License information

Hi,
We have three systems landscape Development, Quality & Production (ECC 5.0), Also, we have SAND box & 2 solution managers. OS version is Win 2003 server & DB is Oracle 10G for all the systems.
At present we don’t have any idea about the number of user licenses in any of the system. The service agreement is also misplaced. I want to know how I can get the info about how many licenses we have as a developer, end user and administrators.
If I want this information from SAP then what is the procedure to get it?
Regards,
Rajesh Kale

Hi Rajesh,
You can see the amount of licenses you need by using transaction USMM,
To check the existing amount of licenses you own contact you SAP Account Manager.

  • License information about SJDS5.2 and SJISW 1 2004Q3

In our environment SJDS5.2 and SJISW 1 2004Q3 is installed on Solaris 9 4/04 on two SPARC machines. We also use MMR feature.
Suddenly I am asked to get licensing information about these products in our environment which was actually installed and configured by another person who has left the company.
Can any one guide me about the licensing information related to these products? After going through this forum I could find some one mentioning like if we use solaris 9 then upto 200,000 entries are free. Is it about the number of users using the LDAP or something else?
Also we have valid support plan for these products from SUN.
Is it based on CPU? Any help on this will be appreciated.
    SMV

Product license details are installed under a LEGAL root directory on disk as part of the installation. You can also alternatively go back to the download section and review the license at: http://www.sun.com/software/products/directory_srvr_ee/get.jsp
The free 200,000 entries you refer to (entries = objects, not users) are only for DS entries Enterprise Wide, those don't apply to DSEE and consequently don't give you free access to Identity Synchronization for Windows.
You need to go back to your Solaris entitlement to find the details.
Also you always have to subscribe a directory maintenance contract to get support, this is not covered under Solaris maintenance.
Directory maintenance contract are based on the total number of entries managed by you directory service. It is independent from you hardware deployment.

  • SQL Server Licensing Information

I want to retrieve SQL server licensing information e.g. License type, Count, License Code etc.
    Any help?
    RK

You can find the license type using serverproperty function as shown in the below link, http://sql-articles.com/index.php?page=Scripts/ServerProperties.php
You may also refer these links where Arnie and Madhu have provided useful information regarding licenses.

  • Finding SQL Server licensing information for 2005 and above.

I can use SELECT serverproperty('LicenseType'), serverproperty('NumLicenses') on SQL Server 2000 but these server properties are no longer being returned in SQL Server 2005 and later.  This information doesn't seem to be recorded in the registry for
    SQL Server 2005 and later.
Is there an easy way to query or report licensing information for SQL Server 2005 onwards?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
Since SQL Server Version 2005 you have all license Information only on paper; so you have to lookup your papers to get the Information.

  • Need to know FWSM License information layout

    Hi ,
I hope that you guys can help me to understand FWSM license information I'm a newbie on cisco firewalls
FWSM License information is as follows :
    FWSM# sh ver
    FWSM Firewall Version 3.2(2)
FWSM up 6 days 8 hours
Hardware:   WS-SVC-FWM-1, 1024 MB RAM, CPU Pentium III 1000 MHz
    Flash STI Flash 7.4.0 @ 0xc321, 20MB
    0: Int: Not licensed        : irq 5
    1: Int: Not licensed        : irq 7
    2: Int: Not licensed        : irq 11
The Running Activation Key is not set, using default settings:
    Licensed features for this platform:
    Maximum Interfaces   : 256
    Inside Hosts             : Unlimited
    Failover                    : Active/Active
    VPN-DES                : Enabled
    VPN-3DES-AES      : Enabled
    Cut-through Proxy    : Enabled
    Guards                    : Enabled
    URL Filtering            : Enabled
    Security Contexts     : 2
    GTP/GPRS               : Disabled
    BGP Stub                 : Disabled
    VPN Peers                : Unlimited
    Serial Number: SAD114600SX
So it means do we have to purchase license for implementing FWSM in Transparent/Routed Mode.
    Thanks

