivated' and I hung up.  I clicked on the browser icon, the web page blinked for a mili-second and I was back on my phone's main screen!  I actually think it happened even faster than it was happening before!  WOW!
I have searched the web relentlessly all weekend to try to find a solution.  The LG support site suggested doing a 'soft reset', which I did over the weekend and the only result I got was losing everything I had downloaded (all ringtones, games, etc.) but no fix to the problem.
Can anyone help?  Does anyone from Verizon actually read these questions?
    Thanks,
    Annette
    P. S.  When I got this new 'smartphone', I had just paid my bill on my previous 'basic phone' the day before.  I was informed that to activate my new phone, I would have to switch plans (which I did) but that my $45 payment that I had paid the previous day could NOT be applied to the new $45 smartphone plan because it's a 'different plan' (however, Verizon couldn't grasp the fact that the $45 payment would STILL be $45 no matter which plan they applied it to!!).  So, after getting it IN WRITING from two separate Verizon reps that once I paid another $45, that my previous $45 would be refunded to me (less one day's usage), I made another payment.  Two months later, I am STILL waiting on that refund.  Any suggestions on how I can get that to happen?

Thank you tbo27 for replying to my thread.  At least that shows me that someone DOES occasionally attempt to answer questions here.
But I'm guessing that you missed the part where I said that I had already done a reset on my phone prior to calling Verizon and the only things that were accomplished was deleting all my downloaded programs, my photos, contacts, etc., and making the problem WORSE?
But, like I said, thanks for trying

  • My new LG Optimus Exceed 2 wont connect to wifi.

I know I have a wifi signal...The phone says I have a signal....But It wont connect! HELP!!!! I just got this phone three days ago. I cant use my google play or browse the web. It just loads and loads and loads.

It's imperative your device is running in prime condition, pferris. Is Wi-Fi currently on? Does this occur with multiple networks?

    LGVS985 — LG G3
    LGVS415PP — LG Optimus Zone 2
    LGVS450PP — LG Optimus Exceed 2
    LGVS876 — LG Lucid 3
    LGVS880 — LG G Pro 2 Lite
    LGVN280 — LG Extravert 2
    LGVN170 – Not Known Yet.
LG VS876 lucid 3, LG Optimus Zone 2,LG Optimus Exceed 2, and  LG Extravert 2 should be available very soon.

The common rumored devices to release in the next 2 months are:
Dual Core 1.2 Ghz LTE phones
Galaxy Nexus - Galaxy phone with newest software (ICS) - Looks to be an amazing phone with out of this world bells and whistles in the new google software.
Moto Razr - Great phone 4.3" screen, thinnest phone on the market, kevlar body for durability
HTC Rezound??? - Forget the name, but is supposed to be optimized for music with a comparable screen / processor to the other two.
Rumors place them all at $300 with a contract.  If you can wait until end of November at least the first 2 should be out by then and if you aren't opposed to paying $300 these phones will all be significantly superior to what is currently available.  The Nexus is my choice.

  • Cannot activate prepaid smartphone

Hello! Today, I bought an LG Optimus Exceed 2 at Best Buy. It's been already 2 hours since I bought it and I have tried to activate it and I can't. I have tried going to verizonwireless.com/activate and activate it there but i can't. It gives me an error basically saying that they cannot process my request. Ive tried calling customer service but it asks me for a verizon wireless phone number... Which I do not have. Please help, im desperate.

Hello m_luna726! Sorry to hear of the trouble you're having with activating your phone. Are you a new customer? You should still have an assigned mobile number even with our prepaid accounts. I would recommend reaching out to our Prepaid Department at 888-294-6804. Once you verify your mobile number, and call the number, when prompted, enter the prepaid phone number.
Then press 4, 5, 4 and then enter your pass code for your account.  If you do not know the pass code enter in four zeros.  Then the system will transfer you to a Prepaid representative. Please let us know if you need anything further. I trust this information will prove to be helpful. Thanks!

  • I do not understand prepay

Last month I purchased my LG Optimus Exceed PP phone and paid $60 for the unlimited talk and text and up to 2GB media.  First time using Verizon no contract month to month.  I just don't get the billing here.  With other carriers, all I had to do is get online, the amount due (same exact dollars and cents), yet it showed the amount due and the pay by date, and option to enroll in auto pay or use a debit or credit card to pay.  Here, I see a $5.00 amount in my acct. for who knows what it is there for, and all it does is to put money on a card.  I have no prepaid card!!!! I have unlimited minutes.  Why should I pay in the window that says add money for my minutes.  This is horrible.  What is my total due, and where on earth on my Verizon page do I go to the hit a button that says "Pay Now" or "Pay your Bill", etc.???  Also, I started my service Aug. 7, and I guess $60 is due by Sept. 7th.  I am assuming that is my bill.  BUT, on MY Verizon page, it says due by Dec. 7, 2013.
Someone PLEASE help!  I tried calling *611 to speak to an agent and there is no prompt or way to get a rep online.  I tried 0 and that does not work.  Just no way to get a human to ask questions.  Chat does not work.  No one shows up.  I am so frustrated.  All I want to do is make sure there is a payment in so I am not disconnected and be able to easily do this online.  I will NOT sign up with their auto pay. That is not debatable.  Anyone that can help, I sure would appreciate it.  Thanks.

