Library collaboration not working

I'm trying to share libraries in CC however when I go to do this it keeps returning with "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again".
It's not only on my system, but also the people I want to collaborate with as well in various browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox).
I'm working on a Mac with OS X 10.10.2

This is still an issue for me and has been for over a week. Latest Safari and the latest Chrome, different emails, they all produce the same result for me.
Sounds like the same issue that @Quaetapo reported.

I have forked the discussion (from Library collaboration not working to a new forum thread and updated the topic to File collaboration not working.
Two things to try:
Clear the browser cache and cookies and see if the error goes away.
Open the browser's Developer Tools and go to the Network tab. Do you see any 4xx or 5xx errors (usually the call will be colored red).

Thumbnail view for Library copied from Asset Library does not work

Hello ,
I created list definition based on Assed Library (I copied files from \15\TEMPLATE\FEATURES\AssetLibrary\AssetLibrary ) - I reused schema.xml and other files.
Then I added my new custom content type.
The problem is following: thumbnail view does not work now ( "/AssetLibraryDemo/Forms/Thumbnails.aspx" )
I don't have any javascript errors and any specific error in ULS log.
Can you give me advice, why thumbnail view has stopped working?

I need to use "List teplates" gallery functionality for this task.

Enable/Disable Library Filters not working properly

I am running LR 3.4.1 on OS X 10.6.8. The Library>Enable Filters command does not work properly when I have a Library Filter set up to filter on more than on criterion. For example, I have a Library Filter preset called "Needs Location Keywords" that selects all images for which don't have "Location" as one of their keywords and which are not flagged as Rejected. In other words, there are two filter criteria applied: 1) TEXT: Keywords "Don't Contain" "Location"
2) ATTRIBUTE: Flag = Flagged OR Flag = Unflagged Toggling the Filter State by choosing Library>Enable Filters works as desired when the Filter State is changed to OFF; all images in the selected folder are displayed. However, when Library>Enable Filters is selected a second time, changing the Filter State back to ON, only one of the original filter criteria is applied, namely: 1) TEXT: Keywords "Don't Contain" "Location" However, ATTRIBUTE Filtering is NOT re-enabled as one would expect.
This is repeatable with different filter settings and different folders.
Is this behavior unique to my system or are other seeing the same thing?

It is a known problem, but certainly not widely-known. The filter columns don't work properly on custom fields when the field is text and when the entered value consists of more than one word. IIRC they work if the possible values are listed in the plug-in's field definition, or with "enum" fields.
Smart collections do work as expected with text custom fields.

Library sharing not working from all accounts

I am using iTunes Library sharing from my iMac to enable access to mucis & movies on ios devices on my local network. From my login on the iMac this works fine and the shared library appears on the "more" menu in the music app on my ipad whenever itunes is open on the iMac.
I have made the same set up on my daughters login on the same iMac but her shared library will not show up on any devices on the network. Her shared library is however visible in iTunes when I log into my account on the same iMac via fast user switching. Other functionality of itunes from her login seems fine & it can airplay to my ATV without problem.
There is no difference in the set up of iTunes between her login and mine: neither have home sharing enabled, and both have 'share my library on my local network/entire library' selected in itunes prefence.
I have tried with home sharing enabled and this made no difference.
I can only guess that there is a preference pane or similar in her login that is corrupted. Any ideas welcome.

I still cannot get Library Sharing to work, and I think it is a bug with Windows7 64 Bit Version:
1) Uninstall
I have uninstalled everything as per Knowledge Base http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
I even removed all regstry-entries pointing to Apple software (mainly under HKLM and HKLU). I removed all "Apple Computers" Folders in USER\AppData
2) Re-Install
Reboot & Clean reinstall
New empty itunes library (Removed old itunes Folder in MyMusic)
Imported one CD
3) Sharing
Turned on sharing in the settings.
Started up another PC: nothing:
Started up Apple Remote (2.0.1 - 229) on iPad (iOs 4.2.1): Entered correct four digit code in Itunes
A greyed-out Itunes symbol without a name appears (normally reading "BlaBlas Library")
4) Sharing Part 2
Using the other Computer (Notebook W32bit)
using sharing feature in the other direction (Notebook -> Windows 7 64Bit PC) works
Apple Remote to this PC also works.
5) Sharing Part 3
Created an entire Blank new User with a new empty Itunes Library. Imported one CD: Same Problem.
Conclusion: Bonjour or some other component of ITunes sharing is broken. What should I do. Can I leave a bug report somewhere?
Please help me!

