Licencia de una Fuente nueva en Central Output Server

Hola Todos,
Tengo un problema y quisiera saber si alguien me puede colaborar.
Estoy utilizando Output Designer para hacer un Template, a este template le tengo que colocar la fuente o letra FormataCondensed Ligth, una vez creado y compilado el template cuando lo ejecuto a traves del central output server para que me cree el archivo PDF me aperece el Error "[393]Error downloading font '(FormataCondensed Lig )', font not licensed."
Lo que he realizado es que al archivo jfmerge.ini se le adicionó el nombre de la fuente y el tipo(Type 1) en la parte de [FontLicense]. En la documentación dice que se haga esto, pero la verdad hasta ahora no me ha funcionado.
Agradezco si alguien me puede ayudar a resolver este problema.

La tipografía (fundición o «fuente») llamada «Formata» no es original de Adobe, sino de Berthold Types Limited.

Hay tipografías cuyos diseñadores o autores no conceden en sus licensias el derecho de incrustarlas en un documento PDF. Es posible que tu «fuente» contenga algún tipo de protección para tal fin.
Lo mejor sería ponerse en contacto ya sea con la casa Berthold o con la persona que haya adquirido la licencia para usarla y averiguar si existe tal restricción. De ser así, será imposible crear el documento PDF.
Si ese no es el caso, espero que se reporte por aquí alguien que conozca Output Designer a fondo. Como se trata de un programa exclusivamente para Windows, los usuarios de Mac no estamos enterados.

How to use central output server in JSP application

We have developed a jsp application which is running on JBoss.We want to create receipts in PDF format.For this we are using central output server.Our approach is as follows:
When request comes from the user, we are generating .dat file by fetching data from the Oracle database depending upon credentials and then pushing this file into data folder of Central output server.From there we are waiting for PDF file in predefined path.Here we found this is asynchronous way of producing receipts.
Is there any other way that is synchronous or the way we are approaching is the only way of doing it.A sample would be of immense help.
Note:The concurrent hits would be around 5000 in a peak hour.Any help would be highly appreciated.

I don't think you can get things to operate in a synchronous manner. You have one application - perhaps running on a totally separate server - feeding data files to a different application. The only way to make it even semi-sychronous would be to throttle the JSP application in some way to prevent it from placing a new file into Central's data folder while there was already one there.
I assume your problem is knowing which PDF belongs to which user. If that is the case you could send some type of unique identfier (IP#?) as a "job" parameter that would then be used as the specific PDF file name instead of letting Central create a random file name.

Install Adobe central output server 5.5 in windows XP

Anybody know how can I install Adobe central output server 5.5 in my XP profesional. and where to store all related files( JFserver,JFMerge ....)

did you get anywhere with this ?? I have built a new Windows 2012 R2 server and am having issues emailing out to external addresses. I can email to internal ones on our Exchange 2013 cluster. I have exactly the same settings in the JfEMsend.ini file as well as the same DNS.. I get invalid recipient. Not quite the same problem but could be related

Error causing 'Adobe Central Output Server' service stopped

A error message was logged in the Central Log as follows:
-Unable to remove file 'D:\Jetformdata\Server\Data\JF3A51.dar'. Permission denies.
-Shutting down client agents.
-Warning: skipping disabled task JfShutDn.
-Exit
And then the service 'Adobe Central Output Server' is shutted down.
And when the service is re-started manually, everything is alright.
What event will trigger this kind of error?

When Cental does it's house cleaning it will delete files in the collector directory based on the "Delete Exension" setting in the Central Process configuration. Yours is probably set to da* and a file with the extension dar is getting in there with permissions set such that Central can't delete it so Central dies. Change the setting to dat and you will probably be allright. It looks like the dar file goes away anyway because on restart everything works fine.

View manager is a client application for Central Pro. When it is installed on Windows 7 (32/64 bit) and Windows Server 2008 (64 bit), it doesn't work properly.
For Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008R2, IPv6 is installed and enabled by default. On a machine running the Central Preview Agent with IPv4 protocol, the Preview Agent fails to transfer the files. The Preview Agent also reports the following error in the jfserver.log.
“Fails. Exception: [1005] Connect to <host> failed: 10060”
Solution
A patch for JfPreView.exe.exe is available from Adobe enterprise support to address this issue.

