License Key Missing

I bought a laptop with a CS5 Master copy already installed. All worked fine until recently about a month ago when the individual tools started asking me for a license key. But I never got a key to begin with. What can I do to recover the license that was on the laptop or generate another fresh one? I am running an old CS5 Master Collection. Thanks.

If you purchased the computer new and it included a CS5 Master Collection and it did not come with materials/information needed for reinstalling it then you need to contact the vendor that sold you the machine. If it happens to be a Dell, they usually provide access to pre-installed software thru their web site.
If you purchased the machine as a second-hand machine then chances are you did not purchase CS5 along with it unless the seller formally transferred the license to you, in which case you would have to have been given the materials/infomation needed for reinstalling. Again, resolution would need to be dealt with thru the seller.

SAP License Key missing

I am in weird situation. I am upgrading from NW7-SPS18 to Ehp1-SPS5. While doing so, in "Down time" phase, system could not come back, as license is missing. currently only shadow instance created by upgrade process is running. My real client is not able to come up. I searched libsapcrypto.so file in all instances exe and also sapmnt..this file is missing.
I got new temp License from Sap market place. However, the shadow instance which does not accept the license,. Also, I could not bring up my client.
Is it possible to apply the license file from Unix level? If so, how to upload the license file.
Currently I could not continue my upgrade. I already submitted mesg to SAP for help.

Amazon AWS FMS - missing license key?

I have set up an Amazon AMI FMS instance which is working fine - but is behaving like a development edition.
When launching instances of my app from the Administration Console, I can only launch 5 or 6. After this, I see the instance name in the list, but in LiveLog there are no trace statements, and no log file is produced for that instance. It looks to me very much like I just ran out of NetConnections, as each instance needs to create proxy NetConnections to another app on the same server.
I ported this app straight from one of my own (Win98) FMS3.0 installations. I'm running the Administration Console remotely from the Win server.
I'm pretty used to the conf structure and files, and have checked several times. Maybe there's a new setting in 4.0, or maybe I'm just missing a license key...

I managed to resolve it. My app was built on FMS3.0, and when I ran it on FMS4.0 only 3 instances would start up. So I rebuilt the Application.xml from the template in the FMS4.0 conf, setting the process scope to app, and distributing over instances. All working fine now.
Still a great product.

Missing Crystal reports License Key for (CrystalReports11_5_NET_2005.msi)

Is there any way to retrieve a missing Crystal reports license key from a server install?
we are currently in the process of relocating a server app that has (CrystalReports11_5_NET_2005.msi) installed and the License key for the product is missing... Any help would be good as the project to relocate "Interplan" the application that uses Crystal reports has halted due to the missing License key...

As up to my best knowledge it is not possible to get the product key from server install.
You could get from the development box where the product is installed.
If you have issue with Crystal reports .Net SDK's.
Post your question in Crystal Reports .NET SDK forum.

I have the same problems... And I tried hard to follow your explanations but I did not manage to get it all sorted... Especially the hint "finally resolved it..." ..."because some tables where missing" didn't help me too much...

The problem:
I would like to write some programs but I get the error I need a developer id. Therefore I read all the topics about getting a license and the developer key and got the email containing the following:

I set it all in the SLICENSE and I got the following error:

With some retries I got also the error

My shortcut keys on CS6 are gone. I get a message to reinstall CS6. I would rather not go through the hell of getting the license key for Adobe. Any options?

I get the message that my shortcut keys have gone missing.... And the message says to reinstall Photoshop CS6. I would rather burn my arms off than go through the hell of reinstall with Adobe's horrible licensing process. Please help me avoid this! I tried system restore on my Windows PC to no avail. Any solutions or downloads I might try?

Not sure what you mean when you say "Adobe's horrible licensing process". If you have a valid license key code you type it in and you are done. The program, licensing system, checks that key against the online system and if it is valid and not installed on more than 2 computers at the same time you don't have to do anything else.
If the version of CS6 you are using is an Upgrade version then you will need to type in a valid license key from a qualified previous version. Again once that is done and it is checked against the online license system you are done.
As to your problem with the shortcut keys going away I "Think" that is a problem with your computer more than with Photoshop. Some how the file that holds the default and user edited keyboard shortcuts has become corrupted or you have somehow deleted it. If it became corrupted that is a Sure Sign you have a hardware problem. More than likely some type of hard drive problem, the drive might be on it's last legs, it is failing and will need to be replaced.
One thing I suggest you do from this point forward is make regular backups of your complete system. Like doing it every week if not more. That way when, NOT IF, you have similar problem you can restore your system from the most current backup. And if it is a hardware failure, like the drive going bad, you can restore your system to that state once the hardware problem is fixed.
If you do have a hardware problem, like the hard drive is dying, reinstalling PS won't stop it from happening again.

