License in another computer

I need to use a CS5 license that  i have got installed in a computer, in another one. The first one, now is working with the CS6 version. The issue is that i don't find the serial number and i don't know how to recover it.

Check your Adobe account. If it's not registered there and you do not have the original e-mail/ packaging/ documents I'm afraid there's not much anyone can do. At best an old invoice may help support to track your CS5 purchase back then and they may be able to provide the serail, but that will only work if you bought directly from Adobe and the packaging/ download code was in their system back then...

  • How to transfer te license on another computer (CS5)

Hi everyone, i'm truly sorry if this is the wrong forum to ask, but I thought it was the right one!
I need to transfer the license of the whole CS5 Design standard on another computer, since the old one it's gonna be sold and formatted.
I didn't find the proper way to do it, so here i am asking.
    Thank you for your help.
    Linda

    Hi Windycina,
I believe you still have the access to the serial number. If you do, Please use the following download link to download Adobe Design Standard CS5 (If you dont have the media with you) and use the serial number to complete the installation.
    Other downloads
For the deactivation from the previous machine, please launch any one of the products ( say Photoshop ), navigate to help > Deactivate.

  • I want to move CS6 License to another computer

The is complex. I have a older computer that was licensed. The computer mother board failed. I repaced the mother board and now CS6 acts like it is unlicensed. On top of that I need to move the license to a newer faster computer. How do I proceed??
    Thanks !!

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your iPod. Only if you back up your phone manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
    Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your iPod without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your iPod for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPod for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in iTunes and transferred your purchases.
There is 3rd party software out there, but not supported by Apple, see this thread:http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2013615&tstart=0

  • Moving Final Cut Studio to another computer

I just got a new G5 and want to take my Final Cut Studio off my Power Book G4 and put it on the G5 and then instal Final Cut Express on the Power Book.
Can I transfer the license to another computer and if so how is my question.
Thank you for your time, Robert

All you need to do is remove it from the powerbook, and install it on the G5. The license for the softare is for the software, not what machine it is on. But it can only reside on one machine...which you know.
    Good for you.

  • Can I instal in another computer my adobe license?

I have a Adobe license and I want instal Photoshop in a another computer. How can I do that?

As long as you only have installed and activated on one machine then you still have an option to install and activate on a second machine.  If you need to download the installation file(s) you should indicate which application(s) this involves and whether or not it is for a Creative Cloud subscription.

  • VLM licenses "Already activated on another computer"?

I already had at least one user with this issue before receiving our recently renewed VLM license.  We use VLM licenses in disconnected mode exclusively as most users or are located in satellite offices.
In the license manager on the end user's machine, the status says "Already activated on another computer".   The Note says "Contained in a disconnected license" blah blah blah ...
The documentation says "Note  Disconnected and home license files generated by NI Volume License Manager do not need to be activated.".  However, these users keep getting asked to activate.

    Julie,
National Instruments products' activation revolves around the Computer ID.  The Computer ID is based on the physical (MAC) address of the network card by default. If either a network card is replaced or multiple network cards are present, the changing MAC addresses might result in unactivated software. You can confirm this by checking out the computer ID in the client computer's License manager and VLM on server. They probably no match each other.
In order to remedy this situation, contact National Instruments support (ni.com/ask) so that a Computer ID can be generated which is based on the hard drive serial number of your computer rather than the physical (MAC) address.

  • Deactivate license CS 6 and install on another computer.

My computer recently has crashed. Now I would like to deactivate my current license and install the same license  (CS  6) on another computer.
    Is this possible? And how?
    Greetz.

Just install normally. Your activation is gone either way. You have to call support to reset activation count if you get the warning about having more than 2...

If I have iphoto 9.3 on one of my computers does the license permit me to have it on another computer?  If so how do I accomplish this?

Yes, if you bought it in a disc or Mac App Store. If you bought it in the Mac App Store, just download it in App Store > Purchased in all your Macs

  • How to download Creative Cloud on new computer after deactivating on another computer?

I need to switch a Creative Cloud license from one computer to another. I deactivated the license via the CC Desktop App and then uninstalled it from the first computer. Now I want to download it on the other computer and activate. The Adobe website does not make it easy to figure out how to do that. Their standard help page only got me as far as deactivation from the first computer. Can someone tell me how to download it? The company I work for already has a license paid for.

Exactly the same way you did the 1st time... log in to your Adobe ID and start

  • Can I share my PSE8 catalog with a user on another computer using PSE6?

I want to share my PSE8 catalog with user on another computer using PSE6, so that we both organize and edit the same photos.

    Thanks for the fast response.
I am planning on locating both the catalog and photos in the same shared folder, accessible on a home network with two computers.  Only one person at a time will be using it, so we should both see the same catalog structure.  I've already given general tags to the photos, but my wife wants to add more detailed sub groups and tags.  After reading the license agreement with Adobe, it looks like I can put the same PSE8 on both home computers, so I think the catalog sharing should work.  I'll give it a try to see.

Thanks; however, I was really referring to this: if it is preinstalled on a Mac, I believe the license is for that computer only (unlike an MAS purchased version which can be used on any Mac owned). Has that requirement changed?
At this moment, that's correct. The OS X license included with a Mac can only be used with that Mac. However, in the case the OP has purchased OS X Mountain Lion in the past, this may change

It is possible that you downloaded the Creative Cloud trial of Lightroom. The perpetual license key will not work. Uninstall the version on the second computer, this will not interfere with your catalog, preferences and personal files.
Download the appropriate version from the link below and install, your license key will be accepted and everything will be fine.

  • How do I know if the program has been downloaded to another computer or not?

How do I know if the program has been downloaded to another computer or not? Also how do I know if it is the educational version or not?

What exactly? Your questions don't make much sense since you failed to provide an explanation what problem you actually have, what program you actually mean and so on. That aside, edu versions are technically not different from the normal programs, just their licensing is different.
