Power off the phone. Power it back on. Once it's showing language selection screen, press vol up, vol down, back, home - in that order - the phone will go to homescreen.

OK, at least 3 is working.
I don't know how you have a Tape Recorder icon on your Home Screen. I cannot add one myself. But, I am running Holo Launcher in replacement of the default LG "Optimus" User Interface. It's much better in my opinion.
Try long pressing the icon and select Edit and maybe you can change some attribute of the icon.
Another thing you could do, is long-press an empty area of your desktop, to add an icon. Select Shortcut, then Select Contact, and scroll through your contact list and choose the contact that you added for *86.
You realize if you have voice mail you haven't heard, there is a tape recorder icon in the notification bar, which you touch and pull down, then press it to dial voicemail.
If that functionality doesn't work, you MIGHT want to consider doing a factory data reset on your device, but that is going to nuke all your personalizations and cause you work to set up again.

MacBook Pro Retina doesn't show correct colour spectrum

I'm having trouble with my late 2013 13" MBPr display, it's displaying low colour spectrum, something like 16 bit colours. I took a photo of my screen right now, and it display something like this. As you can see the cat colour look really washed out and the spectrum doesn't look smooth at all.
Compare to this screen capture that I took (using ctrl-cmd-shift-4), you can see the cat colour is more "life" and the colour spectrum is smooth (I send the screenshot to my iPhone to make sure the screen capture have correct colours).
It's happen after I do an airplay mirroring using Apple TV that connected to HDMI to VGA adapter to my projector. I never do that before, as my apple tv usually connected to my TV.
This are what I already did after that thing happens: reset the NVRAM, try to reconfigure colour profile, restart my MBPr, and nothing happens. But when I try to mirroring either using airplay or direct hdmi connection, the display in other screen are perfectly normal while the display in my MBPr still washed out.
Any one can help?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this test is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The "Guest User" login created by "Find My Mac" is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.

Power Spectrum no longer working correctly after upgrading to 8.0.1

Recently, I installed Labview 8.0.1 to correct a problem I was experiencing in 8.0. The installation resolved my problem, but now the Power Spectrum no longer gives the correct result. My program has not changed other than the update. I checked my circuit and everything is functioning properly. Before changing to 8.0.1 the power spectrum peaked at 40Hz and 80Hz, which was correct, and now it peaks at 0Hz and 10Hz. On top of everything, the peaks are much higher than they should be. I expect peaks with a max of 2.5millivolts and now they are 1volt. I don't understand what is going on. Nothing changed, but the software version. Can someone please help me?

I'd recommend trying another VI function to get the power spectrum for
your signal to see if the behavior is the same. You can find some
examples of VIs using the power spectrum functions using the NI Example
Finder.
You can go to LabVIEW's Example Finder by going to Help >> Find Examples.
Then search for FFT. There should be some results that include FFT and
Power Spectrum Units.vi, Power Spectrum Measurement.vi, Basic Spectral Measurements.vi, and Spectrum Measurements.vi. Try opening and
running these examples to see if the VIs are returning the proper
results.

How to read the data in spectrum analyzer (Anritsu MS2661C) and put it in Excel using Labview

Hi all, I'm new to using the labview, and I have some trouble doing my project using the labview software.
I have been trying to use the spectrum analyzer (Anritsu MS2661C) which connect to computer using the GPIB connection.
I have got the instrument driver which can write and control the instrument using Labview 2010.
and my Question is how do read the data or result from the spectrum analyzer and send it to the microsoft excel?
Do I need to use other software or programming to do this step?
If anyone know how is this done, please let me know.

Hi ery,
In order to send data that you have read in from an instrument to Excel, the most convenient way to do this would be to use our Report Generation Toolkit. The Report Generation Toolkit is a very useful tool that allows you to interface to Microsoft Office software from LabVIEW, including Word and Excel. I am not sure if you are familiar with this, but I have attached a link that explains more about the Report Generation Toolkit below.
Another way would be to use the Write To Spreadsheet File VI. While this will store your data to a spreadsheet data file, it will not allow you to programmatically perform any Excel formatting like the Report Generation Toolkit offers. I have also attached a link to some information on the Write To Spreadsheet VI below.
Also, be sure to check out the Example Finder in LabVIEW for a number of examples on how to write data to a spreadsheet file. From LabVIEW, you can go to Help»Find Examples to launch the Example Finder. From there, you can search for "spreadsheet," which should populate examples for use in different applications. Software download error on LG Spectrum

Is anyone else getting a software download error when they try to check for updates. Obviously my LG Spectrum has never notified me of the Android 4.0 (ICS) update because of the error. I spoke with a Verizon rep today and they said this has been a common problem and it's a problem with the actual software. They now need to fix that and re-push it so the folks that have not got the update because of error can finally get it! She had no idea when that would be. This is getting ridiculous! Does anyone know of this software problem and if they are actually trying to solve the problem?