I have loaded KB2937636 to the server2012 wsus/sup but that still did not fix the communication issue. I have since removed the KB2937636 from the 2012 server, because when the KB2937636 is installed on the sup server once the 7.6.7600.256 computers
communicate with the server the WUA 7.6.7600.320 gets installed on the clients and then they stop communicating. Very Frustrating!
Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have attached my WindowsUpdate.log file. When I used CMTrace.exe you can clearly see that the computer talks fine at the beginning, then I installed WUA 7.6.7600.320 and All Communication breaks, then I uninstall to get back to 7.6.7600.256 and communication
works again.
If I uninstall 7.6.7600.320 then the computer communicates back to the SUP server.
so you're using SSL? (port 8531)

Synchronous processing of dat file using Adobe Output Server

Hello everyone
I have a doubt regarding Adobe Output Server. Currently my output server is running as a window service named "Adobe Central Output Server" in my machine referring to executable path E:\Jetform\Central\Control\jfservic.exe. It keeps on running irrespective of whether .dat file is present for further processing or not. In case .dat is there in data folder[location where my code writes into .dat file] it picks it up and does all the processing to give the result in form of Print/Fax. But when there is no .dat file present , still the service keeps on running consuming memory & cpu resource.
Curently my code drops a .dat file in data folder and dont bother about what happens to that .dat file afterwards. Its Adobe Output Server service that is running that keeps on monitoring data folder for any new dat file to process them further.
I want to stop that window service permanently and i wish to change some logic in my code so that as and when my program drops a .dat file in Data folder then i invoke Adobe Output Server or some of its component so that it picks up that dat file and does all the processing to generate Print/Fax and once its done with processing , the execution of Adobe central server ends. And it remains dead till its invoked by the program to process a new dat file.
So basically i was wondering whether there is possibiliy of invocation of Adobe Output Server is available or not for synchronous processing of dat file from the code.
Any suggestions , any ideas , any doubts on it are most welcome.

1- you have to do something in SAP ( i am looking for someone to tell me what )
2- create a job & name it by (ANYNAME_EMAIL)
3- Inside the Job create the following Tasks
a- SAPMERGER A
b- SAPMERGER
c- SAPEMSEND
that's it / AS Simple AS That

Output Server stops processing files (seemingly) at random

We use Adobe Central Output Server 5.5.0.308 to process Invoices/POs and the like from CommerceCenter (An Epicor/Prophit 21 product). We have three isntances of it running on three seperate terminal servers.
It has been working pretty well for years. Sometimes it would fail to process a certain file or it would stop responding and need to be restarted, but nothing serious and never very often.
Suddenly in the last couple of months it has stopped processing files at random during the day. To get it to start again we have to open the Control Center and go to Control -> Start Server. Then it will process everything in the queue just fine. It has been happening on both of our older 2003 terminal servers fairly often (at least 4 times a week) and just happened for the first time on our new 2008 R2 terminal server.
None of us here know much about Output Server and there is nothing in the Server log or the Event Viewer that indicates any sort of issue, so we are at a loss.
I don't really even know where to begin as the documentation of the relationship between CommerceCenter and Output Server is non-existent.
I'm really looking for any ideas... Maybe somebody has run into this issue before?

Creating PDF's with Central Pro Output Server for AS400 (iseries)

Today we generate spool files on the AS400 (iSeries)using Central Pro Output Server on the AS400. The user now wants to create the spool files as PDF's and then email them as attachments with a password to open them. Can this be done ?

I don't know if there is anything specific about the AS400 version of Central Pro that would prevent you from doing that. The Windows version comes with a task "JFPVMRG" that demonstrates how to create a PDF. Of course, the forms have to include the PDF "Presentation Target" before this will work. There is also a "JFEMSEND" task/agent for firing up the "messaging agent" that would do the emailing. I have no idea if you can require a password before opening an attachment.

Error in test with Central Output Pro Server 5.5

I am getting the following error,
when I testing the Central Output Pro Server.
I begin with a Central Output Pro Server Vers. 5.5 (demonstration version)

It is probaly a configuration problem? but that to make.

