Libraries panel is missing suddenly

Hi,
Yesterday i installed the update of Photoshop. I was happy that a new feature like creative cloud "libraries" appeared but when i restared photoshop some hours later, the feature disappeared suddenly. i cannot find it back anymore in my "window" menu or panels. How can i solve this. i re-installed photoshop several times but this did not solve the problem.

Hi Tommy,
Normally you should find your Library panel under Windows -> Libraries.
If not you may need to check under help (windows) if you are logged in (this is a requirement for this function). To get all to default setting test the down below steps.
1. Reset the preferences:
A:If a tool is behaving erratically, first try resetting just that tools preferences, via the method outlined by Len Hewitt in the post below this one.
If you have larger troubles, hold down Alt, Ctrl, and Shift keys (Mac: Command, Option, Shift) while starting up Photoshop. A dialog box will appear asking if you wish to delete the preferences/settings file. (How to delete/reset Photoshop preferences)
2. Try to rename the oobe and run PS CC 2014.2 again:
Mac OS: Rename the /Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE to OOBE.old.
Windows: Rename the following OOBE folders to OOBE.old:
\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
\Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

You may try the list (or go straight to 6) if you have updated to Yosemite without reinstalling).
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save curent artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Libraries panel kills tool shortcuts

Since updating PS recently, I've encountered a frustrating problem with the Libraries panel. Here are the steps to replicate it:
Select a tool (any tool)
Click inside the Libraries panel to put it in focus
Try to select a different tool with a keyboard shortcut (V for Move tool or A for Direct/path selection tool, for example)
Unless I am the only one experiencing this, you should fail at step 3. I have also noticed that Cmd+Z to undo also does not work. So in order to switch to a different tool after having added something to a library, I have to click the document so the Libraries panel doesn't have focus anymore. I can't figure out why this would be by design, but if it's a bug I don't see how they could have missed it.
This makes the new libraries feature unnecessarily cumbersome and frustrating to use, which is a shame since it could be a really handy way to store core UI elements for each project. I also don't understand why I can't highlight some text and click a color in my library to apply it to the selected text, but that's for another day I guess.
Anyone else having this problem? I'm on up-to-date Yosemite on a late 2012 iMac, and the most recent PS update.

Thanks for your reply. I am now at home, and experiencing the same issue on my brand new MacBook Pro 15-inch Retina, also running Yosemite 10.10 and up to date versions of the full CC suite. The iMac has an Apple keyboard and Logitech mouse attached, but the MBP has no peripherals at all. I'm in Norway, but my OSX is set to English. The machine at the office is a late 2012 iMac, with the same exact software. They were both upgraded from Mavericks, as opposed to a clean install, in case that matters.
Pressing ESC does not help. In fact, on the MBP the issue is slightly worse: clicking the document does not help, I have to click one of the other panels, like the tools or history panel. On the iMac it was sufficient to click the document.

Error in Libraries panel

I have some CC libraries that I access through the Libraries panel in Photoshop. It has stopped working on my primary machine and gives the error:
"Sorry, we couldn't initialize the panel"
It, however, works in InDesign. It also works fine in Photshop on my secondary machine. I have not been able to find any documentation about the issue and am not sure how to get the panel working again. A screenshot is below.

Yes, I have restarted the computer (many times). And I have used my
Photoshop CC on another machine and can access the panel there with no
problem. So I don't think it's a problem with my libraries themselves. I
can also access my libraries from InDesign CC on the same machine. It's
just Photoshop on one specific machine that has the issue.
And yes, I can open the Libraries panel options. I tried closing the panel
and then reopening it from Window > Libraries. But the problem persists.
Any other ideas? Is there any way I can get direct support from Adobe? I
wasn't able to find a place to open a support case. I need to get this
resolved as it is really impacting my workflow, as I share these library's
with other folks.

InDesign CC Libraries panel is blank

The Libraries panel in InDesign CC on my Windows 7 PC is blank. It shows up correctly in Illustrator and Photoshop. Any suggestions? All the apps show as updated in my Apps folder. Thank you.

Collection Panel is Missing

I recently upgraded to ver 1.4 and the Collection Panel is missing? The panel on the left contains Navigator,Library, Find, Keywords, Metadata, etc. but no collections? Any ideas as to how to recover this feature?

Duh! Thanks I wasn't aware I could disable (by accident of course) the panel options by right clicking on one and making the selection. Thanks so much.

