License Deactivating

Hello
I had (quite some time back) purchased perpetual license for LightRoom 5 online through Adobe website, downloaded the software through the download link given to me and have installed it. Also ran the update 5.7 yesterday. Absolutely no problems. I also know that I could activate it on 2 computers.
But I have activated on only my Home Laptop where I use LR most of the time - at home. I would also like to install
on my office computer in my personal cabin for occassional use. If I did so, my two activations allowed would get
completed.
Now if I wanted to change my Home Laptop to a Desktop with higher specs & better graphics card, the license has to be transferred from the Home Laptop to the new Desktop.
I also have a perpetual licenses for Photoshop Elements 3. PSE 8 & PSE 12 (PSE 12 was purchased along with LR5)
PSE 3 & PSE 8 have one feature "Deactivate License" from the Help menu. One could deactivate the license from a particular computer and then reactivate it on another computer.
Now, there is no such "Deactivate License" found in LR5 /5.7.
Same issues I have with my Photoshop Elements 12 which I bought along with the LR 5 . Please note that I did not subscribe to Creative Cloud - but these are perpetual licenses.
Please kindly throw some light on this. I am totally confused.
Thanks in advance
PRSS

You are right there is no deactivate process for Lightroom. The license is single user / owner, it is cross platform Mac & or PC, you can have two active installations with one in use at any point in time, you can install on one and uninstall on another as many times that it is necessary. Just use the license key.
There is no monitoring from Adobe like there is with PS CS and Elements.

  • License deactivated after restored from backup

I restored 3 servers from backup after my storage crashed.
after restoring them, i noticed that the productID is shows not activated.
i am running my servers off vmware vsphere 5.5.
backup software is storagecraft virtual server edition.
my servers is windows 2008 r2 standard version.

this machine appears to be configured as KMSHost (VOLUME_KMS_R2_B channel)
The restore event seems to have triggered "Hardware out of tolerance", so you must re-activate this machine with MSFT.
You can use online/web activation, or if no internet access from this machine to MSFT web, you can use telephone activation for it.

Did you restore to a new VM ? (if so, this would explain it)

  • How can I contact Adobe support to get help with deactivating my cs4 license on a computer that I cannot access anymore?

My mac laptop recently went kaput. So I got a new one and I restored my most recent time machine backup to it. The restore went well, but I am not unable to open my cs4 programs.
When I try, I get a message that says "Licensing for this product has stopped working..." and it gives an error code 150:30
I have tried looking for solutions myself, but nothing that I have seen on the forums has been able to resolve the issue. As far as I can tell, I think that I have to reinstall my master collection and reactivate it, however, in order to do that, I think that I will need to deactivate my old version, that is installed on my dead laptop.
So, I need help with a couple things.
    1. I need to get in touch with adobe support in order to get my license deactivated. But the new adobe support system just basically sends me to the forums without providing any way to get in touch with an actually adobe support person directly.
    2. I think that I will need a link to download my install media because my original media came on a series of disks, but my new laptop does not have a disk drive.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Cheers,
    James

  • Use of the same license on a second machine

From the video on Adobe TV:
    - the license is tied to my Adobe ID
    - I use Adobe ID to download and activate software on machine number 1, then machine number 2 - works transparently.
    - when I try running the software on machine number 3 I get a popup saying that this license is already activated on 2 other machines, if you continue those previous 2 machines get deactivated.
    - I continue, the software starts on machine number 3
    - now I get back to machine number 1 - the software starts and activates transparently as the second activation on the current license.
    I don't get it.
What exacly stops me from installing software on 10 machines, and running it just one at a time - I'll just get a license deactivation prompt every now and then but I just click continue and it goes away.
I'm guessing I can actually run the software on two machines at the same time (it would ofcourse be illegal) but the prompt would not show up till I tried running it on a third one.
Is there a limit of how many Times I can deactivate/transfer a license to another machine?

