Libx32-glibc won't install due to gcc-multilib-x32 dependency

I'm trying to install the libx32-glibc package (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/libx32-glibc/) which does not list any dependencies on the package web page. However, when I try to install it, it shows this message:

I need libx32-glibc to install gcc-multilib-x32 which gives this message when trying to install:

How can I get gcc-multilib-x32 to install? I tried removing the dependency check in the PKGBUILD but that had other issues.

The circular dependency was made intentionally, it is actually the same circular dependency you can find in the main repo: gcc -> gcc-libs -> glibc -> gcc (make). Because making glibc requires a valid gcc while gcc requires glibc to be functional.
To build this, you actually need the packages glibc-x32-seed and gcc-x32-seed. Then you can build libx32-glibc to replace glibc-x32-seed, then eventually gcc-multilib-x32 to replace gcc-x32-seed.

If you are getting a S.M.A.R.T. error then you should be more worried about losing everything on your drive then about upgrading your Mac OS. Regardless of if you are running Mac OS, Linux, or Windows, you should never just disregard such a drive error. S.M.A.R.T. is designed to give you a warning that your drive is statistically having far more errors than normal and should be backed up immediately and typically replaced.
In your case, it's likely a coincidence that your drive is failing at the time you are attempting to upgrade to Yosemite. You should stop what you are doing, backup your drive (if you don't already have the backups that you should prior to any OS upgrade), and replace the hard drive prior to moving forward.
To make it clear, your hard drive is likely going to fail soon and you may lose everything on it at any moment. This failure has nothing to do with Yosemite or any Mac OS. All hard drives fail at some point. Hopefully this S.M.A.R.T. notice has given you the opportunity to solve a major problem before it gets worse.

App won't install due to lack of space - with enough space on the phone

I try to install the navigation TomTom western Europe with size 1,6 gb. ITunes and phone says that I have 2,7GB free, but it refuse to install due to lack of space?

Navigon needs at least 3.3gb to install(Twice the apps size, at a minimum). To make sure you have enough space you should allow no less than 4gb. The space will be freed up once installation is complete.

How can I select the minimum size of Elements 10? It won't install due to lack of disk space on C:

I have just purchased and downloaded Elements 10. Can't install it due to insufficient disk space on my C drive. I have enough space on my D drive, but it will not install there, probably because my sustem files are on C drive. The Install wisard does not provide for a selection of the size of Elements 10. Is there a way to select the minimum size? If so, how can I do this?

There is not an option to customize the installation. The system requirements for Photoshop Elements 10 request that you at least have 4 gigabytes free, plus more for installation, how much free space do you have on your C drive?

LR won't install due to exit code 7

I have LR 3 installed and now I joined CC and it won't finish install, I just keep getting this error message.

ITunes 10.1 64 bit won't install due to admin. rights when I am the admin.

Not able to install the new version of iTunes. Shows need to change administrator security to allow update. I went to iTunes (x86) and clicked on properties and tried to change administrator's and it won't allow me to make the change...I'm the only administrator and user of this computer. Unable to uninstall the program...tried deleting the program files and not able to install or use iTunes and also won't allow me to change Bonjour (whatever that program is?) How do I resolve this problem so I can install iTunes in order to use my iPod with my laptop - Windows 7 - 64 bit...

I went to upgrade my itunes to the 7.3.2 and it froze in the middle of it. I restarted my computer and then my itunes won't show up nor download. I tried to use the apple installer and it gets most of the way through when the following message appears: "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2330." I have tried installing the program on it's own using tools--> download only and that did not work. I also tried using a different user account and that also did not work. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am using a PC and have windows XP. Thank you.

Itunes won't Install due to Gear driver

Numerous attempts to install Itunes has failed. I'm receiving an error message that says: Unable to install the GEAR driver set at this time. Teh GEARAspiWDM service use by the GEAR driver set is scheduled to be deleted during the next system reboot. Please reboot the system and run iTunes again.
Needless to say, I've rebooted the system too many times to count and I'm still receiving this message. Any solutions? Please help.

ITunes won't install due to package problem - Error 2330

I tried to install iTunes 8 yesterday for the first time and when I launched the Apple Installer and it gets most of the way through when the following message appears: "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2330."
I ran the installer again and created a log file of the install process if that could help someone?!?!
Any information would be greatly appreciated. This is my first time dealing with Apple as I received an iPod Touch as a gift the other day and now cannot connect it to get it working!
I am using a PC and have Windows Vista Home Premium.

2330 is: Error getting file attributes
Often with error, a file name is mentioned - sometimes there is a corrupt file.
It is worth running a disk check to see if a filing system error shows up.
If nothing shows up and you can identify the problem file, sometimes renaming if or containing folder, assuming it is within an iTunes related folder.
Otherwise, if no file was mentioned, maybe you could search through the log file for error messages or 2330 to see if anything shows up that may indicate what the problem is.

Itunes won't install due to permission error???

iTunes will not let me install because every time this thing pops up and says I do not have permission to the files. Some HKEY file but I am the administrator. When I go to the registry edit it will not let me change who has permission.I also cannot delete them. What do I doooo?!?! Please help

-Control Panel - User accounts - Turn User access control on/off and uncheck the box and reboot. Repeat steps but check box and reboot to re-enable the service.

ITunes won't install due to quicktime

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, however i cannot install itunes on my computer anymore. Everytime i try it tells me that my version of quicktime is too new! i have quicktime version 7.2, trying to install itunes 8.1 and if i uninstall everything, the iTunes install freak out too!
I am totally confused! Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I take it your not using Apple Update, Correct? If so What you could try doing is uninstall Quicktime and then try and install both from the stand alone installer found: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

I've been having a similar problem--
Here are the exact words: "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2908." fyi, the message came up just after the installer began "updating component registration," if that is of any use. I've tried re-downloading it and restarting the computer. I've tried what the customer service reps told me which was to stop the iPod service and the apple mobile device service during installation but i couldn't find "apple mobile device" on the list. so i tried just stopping "iPod service". that didn't work. please, please help I am at my wit's end with this.

Leopard won't install due "Machintosh HD unbootable"

Hello, waited in line today at my local applestore here in Sweden to get hold on my copy, got home and fired the disc up.
The leopard installer booted up, and my disk showed up. The problem however is that the Leopard Installer describes "Macintosh HD" as unable to boot from that partition (even if i normally do it). Is there some way to get past this?
And no, a clean format isn't in my spectra. Takes too much time to reinstall all my apps. Can't work on Monday if that is the case.
Upgrade or Archive and Install (I prefer Upgrade) is what i desire to do.
Please help me!

There are two different buttons, one on the left, and one on the right. One says "Repair Disk Permissions" and the other just says "Repair Disk" You're sure you clicked both?

Windows 8, Firefox 16.02 won't install due to side-by-side configuation

Using a Sony Vaio laptop. Bought today.
Able to install Firefox 3.6. But not 16.02.
When an attempt to install Firefox 16.02 is performed, an error message appears with the following.
"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuation is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail"
Happens every time. Though Firefox 3.6 will work fine. Not perfectly, but fine.

even if it does start up, please don't run firefox 3.6.x or any other outdated version of the browser since they will contain severe security vulnerabilities which can put your system & personal data at risk when you're online...
