Library Contents Incomplete

Gotta say, though the new library's a big, helpful feature, I can't always figure it out.
Right now, right after I create a new software instrument, the library only shows me Jam Pack 1, though I have all of them installed. The loop browser sees them, but not the library.
I also have LP8 on my Macbook, and a new software instrument sees them all.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

I figured this out myself. I'm just postingin case anyone else gets this wrong.
The problem was that, though I'd installed my Jamp Packs on an external drive, I'd never actually installed their instruments on my boot drive. Whoops.

ITunes library contents at several HDs, how to move location?

I have a problem with having iTunes recognise that some of my iTunes library contents are being moved into another HD. I have only some most used music files at the internal HD of my PowerBook G4, and a huge video collection at an external HD, and now it has come time to replace that external HD.
I want to keep some of the files at the internal HD, and some at the external, and just to move those at the external ones into a new external. If I would give the new external HD the same name as the old one had, iTunes would be able to find and play the files normally. However I would like to give new external HD a different name, and that's where the trouble is: iTunes doesn't recognise the file path anymore. I wouldn't like to go through thousands of files individually and to point out where they are now.
In some previous version of iTunes I could do the iteration to new external HD simply by editing the xml copy of the library, and when I deleted the library file, then the library contents were read from xml automatically and new library was created based on the xml, and at that way I could by-pass this problem. However, that trick doesn't work anymore for some reason.
Reason for keeping some of my library contents at the internal and some at the external HD is simply that I don't want to fill my internal HD with seldom used video files and also to avoid prolonged backup times. I want to keep at the internal HD only some most used music files for listening while travel etc. Besides, current internal HD even hasn't nearly enough free space for all my library contents anyway. And I still would like to have the podcasts and some music at the internal one for listening while not connected to the external HD. I would also like to avoid loss of playcounts and other data that would happen if I would simply re-import the files into library from new location.
Suggestions how to solve this, anyone?

Downloaded Library Content still not showing up

Okay, so in the middle of a huge project I was watching a online tutorial on Encore CS6 about building a dvd menu. Well, the guy goes to his library and has all kinds of options for pre-made menus and buttons etc. etc. These buttons are missing for me.
I do some research and find out that for some stupid reason without letting you know Adobe requires you to download the button and(CS6 Functional Content)premade menus apart from my original CS6 download. Okay fine. I download the 1.1 gb file, install it, restart Encore, pull up my project and guess what? Still no buttons.
Am I missing something? I'm running OS 10.8.2 Mountain Lion.
There are a few ridiculous menu templates in there, but unless I want to let my client pull up a baby crib themed menu at their conference I don't know what else to do. And I can't build a blank menu either because I'm missing the buttons.
What I'm wondering is what exactly did I download and install?
If anyone can help it would be great, thanks in advance.

Adobe has handled functional content various ways, and it has often been optional downloads. But not the last couple versions or so. But this round has been a real mess. But the solution is available.
The step you have completed is installing the "functional content" and includes components in additional to the base Encore library for Encore and Premiere Pro.
On the page you probably used for the download, toward the bottom was the additional material you want.

I would be concerned too if I was not able to play my music in iTunes. It sounds like the music files may be in a location that iTunes is not expecting. I recommend reviewing the following articles to locate you music files on your computer:

Sync all devices to the same content in your iTunes library.
Older content? What kind? I could type in 2 pages of how to get other things from place to place but won't unless you have more specific questions.

Library content, specifically buttons

I've had production premium of CS6 installed since a few weeks after it came out. But... I've not needed to make a DVD until this week. So I just opened up Encore CS6 on my win7 machine yesterday for the first time.
One of the first things I notice is that there's no content in the example libraries. No menus, no buttons, etc. So I search around, find this:

So OK, Adobe left it out of the installation package. No one's perfect, and here's the instructions for doing the download. So I do that. Takes awhile, not too painful. Open Encore CS6, and sure enough there's some menus. Not many, but a few. But... no buttons. In any category.
So I close down Encore CS6 and fire up CS5. Tons of menus and tons of buttons.
I'm confused. I would think that there would actually be more in CS6 since it's the later and therefore more advanced product. And the CS6 version has been overhauled so I would think that there's new features to show off with new library content.
Since I don't have it, I have to ask the group: Is this normal? Or perhaps did my download fail? Or something I don't know enough to ask about? The big question is, how do I get the library buttons?

Yes, it links to the same thing as the section lower on the page you linked to which says "Additional Solution: Install the Resource Central library content." But the buttons are there.
I still can't tell what the intent of the change was. I do not think they just accidentally left it out. Encore has varied on the years as to whether the library was a separate download, part of what was called "functional content" on the install disks, etc. But this is still odd. Notice that the download that has the buttons is linked from the blog site?

Where is my ~Library/Content folder ?

