Libreoffice/ chrome in dual X screen set up

is it possible to have two chrome browers / libreoffice open each on each X screen? on my set up the second will always open on the screen the first one was opened.

I am also considering this option but here's what I discussed w apple.. I currently have 27 inch imac and 13 airbook. I do a lot of work at home but needed to be portable on the road and need files in sync. There didn't seem to be a software solution to keep all of my files in sync so what I have decided to do is keep all of my relevant work files (so only one version and wont' get confused w version control) on my laptop. When at home I drive everythign off of my iMac and use the laptop as an external hard drive via Thunderbolt connection. I am planning to add the 27 inch Thunderbolt display soon. Either way I drive everything off of the iMac.
By keeping the work files on my laptop when I need to travel everything is there the minute I take my laptop with me. I have also loaded all programs onto both computers. Therefore I can work on those files from either computer.
Does this work for anyone? Does this sound like a reasonable solution or am I underutilizing the computers. All thoughts are welcome.

Mixer window won't stay put w multiple monitors/screen sets

so i have 4 monitors, 3 of which are together and 1 off in another area for other stuff. this is done w 2 standard apple video (Nvivia GT120) cards and a few monitors. the middle one has a higher res than the others but not so much to need the dual dvi.
i want to display the mixer window across all 3 of my main monitors for a full overview in that particular screenset.
the PROBLEM here is that as soon as i switch to another screenset or even select that same screen set while viewing it, the mixer window snaps to allignment w the center monitor so that the left monitor has nothing on it and the right half of the mixer window has fallen off the right screen.
it works just fine when i only spread the mixer across two monitors. but even then sometimes it alligns to the center monitor after while.
is there some setting im missing here?

Awe crap! Sorry for the repost. I was looking at the recent activity screen n didn't see my post from earlier today so I thought it didn't get posted. My bad. Apple forum newbie mistake.
But still.. What gives?

MSN Messenger uses wrong inbuilt webcam for video chat on triple screen set up. It uses a cinema display webcam not the iMac webcam.

For some strange reason if i attach my 2 apple cinema displays to my iMac to make a triple screen set up msn messenger video chat does work but it uses the apple cinema display inbuilt webcam and not the iMac webcam. Its annoying as i have to turn sideways to get into the video call view.
So i have a set up like this: an apple cinema display thunderbolt, then in the middle an iMac new then to the right of the iMac another apple thunderbolt cinema display. WWhen i use MSN messenger to make a video call it uses the inbuilt webcam on the far right apple thunderbolt cinema display and not the inbuilt webcam in the iMac in front of me, its annoying any ideas please.
If i unplug both side cinema displays MSN messenger uses the inbuilt camera on the iMac like normal but when i use extra screens it uses the webcam built into those and not the iMacs webcam.

I would try with another client like skype or something
and if it's only msn messanger which have the problem it may
be more of a question for ms's forum?

HT6150 Did the recent Mavericks update and now I am getting the screen "Setting Up Your Mac" It has been this way for an hour...and nothing is going on.

AS soon as I log in I get this screen "Setting Up Your Mac..."
It has been on the computer for quite a while and I can not get back to my desktop.

Here was the answer I found that worked:
Command-Shift-Option-Esc (hold for three seconds) for Force Quit the front-most application (Mac OS X v10.5 or later)
That got to me a new page where I had to enter my security key chain ID, but then wouldn't go any further. So i have rebooted - and lo and behold it opened up OK. It has asked me for a security question, but it now seems to be working OK!! Thanks - hope you get your problem sorted also. I should have copied the name and did not...sorrry.

Bionic stuck on Motorola Dual Core Screen fix and replacement return

Recently, as the subject suggests, my phone is stuck at the Motorola Dual Core Screen. It will load this screen after hooking up to the computer or charger, and stay there. During this time, it doesn't charge the battery and the battery becomes drained. I am waiting on a replacement to be delivered, but in the meantime, I think I have figured out how to fix the problem.
If I were to receive the replacement, but fix my current phone without opening the replacement, what is the process of returning/cancelling the replacement that was sent to me??

Phone is stuck on "Dual Core" Screen.

My phone is stuck on the "Dual Core" screen. It will not turn on or off. I've tried rebooting, had no luck. Was able to get to a FastBoot screen, but only tells me my phone is locked, then goes back to the "Dual Core" screen again. Help!