Lightroom License Key too short

I just bought a license key online but it seems like the key I find in my Adobe-account it is too short. I am missing 2 characters.
What I also find a little strange about the key is that it starts with 5 letters, and the rest are numbers.
Does somebody know the reason and solution to this?

Putting the license key in the installer w/ wix and RDC

I am rewriting an old installer in wix (wix.sourceforge.net). The installer deployed RDC "by hand", where they picked the files and stuck them into the InstallShield installer. I got the merge modules instead. The readme for the merge modules says:
license.msm - This merge module is used to apply the license keycode during installation. It exposes a custom property called License Key which must be populated with the keycode found on the Crystal Reports 9 CD envelope. This merge module is always required.
What does this mean? Do I just create a property called License Key and put the key in there? Has anyone done this with wix?

Thank you for getting back to me. The customer has a larger issue than the serial number, he is missing updates and the .Net Framework would not install in order to apply the updates. We will try a new approach to resolve the issue. You can archive this case.

I'm stuck. I've written a piece of software in Java and because of the way java's classes can be reversed
engineered I want to embedd and run the application on-line via my website say as an applet.
I read that applets can be very restrictive for example the user of my program will not be able to save
his work or a file on his hard drive. Thus not too sure how to wrap up the application.
How can I wrap up my java application such in order to acheive the following.
1) A license key is generated upon a valid purchase send out to the purchaser via his/her email address
2) Download my application with the necessary tools as say an icon on the users desktop.
I outsourced the license key functionality and was told by the programmer that there is no way that the license
key functionality would stop the user copying it onto another machine or passing it onto a friend - Am I missing
the point here as I paid for an incomplete solution but surley this should be the case. What are the steps required
to have safe license key functionality working properly.

to have safe license key functionality working properly.There is no absolutely secure way. Since the machine needs to be able to execute the code, it must understand it. Anything that can be understood can be reverse-engineered.
You can make it (slightly) harder by using a good obfuscator, but that only raises the clue barrier and doesn't produce an unbreakable barrier.
The only secure way is to never let the user have the code at all. That can be achieved by providing your software only as a web service/web application that you host yourself. This way the user can use the application but never have access to the code.

LR ask for License Key

I bought Adobe CC: PS and LR. I installed PS and LR as trial version. After buying the Cloud, PS worked without trial mode, but LR still wants to have a license key, but I got no key. Neither in the mail nor online in my Adobe account. How can I use LR?
PS: How to contact Adobe via mail? Haven`t found a way to contact them online (that’s crazy)

Try uninstalling Lightroom (you can keep all your settings when you do this - it's an option in the uninstall routine) and then re-installing it using the Adobe Creative Cloud Application, you should find it under Apps. Do a re-boot after uninstalling to make sure the CC app recognises Lightroom is missing.

Lost License Key

I recently had a hard drive fail. Apple replaced the drive and I restored my app from Time Machine. It's now prompting me for a license key which I haven't been able to locate. I purchased the original copy from an Apple retail store. Any suggestions?

CS3 says "trial period has ended" and demands license key - I own the product! but can't find the key

I bought CS3 a couple of years back, and have been using it without problems ever since. All of a sudden I try to open it today and it says "Trial period has ended, please enter license key". The trouble is, I have no idea what the key is, when I bought the software I did it online with a work email address and I no longer work for that company so there is no way of tracing the email from my end.
has anyone experienced this? Any help gratefully received, I really need to do some work! and I don't really want to pay for PS all over again.

I registered my CS4 with Adobe in August 09 and have been using it ever since. Until today when trying to open InDesign I get a window that says Software Setup wants my registration code. It says I have two options - Use this on a trial basis, or enter registration code, which I did and it says it's invalid.
I downloaded the tool you mentioned, but it wouldn't run saying it was missing a .dll file.....
I didn't buy from Adobe, but if it was pirated wouldn't they have been able to tell when I registered it?
I started a case with Adobe support, but from what I'm reading I don't expect much!
Any Ideas?

License key for BW MDX driver

When trying to create a Crystal Report using a SAP BW MDX query, I get this error:
"Database Connector Error: 'The license key does not include use of the BW MDX driver. Please contact Business Objects for information on how to obtain such a license key.'
Same error with any of the other SAP sources like Info sets, ODS etc.
What key are we missing here?

You should NOT enter the code for the int.Kit in the CMC (Under License keys). Log on the BOBJ server machine and either use the License manager (should be available if you have installed the CR Designer on the server too) or select to modify the installation of the int.Kit (Start->Settings->Control Panel->Add or remove programs).

i think you have to change the license file attributing the number of licensing for your addon, then download it from https://websmp202.sap-ag.de/smb and then install it on SAP License manager, then I think you should give the license for your addon for individual users (example manager)
