License of use

Hi
I am constructing a test Portal, this it has exit to Internet, and I want to show it to a client.
Desire to make a quotation of the resources, including the use of the tool.
For that reason I include the following questions
-How much do I have pay for the use of Porlets?
-How much are the license of 9iAS Standard and Enterprice?
-Have anyone built Portals that are available to the final users and what is the URL?
Somebody you can orient to me on these questions.
Thanks for their help

Ramon,
Portlet licensing and availability is discussed in the Oracle Portal FAQ.
You should discuss Portal licensing with your local Oracle sales representative or reseller. You can also visit the Oracle Store for up-to-date pricing information. However, purchasing from Oracle Store is not yet available for all countries.

    Relationship Between the Parties
The relationship between you and us is that of licensee/licensor. Neither party will represent that it has any authority to assume or create any obligation, express or implied, on behalf of the other party, nor to represent the other party as agent, employee, franchisee, or in any other capacity. Nothing in this agreement shall be construed to limit either party's right to independently develop or distribute software that is functionally similar to the other party's products, so long as proprietary information of the other party is not included in such software.
    Open Source
"Open Source" software - software available without charge for use, modification and distribution - is often licensed under terms that require the user to make the user's modifications to the Open Source software or any software that the user 'combines' with the Open Source software freely available in source code form. If you use Open Source software in conjunction with the programs, you must ensure that your use does not: (i) create, or purport to create, obligations of us with respect to the Oracle programs; or (ii) grant, or purport to grant, to any third party any rights to or immunities under our intellectual property or proprietary rights in the Oracle programs. For example, you may not develop a software program using an Oracle program and an Open Source program where such use results in a program file(s) that contains code from both the Oracle program and the Open Source program (including without limitation libraries) if the Open Source program is licensed under a license that requires any "modifications" be made freely available. You also may not combine the Oracle program with programs licensed under the GNU General Public License ("GPL") in any manner that could cause, or could be interpreted or asserted to cause, the Oracle program or any modifications thereto to become subject to the terms of the GPL.
    Third Party Technology
The Programs may contain third party technology. We may provide certain notices to you in program documentation or otherwise in connection with such third party technology. If you are permitted to distribute a Program, you agree to include with the distribution all such notices and any associated source code for third party technology as specified, in the form and to the extent such source code is provided by us. For clarity, the existence of a notice does not affect the terms under which third party technology is licensed to you.
Third party technology will be licensed to you either under the terms of this agreement, or, if specified in the program documentation, readme files or otherwise in writing, under separate license terms ("Separate Terms") and not under the terms of this agreement ("Separately Licensed Third Party Technology"). Your rights to use such Separately Licensed Third Party Technology under the Separate Terms are not restricted or modified in any way by this agreement.
    Entire Agreement
You agree that this agreement is the complete agreement for the programs and licenses, and this agreement supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements or representations. If any term of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain effective.

which is different from http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17781_01/license.112/e18068/toc.htm#BABHFGHA regarding production or commercial purposes.

At first sight, I was surprised too, but after reading both terms thoroughly I came to the same conclusion that orafad posted above: The text you posted is entitled Oracle Technology Network Early Adopter License Terms. Of course, EA-Terms are different from the ones for the production release. To illustrate the example with software from another company: It was possible to download betas of Microsoft Windows "for free", but it was just for evaluation, testing and "early adopting" purposes, not for productive use. Similar rules apply here. The final release will definetly not be published with that EA License. Oracle has published a draft of the final terms so you get an idea of what you'll be allowed to do with the software you evaluate when it will be released.

  • In R12, do we need to have CRM suit license to use Dunning letter feature in Financial Track.

Hi,  we are with R 12.1.3 and using Full financials and SCM but not CRM suit.
Now wanted to configure Dunning letters and as this is now moved to Advance Collections Module, in the process of setting up this, I used CRM Resource manager, Telesales  Agent, etc seeded responsibilities.
Is it required for me to procure the License for CRM suit also, as we do not use Oracle CRM track at our site. Please advise.

    Hallo Eddy,
Thanks for the fast reply. But it is still not completely clear for me.
I have read the Licensing Guide of SBO but I still don't know what we have to do. We are an ISV and make add-ons. We are making an application where an operator in the warehouse can enter a delivery note to the system. This application is using DI API.
According to what I can read in the licensing guide we need an add-on solution license. How do we get this for our application? How much does this costs?
What does a customer has to buy from SAP if he has 2 users working with the application of SAP and 10 users that use an application that uses DI API? Is this 2 professional users licenses for x EUR and a license to use add-ons for x EUR?
Thanks in advance for the reply

  • Project Server 2013 licenses in use

Is there any way to retrieve the exact number of PWA and Project Pro licenses in use for a Project Server 2013 instance?
In older versions you had the 'About Project Server' page and for 2010 there was a SQL script. But this script does not work for Project Server 2013.