On my MacBook Air with Maverick 10.9.1, I am trying to locate some Kindle book files that I know are in a subfolder reachable via the ~Library/Content path. However, when I navigate to the Library folder, there is no Content folder visible in it. I have used the InVisible app to un-hide all my folders, so I'm completely flummoxed.
The reason I know that these files should be there is that I ran the following command in the Terminal window:
        find . -name *.azw
And that command yielded the following results:
        ./Library/Containers/com.amazon.Kindle/Data/Library/Application Support/Kindle/My Kindle Content/Aesops-Fables.azw

There is no 'Kindle' file my 'Application Support' folder, either. However, the problem is that my own computer (via the Terminal command find . -name *.azw) is telling me that the files should be accessible via this path...
./Library/Containers/com.amazon.Kindle/Data/Library/Application Support/Kindle/My Kindle Content/
But when I go to the 'Containers' folder in the 'Library' folder, there is no 'com.amazon.Kindle' folder (or anything similar) visible -- even with all the folders un-hidden.

Flash CS5 randomly deleting library content

Sorry if this isn't the right sub-forum but it seemed to be the closest to my issue as far as I can see.

I'm working on a rather large project at work using CS5 Flash. The project involves loading several .swf files at different times from a main 'hub' type structure. Think of it as a multi-channel platform and when you click on the channel you want, it loads the sub-swf with the videos and movie clip contents/as code in it.
As one can imagine, this has cause the overall project to grow quite huge. When we open up the main fla file that contains the library content of it's children fla's, some files will randomly go missing. These files are being shared over a network with various people via a file repository system so no two people can be working on the same file at the same time. This doesn't appear to be the problem, nor is accidental deletion as an individual can check out the files, work on them locally, save them locally, close and reopen them locally and random content will be missing again.
We believe that the issue may have to do with the overall size of the fla's (the fla's range in size from 16mb to 3mb). They will be playing as stand alone objects, not on a website so other outside content isn't an issue. Some of the computers being used are 64 bit system while others are 32 but all systems have had the issue. We are also using AIR to help with some of the functionality but this issue started before we started using AIR.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Did you ever get any resolution with this issue? I am having this too, in multiple projects that aren't connected.
I even had the same exact MCs in the library in multiple FLAs just in case this happened. When it did, I attempted to drag the MCs from one FLA (where they were NOT deleted) into one where where they WERE deleted....thinking that I would be able to hit "replace" all since the MCs were named the same....when they appeared on the stage they were empty! It wasn't until I deleted the old MCs (with the missing content) that the new ones would show up when dragged over.
If you have ANY resolution to this please let me know. I am surprised that this isn't a major issue with more people.
I even have this issue on different Macs using different installed software!

You don't need to open iTunes to back up the library. See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates and look in the further information area for backup advice.

Shared Movies Library content refresh

I have iTunes running on my server streaming to my ATV. When I added a movie to the iTunes library it does not show up in the shared movies listing on the ATV (not in a timely manner anyway). I have been looking around for a means to force the ATV to refresh the library content listing but with no joy as yet. Is there a means to force ATV to update the library contents?

I find it very unpredictable - when adding things sometimes they appear instantly, not at other times.

Missing Library content.

I just installed CS 6.
Surprise... no Encore Library Files. Got Adobe Help notes that said I needed to install the "Resource central libraty content"... which I did, and I now have "Menue Templates" and that's all.
Where are the Libraries for "Buttons, images, backgrounds, shapes", etc?

I hear that! Resource Central was (I think; never really dealt with it till it came to this issue) a more centralized repository/resource for functional content (even that word, a years old Adobe term is not exactly "plain English"!). And the term used is just "Resrouce Central" plus "Library content." See how simple?
The problem is that they seemed ot have in the beginning that users would not miss the buttons etc. Boy did we! They could have easily pointed users to the right files/instructions.

Most are, guesses on my part, not making DVDs with Adobe products (and the only one is Encore). Some are hi gh end pros usoing scenarist or other expensive top line programs; some are using other products similar to Encore; and some are hobbyists using more simple template only apps (e.g. windows movie maker; imovie, etc).

How to import CD's/tunes to syst HD but keep library content on external HD

This has probably been asked before but here goes: I want to keep library content on an external USB drive but import stuff to my internal HD because it's faster. (The USB took almost an hour to import 1 CD!}
But I don't know the best way to do this. As of now I am importing to my internal drive & then copying or dragging files over to the USB. But I now have a library on 2 drives & I want to keep itunes content on the USB & leave my system drive more space. So there must be a more elegant way to do this.
Is this a case for using an alias? I am not too clear on how to use them. I think I read somewhere that you could keep the Library structure on the system drive but the actual music on an external.

I only signed up to creative cloud so that I could use encore for authoring a blu-ray using a template but no library content is available. Can someone please tell me when this is going to be available so that I can inform my client of how long they are going to have to wait.
As I am not able to use the facilities as advertised can someone reassure me that my months payment will not commence until encore is fit for purpose?