I was checking my log file and I noticed an anomoly between some of the "launching" log entries. That got me to looking further into my jfserver.ini file. I think I know what your problem is.
Every program (agent) that Central can launch has to have entries in the jfserver.ini file. This includes the agents that come with Central as well as any custom agents that are added later (we have several that we've written for our application). These entries include an EXEPATH statement that is specific to the agent. Apparently this is separate and in addition to the entry in the [Paths] section.
For your specific problem look for a section with a [jftrans] header. It may be missing, or it may just be missing the ExePath entry or that entry may be blank.
If one is fouled up, look for others. If all options of Central were checked when it was installed you should have entries like the following. These are all in my file as a result of the installation. Of course the actual location would be different.

Tiene razon Zeruelrojo, apple es una mierda, tengo 208 pesos, queria gastarlos en aplicaciones, antiguamente usaba mi cuenta y compraba en 1 ipod touch 2g y sin problemas, adquiri 1 iphone 3g de 8gb, asocie mi cuenta con el dispositivo y hasta ahi no habia problemas, pero a la hora de comprar aplicaciones o accesorios dentro de las apps, me pide que responda preguntas que no recuerdo haber agregado en mi cuenta de apple, y dije ok no hay problema, debe haber 1 forma de resetearlas, y si la hay, pero a la hora que revise mi contacto de recuperacion veo que el correo ya esta dado de alta y no es el mismo de mi cuenta

"Lenovo Enhanced Experience" pleno, depende de la optimización de la precarga y no puede ser completamente recreado por descarga...
Sin embargo, algunos de los beneficios para aquellos que realizan una instalación limpia de Windows 7, se puede lograr descargando los drivers para su sistema Lenovo.

Poner negrita una fuente web segura

Hola, soy nuevo y me encuentro con un problema.. incrusto una fuente web segura pero cuando la exporto todo lo que yo use como Bold o Negrita me da un aviso de que la va a simular... da igual la fuente que elija que no me funciona bien el tema de negrita... alguien sabe como solucionarlo por favor?

Las Web safe fonts son Arial, Comic Sans, Courier New, Geneva, Georgia, Helvetica, Lucida Sans, Palatino, Times, Trebuchet y Verdana. Se llaman así pues son fuentes que están instaladas en todos los navegadores y dispositivos. Todas estas fuentes tienen la opción de negrilla, lo que me hace pensar que quizás estás utilizando una "Web Font" que es algo diferente: Una web font es una de miles de fuentes incluídas por Adobe Muse para usar de manera relativamente segura en línea, pues al momento de agregarlas a tu página el programa incluye dentro de la misma el cógido que le da instrucciones automáticas al navegador instalarla. No todas las Web Fonts tienen la opción de ser negrita, así que lo único que puedes hacer es intentar descargar unas cuantas fuentes que te gusten y encontrar las que tengan esta opción.
Escoge la negrita desde el menú de fuentes como te lo voy a mostrar en la siguiente imágen:

Need help on resolving the issue with adobe output server - error MSG256 & MSG 210 not in .ini file

I am using adobe output designer 5.5 for designing the label template and using the Adobe output server for printing process.
In the Jfmerge.ini we given the condition "DiscardUnknownFields=Yes" for ignoring the unwanted fields in the .dat file.
During the process, I faced some issue with the output server in printing the labels.
When the .dat file is placed in the Data folder of adobe, the label is not getting printed in the printer.
The file is move to the error folder and an error file is getting generated which contains the error message as given below:

I assume this is too late to help you, but other might need a hint. I had the same problem, and found some possible causes that I posted on http://codeznips.blogspot.com/2010/02/adobe-output-server-message-msg210-not.html.
It is quite likely that you are missing some double quotes around the path specifying the ini file (-aii), if its installed under "Program Files".

Public APIs for Adobe Central Pro Server

Hi,
Can anyone point me to the Public APIs that are available with the Adobe Central Pro Server e.g. I would want my application to dynamically add or remove steps in the job db, or change the target printer. Also, is it possible to invoke the preview functionality that comes with the Adobe Designer and integrate with an existing application
Here what we are trying to do is add the printing (template merging) facility to an existing application and would want access to the public API for these products.