Thank you Paul! That query works just fine.
I reworked it a bit to suit my needs: take into account DENY and the fact that a PWA CAL is included in the Project Pro license.
My query to list the licenses in use is below:
    SELECT
    PERM.Username,
    CASE WHEN PERM.LogonProDeny = 1 THEN 0 ELSE PERM.LogonProAllow END AS [ProLicense],
    CASE WHEN PERM.LogonPwaDeny = 1 THEN 0 ELSE
    CASE WHEN PERM.LogonProDeny = 0 AND PERM.LogonProAllow = 1 THEN 0 ELSE PERM.LogonPwaAllow
    END
    END AS [PwaCal]
    FROM (SELECT
    RES.RES_NAME as Username,
    MAX(LOGON_PRO.WSEC_ALLOW+0) AS LogonProAllow,
    MAX(LOGON_PRO.WSEC_DENY+0) AS LogonProDeny,
    MAX(LOGON_PWA.WSEC_ALLOW+0) AS LogonPwaAllow,
    MAX(LOGON_PWA.WSEC_DENY+0) AS LogonPwaDeny,
    CASE WHEN RES.RES_TYPE > 100 THEN 0 ELSE 1 END AS UserIsActive
FROM pub.MSP_RESOURCES AS RES WITH (NOLOCK)

LEFT JOIN pub.MSP_WEB_SECURITY_GROUP_MEMBERS AS GM WITH (NOLOCK) ON GM.WRES_GUID = sc.SECURITY_GUID
LEFT JOIN pub.MSP_WEB_SECURITY_SP_CAT_RELATIONS AS CR WITH (NOLOCK) ON CR.WSEC_SP_GUID = GM.WSEC_GRP_GUID AND CR.WSEC_CAT_UID IS NULL

  • Do you have to buy License to use Adobe Interactive Forms in WebAS

    Hello,
Im testing at the moment the NetWeaver Java Trial with Web Dynpro (Java) and Adobe Interactive Forms.
You have to download Credentials and install it to use interactive forms in the Trial version. These are valid for 2 month.
I would like to know if you have to buy and install the Licenses to use (in the full amount, with digital Signatures etc.) the Adobe interactive Forms in the Fullversion of NetWeaver ?!
A Link to a document of SAP or Adobe to this topic would be really helpful.

    Hello,
You will find the Adobe Forms Licensing information at links below:

  • Determining Which License Was Used To Install Snow Leopard

A few months ago, my company purchased two Mac Minis with two Snow Leopard Server licenses.
For various reasons, we want to do a clean reinstall on one of the Minis, but we can't remember which license we used on which Mini.
Is there a way to tell from the machine which license was used to install the OS?
    Thanks much,
    _Josh

Have you checked in Server Admin or System Profiler for the key number? Not sure if it's there, but worth a check. Beyond that, I'd suggest calling Apple Support.

  • Am I licensed to use the Acrobat Standard XI bundled with Fujitsu ScanSnap SV600 Scanner in business environment?

    Dear Sir/ Madam,
Am I licensed to use the Acrobat Standard XI bundled with Fujitsu ScanSnap SV600 Scanner in business environment?
I just bought a Fujitsu ScanSnap SV600 Scanner. It comes with an Acrobat Standard XI and a product key. My understanding is that many Adobe product licence keys (e.g. educational version, home use version) are not allowed to use in business environments. My bundled Acrobat Standard XI does not state that it is limited for educational or home use on the CD. Am I licensed to install it in my office computer for business use? Is there anyway for me to review the licensing conditions of my product key?
Thank you very much for your advice in advance!
    William

Adobe software purchased appropriately can be used in any environment the licensed user has. There is no restriction (at least in the USA) on educational customers using the educational license for professional use. I am unaware of any home use versions of Adobe software. There are versions of Adobe software that are directed toward non-professionals (for example Premiere or Photoshop Elements), but there are no restrictions to using in a business as long as it is used by the person it was purchased for (one license-one user). Years ago other countries had different license agreements, but in today’s environment, I do not believe that is the case for current versions of Adobe software. So, yes you can use it in your business. In fact, Fujitsu Scanners like the ScanSnap are geared towards the business user. I am a very happy user of their 1500M scanner (which while designed for a Mac, came with Acrobat Standard software :-)

  • Back ground wont stay, keeps saying NOT Licensed evaluation use only?

  • I would like to buy a developer license to use on a mac at a public library from a flash drive any issue with this?

I would like to buy a developer license to use on a mac at a public library from a flash drive any issue with this? Very new to this

The license is for the Developer not the machine it is run on However there could be soma issues with trying to develop on a public machine.
The biggest is does the library machine have or will they let you install  and run Xcode and if you are developing for IOS will they let you plug in your devices?
In addition will they allow you the hours needed on the machine? Most public machines have a time limit especially if there are others waiting to use it.
All-in-all in can be done but it won;t be an easy situation.
    good luck

You don't. You can install the same copy of FCP-7 on two macs (as long as you own both macs). You can't operate both copies at the same time.

There's no simple answer. Depends on your usage, which apps you need, how often and of course your budget.
Is using the software on both Mac and PC important to you? If yes: Cloud is very beneficial. If no: CS6 or Cloud does not matter.
With the Cloud you get the latest versions of the software included in your membership at no extra cost. That can be terrific provided your hardware and operating system can handle it. Some people don't care and are happy with CS.

The primary hurdle for many is buy (CS6) versus rent (Cloud). With the Cloud, when you stop paying the software stops working.
