I have been trying to transfer my Photoshop license for CS2 from one Imac to another
I was sent a link to do so, with a serial number, but even when i try to do it that way, it won't let me do it, because it says that A 'previous installation of Photoshop cs2 was detected on your system. '
I have tried to remove it, but it still won't allow

I recently purchased a PC download for Photoshop Elements 12 and I'm going to be converting over to a Mac. Can I just transfer my elements license to a Mac or what do I need to do so that I can use this on my Mac? Thanks in advance!

I wanted to follow up with this question that I had because I was able to find a solution! I went to the Adobe site and opened a chat with an Adobe rep. All I had to do was chose from a couple of drop downs and explain to them that I needed to be able to download my Photoshop Elements on a Mac and he sent me a link to do that. All I need to do is open the download on my Mac and use my original serial number. I was really impressed with the promptness and the degree of service that I received. Hope this is helpful to others having this same issue!

All you need to do is deactivate (check mark remove serial number) and uninstall if you are going to give the computer away.

That doesn't make sense, if you have the original install disc, you need not and should not transfer anything. You insert the disc in your new computer and run the install.
If you mean to tell me you do not have the install disc, then click on the link for a trial CS4 installer, download it to your new PC, enter the serial number and activate.

Adobe has an enticing offer of 50% off off the Production Premium suite. It's available in many markets, but not here in India. However, I have an uncle who lives in Canada. I intend for him to make the purchase from the Adobe Online Store. A cursory search indicates that a few people have done this before. However, a couple of queries:
1) if my uncle creates an Adobe ID and buys the software as an ESD, does he automatically become the original licensee or just remain the purchaser until it's registered? He won't download the software after purchase, unless I ask him to. Does the same answer apply to retail box purchase?
2)If he does become the original licensee, just via the sale transaction, the License Transfer form should suffice to get it in my name, right?
3)If he does NOT become the original licensee, can I then register the product with my Adobe ID?

All download software is pre-registered to the purchaser's user account, so yes, a transfer of license may be required at some point. It has no influence on activation, though. So as long as you're on good terms with your uncle and get the serials, you can "keep it in the family", I guess and need not rush the transfer.

Yes you need to buy them again. Apps written for one device will not run on the other.

Macromedia License Transfer

I'm currently using an absurdly old verion (MX) of Macromedia Studio; as a home hobbyist in the UK I can't afford to buy current retail versions. I bought Studio MX secondhand when Macromedia was in existance and their licensing department transferred the license for me.
I've found a secondhand retail version of Studio 8 which I could afford but only want to buy if I can legally own and use the product. However, the instructions for transfer require that the product be registered with Adobe and the seller is unsure whether the product is actually registered. Is there anyway I can legally buy and own this product?
I've had live chats with Adobe representatives but essentially they simply seem to fall back the the "it's no longer a supported product" approach and I can't get a straight answer; equally Adobe seem to do their utmost to prevent you contacting them by email so I can't get hold of their licensing people for a conclusive answer.
Does anyway know whether I can still buy second hand Macromedia software legally or is there a contact within Adobe that I could ask? I'm not sure that this is the best forum, but there doesn't seem to be one specifically for licensing issues.

The product I'm looking at is a genuine boxed retail product, so not pirated and will a legally transferable license; I'm not worried about dodgy software, I do however want to be legally licensed and don't know how to go about this.

How Do I get a License key for Trial version from the App Store?

I downloaded a Trial version of Aperture 3.1.2 a few weeks ago from the App Store. I love it. Now I want to buy it, but, can't figure out how to get a license key from the App Store. When you start up Aperture Trial version, a 'nag' box comes up asking if you want to buy the application or continue using the trial version or Authorize (I guess that is what you would pick once you have the key). If I pick "Buy", the application opens Safari and takes me to the Apple online store, NOT the App store! At the Apple Store, you can buy the key for $199 or an upgrade from a previous version for $99. Whoopie! What is Apple thinking? The App store is selling Aperture for $79.99. I guess that means you don't get the box or written manuals (which I haven't used for any software in many years).
So how do I get a license key for the App Store version? Do I just Go to the App Store, pay the money, download and install the program over again. Then transfer my trial version library somehow? Then deinstall the trial version? I'd love to buy and use Aperture for $79.99, but, I'm not willing to pay $199 for it. Apple has me confused.
Anybody have a clue?

P.S. I'm quite willing to put in the time and effort necessary to learn Aperture (or any other software I decide to use, "Pro" or not). I simply don't see the value in buying the box version when I'm pretty sure I won't be using any paper manuals. I very comfortable using online help files, having done so as a professional numerical control programmer for many years in my work. For reference, I'm retired, on a limited income and will be using Aperture as a rank amateur photographer who could use a little more horsepower than iPhoto offers.

CON-SU1-AS2A10K9 contract if for ASA+IPS bundle. If AIP-SSM-10 ws purchased as a spare the contract would be CON-SU1-ASIP10K9.
I am not sure whether or not this Cisco Service for IPS contract can be used to cover just the AIP-SSM-10 if it was purchased as part of a Bundle instead of a Spare.
I would recommend that you check with your Cisco reseller or Cisco Sales Representative.

Serial Number (Lack of) for CS2

I am attempting to download CS2 and it is asking me for a serial number. Another user recommended I create a ZIP file, however this is on a work computer so I was granted special privileges once to download the program. How can I find this number or bypass it with out having to re-download files?

Did you pay for PS CS2 many years ago, so you are a licensed user? Be aware that the CS2 licensing servers were decommissioned some years ago so you have to download and install special versions of CS2 and use a special serial number, but this is only for users that originally purchased CS2 and are licensed to use it.

If you don't have this version then I don't know of any way to get it without downloading it. It is unclear what situation you're talking about regarding zip files or special privileges and what that might have to do with a serial number. Also the term "download" typically means to get a file from a far away server (like Adobe's) and copy it to your local PC or Mac using the internet. This process should not, yet, be asking for a serial number. What does ask for a serial number is when you install the program using the installer that was downloaded.
