LG Revere AOL email problem

Hello everyone.  I can set up an AOL account on my cell phone; however, I can only see my unread email for about 30 seconds after I establish the link, then they disappear.  I can't see any new emails even if I receive more in my AOL account.  I can only see them again on my phone for about 30 seconds if I delete the account off of my phone and re-establish the account.  What do I do?  I want to be able to see the unread emails.

Mary.M.in.Tx, thanks for posting. This a strange occurance. How long has this been an issue? Do you have this problem with any other email account (i.e. Gmail,Yahoo, etc)? Do you have an internet connection? Can you bring up webpages on the device? Please give more details so I can assist.^SP

  • Still having AOL email problems on Droid X

I have tried all the suggestions I've learned on this board and others, but still have problems with my AOL email.  It is set to "Push", but email comes anywhere from immediately to several hours later.  I have noticed that the emails seem to come in groups.  For example, I sent a test email from my Gmail to my AOL account.  It showed up about 30 minutes later along with two other emails (which were apparently sent two and three minutes previous).
Occasionally, when I try to send an email from one of my AOL accounts, I get an error message that says something about "authentication" failed.  I cannot find the email in the "Outbox" or "Sent" folders...in fact, there is never anything showing up in either of those boxes.  I can never tell if the email was sent or not, even after I click "refresh".  There is no notice that the mail is sending or has been sent, like there is with GMail.
I have changed the Incoming Server settings and the outgoing server settings according to the various suggestions I have received (e.g. changed the port back and forth, checked and unchecked "use secure connection" and "verify certificate", etc.).
Also, after reading an email, it will show up again as "unread", and will continue to do so until I get another email (which will then continually show up as "unread").
Since I've read that others have had similar issues, could this be a Droid X issue, an Android issue?  If so, could this be fixed by a future update?  Other than getting rid of AOL, is there anything else I can do?  (I've thought about changing all my AOL mail to GMail.  Is is possible to have more than one GMail account?  If so, how would this be set up on the Droid X?)

Sorry that is the T-Mobile setup process for AOL, after investigating I realized that AOL and Verizons network dont play well the way I got it to work was either setup Google to retrieve AOL account or use the app from AOL located here.. http://mobile.aol.com/product/android/aol/
Also here is the setup processes for all AOL supported apps, it doesnt show Android but maybe you can play with some of the settings and get it to work through the app.... http://about.aol.com/faq/openmailaccess
UPDATE: Did some more reasearch and found this information at DroidForums by Drakkarr that may work...
How to set up my Droid email to send/receive Netscape, AOL or AIM emails?
Setting up access to the AOL or AIM Mail servers is simple, and the settings are similar for most email applications.
The basic information that you need to keep in mind to set up your email application using IMAP and POP3 is as follows:
Your email address is [email protected] or [email protected]
Be sure to include the @aol.com or @aim.com suffix.
The incoming mail (POP) server address is imap.aol.com and imap.aim.com for IMAP, and pop.aol.com or pop.aim.com for POP3.
Select the check box for leaving messages on the server.
The outgoing mail (SMTP) server address is smtp.aol.com or smtp.aim.com, port: 587.
Your user name is your AOL or AIM screen name.
Your password is your AOL or AIM password.

  • Aol email problem

I have a Macbook Pro with Yosemite and I believe there is a problem with the Mail App.  I have two email accounts, Google and Aol.  There is no problem with Google but Aol often is unable to connect and asks me for my password.  It comes up with a notification with the password already inserted so all I do is click OK.  I don't have this problem with my iPad or other non-Apple computers so my guess is there is a problem with the App.  I have tried deleting the account and then re-installing but no joy.  Can anyone help please?

I think I might have solved the problem.  I unchecked "Automatically detect and maintain account settings" on SMTP and IMAP.  I did this on my Aol and Google accounts, even though I hadn't experienced a problem with Google.  So far so good!  Does anyone know if there are any downsides from the action I have taken?

  • AOL Email problems with Tour

The BIS asked me to validate my password.  I did with  the correct password and it says it is incorrect.  I tried on the phone and via the internet.  I logged into the AOL website with the same password the BIS is telling me is incorrect.  It has done this before and I changed the password and it worked.  I tried deleting the account and adding it back.  No luck

I am also getting the same issues

  • Galaxy S - AOL Email problem

A few days ago I started getting a red triangle when trying to access AOL (Yahoo works fine). The message says "Relogin Required". My screen name is grayed out and when I put my passwork in, I get the following error: The attempt to sign in failed due to an invalid Screen Nam, or incorrect settings. PLease check your Screen Name, Password and settings on the web, and try again. (301)
Anyone know how to correct this?

I don't know if this worked or not.  The OP never said.

My old pc was running on windows 7 and my new one is an apple running on Lion.
My phone is an Iphone IV and I can see all the bookmarks there.
In order to sync, what I did was click on the "I don't have the device with me", I entered the key that was provided and the process finish ok. It says congratulations, etc, etc.
But the bookmarks are not there, I tried merging data and replacing data on this computer options but is the same.
    Any suggestions?

