License key is valid in Mac and Windows?

Hi.
I will buy a Creative Suite. Dreamweaver, Acrobat.... i wish to install on my Mac Laptop, but Photoshop i want to install on my Windows PC. Can i do it with only one license? ( i will buy Cretative Suite Mac version).
Sorry for my bad english.
Regards

Your English fine, what you want to do isn't. Windows and Mac version require separate licenses.

  • "Option" key does not give Mac and Windows options on a MacBook

I own a MacBook Pro and a MacBook.
Holding the "option" key on my MacBook Pro gives me both operating systems as options at start up.
However, on my MacBook, I only get the Mac OS option. I have called Apple Support, and they have said to erase and start over, which I have done, to no avail. The same problem continues.
Other than not having the choice of operating system while pushing the option key at start up, everything works fine when I boot to and from the operating systems via system preferences and boot camp manager.
Any thoughts and/or advice is greatly appreciated?
It seems as if this is a MacBook only problem.

To access NTFS Windows from your MAC OS via Bootcamp, use this software:

  • Connection key compatibility problem between Mac and Windows

I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem and came up with a work-around?
We are rolling out Contribute CS5 to some employees.
The designers (I'm one of them) are all on Macs. Everyone else is on Windows XP.
We are connecting to our sites via local/network. IT didn't want to set up FTP (I won't go into why right now).
So, here is where the problem is... We set up the site and do the first connection on our Macs. Then when we send out a site key, to a Windows user, the key is no good. This is because Macs handle paths to network shares differently than Windows does.
I thought the solution would be to customize the key with the Windows share path before sending it to the Windows users. However, Contribute wants to verify the path before letting me continute to make a customized key. And that is where I'm stuck. Is there a solution to this - besides switching to FTP?
    Thanks,
    Ward

For windows users can you create a connection key in Windows machine and send the same.

  • Serial number valid for Mac and Windows?

    Hello all,
Will a valid serial number for Acrobat 8 Professional (Macintosh) also work for the Windows version of the same software?
    Thanks in advance!

No. You need to buy a separate license or do a cross-platform change via Adobe.

  • ESC (Escape) key not working in Mac and Windows?

It just won't work. Both OSes.

A bloating battery is a bad battery dying and developing gas inside. If this happens the bloated part can be under the left upperside of the keyboard and put pressure there. It may bulge the underside of the macbook, it may bulge under the trackpad and cause irratical trackpad behaviour, etecera. Check the battery.
If it is bad you should replace the battery.
Keyboard: you can replace the keys (per key) I think, if it is a bad keycontact.

  • I am interested in purchasing Adobe's Creative Suite 6 Master Collection for Mac and Windows (Single User Educational License) FOR STUDENTS & EDUCATORS ONLY.

I am interested in purchasing Adobe's Creative Suite 6 Master Collection for Mac and Windows (Single User Educational License) FOR STUDENTS & EDUCATORS ONLY. I am purchasing this program for my son who attends George Washington High School: The College Academy in New York, New York. He is a sophomore and is interested in web design. I would like to know if he is eligible to use/activate the Creative Suite 6 Master Collection for Mac and Windows (Single User Educational License) FOR STUDENTS & EDUCATORS ONLY prior to my purchase.

Peru Bob makes a good point.  I just assumed the OP understood what the System requirements | Adobe Creative Suite 6 were.

  • Do I need two separate licenses to be able to use Flash Builder on Mac and Windows?

Does my Creative Cloud subscription allow me to install Flash Builder on both Mac and Windows machines?

    Hi,
I know it has been a while since you replied to me. I tried it at the time and sadly it didnt work and I got frustrated and ignored it for a while. I have just tried what you suggested again and this is how it went:
    • I have connected both the AX and iMac via ethernet cables to the O2 box.
    • This time my iMac did detect the AX and it automatically opened the AirPort Utility window.
    • I followed your instructions on the setting and connected it to my existing network etc.
    • It asked to restart the AX.
    • After a long wait this message appear:
"Airport Utility was unable to find your Apple wireless device after restarting.
The settings for this Apple wireless device have been successfully updated, but there was a problem rejoining the wireless network or finding the Apple wireless device. You may need to select your network from the AirPort menu and try again."
I tried this and now when I click Rescan in the AirPort utility it just says that it cannot detect any devices. And in the meantime the AX is still flashing orange.
Do you think that the AX is faulty. Although it was functioning perfectly in my previous flat. I just don't understand how one minute the iMac detects it and the next it doesn't even though the settings have been supposable successfully updated. Very frustrating.
    Thanks for your time,
    Louca

  • Creative Cloud both on Mac and Windows on a second computer

Is it possible to use Creative Cloud both on Mac and Windows on a second computer with one license? At home I work with Mac, and out I work with Windows.

In 2.1.5 of the Software License Agreement it says that you have to own tow separate licenses if you use Mac and Windows on one computer. Is this not also the case if you have two computers, one operating with Mac and one operating with Windows?
2.1.5 Dual Boot Platform. The Software is licensed for use on a specific operating system platform. Customer
must purchase a separate license for use of the Software on each operating system platform. By way of example,
if Customer desires to install the Software on both the Mac OS and Windows operating system platforms on a
device that runs both of those platforms (i.e., a dual boot machine), then Customer must first obtain two separate
licenses for the Software. This is true even if two versions of the Software, each designed for a different operating
system platform, are delivered to Customer on the same media.

  • Hey guys, how can i password protect my files in external hard drive? I want to access those files both from mac and windows PC!