My Lucid did this for about 2 weeks right before we got ICS. Within a day of the issue going away we got ICS. So you should see this as a good sign.

Help... wont start up, freezes with spinning spectrum

My Mac displayed the spinning spectrum icom while my son was browsing online. I couldn't force quit or restart at all, I had to switch off the power but when it starts it gets past the grey screen with apple logo, turns to the blue screen but then back to grey with the arrow cursor at top left corner but it doesn't move with the mouse - the spinning spectrum also appears and that moves with the mouse! I've switched off at mains 3 yimes now, the last time was before I went out, for 6 hours and it still does the same!
It's 10.6.8. Appreciate any help, really don't know what to do apart from start up from install disk??

Zap PRAM/NVRAM is holding down 4 keys and kept down in addition to RESET SMC:
Unplugging everything, and power, and holding the power on button in for 5-10 seconds to reset the SMC then releasae and reconnect everything. And then start power on booting.
I have heard of logicboards so rare and usually it is not. graphics, yes, PSU in 2008 maybe.
Remove all the disk drives, just slide them half way out.
When you do those hard restarts and pulling power, force the system shutdown, it can harm the directory of the disk drives.
Killing power by pulling the plug or power is never good or helpful. Having a Mac Pro, put it on a good solid UPS will protect and likely extend its life and usefulness.
Having offline backups with your system, essential. Get in the habit of cloning and having multiple backup sets and methods, like TimeMachine plus SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner.

Editing in Frequency Spectrum View

I'm working on editing a song that has a male narrative voice that needs to be removed. This is new for me. I've been reading the Editing in Frequency Spectrum View section and plan to give this a try to remove this voice. I would welcome

Created a custom list from Import of spreadsheet (small list 29 rows-13 cols) into my sandbox team site.
Turned on inline editing and it still would not save.
So, new list and new view...still have issue.
I even went to another team member and had her create a view on her task list. She had same issue.
What would we check on the server side? I know this is an OTB function of 2010.

Spectrum Expert - USB or Express Card

The Spectrum Expert is a great tool but the problem is to find a notebook with a PC-Card / PCMCIA slot.
I know that there are adapters available for EC to PC-Card but I think this is not a solution for customers.
I didn't find any information on the Cisco website about an alternative.
Question: When will be a Spectrum Expert Card available with USB or EC connector?

I know the AP SE-Connect feature but we need a portable solution.
Cisco should think about a USB or Express Card solution.
The APs are working with the Spectrum Expert and it will be hard to explain to a customer that he should use a 3rd party solution to get a mobile solution.

Can't edit my message anymore, so for the tldr crowd (too long didn't read), here is a shorter version:
The good:
E4200 worked fine for about 15 hours with great throughput and link quality (with one brief disconnect in the middle - online gaming software shows brief disconnects that otherwise go totally unnoticed).
The bad:
Wireless on the E4200 stopped broadcasting entirely (to a Windows 7 laptop with a 802.11n 2.4 GHZ USB adapter).
I had switched between two adapters that use the same chipset, same driver and in fact show up as a single device in device manager) without rebooting the router but it worked (fine) for an hour after I swapped the adapters.
Right before I rebooted it, I checked and the E4200 was not hot to the touch and wired internet was still working after the wireless radio stopped working.
A reboot of the router cured it.
The open question as to the root cause:
Now I want to know whether this wireless radio ceasing to broadcast (requires a reboot of the E4200) will happen daily?
I.e. I want to know whether it it really is overheating (then again why would only some have that problem needing to reboot daily while others have gone weeks with the E4200 without a single reboot being needed and without any problems occurring) or whether it had to do with changing the adapters back and forth without rebooting the router. Keep in mind that the router worked fine for an hour or so after I stopped swapping the adapters.
Extra question:
Will getting a Cisco AE1000 USB adapter perhaps help? (I know this is a loaded question and their is no easy / sure answer, but even a "maybe" or reasons why it might help at this point would be better than nothing.
Any similar experiences (with the router needing to be rebooted to get wireless radio back on) would be appreciated as it may help myself and others experiencing these types of issues.