    I know.
I'm responsible for managing licences in our studio and am trying to understand how the new system works before we upgrade.
The workflow I presented is a very simple way a company can use the software illegaly - no need for cracking and downloads from risky sites - it's a way of cheating that you provided.
I really doubt that Adobe would do this willingly so I assume there is something I didn't understand,
Simple question is - can you move/transfer the license to new machines (above the 2 machine limit) as many times as you want, or is there a limit for this operation.
A simple reason for this question you'll find on these forums - many users complained that the possibility of installing on two machines is not enough - especially for web and software developers, who often have several laptops/OSes to check compatibility.
Now that I think about it it kinda seems that you gave them a solution to this problem - if so, why not just say it - from what I read on the forums, a lot of people would want to hear that
Thanks for your patience, this knowledge is not critical to me because we'll still be using the software in 1 license - 1 machine mode, I just like to know things

  • Invalid serial number Acrobat 8.0 Professional

I am encountering an error when I try to install Acrobat Professional 8.0. I keep getting an invalid serial number error. The error originated as a result of attempting to move the license from an old Windows XP machine to a new one with Windows 7. When I attempt to install I get an invalid serial number error, however it is the same serial number which was used to activate on the older machine which has now had the software removed and the license deactivated. I have tried the trouble shooting steps on the adobe help center website.

If it was an upgrade, it is likely the S/N that is being requested is of the qualifying product.

  • What is the best practice for uninstalling only some CS4 programs (Win 7 PC)

I recently upgraded from CS4 to CS5.5 and wanted to free up some hard drive space on my Windows 7 PC. I wanted to uninstall only a few programs though from CS4, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Bridge. What is the best way to do this keeping in mind licensing, deactivating and properly removing components? I have the original installation disk for CS4 if needed. Thanks for any help!

Best practice: Uninstall everything (including your CS5.5), run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, then reinstall the components you need from both editions. CS4 may have a repair/ change configuration mode, but I'd strongly advise against using it, as it will do more damage than good, so use the long way round. It's also the only way to not bust up file associations with an uninstall of CS4...

  • How do I find the license for a deactivated product

I deactivated adobe acrobat 9 and need the license code to reactivate.  How do i find it?

Did you register the product with Adobe?  If so, go to adobe.com, log in with your Adobe ID, and go to "My Products and services" (top right, hover the mouse over the "Welcome, (your name)" message, and choose "My Products and services".
You'll get a list of all the products you've bought that Adobe knows about, and click on each one to show the licence number.

  • Deactivating a photoshop cs4 trial license

Does anyone know how to deactivate a photoshop cs4 trial license?
Basically i need to deactivate this license so i can use the creative suite 4 i have just bought.
So every time i try and open the photoshop application, a window opens saying 'license expired'.
Plus there is no 'help' option at the top of the screen in order for me to deactivate the license, the only option
reads 'photoshop' containing 'hide this' or 'hide all'.
The adobe support team have been useless in trying to help me.
I would be very grateful if someone knew of how to go about deactivating this license.
    Regards.
    Tom Haywood

Hi again, i have followed your advice but the same thing is happening again. All of the other programs on the
suite are working apart from photoshop. which keeps saying the license has expired.
Do you have any other suggestions please?
    Thanks.

  • I am looking to transfer Production Premium CS5.5 from Windows to OS X. However, my license code was only stored on a now deactivated email address, is there any way I can possibly retrieve the license code?

Hi, I have recently migrated over from Windows to OS X and was hoping to transfer my Creative Suite over.
I purchased it whilst at college and obtained the student & teacher edition using my college email address which they unfortunately deactivated without warning. I am still a student, now studying at University. I still have the box which contains the product code and I can provide evidence that I am the same person who purchased the product initially if required and additionally still have the initial evidence i sent off saved to my computer. Would it be possible to retrieve the license key?

Platform swaps only apply to the latest version, meaning CS6. You are wasting your time looking for something that doesn't exist to begin with. Simply buy a fresh CS6 license at student discount.