I followed the instructions, but when i clicked 'continue' in the Library Upgrader to upgrade my older iPhoto library, the original message about how my iPhoto library needs to be upgraded popped up

Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)
And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhoto
And backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external drive

Save document from word into sharepoint library does not work !

Hi,
I'm trying to resolve a problem that i have with word and my sharepoint website.
Some of my users have to open and RDP session on a windows 2008 server and work from there. They open their session with their credential and they do everything they do in local on sharepoint using IE.
BUT, we have always and ever had an issue on this server as they c'ant save a document (Word or Excel) from office. They have to upload it from sharepoint uising IE. In example, i want to save my document from word into the sharepoint document library I have
this error message :
"Windows doesn't find (http://intranet.sharepoint.com/DocumentLibrary/). Check and retry".
If I open my sharepoint site and i upload the document it works perfectly. Also if I open and edit an existing document from any library it will work with word. The problem seems to happen when i want to browse sharepoint from word for saving files...
As this server is a windows 2008, IE version is 9 and the office version is the same as on all computers (Office 2010 SP2 32Bit)
Any help would by appreciated

Hi,
I understand you encountered the issue when save document from Office client application to SharePoint 2010 site.
Is there any Proxy settings in networking side? Please bring up IE > Internet options > Connections > Lan settings. If so, please uncheck options in Proxy server and test the issue again.
If you have deploy GPO to add SharePoint site into Trusted sites, please check if there is any other GP associated with trusted sites that might affect the issue. You could also remove it from Trusted sites via IE options and test the issue again.
In addition, please provide more error message to help narrow down the issue, you could locate error information in Event log at least.

ITunes10 64bit Bug: Library Sharing not working

Ever since I upgraded Library sharing stopped working (it last worked in Version 8).
I think the problem is with itunes 64bit. I just uninstalled all Apple Stuff (including Bonjour, Quicktime and Updater) and reinstalled, but still use the same Library.
Sharing from the Notebook (32bit Win7) to AppleRemote (Ipad) or the PC (64bit Win7) works.
But sharing from the MainPC (64bit Win7) on the remote network doesn't work.
I double-checked the Windows Firewall (itunes + bonjour are coming thru)?
Has anybody got more tips for me?

ITunes Library does not work after update 10.4

After updating 2 days ago to Lion,yesterday i must update Itunes to 10.4.
After updating Itunes 10.4 can not see my Itunes Library anymore on my Drobo(Ext HDD)
I've try everything but it don't work anymore.

Hi Michael, depending on which drobo you have, there are firmware updates you need to download from the drobo support site and install to your drobo, along with companion software on your new Lion system. You can probably do this from any mac that can see the drobo. Maybe even from Lion. For the first gen drobo (which I have) there's not yet a Lion firmware update.
Drobo (the company) says it's working on Time Machine, which for many people is failing to play nice with Drobo after the Lion upgrade. So you may have to wait a little longer for full Time Machine readiness.

ITunes Library Buttons Not Working

I have been using iTunes for a long time and have never seen this issue before, but now, when I open itunes, I can not use any of the links / buttons under the Library section on the left. I can open the iTunes store and navigate around just find, but when I click on any of the Library buttons, it attempts to load something but nothing actually loads.
For example, clicking on Music will load the Genius right sidebar (doesn't load the entire thing, but displays the gray box) but thats it. Nothing in the main area. When I click on Movies, I see the top tab buttons "Movies, Genre & Unwatched" but nothing in the body. Its like its completely hosed.
I've gone about fully uninstalling iTunes (and I mean FULLY) and re-installing, but I get the exact same results. Any thoughts on this one?

