Libretto W100: Blio software - wrong format & text isn't limpid

i'm trustworthy client Toshiba because i think is fantastic farm and wide industry electronics producer but i'm very surprised when i' ve bought W100 libretto model last week.
I've tried to install *BLIO* SW for because i would like to use this model like ebook reader in dual screen mode.
This new philosophy machine i think is right for this use but i think there are a lot of problem to achieve success.
In this particular plan of operations i have seen that there are two essential problem;
- first there is not right format layout of page on display dual screen mode and
- second the text font i think isn't limpid like windows .

I think Libretto W100 is a great device with the dual 7 displays. It can be used for different purposes and not only for ebook reading
However, I think there are different applcations on the market which can be used for ebook reading and I think your feedback is related especially to the Blio software.
I cannot say anything about this tool. I dont use it.

Libretto W100-10D - What software is needed to use GPS

i've any question about this device and exactly i would like to know if is possible install in libretto W100-10d any particular SW that use potential board installed on it.
This model has one feature board Erickson F3607 model to use this device like 3G network and also has GPS but i don't know how is right SW to use map like Garmin Tom Tom or other.

I have checked specification about your Libretto and WWAN card F3607gw is defined as GPS supported so you asked really interesting question here.
Unfortunately following Toshiba support page I didnt find any software recommendation.
Im not expert on this but there must be some software designed to be used with Win7 and has control over this GPS functionality.
Try to talk with your local dealer or mobile phone experts. I think they have good experience with this stuff.
If you will find solution please let us know. It can be very useful info for other Libretto owners.

How do I use Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 Live View to copy complex formatted text into web page?

Since Design View has been removed from Fluid Grid Layouts, and could be removed completely in next upgrade, I cannot use Live View to place complex text into my web pages.
Our business requires the listing of complex job descriptions on our web pages. Design View worked fine, Live View does not. Both examples are noted below.

Obviously, as seen above, I'm doing something wrong or Live View does not do all the functions that Design View use to do. I realize I can still access Design View in non-Fluid Grid Layout documents and that is my current work-around. I copy from my Word file into Design View available in non-Fluid, then copy that code into my Fluid Grid Layout document, not real efficient use of my time. And, even that work-around may not be available after the next upgrade.

However, I do not believe the reply is on point since I'm not discussing the insertion of an HTML tag/element; but rather, the placing of complex formatted text into my various web pages.
Design View and 2014.1 Live View seem to serve different functions. That is, Design View, for us, serves as a highly sophisticated HTML5 code generator that allows us to properly display complex formatted text that originally is created as a Word docx file. As I noted in my original post, the complex formatted text from the Word file is then pasted into Design View and thus properly renders on the web page. I invite you to try this yourself. Simply copy my properly formatted text in my original post (that can be found at "Using Design View the web page rendered this way:") to a Word file, and it will retain the complex formatting, then copy that Word file text to both Design View and 2014.1 Live View files. Please apprise me of your results.
Discussion has been had in at least two separate threads on the Design View disappearance in Fluid Grid. In https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1597260 staff member Lalita wrote "It would be helpful for us if you list the issues you are seeing with fluid grid live view editing." And in https://forums.adobe.com/message/6807088#6807088 staff member Subhadeep wrote "If you can list down the workflows you are trying while editing in Live View & the issues you are facing in doing so, it will help us understand what is amiss & suggest alternative workflows to do the same." I believe I've pointed out issues when attempting to use Live View for functions or work flow that customarily had been done in Design View.
Being a CC subscriber, if someone can provide me with a workflow using other additional Adobe products to get my complex formatted text from Word ultimately to my Dreamweaver web page, be it an image insert or whatever, I would take the suggestions.

It is readily apparent that Design View is a much needed code generator in the Dreamweaver product. Live View serves completely other, and needed, purposes. Therefore, I still, after all the forum discussions, do not understand why Design View has been removed from Fluid Grid.

And that problem is this: If Design View is on its way out and thus will be completely removed from Dreamweaver at some point, then how do I provide my information (i.e. complex executive job descriptions) on my website?
Apparently a vote is taking place https://forums.adobe.com/ideas/3922 on the issue of placing Design View back into Fluid Grid. I do not understand why the need for two rather disjunctive functionalities are at the mercy of the democratic process. These are matters of engineering principles not "town hall gatherings".

How to use formatted text in a static text/laben(or other) component?

