Lib32 Package Not Installing[SOLVED]

I am on a 64 bit arch system. I tried to install the lib32-bluez package from the aur with yaourt. Everything went well, but the 32 bit application I was running was still complaining about "libbluetooth.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory". So I went to /usr/lib32 and, of course, the library wasn't there. Is there another location that it could be installed to, or am I installing the wrong package?
Thanks for your time.

This is something one must keep in mind when using an AUR helper.  Some helpers - especially yaourt - hide too much of the process of building and installing packages and end up making it easy to miss things like this.  But if the input I gave here was enough to figure it out, it sounds like you know your way around AUR building well enough.  If it's all working now, please mark the thread as solved.

  • Cc package not installed?

Help! I can get my sun cc to get working! All I get is a message that says that "usr/ucb/cc: language package not installed". What does that mean? Does it says that the package is not in my machine? If it is where and how can i installed it back into my machine? Please help me. Thanks to whoever replies to me.

The cc program is included in the package SUNWscpu. You can check to see if that package is installed with the following command:
    pkginfo SUNWscpu
If you get an error about information for "SUNWscpu" was not found, then you dont have that package installed.
I'm not sure what you are trying to do, but if it is build a program from source code, installing this package will still not get you a working compiler. To install a compiler on solaris, you either need to purchase the Workshop compiler from Sun, or you can also use the free gcc compiler. You can download a version of gcc, in Solaris package format, from www.sunfreeware.com

  • ARD packages not installing

Been trying to send out a software update to about 30 macs. I have downloaded all the files from the software update and put them together with package maker. Whenever I try to send out the installs they go through the process of sending the file and installing but none of the updates end up being installed. The Computers are all running 10.6.8 with ARD 3.5.3 (although the 3.5.4 update is part of the package). Admin machine is running 10.7.5 and ARD 3.6.1. Any ideas?

I have a similar problem in my lab, where my admin machine is (like the rest of the lab) a CoreDuo iMac. Not only do package installations to multiple machines not work, but file copies to more than one machine either take forever, or fail outright. It appears that multicast is completely disabled when copies or installs are initiated by an Intel admin station.
My workaround is to use a G4 eMac as my admin station. Package installs and file copies to multiple machines (n<10) work MUCH better. There still seems to be an upper limit, however, to ARD's ability to multicast.

  • Task Sequence packages not installing after upgrade to R2

    Hi all
As the title suggests, I've upgraded my SCCM 2012 server from SP1 to R2. The OSD Task Sequences reach the stage where the client is installed, and ends after this point. However there are several software packages after this step that it is seemingly skipping
    entirely now.
Any idea why this might be?
    Thanks

    Ok,
After banging my head for a few days with that issue i saw the light at the end of the tunnel ( an not the
    train) today.
Long story short, the culprit was the boot image. I upgraded to 6.3 and everything in my TSs is working as
    it should.
    Here are the details:
The recall my issue, after upgrading SCCM from SP1 to R2, none of the software packages were getting installed
in a Task sequence. A TS runs up to the installation of the SCCM agent and then it quits.
Looking at the log file in  C:\Windows\System32\ccm\logs\smstslog I found the following errors:
Resuming Task Sequence in Full OS TSMBootstrap
Failed to get the environment key. TSMBootstrap
Failed to resume task sequence (0x800700EA).
Exiting with return code 0x800700EA TSMBootstrap
Earlier i mentioned that my boot images did not get updated as part of the site upgraded, so i went and updated
them to version 6.3 and after making sure it got deployed in a TS to make it available through PXE, my problem was gone.
this post helped me tremendously to realized that the boot image was the issue:

  • [SOLVED by xyne] Search for packages I have but are NOT installed?

    Hi all,
I run a couple of computers on Arch (both 64-bit), was just wondering if I could copy the /var/cache/pacman/pkg from one computer to the other, and then run some command to install from the cache all packages that are not currently installed. Basically it would be something like "go through all the packages in /var/cache/pacman/pkg, if any are installed ignore them, if a newer version is installed ignore them, but if no version of this package is installed then install it.

Save it as "list_pkgs", make it executable and then run it with
    ./list_pkgs /var/cache/pacman/pkg
It should spit back a list which contains all packages in the cache which are currently uninstalled, minus any packages which are dependencies of others. To install those packages, combine it with pacman:
    pacman -S $(./list_pkgs /var/cache/pacman/pkg)
This doesn't completely solve the issue of explicit versus implicit installation, but I expect that this would be more manageable than installing everything explicitly. I've commented on lines which can be uncommented to get a simple list which ignores dependency relationships.
Btw, the script isn't really as long as it might look. The compare_versions function, which I copied over from another module, nearly doubles the size of the script.

