License table in SAP

Hello,
Just a quick query is there table in SQL that would hold the licence allocation? Is this a table I can access from SAP or SQL or is it a hidden system table?
Regards,
Juan

Finally managed to locate an answer on the forum. Tables appear to be:
MLICHECK - Table for temporary licenses.
SAPLIKEY - Table for permanent licenses.

    Hi,
    You can create a sub-routine and pass all the table entries in variables and then you can print them.

  • Extracting data from Z-table from SAP R/3 to BW

    Hi all
    I want to extract data from a Z-table from SAP R/3 system to Bw system. Currently I am on BW 3.5. Since it is a Z table I dont have a standard extractor for it & I dont knw how to create it. Can anyone provide me with the step-by-step documentation of how to extract data from a non standard SAP table????

    Hi
    You need to create Generic Datasource on the Z-Table you want to get data from
    Go to RSO2 transaction to create generic datasource .
    You need to give technical name of datasource under datasource type you want and click on create. Then you can give descrption and Application component under which u want see the datasource,
    enter the z table name under view/ table and save.
    here you can click on check boxes to make fields hidden or selection fields.
    Regards

  • How to Access table in SAP

    Hi Gurus,
    Actually I am new to SAP and was wondering if somebody could tell me how to access a table in SAP where the relavant data is being stored.
    e.g. If I want to check table VBAK, what wouldbe the menupath/t-code?
    Thank you.
    Juhi Singhania

    Hi Juhi,
    Since you are new to SAP you might want to have this link handy.. it has several useful information including the tables list

  • Extracting Values of a Field from a Database Table in SAP ECC System

    Hi,
    I downloaded Extracting Values of a Field from a Database Table in SAP ECC System Using MII 12.0
    senario from sdn. I'm trying to do that senario in MII 12.05. But I have problem with section 6 in page 7 (you can supply senario from sdn)
    "6- Under the loop of Repeater, use action u2018Rowu2019 to append just the string part of the WA which will display only values for field u2018Batchu2019"
    I did not find WA elemen in Output element of Repeater_0
    How can I create WA element?
    Thanks.

    Cemil,
    Set up a SAP JCo Interface action block.  Use the RFC name RFC_READ_TABLE.
    In the link editor map the table to "MARA", set RowCount to something small (20 is good sample size) and create an xml transaction property named FIELDS and copy the following into it:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><FIELDS>
          <item>
            <FIELDNAME>MATNR</FIELDNAME>
            <OFFSET/>
            <LENGTH/>
            <TYPE/>
            <FIELDTEXT/>
          </item>
          <item>
            <FIELDNAME>MTART</FIELDNAME>
            <OFFSET/>
            <LENGTH/>
            <TYPE/>
            <FIELDTEXT/>
          </item>
          <item>
            <FIELDNAME>BSTME</FIELDNAME>
            <OFFSET/>
            <LENGTH/>
            <TYPE/>
            <FIELDTEXT/>
          </item>
          <item>
            <FIELDNAME>XCHPF</FIELDNAME>
            <OFFSET/>
            <LENGTH/>
            <TYPE/>
            <FIELDTEXT/>
          </item>
          <item>
            <FIELDNAME>DATAB</FIELDNAME>
            <OFFSET/>
            <LENGTH/>
            <TYPE/>
            <FIELDTEXT/>
          </item>
        </FIELDS>
    Then link the Transaction.FIELDS to SAP_JCo_Interface_0.Request{/RFC_READ_TABLE/TABLES/FIELDS}.  You may run into problems with two other fields and optionally they can be removed (set link type to remove xml).  I usually remove them initially for testing.  The two fields are:
    SAP_JCo_Interface_0.Request{/RFC_READ_TABLE/INPUT/NO_DATA}
    SAP_JCo_Interface_0.Request{/RFC_READ_TABLE/INPUT/DELIMITER} (or you can set this to something like a semicolon,";" or tilda,"~".  I find it easier to caclulate position by length, but that is my own idiosyncrasy.)
    Once you get this one working, we can explore how to do filtering on the dataset.  Your output should be something like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <RFC_READ_TABLE>
      <INPUT>
        <DELIMITER />
        <NO_DATA />
        <QUERY_TABLE>MARA</QUERY_TABLE>
        <ROWCOUNT>20</ROWCOUNT>
        <ROWSKIPS>0</ROWSKIPS>
      </INPUT>

    Add a repeater sourced on:
    SAP_JCo_Interface_0.Response{/RFC_READ_TABLE/TABLES/DATA/item}
    Link your repeater output to a tracer with this:
    Repeater_0.Output{/item/WA}
    What you will see in each tracer message is a single line of data with all the fields contents concatenated together.  You can look up what each field in the string represents by the length of the field as returned in the Response segment of the RFC_READ_TABLE rfc.  Then you can parse out the data you are interested in.
    Give this a try and let me know how you succeeded.
    By the way, I could not find the scenario you referred to.  Can you post a link?