Hello everyone,
my web application reads a VARCHAR from a SQL Server database which is bound to a static text/label component. The problem is that I don't manage to include line breaks this way.
Is there any way to do it? It doesn't have to be using a static text or label component, I just want to display formatted text on a web page which was read from a database.

unfortunately it doesn't work this way(or I am doing it wrong as I don't know anything about css)
If I set white-space: nowrap the text is displayed in one single line ( so probably I implemented it the right way)
but with white-space:pre he still ignores all the whitespaces!
reading the same text (from a microsoft sql server table)with a textarea component all whitespaces and line breaks are shown! there has to be a way to make the static text or label component act this way(I don't want to use the textarea component because it's ugly and doesn't serve for my purpose).
can anybody help me?
edit: observation:
if I use "nowrap" for the textarea component he still keeps all whitespaces WITHIN the string but displays the whole string in one line
but somehow he deletes white spaces in the beginning of the string
the static text/label components delete all whitespaces before AND within the string

Is there any way to paste formatted text into muse, and have it stay formatted?

I have a client who sends material to me with intricate formatting (italics and bold only) for posting on the website. Is there any way to avoid losing that formatting when I paste it into Muse? If not, I have several hours of work to format everything all over again, every time he sends an update? Any suggestions?

Ok, so I have figured out how to do this. For those of us who have a large amount of formatted text to paste on a website, but don't want to have to take the time to format every individual word or line, the solution is to embed the following html code:
<iframe src="filename.html" width="600" height="300" scrolling="yes"></iframe>
and replace "filename.html" with a the name of a plain html document created from some other software where you can paste formatted text. Muse will pick up the html document as an included file in a window with a scrollbar. It's actually pretty slick.

Allready been there many times, downloaded many things!!

She was as frustrated as I and was going to kick the problem "upstairs." She felt that by now iCloud had been out long enough for them to have resolved the issues without having to resort to fixes from the outside (so in essence, I would have to say that she agrees with you that they should be able to provide a resolution for their own software).
I have more than just that issue on my MBP (iPhoto keeps asking me to "upgrade" everytime I open it, old Safari windows open when I restart or turn the machine on from a shutdown....I think it's possessed. I'm able to do everything that I want to do, but it's very annoying....) and so I'll be working with her again when she returns to work on Monday. I do have to say that she doesn't rush and has spent at a minimum 2 hours each night for the last 2 nights with me over the phone (talk about califlower ear!)
She had me do a reinstall of Lion last night and as far as I can tell, it fixed nothing....

Can't format text when entire text box is selected

I'm having trouble with text formatting. I have a document in which I can't format text at all if the entire box is selected; all formatting menus are grayed out. (I can format text if individual lines are highlighted using the cursor.) I've tried resetting preferences and resaving the document using IDML. If it matters, I'm using OSX Mavericks, iD CS6, and the Suitcase Fusion extension. Can anyone help?

Are selecting the text, or the frame? If the latter, you can only format text when selecting the frame if it isn't threaded to other frames. For the former, turn off suitcase, to start, and if that doesn't change things see Replace Your Preferences

How to get formatted text into arrays

Dear experts and helpers,
For my project I import an RTF file and then read the data from it into 3 arrays. This works fine when just using the string contents of the paragraphs. However, the final script should be able to read and replace formatted text...
Why use the intermediate arrays? Because otherwise I need to switch back and forth between two fm-documents (and one may be a book component).
The imported file starts with a number of lines separated into two items by a TAB (» denotes a TAB, in FM \x08)

The right item may also be locally formatted text, e.g. [9]
Then follow the same (or smaller) number of paragraphs with formatted text like this:

Is it possible to replace in the body of the function below the following piece

Working with text is about the most complicated thing to do within FrameMaker. It seems counter-intuitive, since it is about the easiest thing to do with the GUI. But alas, once you remove the ability to select with a mouse and type with a keyboard, text becomes a wild jungle of complexity.
Text ranges are not too bad, once you get the general idea. It is just that... a range of text, like something you would select with a mouse. Like a mouse selection, it starts before some character in some paragraph and ends after some character in some paragraph. It may be the same paragraph, which is a selection within a paragraph. The character can even be the same, which is then just an insertion point (cursor) somewhere.
So, a text range is a data structure that defines two paragraphs and two characters. In the jargon of scripting, the character is called an "offset." An offset is simply the number of characters past the beginning of said paragraph, where 0 is the beginning.
For example, if you want to capture the first five characters of a paragraph as a text range, you can do this, where 'pgf' is some paragraph object:

textRange.beg.offset = 0;
textRange.end.obj = pgf;
textRange.end.offset = 5;
If you want to capture a whole paragraph, change that last line to the number of characters in the pgf, or you can do this:
textRange.end.offset = Constants.FV_OBJ_END_OFFSET;
...where that constant is just some built-in thing that means "get me to the end of whatever." It's a convenience of the interface.
I'll also note that a text range is actually just an array of two text location structures, one named 'beg' and one named 'end.' If you think of a text location as defined by paragraph and an offset from the first character, maybe that will make more sense.
Text item structures are a whole new mess of complexity. I can't possibly go into an explanation of them here.
I think that many ES developers (definitely myself included) still use the FDK documentation because it is considerably more comprehensive. The two interfaces are largely parallel, but of course somewhat different in the language syntax. Consider that as a potential resource.