Never mind.  I finally got someone to reply on Chat and they gave me a number to call where I can speak to a rep directly.  This representative was fantastic.  She took the time to explain every type of service, plan and the differences in managing accounts online.to me.   She changed my plan to  what will fit my needs the best, and a lower my bill each month.
This particular My Verizon online account view is actually geared for people with Prepaid plans (who purchase or fill cards with minutes) (who do NOT have unlimited talk and text) - so there was the confusion for me. It is set up for just that, not for people who have  month to month flat $50, $60 or $70 plans. Unfortunately, the month to month unlimited no contract does not have its own account page (as with other cell phone providers) and is joined together with the prepaid minutes online account information page.  Now I understand where one can get so confused.  This might clear up any questions for anyone else that reads this that are new to month to month and  have a similar problem understanding how to manage their plan online.  The online "My Verizon" gives some information of lets say ---  your data usage, and managing your contacts, but that is about it.  The $50, $60, $70 month to month unlimited (w/ what ever data), is not the total monthly bill.  There are taxes and that does not show up on your account page.  That is why from now on, I need to call in to pay my monthly bill or sign up with auto pay.  There is NO way to pay our bill online with the type of plan we have because of it being set up for the Prepaid "add more minutes, buy a prepaid card" type of  accounts. WHY a no contract month to month unlimited account plan is called Prepaid is BEYOND my comprehension. Just call it month to month (like everyone else)!!!  Bottom line - forget trying to pay your monthly bill online with this kind of plan.  Set up auto pay or call in to pay.  I hope this helps someone out there!

  • Why won't share photos work to my Gmail account?

I have a LG Optimus Exceed Prepaid phone.  I take better pictures with a cell than a regular camera, therefore I am depending on it for my eBay and Etsy shop photos of items I sell.  The easiest way I transferred them was to pull up Galery, then hit share button, pick the photos and then chose to have those go to my Gmail address - then saved to my files.  Has been working for the most part quite well. - sometimes it would "fail to send" and I fixed it by checking settings for sync and if all OK, and still nothing, I would take the battery out and then restart the phone.  Well, now that does not even work.  What do I do?  I am almost one week behind in getting anything listed online - it just does nothing.  I tried in the past to pull out sim card and transfer that way, but never could find the "folder" they were in to complete it to my computer.  So, forget that, unless somone has step by step suggestions.  I am ready to toss this phone and get a new one, and frankly I can not afford it.  Please, someone HELP!  Thanks much!

One of the easiest ways to get them to your computer is to use dropbox (or verizon cloud, or google etc.) with such services they will automatically upload your photos to "the cloud" and if you have dropbox (google drive etc.) installed on your computer they will almost instantly appear on your computer as well (recommend using wifi when available). Dropbox is available in the play store and you get a decent amount of free storage and can always move the photos off dropbox regularly.  Otherwise if you are on wifi you can use programs like wifi explorer which would allow you to use a web browser to copy the files to your computer.  If you connect via USB you are looking for a folder called DCIM either on the phone or sd card.

  • SDDM, black screen with Optimus laptop setup

    Hey all
After reading the NVIDIA Optimus and the SDDM wiki pages I am kind of at a loss as to how to proceed.
    My problem is the following:
I have a Lenovo T540p and I am using the NVIDIA drivers. I have followed the Optimus setup guide succesfully and have setup my xorg.conf for the card that the laptop has. I am sure that it's successfull since if I start X manually I get into my desktop environment.

After looking around a bit I realized that the problem probably lies with the 2 xrandr calls that I have at the beginning of the .xinitrc. X server starts manually if I do it with startx since then the xrandr commands can be properly interpreted. But it seems that sddm needs to somehow run them before X starts.
Thankfully the Archwiki Optimus page mentions that for an Optimus setup to work with the SDDM login manager the xrandr calls need to be moved to this file: /usr/share/sddm/scripts/Xsetup
I did that and expected things to finally work but when rebooting I still get a black screen. As I said in the beginning if I switch to another tty and startx I get to my window manager and all is fine. The problem is with the X server that SDDM starts.
In case it is of any help this is my pstree of the SDDM process

  • Report for Qty Contract and Value Contract with PO release exceeding limits

    Hi All,
Is there a std report in SAP that the users can use to view Qty and Val Contracts that has exceed in Qty (in case of Qty Contracts) or Val (in case of Val Contracts) ?
    Thanks in advance!

    hi Duke,
If thinking logically, then there is no report for the same..this may be because you enter the qty or value limits in the contract doc itself....So, when you make the PO for the same, and if the qty or value exceeds the system automatically provides the message..stating that the qty or value has exceeded....
So, there is no report for the same...
    Hope it helps...

  • Error in executing a process for Flex compilation ....exceeds 32K...

    Hi,
deployin my model i get the following error-message.
"Error in executing a process for Flex compilation, Error: Branch between 64935 and 97770 around line 0 exceeds 32K span. If possible, please refactor this component.
Error: Branch between 64935 and 97770 around line 0 exceeds 32K span."
Do i delete a sort-element from my model it is deployed very well. So what does this message exactly mean and how can I locate where the error occurs and how can i fix that problem because i need this sort-element to be in my model.
    Thanks for your help!
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,
You are receiving this error due to a current limitation in the Flex server. How you can fix this is to split the iView you are currently working on into two iViews, and embed one within the other. This will decrease the size of the current iView you are receiving the error for and eliminate this problem.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers,
    Scott