    Hi,
To my understanding there should be no licensing requirement for using the FWSM in Routed/Transparent mode.
I think the licensing has more to do with the Max Interfaces / Security Contexts usually.
Heres one link to information about the FWSM
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/modules/ps2706/ps4452/product_data_sheet0900aecd803e69c3.html
One thing to note also is that FWSM is a Cisco product that is getting old. There is ASA Module that replaces the FWSM. We are moving to use ASAs instead of FWSMs.
Here are the information related to that from Cisco
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/modules/ps2706/eol_c51-699134.html

  • How to edit "license information for multiple logon" screen

    hey gurus
i need to know how to edit or modify the 'license information for multiple logon" screen. this screen usually pops up when a user tries for a multiple logon to sap. We have activated the parameter 'login/disable_multi_gui_login' but we would like to modify the screen in such a way that only one radio button which says 'terminate this logon' should exist. we would prefer to remove the option of 'continue with this option and end any other logon'. Now i searched but i could not find anything to implement this so i am here and i need your advice and suggestions.
    thanks in advance.
    cheers.

    hey bernhard

  • Licensing information

    Hello All,
I need licensing information related to all components SRM!.
Tried to search ,but did not get much.
Will be grateful to have as a reply or a document.
    My questions are:
    1. If we install all the components related to SRM viz. EBP,SUS,Bidding Engine,CCM,
LAC, XI,EP, BW and ECC also ofcourse  -->Each component would need seperate license or as a bundle?
    2. How the user licenses will be given for all these components?
    3. If we have alreay have ECC in place will that benifit for SRM license?
    4. If we decide to use EP hence SSO what will there be any benifit?
    5. Any idea about remote counsulting charges?
The versions of components should be:
    ECC 5.0
    EBP 5.5
    SUS 3.0
    BI 7.0
    XI 7.0
    Helpful answers will be rewarded.

    Hello,
    Thanks for replies.
    @ Marcin -
    Now to more specific point.
I had read on this forum that for Bidding engine yo can test the functionality without
seperate license on dev server. But for prod server Bidding engine you need to have a seperate
    license.
    Is it not correct then?
    @ Ramki-
Should I assume that licensing procedure for components and users is highly flexible
and depends on the negotiations between SAP and customer.
    Pl. respond.

and why would you want to do that?
does your contract with SAP say, that you may use multiple logins for free? would SAP's contract-issue department agree that -in your case- it's not necessary to record multiple logins?
have you read this part of the SAP license policy?
SAP gives express notice that the accessing of a system by more
than one person using one and the same named user constitutes
    a breach.

We purchased Adobe Photo Shop Windows with 2 licenses in December 2012.  We only installed 1 instance and would like to install the other now.  How do we look up our Activation/license information?

Assuming you got it directly from Adobe as a download, click on the red logo near the top-left of this page.  Then click the [ Manage account ] button.  After logging-in you should be able to find all the information on products you've purchased.

  • Oracle weblogic 10.3 license information

We have purchased Oracle weblogic 10.3 from a vendor and have installed by the application team. I need to confirm how can i check the license information (information reg no.of users etc) after installation of the product in the windows server 2008. Is there is any log file which will have license details??

Oracle has removed the licensing which is bound to IP addresses long before itself.
From WebLogic Server 10.3 and higher, no license file (no license.bea) is required by Oracle. However, you should deploy the product only in environments which are bounded to your license. That is you should see that if you bought license for 8 cores, you are deploying it only in a 8 core environment and not more.
There are few notes on the support site related to this.