  • Good morning , I have installed Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium and I want to uninstall the Adobe Indesign CS5.5. Deactivation of the license is necessary before then reinstall ?

good morning , I have installed Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium and I want to uninstall the Adobe Indesign CS5.5. Deactivation of the license is necessary before then reinstall ?

Are you just uninstalling ID, and leaving the rest of the suite in place? You don't need to deactivate to do that.
A suite license does not permit you to install individual components on many different machines so that different users have access to them, if that is what you are contemplating.

  • Having deactivation / licensing issues

I NEED SOMEONE TO HELP ME OUT OF THIS HOLE I'M IN!
I recently bought a new Mac and used migration assistant to transfer everything. I am having trouble deactivating Flash Pro on my old Mac so that I can activate it on my new Mac - it keeps saying I have connection issues, even when I use Adobe's several methods to verify that I can connect to their https and activation sites.
Tghe last step in troubleshoot this was to chart with an Adobe agent - see what transpired during my chat session below below - what started out as a request for connect assistance turned into a licensing issue! (I redacted the tech's name, the serial number and other personal info - if there is someone out there at Adobe that can helop me and needs this info, I will share it with them under separate cover)

XXX: Can you please verify the email address?
JD: I recently changed my email address to XXX but I don't think I changed this on my Adobe account yet.
XXX: Sorry, The product is registered under different account.
XXX: May I know where did you purchase the product?
JD: I purchased it used on Ebay and had the license transferred to me in 2009. I've been using it ever since on my old Mac. When I log into my Adobe acct using XXX this product shows as mine.
XXX: In this case I request you to contact the point of purchase.
JD: I'm not sure why there is an issue - I successfully registered this software 5 years ago on your site and have been using it ever since. I shows up as mine on YOUR site!
XXX: I see that the product is not existing in different account.
    XXX: Sorry for typo.
XXX: I see that the product is existing in different account
XXX: Ebay is not the authorized reseller of Adobe. In this I request you to contact the point of purchase.
JD: Then it appears that you need to remove it from the other one so that it is only showing in mine. I own this software - it is in my hands! It is showing as registered under my name in my adobe account.
JD: I bought it from a private individual and used Adobe' transfer of Adobe License form to put it under my name in 2009. I need you to elevate this to your supervisor. Like I said, I've had this software registered under MY ACCOUNT for 5 years!
XXX: I see that the product is not registered in your account.
XXX: Please login to your Adobe account and check it.
XXX: The serial number you have provided is not registered in your account.
JD: I'm in there now - logged in as Jerome DellaPietra via XXX. I own XXX, XXX, Flash Pro 9, XXX, XXX, XXX, and XXX. I'm looking at all of these in the "My Products" page
    XXX: Okay.
JD: Both the numbers on my software and what shows in My Products page match exactly!
XXX: Please see if the serial number you provided is existing in under your account.
    JD: YES
XXX: I am sorry. I see that the serial number is not registered in different account.
XXX: I double checked and see that the serial number is registered under different account.
JD: Then remove it. I own this software. It is mine. I successfully registered it with Adobe 5 years ago. It is showing as one of my products
XXX: Since you bought the product from the non authorized reseller we will not be able to see it in your account.
XXX: You can remove it from your end.
XXX: Is there anything else I can help you with?
I gave up with him after that. I need someone at Adobe that can fix this for me. I own this software. It is in my hands! It shows up as mine on my "My Products" page! I still have the original transfer of license form showing the original owner! HELP!

Hi, jwilder. Let's try to resove that. To verify, is it happening even if the battery saver is turn off? Did you check if all system apps are updated? To do this, scan the QR codes from here: Nokia Windows Phone 8 App Updates. You may also try deleting the non-functioning Wi-Fi network from the Settings > WiFi > manage(advanced) > Known networks, tap and hold on the network name and select Delete. From the Known network, make sure that the selected one is set to connect automatically.
    Keep us posted.