Put all your backed up music in the iTunes Music folder.
Start iTunes and it should all work... as a check set the preferences > advanced > general tab NOT to copy any files when adding to Library and DO keep iTunes Music folder orgaized... OK any changes.
From the file menu select 'add to library' and choose the iTunes Music folder.

Itunes library backup not working

I currently have a backup of my itunes library file as well as the itunes music. I lost the orginal xml file and when I open itunes, I get a blank database library. When I try to add to library, nothing happens.
Should I try something else to get the back up to take or do i need to import all the music into the library after I import the datafile?

Room content search in Collaboration not working

Hi,
I have created one collaboration room, it has documents and discussions. I have configured the indexing for the room. Now i am using the Search Room iview in collaboration for those particular room to search the discussion forum, it is working fine, but problem in searching the documents inside the room which gives result as 'file not found'.
But i am using Tool Area Search Option for searching the same content,it will display the files.
I followed the steps to create and configure the index.
System Administration --> System Configuration --> KM --> Index Administration --> create the index for those rooms.
I have set Datasource to "room_extension" in the index and "collaboration" folder for discussion search. please let me know if I miss anything.

Which template have you used for room creation- SAP std
or custom ? if custom think you may have to map iview
parameters properly for the search iview too.
It needs the following : RoomStructureRid = roomstructure_rid.

Preview window in Library is not working....

Hi all,
The preview window in the library is no longer working for about 50% of the items that I select. It used to work just fine, now I get nothing but a black screen at least half of the time. If I actually apply the item (behavior, filter, generator, emitter, etc....) to the project, I see the item working properly... just no thumbnail preview in the Library... any thoughts?

Well, I just seemed to have solved the problem...at least as I was experiencing it. As mentioned, I have my Motion content on an external drive, so I decided to revisit this.
I had installed all my Final Cut Studio content on the external drive using the "Content Installer" (after first installing the apps to my laptop). When opening Motion for the first time, it couldn't find the content so I manually typed in the appropriate path...or so I thought:
250GB Drive : Final Cut Studio Content : Motion Content.
Oddly enough, a few things worked this way, but not everything. It turns out I had to specifically point one folder deeper:
250GB Drive : Final Cut Studio Content : Motion Content : Motion
After doing this, all my content seems to preview, although there still are a few anomalies. Some things have to be clicked on more than once to preview, or sometimes I must preview something else first, then try the desired effect a second time. In some cases waiting quite a while produces something.
I'll try moving the cursor about as Mabou suggested and see if that makes any difference.
At least I'm getting somewhere!

Records Library Versioning not working

We have a records center with multiple record libraries.
The organizer rules are working correctly, and sending the documents to the correct record library.
What we can't seem to fix is the versioning. We are getting the underscore and random characters @ the end of the document name even though we have:
Versioning settings for the library to "Create Major Versions"
Content Organizer Settings are set to "Use SharePoint Versioning" in the "Duplicate Submissions" area
Please advise...as we'd like to view history via the "View History" context menu fly-out, and not have multiple rows for the same document upload.

Did the three files (test_uiux990.docx, test_iu883xs.docx, test_90xoytt.docx) have different Document ID?
You can modify the view to enable the Document ID to check whether they have the same document ID.
What’s more, you can also check the event log and ULS log to see if anything unexpected occurred.
Maybe the site had been corrupted. To narrow down the issue, you can use other record site to check whether it works.
To check event log, click the Start button and type “Event Viewer” in the Search box.
For SharePoint 2010, by default, ULS log is at
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS

Library search not working

Hi,
Having issues with search in lists/libraries.
Search is working and all needed content crawled (found in logs).
Same crawled documents found via search center but not in the library.
I've found strange search behavior:
Search center result pages gives everything I search for while default SharePoint search page (osssearchresults.aspx) shows no results at all (think they are connected).
Read some forums in here and I'm afraid none affect my problem.

It appeared that my AAM wasn't configured properly. Needed to add "www" to default entry.