  • Problems sending AOL emails (in UK)

I have had my Iphone for about 6 months now with no major problems but for the past few weeks I have been unable to send emails from my AOL email address. I also have a Googlemail address and this wirks fine, any suggeestions??
When trying to send an email it states
"the connection to the outgoing server "stmp.aol.com" failed"
this displays twice (ie you ok the 1st one and it appears again)
I ahve checked the settings and nothing has changed from when it used to work, the details
Settings/Mail/AOL/outgoing mail server is "stmp.aol.com" with other STMP servers marked on.
Any ideas, as I have deleted the account several times and re-installed but to no avail, any suggestions??

    Hey Guys,
Thanks for the replies.  This is running on OSX client, not server and no authentication is required.
I did figure out a way to make it work late yesterday.  I'm not sure if this is the "right way" or not, but it seems to do the trick.
In the automations tab in the system prefs panel of FCS, I went to "Assets Ready for Review [email]" and clicked through to the Responses screen.  Here the "From" field was left blank.  I put in a dummy email, and it worked just as advertised!
Michael, is this where you said to leave it blank and let FCS fill in the address?  If so, where does it pull the address from?  Can I have it pull from a metadata field and put the person that was working on the projects email in there, so the reviewer can respond to that real email instead of the dummy one that I used?
    Just a thought....
    Thanks again.
    John

  • When I am in aol email I can't get to my contact list to forward my email. I have no problem when I use Internet Explorer for aol email.

When I'm in Firefox and try to forward an email in aol email I cannot access my contact list when I click on the to/bcc/cc . When I use Internet Explorer I have no problem accessing my contact list at all.

First make sure Settings > Facebook > Contacts is turned off. Tis might be different from what you described in your question.
Then open your Contacts app and check carefully what is there for your son and grand daughter's contact info. Correct if necessary.

    Add this statement to struts-config.xml
    <forward
    name="success2" path="/loginSuccess2.jsp"/>
Before trying on tiles, you can add this statement in the method for handling the form in the class LoginAction
    return mapping.findForward("success2");

  • When I print an email using firefox as my browser the print if very, very tiny. No problem using Internet Explorer. This happens with both my Gmail and my AOL emails.

My emails are printing in very tiny type (unreadable). This happens in both my Gmail and AOL email accounts. When I use internet explorer it doesn't happen. I have researched the answers online and it seems that if I go to Firefox>file>page setup>scale and set it to 100% it may fix the problem. However, I cannot figure out how to take the first step. Where can I find "file"????
Sorry to be such a dummy.

    1. orange Firefox button in the upper-left corner - then click on Print - then click on Page Setup
    2. if that orange Firefox button isn't showing and the Menu bar is - click to open File - then click to open Page Setup

  • Verizon Chat advises pdf attachment non-download from AOL email is a software problem and directs me to Apple Support. I see "can't access cellular data network" in an instant before the file's icon turns into the file's name.

Verizon Chat advises pdf attachment non-download from AOL email is a software problem and directs me to Apple Support. I see "can't access cellular data network" in an instant before the file's icon is replaced by the file's name. In Inbox three emails in a row show there is an attachment. My iPad 3rd gen. runs 7.1.

You have Acrobat Pro on your system. It will try to open PDFs, and of course it will fail. You must uninstall it. Then, you will need a PDF reader. So install Adobe Reader. That seems quite simple, but perhaps something is wrong. If anything goes wrong with these two steps (1) uninstall Acrobat Pro (2) install Adobe Reader, then please let us know the details.

I don't think they have ever been able to send to AOL but has recently become an issue as they have customers with AOL email accounts ...
Any ideas? I have checked blacklists and we aren't on there ... they can email everyone else without a problem.
    Many thanks,
    Graham.

It is the same issue when they reply to an aol email address. The recipients have been called to check they haven't received it and they haven't.

  • Haven't been able to log in to AOL email via FireFox since Friday....have to use Google

Not sure what is going on with AOL email and FireFox, but I have not been able to access my AOL email account via FireFox since Friday. I know others are having the same issue. I have no problem if I use Google.

    Hello,
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.
Further information can be found in the [[Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox]] article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
    Thank you.

  • Using FF to access my AOL emails I get "There was an error while loading the message. Please try again later." Access is OK via Chrome, IE & AOL's own desktop.

"There was an error while loading the message. Please try again later." is a recent (3/4 days) error message I get when accessing my AOL emails. I can access the page and move them between states but cannot open them to read. Chrome, IE and AOL's own desktop open emails OK & can access them from the wife's PC using my AOL details. Have cleaned the history tab of everything in FF, have also removed it with add/rem progs and reinstalled - still I get the above message.
    PC - W7 Pro 64 bit, 16GB RAM etc.

    Hello,
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
'''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    #*'''Windows:'''
    #**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    #**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back to see if this helped you!
    Thank you.
    <!-- VERY important to include-->
<b>WARNING:</b> Do not run Firefox's uninstaller or use a third party remover as part of this process, because that could permanently delete your Firefox data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and saved passwords. <u>These cannot be recovered unless they have been backed up to an external device!</u>