All panels are missing from development module

Can anyone help me. I have been using lightroom for some time. Then today for some reason, not only did my basic panel disappear but also every other panel under the development module disappeared so I can't even right click on on say, the "Tone Curve" or "Lens Correction" to bring back the basic panel because every panel is missing. Can anyone help me? I have uninstalled lightroom and re-installed but still nothing. I have no idea how to fix this issue.

In develop, press Ctrl+1 (Cmd+1 on Mac) for the basic panel. Then right-click (control+click) to choose others.
Or use the Window menu.

Disk drivers are missing suddenly

My notebook(ProBook 4530s) disk drivers except drive "C" are missing suddenly today without any clear reason .
the partitions are shown in disk mangament but i don't have any acess to them . what can i do ?

Some Libraries/Assets are missing

I'm reposting this in the bugs list because I didn't get an answer from anyone in the regular list and I'm wondering if I'm one of a few that is having this issue.
I downloaded a couple muse libraries from Muse Resources and the items appear to be in my library panel. However, when I drag an item into my site, the assets panel says the asset is missing. Is there a place to store the library so the assets are always available? I can't publish using an asset that isn't there, can I? I've tried to import the library from the library panel and also double-click it. The items are listed in my library panel but not in the assets panel when I put an item in my site.
It looks like all of the assets that are in the (MR) Page Separators Set 1, all of the arrows in the (MR) Arrow Pack 1 bold and Pack 2 Hand Drawn - all of those are missing assets when I drag them into my muse site so I'm thinking maybe it's something I'm doing wrong? To get the packs into muse, 1 time I double-clicked the .mulib file and it appeared in my library, another time I imported it using the library panel. The libraries always show up in my library folder, the items are available for me to use in my muse site but many times the assets are missing from the asset panel. This also happened with a couple Muse Theme libraries I downloaded; one called Graphic Icons - 004 - Ribbons, all the ribbon assets are missing but the Muse Themes Arrow Kit (sample) are all there. Seems to be a hit and miss thing. I'm sure I installed the Muse Themes arrows & ribbons the same way but some are there and some aren't.

Could you please check if you have all these Libraries listed in AdobeMuseLibrary folder in the following location :
Windows 7: C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\your_user_name\Application Data
Mac: /Users/your_user_name/Library/Preferences/
If they are available, just open their folders and you should see a .muse file inside the folder (with the name of the name of the Library).
Try and open them and check if you get all the assets listed there or not. If yes, and still you are facing issues while using these libraries, I would suggest you to contact Adobe Muse chat support for realtime troubleshooting of the issue.

HT4927 I have OS 10.7.5 and iPhoto 11 -9.4.2 . My iPhoto is (was) split into 7 libraries created via iPhoto Buddy . Two libraries are now missing marked n/a in Buddy. Exactly how may I restore these 2 specific libraries from Time Machine.

I am looking for simple step by step assistance to restore 2 missing and important (to me) libraries in iPhoto via Time Machine.
Used iPhoto Buddy to create 8 libraries and this worked well until yesterday. Now these missing libraies are just marked n/a. The other 6 appear OK.
Don't resally know what I'm doing with Time Machine it has just sat there on a separate hard drive backing up... never had to call on it before.

PDFMaker Files Missing Suddenly - Is there a fix?

after last update suddenly get missing pdfmaker files do you want to run the installer in repair mode when trying to make a pdf. I've already spent a good amount of time on google and nothing i've tried seems to fix the problem.
Running Win 7 Pro 64 bit w/all updates, Office 2010 Pro 32 Bit w/all updates, Adobe Acrobat Pro XI w/all updates
So far i have verified that the Acrobat pdf maker add in was enable in ALL office applications of which it already was enabled.
I also uninstalled Adobe, cleaned all things adobe from the registry, did a fresh install of adobe, ran all latest updates and still get the error msg.
If anyone has something else I can try, let me know.

I had already done repair and a full re-install.
I actually just did powerful uninstall + reg/file cleanup of both acrobat and office 2010 then re-installed both after a reboot and it's now working!. I think the key was re-installing office as well as adobe since just a clean install of adobe didn't work the first time.

Front panel objects missing

I have a weird phenomena. I have a program that runs fine, does data acquisition and writes to measurement fine. All of a sudden, and in no scheduled way, all the front panel text disappears, which causes the write to measurement to fault because there is no text left to build the filepath. But the funny thing is, after pressing stop on the Labview error, the machine keeps running. There is a digital watchdog in the program that is supposed to stop the machine if the program stops. Anyone had this problem, with the front panel objects/text disappearing?

It sounds like you are running out of virtual memory. Here is a help article on how to extend the size of VM on your system (http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361H-01/lvhowto/enable_lrg_ad_aware/). Try this out and see if you still get the same behavior.