  • T410 System Update 4 - Intel Rapid Storage AHCI Driver "Package did not install" Error

I've not had a problem with system Update 4 until today.  I went out to check for any updates and there was only one (Optional) listed so I went ahead and tried to install it.
It is Intel Rapid Storage AHCI Driver for Windows 64bit.  The installed version is 9.5.7.1002 and the version trying to be installed is 9.6.0.1014.  The progress bar indicated it downloaded and tried to install, but ended with the error, "1 Package did not install."  Not a lot of help in that statement!?!
Has anyone had a problem like this before?  Any idea how to "fix" it so I can install this update?
I even tried once with MS Security Essentials, Windows Firewall and UAC turned off with no difference.
System details are in my sig, below.
    Thanks for any help,

Yup, that's what I ended up doing - download and install the standalone file.  Installed just fine

I'm having a problem updating the jdk7-openjdk package (jdk7-openjdk-7.u21_2.3.9-4). When I went to update via pacman, pacman replied that files existed in the filesystem. I removed the jdk and reinstalled, only to be told that the package still exists in the filesystem.

But when I go to check if it's installed:
    $ pacman -Q | grep jdk
    jre7-openjdk 7.u21_2.3.9-4
    jre7-openjdk-headless 7.u21_2.3.9-4
    $
The JREs are there, but the JDK is not. So somehow it's installed and not installed at the same time. How do I tell pacman that the installed package is not installed when it says it's both installed and not installed? Pacman -Rdd does not work as it's not installed. Pacman -S doesn't work as it's installed.

Thank you very much for your help. I greatly appreciate it. I only use pacman to upgrade, update, or remove anything. Even if the package is from the AUR; in which case I use the -U. In this case, I tried to install the JRE, JRE headless, and the JDK at the same time. All of the tanked, so I used the pacman -Rdd to remove the JDK package. That's when the trouble started.
If it's safe to use the --force command in this case, I'll try it.
    **UPDATE**
Looks like using the --force option worked. When I run the previous command, I get:
    $ pacman -Qo /usr/bin/appletviewer
    /usr/bin/appletviewer is owned by jdk7-openjdk 7.u21_2.3.9-4

Thanks again for the help! I'll mark the thread 'solved'.

  • LR5 will not install as part of the CC photography package

I just subscribed to the CC photography package of PS and LR5.
PS and Bridge installed ok but LR5 would not install.
    Received this error message:
----------- Payload: AdobeLightroom5CCMPkg-mul 5.2.0.0 {4b06fc24-6249-4c57-9830-6008a3ce9a80} ----------- ERROR: DW006: Apple Package failed to install successfully. ERROR: Third party payload installer Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.pkg failed with exit code: 1
    How can I install it?

Delete the Mag+ software and run the CC Cleaner tool ( Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 )
Then start all over by installing the InDesign demo again. All this said, there is very little chance that you are going to be able to grasp all of this in 30 days so be prepared to subscribe to Creative Cloud.

  • How to solve "this type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed"?

    Hi all,
I've just started using a new computer with WIndows 8.1 within the last week and have loaded my Adobe Premiere Elements 11.0 software into it.
In trying to view and edit a video I created on my old computer, I got "Media Pending" and "Media Offline" notices as soon as I began. The source files are located on an external drive with a permanent letter designation. I began the process of reconnecting my Project Assets files with the source files this morning, but have now encountered a new roadblock. Each time I try, I get the message "this type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed." It offers no information or options other than to click "OK," which is not very helpful.
All the source files are located in one folder on my external drive. I have been able to reconnect the JPEGs and the mp3 source files but not the AVI video files.
Here are three screenshots. The first is the "Media Offline" message, the second is the message I receive when I try to reconnect my Project Assets to the source files and the third is a screenshot of the codecs installed on the new computer.
Here is my new computer information:
    Model: Del Inspiron 3847
    Intel Core i5-4460
    CPU @ 3.20 GHz  3.20 GHz
    RAM 8 GB
    System type: 64-bit, x64-based processor
I hope someone can guide me. What do I need to do to solve this problem?
    Thank you.

Thank your for the information supplied.
But, what are the properties of this .avi file that you seek?
    Video Compression
    Audio Compression
    Frame Size
    Frame Rate
    Interlaced or Progressive
    Pixel Aspect Ratio
Right now of prime interest is the video compression that is being wrapped by that AVI wrapper/container.
    AVCHD.avi
    MotionJPEG.avi
    XviD.avi
    DviX.avi
    other
There are instances were a particular video compression or a particular container/wrapper format is each supported by Premiere Elements, but
not a combo of those particular two. But, in this instance, I suspect this to be a MotionJPEG video codec issue, but your details will
point us to the actual situation, and we will plan troubleshooting strategy from there.

The current iTunes 10.5 upgrade does not install on Windows 7 and indicates a faulty install package (error 2324). Advice or details on the release date for a proper fix? I'm not able to roll back to the prior version, so I'm stuck in limbo.

There have been a number of problems with installing the latest iTunes on Windows 7 64-bit machines during the last couple of weeks.  You might want to do a search on that topic and see if anyone has a solution.  There have been various versions of the problem but a lot related to errors in the download package or failure to download.