GPIB Control of Spectrum analyser

I have a HP 8591 EM spectrum analyser and EMC receiver I wish to control this via GPIB.
I would basically like to control everything from my PC if possible which covers everything on the front panel and to pull of all the data for analysis maybe in the fom of a csv file?????.
I have never used LABVIEW before so may I ask that no assumptions are made about how much I should know and any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I intend to use this set up for the analysis of PCBs in a home made faraday cage many thanks for your assistance

Please help us with the following problem we are facing:

2.   The A/D module doesn’t pickup microphone signal or
an audio sample for loopback but the implementation of the same works
fine in CCS environment. (We are using Mic In and Speaker Out lines)
3.   When a real-time application has run successfully
and if you close the VAB environment the application starts running
automatically until you reset the board.
4.   We don’t find the flash program button enabled, so
that any real-time program can be burned into flash and demonstrate the
embedded feature.
Note:
We are using Windows Xp professional edition.

Hello, I have included some information that will help address your questions: (1) I couldn't see the attached image file (contained errors). The RIDE/VAB DSK5416 Driver makes use of a JTAG communication when reading/writing memory on the DSK5416 hardware. You will need to make sure that the JTAG transfer option has been selected in the Driver Setup dialog box. The memory test process may seem to take a long time due to the amount of memory being accessed. (2) The VAB RTDSKAD block component provides a one-channel A/D input that makes use of the line-in channel on the DSK5416 hardware. (3) VAB does not remove the downloaded DSP executable program from DSK5416 memory, and it does remain resident. That being said, I wouldn't expect that the program would begin execution when VAB is closed. I would recommend that you verify that the DSP program stopped properly upon selecting the VAB Stop command. Then, close VAB as normal. (4) The RIDE/VAB driver for the DSK5416 does not support programming of flash memory on the DSK5416 hardware. Regards, Steve

I want to capture a .gif file from a spectrum analyzer and save the file in PC, but I've got a problem when read data from the instrument. I'm not sure how to format the string got from the instrument , When I use "%s" or "%t" as the read string format the data got from the instrument is truncated.

Full spectrum Plot / Spectrum of Orbit

Dear Friends,
I would like to plot the Full Spectrum of Generator Shaft. I found some information about the same which I am reproducing below :
Full spectrum
The full spectrum is an additional diagnostic tool and is also called the spectrum of an
orbit. It shows the same information as an orbit but in a different format. It helps to
determine the degree of ellipticity (or flattening) associated with the various machinery
conditions along with the precessional direction for all the frequency components present.
To obtain the full spectrum, the orthogonal X and Y transducer signals are fed into the
direct and quadrature parts of the FFT input. The positive and negative vibration
components for each frequency are obtained. Positive is defined to be the forward
precession and the negative component as the reverse precession. These components
yield the following ellipticity and precessional information for a given orbit of any
particular frequency (1× or 2× or …):
• The sum of two components, forward and reverse, is the length of the orbit
major axis.
• The difference between the two components is the length of the orbit minor
axis.
• The larger of the two components, positive or negative, determines the
direction of precession that is forward or reverse.
One of the possible applications of full spectrum is analysis of the rotor runout caused by mechanical, electrical or magnetic irregularities. Depending on the periodicity of such irregularities observed by the X–Y proximity probes, different combinations of forward and reverse components are observed. The method forms the basis for many useful machinery diagnostics.
The full spectrum (just like the normal FFT) can be obtained in a steady-state analysis (a single FFT or waterfall) and even in transient analysis, which would then be called the full spectrum cascade (Figure attached).
I would like to know if anyone has the idea as to how to get this plot?
I am familiar with Labview and normal analysis tools available like FFT etc., but I need help in performing this Advanced Analysis in Labview.

Now I am able to open the VIs, however i am getting some errors in executing them, which I am attaching with this post. I hope you get some clues from the error lists and help me in sorting them out.I am sorry for bothering you so much :-)