I'm not sure you can do what you describe in the manner that you appear to be wanting to do it. I know of no APIs that are provided. There are ways to get the job done, though. The job management data base is an ascii text file that can easily be changed programatically. Parts of our application use it for building a drop-down list of printers for the user to select from. Changing it doesn't automatically cause Central to use the new file. Central must be told to reload it before it will be using the modified file. This can be done by placing a certain "command" file in Central's control folder, but it would not run until after the current job completes - if the current job is the one that just changed the file and further steps of the same job are for the processing of the data, then that would be too late. Once a job starts, all the parameters and tasks from the job management database and on the original ^job statement is what will be used. This goes for changing anything about the job, whether it be adding/deleting steps, changing the printer, or any other parameters. We accomplish pretty much what you want by doing several things. *First, we define all of the various configurations of jobs that we need. For example, our main printing job has four tasks; it is not uncommon to need to restart a job someplace besides the first task. Therefore, we have four different jobs defined, each one starting further down the list of tasks. We do the same thing when the processing of the data has to vary in some manner - we have jobs pre-defined for each specific set of tasks and the source of the data sets the ^job name as required for the specific tasks that have to be done. *For modifying the printer, we use the -z<printer> and -asp<driver> parameters on the ^job statement and the source of the file sets the values as necessary. The source of the file will also set the job name so that the desired job is ran. *We also have built into our custom agents the capability to recognize when a "soft" failure is occurring (such as can't reach our database) and it will put the job back in for processing after changing the job name to run the correct job for restarting at the proper step. *One of our steps is to check a control file to see if there is a redirection for the specified printer to a substitute printer (say, the original printer is down for maintenance). This agent will put the job back in for processing, changing not only the job name but the printer parameters. It has to be put back in, instead of just changing the parameters and passing the file on to JFMERGE, because Central uses the parameters on the original ^job line, it doesn't use the parameters that might be on the ^job line when JFMERGE starts. *We have also created our own agent for running as the JFERROR task. This task runs when one of the agents supplied with Central encounter a failure. Our agent analyzes the failure and determines if it was "hard" or "soft". If it was a "soft" failure, this agent requeues the job, changing the name and parameters as necessary. So far we have been unable to determine how to get our VB6 agents to set the ErrorLevel to notify Central that the agent failed (we came up with a workaround instead of spending a lot of time trying to get the ErrorLevel to work). This is necessary to prevent Central's agents from processing when a predicessor custom agent fails. Since we couldn't set the ErrorLevel, we just set up all of our agents to always create an output file for input to the next task. When one of our agents fail, it only outputs a modified ^job line with no following data. This modified ^job line is recognized by our custom agents as an indication that a failure is in process so it skips any processing except to pass the file to the next task. Since there is no data or form commands in the file, once it gets to JFMERGE, it just terminates without producing any output or error condition. Previewing is accomplished by running the JFPVMRG agent to create a PDF and then JFPVSEND to send it to the originating IP# for receipt by the View Manager which will then load it into Adobe Reader. At this point, the job running on Central will be finished - it could have produced hard-copy output or not depending on its design. Once the user receives the PDF, they can do whatever they want with it (save, print, etc). We use the above capability for our users to view an "archive" image of forms, after it has been processed normally. I know of others that use it to create the PDF as part of the normal processing, allowing the user to then print from Adobe Reader it if they wish. What we do is to drop a DAT file into Central's input folder that runs the above two agents. Our application that is running on the user's PC then watches for Adobe Reader to load and when it does it forces it to be the top-most task (we do this because we have a problem that it will often open behind other windows).

How can I set-up my mac mini server to be a central file server for my windows boxes (they don't see the mac on the network), and how do I set-up a central iTunes server so that all my devices sync to the mac mini?

I am looking for step by step instructions to configure my mac mini server to support the following:
1. Central itunes server for all my devices (ipad, ipod, iphone, etc.)
2. Central file server so that my windows devices can save and retrieve data from the central system (the mac does not show up in the network for the windows systems - all running windows XP or 7)

You will need to enable file sharing in System Preferences
as well as setting up sharing and permissions for the
directories that you want shared. You may also want to
setup a non-administrative user or allow limited guest
access. The user would require entering a user name and
password to make the connection, but would allow remotes
to change files, if set up tat way.
As for serving iTunes media, better to post in the iTunes forum.
