LG phone alarm/calendar on vibrate mode?

Hello,
I want my alarm to go off on vibrate mode? Can I set my LG Octane phone so that the alarm clock goes off on vibrate mode?
Thank you for your advice.

I think you would have to set the entire phone on vibrate mode, so ANY alerts would cause the phone to vibrate, including the alarm clock.

  • Issue when coming out of vibrate mode

    Hello all,
This has happened a couple of times now with my 3GS. I put my iphone on charge and selected silent vibrate mode with the side switch. In the morning, the battery was at 99% and even though I had selected ringing mode with the side switch, the phone remained in silent (vibrate) mode. I got a text, it vibrated with no message alert. I tried typing a text and the keyboard didn't make the click sound on each key press. I rebooted the phone and all was back to normal including the battery indicator, now at 100%...???
Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not too bothered if it occasionally needs a reboot but I am curious to see if its a firmware bug?
My iphone is running the latest release and is from Orange UK - Locked.
    Thanks

Though it's not normal... it doesn't hurt to do a hard reset every now and then...
To try to resolve I'd suggest a full restore using "set up as new iPhone" this will take all the bugs out that could be causing the issue...

  • Alarms & Vibrate mode.

Is there a way to set an alarm to only vibrate when the vibrate switch is on? Rather embarrassing watching a movie in a movie theater only to have a car horn go off. I know I could disable the alarm for the time being but I still need to be informed of what it's for. The vibrate switch is there for a reason and there's no real reason the alarm (at least by default) should continue to use the ringer when your phone is set to vibrate only.

For the number of posts like yours, there are posts the other way around of users that use phone for alarm clock to wake up. And they set to silent to avoid calls or txts in the night but need the alarm to still go off.
If there was something you needed to remember and not really need an alarm for, use the calendar instead. Same setup, but it doesn't ignore the silent switch.

  • The alarm (as of iOS 7.0.2) does not go off when in vibrate mode

I have recently upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS 7.0.2, and when the phone is in vibrate mode the alarms do not sound.  Instead the phone just vibrates which does not help.
The point is to silence the phone for the night, as I don't want to hear incoming calls and texts, but I do expect the alarm to go off with sound in the morning.  The alarm becomes completely useless otherwise.
Has anyone else experienced this, and is there some hidden new setting I'm unaware of to control this new behavior?

My alarm still sounds even if the phone is on mute. Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?
Until you get the issue resolved, have you tried using Do Not Disturb instead of putting the phone on mute? The alarm should sound when DND is set.
    Best of luck.

  • Vibrate Mode only works for phone calls -- Solution.

So, I'm sure I'm not the only person who didn't realize that the vibrate mode doesn't turn on vibration for message and app notifications.
I was having an issue where whenever I had the phone on vibrate, I was not getting notified for text messages.
I googled this, and a lot of people had the same issue. Basically, the phone would behave like it was on silent whenever a text message or other notification was recieved.
In order to fix this for text messages/voice mail - open up your messages, hit the menu button, then settings, and verify your preferences for vibration are selected.
Each Vibrate option is under the Recieved Messages, Sent Messages, and Voicemail Notification Settings.
I've noticed that every single app has it's own vibrate setting, so you have to individually go through and change them if you want vibration notifications. I don't believe they will shut off when your phone is on audible (if you're worried about battery life). I think it's only an on or off type of deal.
Anyway, hope this helps. It's given me more than a week of frustration.

Glad you posted this, I'm sure a lot of people have had this issue. Every android I've owned is like this, took me forever to figure it out the first time.

  • What should I do if the vibrate mode my phone isn't working?

It rings and plays music. The speakers are completely fine.  I have both vibrate modes switched to on and I even tried changing the vibrate pattern, but it won't vibrate.

Reset iPhone. Restore iPhone. With CDMA iPhone the vibrate motor plugs (connects) directly to the logic board. Does the external mute switch work, gives screen notification when moved? Replace vibrate motor.
If there is Warranty or AppleCare Coverage make Genius appointment and take to Apple.