  • Clusterware Pricing and/or Licensing Information for 3rd Party Applications

    Hi,
Can anyone please direct me to Oracle Clusterware 11g pricing and/or licensing information in the scenario where the Clusterware solution is intended for use with a 3rd party application and not with Oracle Database?
Also, in the case where Clusterware is used with Oracle Database 11g Enterprise, does it require a separate license?
I appreciate if anyone can provide me with a link to this type of information.
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards,
    Johan

OK - So if there is no RAC installed and you all you need to do is provide Cold failover for an Oracle database instance then yes the Clusterware license is at no charge in this scenario.
    briefly :
you install a Clusterware home - as if you were goin gto create a RAC database
then you install a database software home on each node.
    then you create the instance.
there is a good paper here : http://otn.oracle.com/clusterware
See : Using Oracle Clusterware to Protect A Single Instance Oracle Database 11g (PDF) February 2008
If the software you are wanting to protect 'talks' to an Oracle database
You can either install on the RAC nodes - using the clusterware that is already there
    OR
install Oracle clusterware onto 2 or 3 or more new nodes to build an new application cluster and then install your application.
Either way both meet the terms of the license doc.

  • License information of SDK and other APIs?

Is there a website that contains the license information of the J2SDK and all Sun APIs (Activation framework, JavaMail, etc.)?

Do you know what a "web site" is?

A collection of "pages" or files linked together and available on the World Wide Web.

  • NTSVC.OCX license information

    Hi,
I would like to get the licensing information of the sample control NTSVC.OCX. As per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/170883 it's a sample control that was provided with the January 1997 edition of the MSDN.
By any chance does it fall under Ms-LPL like the other MSDN samples and examples do or it's just under EULA?

Vikas, your question isn't about TechNet, so I'm going to move it to off topic.  I think what you're asking is what the licensing terms are for something that Microsoft provided for free in 1997.  We don't host the 1997 libraries any more,
and we are unable to pull copies of them.  This is just a guess, but it seems likely to me that 1997 predates the existence of something like MS-LPL, but I really am not any sort of authority on it.  Hopefully others can chime in with advice for
you as well.  A number of smart folks review the off topic forum for questions like yours.
    Thanks,
    Mike
Unfortunately your post is off topic here, in the TechNet Site Feedback forum, because it is not Feedback about the TechNet Website or Subscription.  This is a standard response I’ve written up in advance to help many people (thousands, really.)
who post their question in this forum in error, but please don’t ignore it.  The links I share below I’ve collected to help you get right where you need to go with your issue.
For technical issues with Microsoft products that you would run into as an
end user of those products, one great source of info and help is
http://answers.microsoft.com, which has sections for Windows, Hotmail, Office, IE, and other products. Office related forums are also here:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/support/contact-us-FX103894077.aspx
For Technical issues with Microsoft products that you might have as an
IT professional (like technical installation issues, or other IT issues), you should head to the TechNet Discussion forums at
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-us, and search for your product name.
For issues with products you might have as a Developer (like how to talk to APIs, what version of software do what, or other developer issues), you should head to the MSDN discussion forums at
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-us, and search for your product or issue.
If you’re asking a question particularly about one of the Microsoft Dynamics products, a great place to start is here:
    http://community.dynamics.com/
If you really think your issue is related to the subscription or the TechNet Website, and I screwed up, I apologize!  Please repost your question to the discussion forum and include much more detail about your problem, that could include screenshots
of the issue (do not include subscription information or product keys in your screenshots!), and/or links to the problem you’re seeing.
If you really had no idea where to post this question but you still posted it here, you still shouldn’t have because we have a forum just for you!  It’s called the Where is the forum for…? forum and it’s here:
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-us/whatforum/
    Moving to off topic.

  • Entering license information into CF8 Developers Edition?

I have downloaded and installed CF8 Developers Edition.
    I currently own CF 6.1.
I want to buy the upgrade to CF 8 and plug the license
information into CF8 Developers Edition so I don't have to
reinstall it. However, I can't seem to find anywhere within the CF
Admin to accomplish this. I have search on the CF Forum and even
contacted an Adobe Coldfusion Sales Rep., but no one can seem to
know how to do this. The Adobe CF website indicates that this is
    possible.
    Thanks for the help.

Open the CF Administrator and then click the I icon in the