Libretto W100 cursor problems

Hi,
I have lots of cursor problems on a new Libretto W100. Using the cursos field on the display it move it in exactly the opposite direction on the top screen. So I go to the right-below, the cursor moves in left-up direction. The only way I found to stop this problem is a complete reboot. And then it works OK, but when I close the lid and leave it alone for for example two hours, come and activate it the problem reappears. I especially not even touching the screen(s) to avoid confusing the machine. But I can consistently reproduce it.
Very annoying. Any one seen this and/or has a solution?

I found that the screens work properly after updating the various software updates on the toshiba download site. It is not very clear on the site which ones are essential but I used the registry patch and the software suite upgrade and things are better. Only remaining problem I have is that the touch pad no longer works- anyone got a solution for that?

As I understood your original post, you have installed new Windows 7 system on this Libretto W100 device. Right?
Now the question: did you install the essential Toshiba software?
On the Toshiba EU driver page you can find drivers and tools for Libretto W100.
The +Libretto Software v 1.0.22.00+ is an essential part and its strongly recommended to install this part!

Missing Format Text, Insert, and Edit Source, etc Options on Some Pages

I’m having trouble understanding why certain pages have more edit options than others. I’m new to Sharepoint Workspace 2010 and I’ve been reading/ researching for answers for 2 days now. I tried to HyperSnap in some pictures however it will not allow me
to until my account is verified and it's not sending a verification email, sorry!
Issue:
On some pages, I have the edit pencil with lots of great edit options such as Format Text, Insert and Edit Source. (This is good!)
On some pages I have no edit pencil, but when I go to Page
à Edit Page à I get few edit options, not including Format Text, Insert or Edit Source. (This is not good)
After reading other somewhat similar posts, I noticed that on the pages where I get lots of edit options, they show SitePages in the URL. Where I get few edit options, SitePages is not in the URL.
Is there a fix so that I can have the expanded edit options in all of my pages? Thank you for your help!

In SharePoint we don’t have edit page options [ribbon toolbar page edit formatting options] for all types of page for application page we cannot edit application page like site pages
again the missing edit button might be due to many causes:
Can you verify that it's not a permissions issue? Try navigating to the page in edit mode by appending to the url: your-site/Pages/YourPage.aspx?ControlMode=Edit&DisplayMode=Design
Or you can try this
your-site/Pages/YourPage.aspx? ?ToolPaneView=2
1. You can check that on some pages the ribbon is hidden by default. You need to make it visible by clicking on "Show Ribbon" on the "Site Actions" drop-down menu.
2. You haven't been doing Visual Upgrade (which actually replaces your master page with the v4.master)
3. If you have different master page and may be your master page is not 100% compatibile with SP2010, nor does it use the elements from v4.master (collaboration) or the example nightandday.master
To add the button in your page you could use the <SharePoint:PageStateActionButton id="PageStateActionButton" runat="server" Visible="false" /> (if you've seen already that would generate the button on the left side of
the ribbon)!

Adding data file to the existing tablespace given wrong format file name

while adding the data file existing tablespace. i given wrong format '/dev/oracle/data/user_data_02' i miss the .dbf extension for this data file.
Alter tablespace ts2 add datafile '/dev/oracle/data/user_data_02' size 200m
the data file was created.
So i want to know. What will happen if the data file is wrong format?

it doesnt matter what you name the file. oracle will be able to use it. if you need to change the name to meet your naming conventions, then you will need to take the db down and rename the file at the OS level and then startup mount to rename the file at the DB level.
why are you puting files in /dev? Thats for devices.

Can't Open Numbers file, wrong format

I have a friend who has created 3 numbers spreadsheets. I can not open them on my mac.
On my Mac with mavericks , I get error can't open file. What does this indicate, they can take the same file and make it an Xcel and I can open.

Update #3 .. I tried to install an old version of numbers. Interesting enough files still error, but they error with the error reported on iCloud.
