License for addon

Hi All,
How do i make my addon specific to particular client i need a license for this addon that i create?? .. i use the UI API ... for validate some information that register on the forms.. and if i need who give me that license ?

Every SAP Business One client will get this message unless they download a new licence file from the SAP Portal. Your partner should be able to provide you with this. I'm afraid the new licence is the only way to stop the message.
The licence is very easy to add, you just log in to SBO, then select Admin | Licence Admin | Import Licence file and browse to the file the partner will give you.

Compatibility License for AddOns expired on 20080115

Hi Guys,
Just what to ask regarding this Warning Message that was encountered by one of our clients. They encounter this Warning Message. As I look at the Components Tab on the License Administration, I indeed saw that the Compatibility License for AddOns will expire on January 15, 2008.
Is there a way to correct this?

Compatibility License for AddOns expires

Hello everyone !!!
I have a client with Sap Business One 2005 A, when a user user log-in to the application, they got this message "module <Compatibility License for AddOns> expired on <20080115>".
I read something about that "The license key for Compatibility License for Add-Ons is limited until January 17, 2006. After this date, you must recompile your add-on with a current version of SAP Business One SDK to continue running the add-on." How can I do this, do I need to get a new License file?
My client does not use any Addon but this message bothers each time they log-in to the application.

Which mean that the only way to resolve this problem is getting a new license file? The vendor of my customer is not a SAP partner anymore. What can I do in this case.

Compatibility License for Addon has expired

Dear Experts,
After an upgrade to 2007B PL19, my customized add on seems to be having an error.
When I just login to SAP, I get this error:
module <Compatibility License for Addons> expired on <20081115>
When Im trying to run my customized addon, I get this error:
Add-on does not have a License
All these wasnt happening before the upgrade.
Please help advice me!

Dear All,
In the license administration --> tab components, there is a compatibility license for addons.
I have read its use in the pdf file but it was not still clear to me how it works in SAp B1. Could you provide its primary use in SAP B1 ? Does it have special relationship or dependecy on another component ? TIA

Compatibility license for addons are free license component from SAP B1 where its included in the professional user.
when you buy one professional user license, you will have it free. Its availability is to support addon that have been developed before SAP B1 release 6.7 and addon that has no identification string. Currently it is being in the grace period until 2099 year but I suspect it won't be until that year. It is always reupdated every year. For more detail, you could download license guide from SAP Partner portal (updated pdf file).

How to obtain solution license for AddOn

Dear All,
We have developed an AddOn for one of our customers, this addon use both DIAPI and UIAPI.
As usual I go on sap marketplace, on the licensekey section and I try to modify the customer system adding my new addon but, with surprise, I recognize that i can't add my new addon, but only choose from my old addon or addon by others partners.
How can I request a license for my AddOn? I need the BASIS code for generating AddOn identifier.

I know that I had to choose one addon from that list, but the problem is that I not yet registered my addon on sap marketplace.
I remember that in the old site, I was able to give a name to my add and than obtain a BASIS code for it. Now in this new site, How Can I register my new addon?

the error message will not give effect if you have no addon developed by partner or implementor. here is the link stated that it will not expire until 2099

but you must renew your license by sending the hardware key to your implementor. the implementor will download it from license key SAP Portal.

UCL addon license for CUCM 10.x

I'm creating BOQ for CUCM 10.x
I have 500 CUWL users
And I need to add some essential and enhanced users for analog and conference phones
I'm trying to add them using R-UCL-UCM-LIC-K9
But I got the following error which states you should select at least 1000 !!!
A combined total of LIC-UCM-10X-ENHP-B,LIC-CUCM-10X-ENH-B,LIC-CUCM-10X-BAS-B and/or LIC-CUCM-10X-ESS-B should be between 1000 and 10000. Please adjust the quantity.
Is there any other PN for addon license for UCL CUCM 10.x. I think it is the above one

Addon Licenses for CCX 10.5

hi,
i am using CCW but i am not seeing any type of ADD-ON licenses for UCCX 10.5. Did some research and couldn't come across any either.
i need to add on 10 additional licenses to and existing deployment, but i cant seem to find add-on licenses.
all i am seeing are 5-seat bundles and 25 set bundles and i am unable to up the quantity of the 5-seat bundles to two.
i hope there is a way for add-ons

License for testing and production systems

Can any one help me out on implementing license in my B1 System.
According to our contract we have licensed following user types:
User Type
Licensed
AddOn Access License 25
Professional User 5
Software Development Kit - Development Version 20
We have Test/development system in one hardware and Production system on different hardware. Please advice me how to request/allocate license for my test/development system and production system.
We tried creating a Test System in SAP Market place and requested license for test system. While requesting license for production system, it is found that the license is exceeded. In other words, developent system license also counted.
Please advice me on the best practices of B1 license implementation.