    Mike

  • Protection of Key SAP HR tables in SAP R/3 Upgrade

    Hello,
    We are upgrading SAP R/3 to ECC 6.0. We have SAP HR, that also needs to be upgraded. Based on this, I have 4 queries, seen below.
    1- What are the Pre-reqs and protection of data related activities prior to doing the above upgrade?
    2- What are the key tables (in SAP R/3 and SAP HR) to be protected prior to "OR" during a upgrade?
    3- What are the key tables (in SAP BW) to be protected prior to "OR" during a upgrade?
    4- What is the length of a typical upgrade? (Is there a tool to analyze the expected time duration?)
    Thanks for help in advance

    Hi Abdul
    Please find answers to your questions below .
    One should be very careful with the upgrades with HR or BW unlike normal upgrades. Though upgrade do not delete any data but some exceptional tables may be skipped by upgrade and which will not have any data after system is converted to target
    1.
    Befoe prepare
    Check SAP_HR 46C SP level
    during  Prepare
    Add ST-A/PI in upgarde as well so that error will not be in JOB_RDDNTPUR
    include all support package of the SAP_HR comp in BIND _PATCH phase
    Before upgarde phase :
    Backup table T512W(wage types in HR )
    Before downtime
    backup ST03 data
    2. Key table in HR upgrade is T512W
    3. check the upgrade guide for BW
    4. The best prractice for this kind of project is to have upgrade system (sandbox which is copy of development ) . Try to have similar hardware configuration as PRD
    This system will give the timeline for entire upgrade
    Upgrade depends on hardware ,database ,size of database ,no of support packs binded in
    So matra is " Read Read and Read "
    Success !!

  • How to change the unload priority of a table in SAP HANA?

    Hi Experts,
    How we can change the unload priority of a table in SAP HANA? I know by default the priority is 5. Is there any way so that we can check the unload priority of a particular table in HANA studio? Is there any SQL statement to get the same?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Arindam

    Hello Arindam,
    Just for the future:
    ALTER TABLE - SAP HANA SQL and System Views Reference - SAP Library
    To check before hand:
    select
    table_name, unload_priority from SYS.TABLES
    where table_name = '<Your Table>'
    To Make the change:
    alter table <Your Table>unload priority <Priority You Want>.
    As you have asked in the BW on HANA section I assume you're on BW and you could also have checked this with tx SE14.
    Hopefully the above gives you everything you need.
    Kind Regards,
    Amerjit

  • How to copy the Data From Oracle Table To SAP Table

    Hi Friends,
    We need to copy the data from Oracle Database Table to SAP Table. The data should be updated simultaneously in both tables . Should I write a program that contains the native sql statement like EXEC SQL PERFORMING WRITE,....
    I appreciate any suggestions regarding this.
    Regards
    CSM Reddy

    Hi,
    since you posted this question in the DB2 forum I assume that you are using a DB2 database for your SAP system.
    To access a table from a legacy ORACLE database you may use the DBSL multiconnect feature. I.e. you open a secondary connecction in the SAP system to your ORALE database. You can then ready the data from the ORACLE database into an ABAP internal table and insert it afterwards into the DB2 table on the main connection.
    Another way to access an ORACLE table from a DB2 database is to use the DB2 federated database feature. This requires a little bit more DB2 skill. With this feature you can make the ORACLE table visible within the DB2 database. To copy data you can then simply use a "INSERT ... SELECT" statement.

  • How to activate table in SAP Dictionary?

    Hi Friends!
    There is a table in the Oracle database, and I need see it as sap table.
    The basis guys told me that they have been create a synonimous.
    I can not see this yet, they told me that I need activate it in Abap dictionary.
    How can I do it?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello SSap,
    I'm not sure if anyone really got the point...
    There is a table in the Oracle database, and I need see it as sap table
    ... I can not see this yet, they told me that I need activate it in Abap dictionary.
    True and false :
    1) false : you can access a database table via "native SQL" (EXEC SQL or ADBC classes) without need of defining the table through
    2) true : in ABAP, it's really advised to define tables via ABAP dictionary so that you can use Open SQL
    and the name is an extrange one, the name lenght is over 20char
    Sorry, but tell basis guys that database tables must be 16 characters maximum to be available via ABAP dictionary.
    I tested what happens when we create a transparent table in ABAP dictionary while the database table already exists : if it has same definition, then existing data is kept. Otherwise an activation error occurs. But always be prudent if the table contains data (though you say it's a duplicata, if I understand well "synonimous"), I see every year a developer who destroys table data while adding a field to a table (even in recent releases).
    Last thing, it is advised to create tables from SAP so that to avoid this kind of issue, when possible of course (and you can later alter database tables from Oracle if you want)
    Best regards
    Sandra

  • Why we use Cluster Tables in SAP Hr

    hai friends, i am new to  ABAP-HR and SAP HR, Actually i am core abaper ( working on SD, MM and Fi Modules ) , can any one explain me why and what is the use of Cluster tables in SAP HR, why we use in SAP HR function Module ?
    Thnx in advance
    Vijaya

    Hi Vijaya,
    This may help for ur question..
    Why cluster table:
    Cluster tables combine the data from several tables with identical (or almost identical) keys into one physical record on the database.
    Data is written to a database in compressed form.
    Retrieval of data is very fast if the primary key is known.
    Cluster tables are defined in the data dictionary as transparent tables.
    External programs can NOT interpret the data in a cluster table.
    Special language elements EXPORT TO DATABASE, IMPORT TO DATABASE and DELETE  FROM DATABASE are used to process data in the cluster tables.
    PCL1 - Database for HR work area; (long text, etc)
    PCL2 - Accounting Results (time, travel expense and payroll); (payroll results)
    PCL3 - Applicant tracking data;
    PCL4 - Documents, Payroll year-end Tax data (change logs, etc)