  • Vibration Mode Not Working

I have Pearl 8130 that is approximately 13 months old (just out of warranty of course) and the vibration mode quit working.  The day that it quit working I received a call in the morning and it worked. That afternoon no more vibration it had been on my belt the entire day and not dropped.
I have contacted my service provider and they helped me through several steps.
    1. Hard reboot.
    2. New operating software.
    3. Checked profile to make sure that the vibration alert was active.
    4. Created a new profile making sure that the vibration mode was active.
I am sure we tried some more things but right now I cannot remember what that might have been.
Does anyone have any idea of how to correct this problem???
Should I contact Blackberry and see if they can help me out?
    Thanks

You will need a USB connection to your phone and the Nokia Software Updater. More on that here : http://europe.nokia.com/softwareupdate

  • Is it possible to Mute "Say A Command" while in vibrate mode?

in vibrate mode, when the phone "should" be silent, if you pick it up and accidentally touch the voice dialing command, the voice starts talking "say a command...". my opinion is that when you are in silent/vibrate mode, this should be muted or disabled. there does not seem to be a way to do it, i looked through all the options in profiles
Any way to mute or disable the "say a command' while the phone is in vibrate mode?  I like the side button to do it so I dont want to get ride of it.

In Options>Voice Dialing change the audio prompts to disabled. This will disable it for all profiles but its a pretty quick and easy fix to change back and forth.

  • Vibrate mode only.

All of a sudden my phone will not play my ringtones when I get a call. All it does is vibrate. And yes, I have the vibrate mode turned off. I don't get the click when I select anything, and when I plug it into the docking station it does a double vibrate. I have all 6 of the bottom selections on the sounds page turned on. If I touch the slider on the sounds page the audio works good. I have tried a reset on the general page to no avail. Anybody seen this before.

Thanks I checked it earlier and it was correct. I must have changed it trying all the other things I could think of.

  • Phone not ringing only vibrating

Hi, my phone is not ringing for incoming calls, messages, emails, alerts or for the alarm.  Only vibrating.  I have checked the mute button, updated all sound settings, turned phone off and on again and reset the phone. Still no go.  Any suggestions?

Nope, still not fixed just don't know the phone is ringning at all without looking at it.
And if I try and ring out using the speaker phone option I can't hear the dial/ring tone when calling out.

  • Ringer Mode to Vibration Mode, programatically

    Hi,
I am trying to make a function which will switch from ringer mode to vibration based on the argument provided.
    > For example if the argument passed to function is '1', the ringer mode will be turned off and vibration mode will be enabled.
    > If '0' is passed, the vibration mode will be turned off and ringer mode will be enabled.

    Hi Aman Modi,
As I know, no for now. User need to control it instead of your code:
How to use the connection settings task for Windows Phone 8, let's think about follow scenario: if some app enable the Cellular data programmatically without notifying the user, user probably need to pay for the extra fee for the cellular data cost.

  • Droidx vibrate mode no longer works

Vibrate mode was working fine then a couple weeks ago it just stopped working, i.e.. incoming calls will not vibrate the phone.  The "phone vibrate" mode is checked in the "Settings -> Sounds & Display settings".  I've power cycled the phone but no luck.  Is there another option perhaps that needs to be turned on/off?  Even when I turn the volume off with just the vibrate mode initiated the phone will not vibrate.  I thought about a "Hard Reset" but maybe someone here has a better solution?
    thx

Never mind.  Atfer talking to Verizon Support and hard reseting the phone several times, it turns out that the phone needs to be replaced.  New phone will arrive on Thursday.

  • Silencer/Vibrate mode gone wild.

Recently, I have noticed that when I switch the my iPhone (original) to vibrate mode my phone will randomly start vibrating. The screen will display the bell and then it will display the no bell and vibrate as if I had just tuned on the silencer. It does this every couple of minutes until I turn the silencer off.
    Has anyone experienced this problem?
    Michael

My phone is also vibrating whenever i touch the screen, particularly in the upper left corner near where the silence switch is located. I have a crystal screen protector on it. Do you think it might have something to do with that (like some sort of magnetic field)?
If I bought my 3G iphone at ATT, will the Apple Store replace it if it's defective?