Hey guys, how can i password protect my files in external hard drive? I want to access those files both from mac and windows PC!

If you want a cross-platform solution that doesn't require the use of third-party software, use an external drive with hardware encryption. The device will have either a physical key or a numeric keypad. I don't have a specific recommendation.

  • VPN -- different behavior between Mac and Windows XP clients.

    Hi,
    Background:
I have a Mini server serving L2TP IPSEC vpn with both Mac and Windows (all XP, so far) clients.
The mini sits behind a Netopia router/firewall/NAT box that port forwards L2TP traffic to the mini.
The mini has a public but unrouted address (unrouted in the public Internet, that is.) The same Netopia serves as the router for outgoing public connections. DNS is served by other servers.
The VPN clients are distributed addresses from the unrouted public address space.
Client <-> NAT <-> Public Cloud <-> NAT <-> Private (with public addresses) <-> Mini (VPN)
Mac clients work happily, accessing internal and external hosts.
The XP clients have a registry value set to allow NAT traversal:
under HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\IPSec, AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule is set to 2 to allow dual Nat traversal.
The XP clients happily access internal hosts, but hang accessing some, but not all external hosts.
For example, most Google services are quickly displayed, whereas www.comcast.net or www.llbean.net hang. It appears to be more frequent accessing third-party hosts while processing the initial page. Some Google web services, e.g. some Google Map plugins do eventually hang.
An XP host internal to the network configured with the above registry key set to 0 (No NAT traversal)
exhibits the same behavior when using a VPN connection
Public Cloud <-> NAT <-> Private (with public addresses) <-> Mini (VPN) <-> Pvt. <-> Client
Same host without VPN works fine.
Clearing the XP checkbox that routes all traffic to the remote (VPN) router makes external hosts work
    as you would expect.
    So my questions are:
    a) What's XP doing?
    b) Can it be fixed? (besides routing public traffic away from the VPN.)
    Thanks Jonathan
p.s. MrHoffman, I almost asked this in the HP Forum as well, till I noticed you were here. (Assuming you are Hoff.)

    Hi soccerdude21490-
    +Is this possible?+
Theoretically yes. However, it would be up to the school to allow you access through their network.
The first step would be to contact the school's IT department and ask them if they will allow such a connection, and if so, could they please provide you with the settings (ip address etc.).
    Luck-

  • Photoshopversion for mac and windows when switching?

    Hi,
I have used now the photoshop trial version for windows for windows for a while and would like to buy the full version. However I will switch to a mac in December or January and would really appreciate If I would be able to start out with photoshop already now on my windows pc so that I don't have to wait with purchasing photoshop until I have the mac.
If I buy a photoshop license, will I get a version for both platforms or how does it generally work if switching platforms? I am also using Lightroom 4 and when I bought this as box it came with both a mac and windows version but I noticed that for photoshop I have to choose in the store.
Would be nice if you could help me with this.
    Thanks in advance and regards,
    Tom

Lightroom is multi-platform. It is licensed for Mac and/or Windows and you can install it on both since you can activate it on up to 2 computers.
Traditionally licensed versions of Photoshop and other apps are single platform licenses: Mac only or Windows only but you also have up to 2 activations. Mac/Mac or Win/Win.
Creative Cloud versions of Adobe Suites and apps (e.g. Photoshop) are all multi-platform licenses: Mac and/or Windows - so you can activate them on Win/Win or Mac/Mac or Win/Mac. That may work best in your situation purely from a licensing perspective but you'll be locked in to a monthly fee.
You can cross-grade from Windows to Mac but that usually involves an upgrade at the same time (e.g. CS5.5 Windows to CS6 Mac). Check with Adobe Sales for further options.

  • Using on Mac and Windows

I want to purchase CS6 design standard and before I do I wanted to know:
Can I use the products on Mac and windows (at the same time and one at a time) or do I have to purchase for each platform separately?
How many systems can I install and use on simultaneously?

So even for volume license the splitting of the suite to install its components on different machines is not allowed?
I know thats what is clearly stated in the EULA FAQ link you provided but it does not mention volume licensing
    See http://www.adobe.com/volume-licensing/policies.html
CLP and EA Policies > EULAs
All use of a product is governed by the EULA for the product, which usually must be accepted by electronic click-through. EULAs are posted on the Adobe product license agreements page. Where the CLP 5 and EA terms and conditions conflict with a EULA, the CLP 5 and EA terms and conditions supersede.
one of my local resellers said I could slice it. Thats why I want to confirm.
What you're calling "slicing" is what Adobe's EULA terms "unbundling".
4.5 No Unbundling. The Software may include various applications and components, may allow access
to different Adobe Online Services, may support multiple platforms and languages, and may be
provided to Customer on multiple media or in multiple copies. Nonetheless, the Software is designed
and provided to Customer as a single product to be used as a single product on Computers as permitted
herein. Unless otherwise permitted in the Documentation, Customer is not required to install all
component parts of the Software, but Customer may not unbundle the component parts of the Software
    for use on different Computers.

  • Install CS5 on both Mac and Windows

    Hi all,
I have an Adobe CS5 Design premium which I have been using for 2 years now. Recently, I switched to a Macbook Pro with Bootcamp, which allows me to dual-boot to Windows. Does my CS5 license allow me to dual-install on BOTH Mac and Windows OSes on the same laptop (technically, I am not installing on separate machines). If yes, how do I do so? It seems like my installation DVD is for Windows only.
    Appreciate any clarifications. Thanks.

Your serial number is only good for Windows, as well as the version of the software that goes with it.