Unwanted screen heading(Tab) in a screen set having only one screen.

We are at the initial phase of go live of SAP Work Manger-6.0 for one of our client.
We found one strange behaviour as mentioned below.
We have one screen set(at bottom),which is part of a tile view(contains two screen sets), The screen set at bottom contains only one platform(Ipad) and only one detail screen(buttons at the bottom of the screen).
It works perfectly fine but sometimes the look and feel gets distorted, which causes an issue to the end users.
I mean, some times the screen appears as a tab with a black row and a blank yellow box(as highlighted in red in the 2nd screen). Which reduces the size of the screen and hence the buttons become very small in size.

Agentry Client-6.1.5.49 (WPF)

If you are talking about the transaction IW42 and how to set each user's settings you would use menu path Extras -> Settings, choose the appropriate Confirmation profile, and Save. Each user will have to perform this action in IW42 to set the default screen layout. The confirmation profiles are set up under Set Screen Templates for Completion Confirmation in the IMG path Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Maintenance and Service Processing -> Completion Confirmations -> Set Screen Templates for Completion Confirmation.

Weird display behaviour on MacPro 3,1, 2 screen set-up

Hi I recently went to a 2 screen set up running off the standard ATI Radeon HD 2600 Graphics Card which was pre-installed on my MacPro 3,1.
(A) Monitor one is a 24" Widescreen Syncmaster SMBX2440 (LED) connected DVI-D to DVI-D
(B) Monitor two is a 19" Samsung Syncmaster 192v (LCD) Working fine via a VGA Adapter from a DVI-D port.
All has been working fine for about 2 months with no problems whatsoever, but recently the main LED monitor (A) has started displaying weird graphic 'smears' across the screen momentarily, for a few seconds and then gone. I find these 'Smears' really intrusive, and have been wondering what is causing them. I managed to get a screenshot of one:
These smears also occur when viewing or interacting with any Flash content. As the screenshot worked, I can only summise that the problem is not with the monitor or the lead which connects it but is an internal issue with my computer.
I am wondering if my Graphics Card is failing, I have swapped the ports over for the monitors but it's still the main LED monitor (A) which shows these smears and not the LCD Syncmaster (B).
Can anyone shed any light on what's causing these 'smears' and suggest a potential fix. I don't mind replacing the graphics card, but I'd rather know it'll fix the problem before investing.

Parent WPF Client Window not on top after closing a screen set

Hi all,
I am observing some strange behavior with the WPF Client (SMP 2.3 SP 4). When closing a screen set (window), sometimes the parent window is in the background (meaning some other windows programs are on top of them) even if the parent window was on top of everything else before. It is not totally reproducible, but it happens quite often. It happens for overlay screens as well as for normal ones, I just don't see a pattern right now. Has anyone else observed this behavior?

I have seen this with the WPF but typically only with the Module screen. Once I get into the application screens they typically are in the correct position. I also don't have specific repro steps but if you find some please contact support so we can get an issue logged to have it addressed.

Unable to transfer home screens setting from iPhone to iTunes

I refreshed my PC. Installed itunes and connected my iPhone ? However the home screen setting on my iPhone is not syncing into itunes (screenshot 1). When I check on the Sync Apps checkbox, the factory setting home screen comes up (screenshot 2). Please let me know how I can transfer the home screen setting from iPhone to iTunes.

That is because you are establishing a new sync relationship with a new library. You're going to have to re-build your home screen(s) from scratch.

Anyways, there's still nothing in this thread that actually explicitly says "there is a file called VolcanoApp.java in the directory where I'm running javac from" and I really can't be bothered banging my head against the wall any longer. You've made a silly mistake, or a false assumption. We all do it from time to time. My advice is, take a break, go for a walk and re-visit this in a while. You'll probably spot the mistake right away.

DROID 3 Dual Core Screen

Im on my 3rd DROID in 18 months, few shut downs a day for the last couple months, until now its stuck on the dual core screen. some days it would boot up after an hour or 2. Took it to the verizon store and the tech insisted on wiping it again, now its stuck on the Dual core screen. Tried the Hard reset and no difference.
Do other peoples phones work fine or is this engineered obsolessence.

I have the same issue and would like a solution as well.