Our customer wants to Keep the production data secure. Developers and consultants should not have the access to it.
Then you have only two options:
1.Either you should maintain a standalone b1 server for the developers and consultants to test their solutions and scenarios.
2.Otherwise you can create users in sql studio for accessing only the test database.
So that as per your requirement
All configurations and sample data will be kept in a test environment where developers and consultants can do their work.Once everything is correct Admin will do the transfer to production.
Note:New users can be created in the sql studio under Databases-><Company Db>->Security->Users, Rt.click new user

License for Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro no longer works -- Why?

I am getting a very strange error message that indicates my license is no longer valid. I have captured a screen image of the error and would like for someone to look at it. Hopefully, this problem can be solved quickly, as I am in the middle of some Acrobat work. PLEASE HELP!
Note so far I have tried the following (in this order):
1. Did a repair from the Help pulldown menu.
2. Downloaded from Adobe a completely new Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 (AA Pro 9) and then did a repair.
3. Disable Norton's firewall protection.
4. Uninstalled AA Pro 9 and then re-installed the newly downloaded AA Pro 9 (in 2.)
None of these fixed the problem. I have a Windows Vista (32-bit) platform.
Here are the details of the error message:

After you uninstalled, you should have done two additional steps before the reinstall: 1. Deleted any left over parts of the Acrobat folder and 2. run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html. These are not sure to solve the problem, but in many cases the problem is related to errors in the registry that the cleaner resolves. Sometimes, there are also some corrupt files left in the Acrobat folder, particularly some bad addons that can be an issue.

when we create an add-on in SDK and generate in SBO.
How long this add-on works in SBO.
Is it required license to run for more days or else need a license.
If we can run the add-on and without any license required and this add-on can install some other client or not.

Hi Santhosh,
If your addon uses just the UI API then it will run under the implementation license (which is always included on any licensed SBO site) and will not expire (actual expiry date is 31/12/9999).
If your addon uses the DI API and UI API then by default it will use the compatibility license (which is, again, always included on a SBO site) and will not expire until 31/12/2099.
If your addon uses the DI API and UI API and you have applied for an addon identifier so you can license your addon through SAP's own license mechanism then it will have an expiry date set to 31/12/9999.
As mentioned above, if you build your own license mechanism in to your addon (which is what most ISVs do) then it's obviously up to you as to when the addon will expire.

Is there any SC 3.0 HA Agent License for iPlanet Messaging Server? Can somebody help?

we've recently (Jan 2011) been successfully able to order enhanced licences for a client who was running IPCC 4.0(1) and they were converted to a licence file through the usual channels and applied to their server.
If you get your partner to use the dynamic configuration tool and rather than search (which will not yield any results) directly input the top level SKU IPCX-4.X-ADDON-PRE you may find they are able to order some licences. I can't guarantee this will still work and you may find that the order is cancelled at some point during the process.
You really should be considering upgrading (not least because you are only 6 weeks away from having a completley obsolete software release on an unsupported operating system and will be totally exposed) there are some very agressive discounts from Cisco for Comms Manager and Unity at the moment (which you will have to upgrade as well) which really make it worthwhile.
also be wary of the behaviour of your server post upgrade as version 4 installations which have been static for a long time don't seem to like being messed around with

I'm havin an addon running correctly in vs SBO2005, but now trying to start my addon in vs RAM-UP SBO2007 and I cannot to run. When started to addon one failure occurs.
I receive this message: Addon does not have a license.
Someone knows say me if only is possible to run addons make by partners in vs2007 using the property AddonIdentifier(UIAPI) and one a license for use it????

Hi Frederico,
The 'SAP Addons' license is for addons released by SAP (eg Outlook Integration, Fixed Assets etc) and does not affect third-party addons.
You should be able to run your addon in any patch level of SBO 2007A without an addon identifier. SAP extended the expiry date of the Compatibility license so any addon that doesn't invoke an addon identifier code should still be able to run under this other license. Please check that your SAP site license includes the Compatibility license (you don't need to allocate this to a user).
If you are still unable to start the addon then I'd recommend you log the issue with SAP support.
